Lucas dj'd our brunch wedding and was amazing. From the ceremony, to the meal, to the reception, he perfectly captured the flow of music we hoped for. He had no issues working with the saxophonist we hired for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and had everyone dancing even though it was early in the afternoon. We've received so many compliments on the music and would definitely hire him again!

Lucas was an amazing DJ - he definitely catered to our needs and to the vibe of our wedding and we would absolutely recommend! One thing we loved about him was that he was chill, unlike most DJ's who are way too hyped up! If we ever get the chance, we would love to work with him again! All the best!

We've had Lucas in our venue, Rule Of Thirds, many times whether it's a wedding, large social gathering, or corporate function. While really knowing how to read the room, Lucas always gets the party going. As an Events professional myself, we've seen many DJ's come through our doors, but Lucas remains at the top of our preferred vendor list.

Lucas was flat out awesome. If you want ALL your guests partying on the dance floor without inhibition ALL night long- partner with Lucas! Music is arguably the most important part of a wedding/party, and a skilled DJ uses music as a universal language to bring people together and bring out their joy. For our wedding specifically, we wanted the party rocking all night once the main food was done, letting their hair down and getting very sweaty and very loose. We had people from Latinx and American countries/cultures that couldn’t communicate that well, and we wanted everyone to connect on the dance floor. We gave Lucas a few must-play songs, and some others to give him a feel for our vibe, and he ran with it from there- switching between genres, mixing live, and getting EVERYONE MOVING TOGETHER! His sound equipment was fantastic- good deep bass, clear range, covering a space holding 150 people. He arrived early, running cable down to the outdoor ceremony site for audio, and stayed until the last person wobbled off the dance floor (my wife). He was priced reasonably compared to others we checked out, and immediately from the first call we clicked because of his down to earth “I like to party” and confident “I know how to throw a party” attitude. He was moderately more expensive than the cheapest DJ we vetted, and less expensive than the highest priced, but the higher priced had Bella and whistles in their packages we didn’t care.. Lucas is straight up music and rocked it. Thanks Lucas!!!

I actually can't envision my wedding without Lucas Walter providing the sound track from the pre-reception cocktail through to the bitter end of the after party. His choices, tempo, cadence, intuitions, ability to read the room, respond, and ULTIMATELY ELEVATE was such a key component to me and my now wife having the best night of our lives. And the reason it came together so immaculately, I have to believe, is because of the time and effort he put into the pre-wedding preparation. Multiple zooms, surprising suggestions, structuring questionnaires — it all added up to a level of confidence and comfort Amanda and I had going into such an incredibly high stakes 8 hours of celebration. I cannot overstate how front to back indispensable Lucas was. 10 out of 10 would I recommend him to others looking to make their weddings truly the best day of their lives.

Lucas was the hit of our wedding! Beforehand, he was super communicative and professional. He's a really positive person and instills so much confidence. He took a site tour in advance and on the day, he showed up early . His vibe is really relaxed and super friendly. As far as music goes, I had multiple guests tell me he was the best DJ they'd ever heard at a wedding. EVERYONE was dancing. Couldn't recommend this guy more!

Stop searching now and give Lucas a call. We had the most electric dance floor at our wedding and the mix Lucas dropped on us slapped… faces were melted. All our guests complimented the music, but I give all the credit to Lucas. We worked together to discuss the vibe, couple must plays, but he did all the heavy lifting and absolutely delivered.

Lucas was the highlight of our wedding! Everyone was on the dance floor the entire reception, exactly what we wanted. Lucas was amazing to work with. He does a great job of striking a balance between what’s cool and relevant, and classic hits. For weeks after our reception our guests were reaching out raving about our reception dance party. The final song was the cherry on top of a perfect evening. 10/10 would hire again.

We knew we needed to hire Lucas after our first call with him. He immediately understood the disco-funk music style we wanted at our wedding and his enthusiastic energy was contagious. I had told a friend of mine in the NYC music scene that we hired Lucas and he said that he is the best and we were in good hands. He was absolutely right. Lucas knows how to control the dance floor! Each song blended into the next so smoothly. People were avoiding going to the bathroom and barely anyone touched our dessert because they didn't want to stop dancing. Everyone was feeling the music, from our 11-year-old cousin to our 80-year-old aunts. People were pulling out some impressive moves that I'm not sure they knew they had. I even crowd surfed! We had Lucas DJ our wedding in Holbox recently. It was originally scheduled for March of 2020, but we had to cancel and move to Jan 2022. He was a true professional and so wonderful! He made himself available for our new date and didn’t even change his rate (even though he very well could have and all our other vendors did). At the wedding, he was incredible and created the most amazing vibe on the dance floor! The most common comment of the night from everyone, including myself: “I have had to pee for hours but don’t want to leave and miss a song!” He also made the most beautiful remixes of Persian dance numbers and other bangers (I am Iranian and my husband is Irish Catholic). Every single guest was on the dance floor for every single minute! On a personal note, he is also just an awesome and nice person. The best money spent for our entire wedding. I can’t recommend him enough and hope to hire him for every party we ever have!

Lucas is amazing! He is so fun and easy to work with. Our venue has a little bit of a complicated set up for DJ equipment and music, but he did it super quickly and everything sounded amazing. The music he played was perfect! He played a little bit of everything so the 20 something crowd was happy and so was the 60 something! He was the perfect DJ!

Lucas is INCREDIBLE!!!! He is so easy and chill to work with. He needed zero instructions on setting up at our farm wedding (not the easiest location). Every song he played was perfect, and he alone made the dance floor -- and party -- come alive. He is excellent at reading the crowd. We could've danced all night.

Lucas was recommended to us as "the DJ you want to hire if you want someone you can trust to keep your dance floor full and to read the crowd to keep your party going," which immediately appealed to us. We live in Brooklyn, and got married in the Catskills, and found out that Lucas also DJs regularly at some of our favorite spots in Brooklyn. From our first contact with Lucas, he was responsive, kind, interested in getting to know us and our taste, and super professional. We connected on a personal level as well as on a musical one. Now, having had Lucas DJ our wedding and supply all of the audio equipment, we can't recommend him highly enough. The audio for our ceremony and speeches worked without a hitch (he also helped to professionally feed our ceremony audio/music into our livestream setup), Lucas knew exactly the right moments to take cues for music, and when the dance party began, he played great music that totally matched our vibe and tastes, and as promised, he kept the dance floor full all night (no small feat, especially because we downsized our wedding to 60 guests). In addition to being an excellent DJ, he's also a great guy to be around, and on your wedding day, it's really nice to feel like you are surrounded by people you want to spend time with. Multiple people came up to us to ask about Lucas during and after our wedding, because he was that exceptional. Hire him and you will be so glad you did! Couldn't ask for more in a DJ.

The BEST of the BEST! From the moment we hired Lucas it was professionalism and clear communication throughout the process. Lucas is the man. First off he is very helpful logistically in the audio experience at the wedding - he brought in all of his own equipment, and had different speaker/mic setups for the rooftop ceremony/cocktail hour and the indoor reception. As for the dance floor vibe, not only is his musical collection vast, his taste and ability to play exactly the kind of music you want to hear at your wedding is incredibly impressive. He brings a special flavor to the DJ experience, not just a run of the mill type and was able to tailor our musical experience exactly to what we wanted, and we wanted something very specific for our wedding (not just Aretha Franklin, Journey, and top 40 type songs). I can't recommend this guy enough, just book him and you'll be incredibly happy you did.

Lucas deejayed our after party and was AMAZING! We got married at the New York Public Library and moved to the Andaz across the street post-wedding. The music was exactly what we wanted and everyone was dancing until 3am. The vibe was perfect, a major party but also a quality mix of songs. We made a few requests and it was exactly the feel we were looking for. He’s cool and personable, which made for a great experience all around.

I am an event producer. When I got married, I asked Lucas to DJ my reception. Why? Lucas is arguably the most diversely talented DJ I've ever worked with. He knows intuitively how to play to a crowd of any kind. He reads the mood of a room like no other and will inevitably get you and your guests on the dance floor. The range of his library is insane. All I can say is that Lucas was amazing and has become necessary for all our major family celebrations...! The first time he played for our wedding in Greece and then he came back to play in our son's christenning and then he came back for one of our closest friend's 50th...! He can keep a crowd up and going the whole night! And he is a sweetheart as a person! We love his music because it's about great songs and music (more hip-hop, RnB, but also some of my fav pop and rock stuff) mixing it well in his own unique style..! We could not recommend him more..!

Lucas was such a hit at our wedding, not only did he DJ our actual wedding, but he did a pool party the day before, and the rehearsal dinner the night before. He set the tone with amazing music throughout, and kept the energy up all weekend long. He nailed the ceremony too, which was complicated with quite a few songs meant to be played in a specific order with perfect timing. We cannot recommend Lucas enough to DJ your wedding and pre-parties.

Awesome, DJ! Wow! He did an amazing job at our wedding! He's DJ'd other friends parties as well, and let me just say even the grandparents have to get up and dance! He was very reliable, kind and just an overall guy! If I could get married all over again, he would be my guy!
