Some of the types of music I play are top 40, club/dance, hip hop, r&b, house, reggae, funk, b-more, alternative, disco, 70’s, 80’s, techno...the list goes on. I’ve performed at nightclubs, lounges, proms, school dances, weddings, fashion shows, block parties, sweet sixteens, and corporate venues like Neiman Marcus, Urban Outfitters and Nordstrom.

Fun, Versatile, Communicative -- The Absolute Best!
BOOK HER! We were searching for an MC & DJ for our wedding and were so glad we found someone who is cares about her craft and her couple. Marlene was so pleasant to work with and even went the extra mile for us when we inquired about a song alteration request. Her positive energy and passion is unmatched, and that translates to a real good time on the dance floor!! Several of our guests were still raving long after the wedding about how amazing she was and were even interested in hiring her for their own weddings. If we ever host another big event, Marlene would without a doubt be our go-to -- she just gets it.

Marlene was great in every step of the process for our wedding day! Our music selections for each part of the cocktail hour and reception were thoughtfully chosen as she made sure every selection was aligned with our preferences. Our guests couldn’t have enjoyed the reception enough and raved about how she kept the energy going all night! The uplights included in our package saved us some time in getting a separate lighting vendor as well.

Lady Fx was amazing, I found her at another wedding and instantly knew she was the one to dj our wedding. Her communication was impeccable and she handled every detail. The day of the wedding she kept the party going but also dealt with all our last minute changes very well and jumped back in without missing a beat. She was very professional but did not lack character at all. We were also able to get out Photo Booth with her and a get custom template that fit our wedding vibes.

Marlene- DJ Lady FX is truly a master at what she does. There’s a reason she got Best of Philly DJ of 2024! If you want someone who knows how to both work and read the room, you found your DJ! She was absolutely perfect for our wedding day. Her illuminating energy is truly infectious and she made our day so easy and stress free! She was even kind enough to do a zoom appointment a few weeks before the wedding to get to know her and lay out a blueprint. She’s so organized with her timeline and everyone danced the whole time. Guests still say how wonderful she was. She really listens to what you want and has a very gifted intuition . I would hire her again in a second for any future event and recommend her to anyone in search of an amazing DJ!

I was seeking a warm and whole hearted DJ. I wanted to ideally use a free spirited person who would keep the party going all night long, yet have sensitivity and remain genuine during those sentimental moments. I spoke with DJ lady fox on the phone and instantly felt a sense of trust with her. She did an outstanding job. My guests have been calling me and saying that our wedding was the best one they have ever been to. My guests have commented on DJ lady Fox's fantastic DJ skills, flexibility, and style. Her photo booth was one of the coolest I have seen. Her assistant was just as wonderful as her. He was personable with every guest and quickly developed a genuine rapport with everyone.
DJ LADY FX was very responsive, and patient with me. If i ever need a DJ again, the choice is very clear to me. I really could not suggest DJ lady Fx more and I am so grateful for her. Your DJ will have a large impact on the outcome of your wedding, so choose DJ Lady Fx. She was just outstanding.

We spent weeks looking for the right DJ because it was so important to us for the dance floor to be bumping. We felt so relieved to find Marlene because she understood our vision right away and was excited to meld together our tastes with our parents’ 80s favorites for seamless cocktail hour to dinner to party vibes. She was incredibly helpful prior to the wedding, sharing her expertise on how best to set up the speakers and microphones, the best order for toasts and dances, and how to stack some of our more explicit bops towards the end of the night. Day of, the music was perfect the whole entire event and everyone is still raving about how great our DJ was. We can’t wait to throw our next Philly party so we can hire her again!

My wife and I are both musicians (violin & cello) that have been hired to play at HUNDREDS of weddings and we have listened to many DJ’s and live bands throughout the years. Too often we have heard DJ’s that make the wedding feel like a lifeless corporate event or live bands that end up being hit or miss. And so when the time came to find a wedding DJ we knew we wanted to find a passionate DJ devoted to their craft, someone with the versatility to go from the quiet, thoughtful slow dances all the way to the high-energy end of the night. Marlene is all that and more!! She knows how to THROW IT DOWN and make the entire room feel the irresistible vibe to GET UP AND DANCE.
When we had our first FaceTime call with Marlene, we knew she was the DJ for us. She has been collecting vinyl records for many years and is a true old-school (in the best way!) honest-to-goodness disc jockey; a skillset which is very rare to find nowadays. With her fluency she seamlessly blends modern songs and beats with throwback classics so that everybody in the crowd has something to enjoy. DJ Lady FX was the perfect DJ for our wedding/NYE celebration. DJ Lady FX was professional, reliable and transparent throughout the planning process and she was respectful of our personal playlists/music preferences resulting in a night of dancing we(and our guests) won't forget. She was always willing to collaborate with us in planning and she was able to integrate production for other vendors/entertainers who performed at our event. DJ Lady FX's energy and cold sparklers were the perfect touch to our NYE ceremony, it wouldn't have been the same without her!

Marlene was, simply put, the absolute best of the best and a true joy to work with from start to finish! She was highly organized and made sure to give us dates in advance with flexibility built in, which made planning fun and easy! She also had thorough knowledge of an outdoor venue and made sure to ask all the right questions so that we could have the best sound setup possible for the ceremony and reception. Most importantly, she is a truly talented DJ who can gauge the vibe of a crowd and make the best music choices to match personalities and setting! If you want a great party then you NEED to hire Marlene! I am a fellow wedding vendor, and I met Marlene while working with her. I LOVED her style, and the way she would feel out the crowd. She also really listens to her clients needs. My wife and I wanted a Hispanic/Miami vibe, and she brought the house down. We are still getting told that our wedding was the best party ever!
If you are at all concerned about your DJ, and whether or not the music will be amazing, HIRE MARLENE! Seriously. The best decision we made!

I don't often write reviews, but, I wanted to go out of my way to write one for Marlene (aka DJ LADY FX).
She is a SUPERB dj!
Being a wedding photographer, I encounter a ton of djs, and Marlene is one of the best I've seen in my 10+ years! I stalked and chased her down online in order to find her info to sing her praises she's that good.
She is great at what she does (her music selections are on point - I didn't know I NEEDED to hear a fabulous Donna Summer remix but I absolutely did). Everything.......the music, the sounds, her style.......is not only really great but it all just seems so effortless as well.
It's everything you what you want from a DJ. Plus her laid-back approach puts everyone around her at ease.
If Marlene happens to be free for whatever date you need her, SNATCH HER UP. Right now. You're welcome.

Marlene is such an incredible DJ! Our wedding was a true PARTY and people are still raving at how amazing she was. The music was hit after hit after hit and it was exactly what we wanted. The dance floor was never empty. She really played off the energy of the room and kept the vibes up. My husband chose her and our entire process of booking her services was easy and thorough. Hands down the best DJ we could have hired for our wedding. We had a huge mix of people, different ages and from different parts of the world, and she kept us all on the dance floor. She was also on time and easy to work with.
We listened to an amazing mix of Afro beats, Caribbean, and reggaeton music as requested, and she was able to read the crowd to change music for each part of the event.
We also had a small wedding with a ceremony during brunch and DJ Lady FX was very accommodating in providing a mic and making announcements to keep the party going. Highly recommend, people raved about our DJ!!!

My husband and I could not have asked for a better DJ on our wedding day. DJ Lady FX (Marlene) was beyond amazing from start to finish. I went back and forth several times with song selections for the night, and she was more than patient through it all. On our planning calls, Marlene made sure to go over everything in detail, and that definitely helped the night go smoothly. Our guests were on the dance floor all night!! Everyone was amazed at how Marlene catered to the crowd as we had a wide age range of guests. I am soo happy we decided to go with DJ Lady FX!!

DJ Lady FX was an INCREDIBLE part of our wedding! All of the guests commented on how great the vibe and music was, and we even had our caterer and servers dancing at one point!
She was great at reading the room and following her instincts, and also took into account what we had shared we wanted the wedding to feel like. She also managed to create a party atmosphere without making herself the center of it, which some DJs do and which can be distracting. It was the perfect blend of being present and "in it" with our guests, without being obtrusive.
She calls herself a vibe curator and that is precisely what she is, and she's wonderful at it!

DJ Lady FX is fantastic. We first came across her while she was spinning at an event that we attended. We are both big music fans and we’re impressed by what she was playing and her mixing. We soon came to learn just how in demand she was.
We were fortunate to secure her services. She helped bring our night to life. She was easy to work with, very professional, and totally relatable. She listened to her feedback and suggestions and work them into her Setlist. The lighting she provides is also a huge plus.
Perhaps the greatest thing of all, however, it’s just how nice of a person she is and what a cool vibe she has. That translates to everything that she does and ultimately translated and came across to all of our guests at the wedding. Our guests are still talking about how great the music was and how “Hot” the dance floor was.
We can’t say enough positive things about DJ Lady FX!

Marlene did a fantastic job as the DJ for our wedding. She made sure that the evening ran smoothly with the timeline by introducing events. She also did a great job at determining songs to play that fit the venue well while also accommodating guest requests. We got many compliments on the song choices played and that was mostly due to Marlene's great playlist.

Marlene was absolutely exquisite! The minute I spoke to her, she put me completely at ease and erased all of my wedding-planning anxiety. I knew we would book her before the call was even over. In the planning stages, Marlene brought such a wonderful energy and was an absolutely pleasure to work with-- it's such a gift to have a vendor that you feel confident in. I truly didn't think my small wedding, full of my shy friends would involve much dancing, and as a non-dancer myself I had absolutely no idea what to request or expect. I put all of that in her capable hands, and she kept everyone on the floor, thrilled, all night.

Marlene is an AMAZING DJ!! I met her at a Nordstrom event where she was providing the music, and booked her to DJ my mother's 60th birthday party. From there our relationship continued, as she recently DJ-ed my entire wedding. As a couple, it was extremely important to us to use our wedding to invest in local, diverse vendors who we vibe with, are extremely good and passionate about their work, and get our vision for the day. Marlene was that and then some!! She played every song we liked, had the crowd rocking, and even stayed an extra 30 minutes when our wedding got started off later than expected due to the venue. What I most appreciate about Marlene is her positivity, flexibility, professionalism, and communication. Our check-ins turned into full-on, cool discussions, and she was great to work with during the chaotic pandemic. Trust me--book her and you won't be disappointed!!

Our wedding was taken to the next level by Marlene. Marlene was incredible, and made our wedding night absolutely unforgettable! With only 24 guests, I was almost worried that our wedding would feel too intimate for a big dance party - but Marlene pulled out some incredible mixes that set the perfect tone for the evening, and had everyone out on the dance floor! (Literally, people were so excited to dance that they forgot about the cake!) She seamlessly transitioned from cocktail hour vibes to quiet dinnertime tunes and ended with an amazing hour of dancing. She respected our requests to keep the announcements low-key, she played all of the songs we requested, and filled in the rest with perfect choices that matched the vibe. Can't thank her (or recommend her) enough!
