DJ Mark Sawyer

We are so happy we went with Mark as our DJ for our wedding. He has so much experience which is quite evident when you first speak with him. He is super enthusiastic about getting to know you and what he can do for you to make the music on your wedding day great! He gets to know you and what your wedding day expectations are by having you complete a thorough questionnaire online. I'll be honest it can seem intimidating because there are lots of questions but it covers EVERYTHING! Once I submitted the form we chatted again and he ran through everything he read, how he thinks he interpreted your wedding day plan and asks any lingering questions you had. You also can ask him ANY questions you have along the way and seek out his advice. After that call (about a week before our wedding) I felt like he knew everything we wanted which is why I feel the form is so important. He offers suggestions if you are unsure - I went with his opinion several times because his advice was so good! He told me that I could change anything I wanted right through the wedding day and I appreciated that flexibility! The day of the wedding everything went perfect! If something needed to change, I would walk right up to him say "we are going to do this this and this which might push our timeline back" and he was fine with that and made it work! I never had to worry about a thing. I also gave him a few suggestions of songs we liked and didn't like but not a huge list. My guests loved the music he played and he worked off of their song choices to keep the dance floor alive. It was seriously the best day ever and it goes by so fast. Go with Mark so you don't have to worry about all the little details yourself or making sure things run at a certain pace on your wedding day.. that's what he will help you with and he will tell you he loves keeping things on track and moving. He will truly make your wedding day stress free because you can clearly tell he loves what he does (and is sooo good at it!). Mark was great! From the initial conversation we had to the actual day, things went very smoothly. It was clear that he was an experienced DJ from the first time we talked. He brought up a lot of good suggestions and ideas that I hadn't thought of and we used a lot of them! His wedding planner online makes it easy to plug in all the songs you must hear and the ones that you definitely don't want to hear, and he didn't have a problem chatting with me multiple times leading up to the big day. He was able to source a few quirky songs for our ceremony that definitely weren't traditional, but as soon as I heard the processional song being played I knew it was time for my wedding. Mark was professional and courteous during the ceremony, checking in with me on timing and adjusting as needed when stuff changed on the fly. He was really great and flexible with us and kept our friends and family dancing all night. Thank you Mark!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Mark Sawyer and highly, HIGHLY recommend this DJ for events, especially weddings. I was extremely picky with my music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception... as I wanted it enjoyable and recognizable for all generations but also very fun and that would promote a good time for all. Mark Sawyer gave me all of that and more. Everyone raved about him. He arrived 2 hours early, provided us with a set up outdoors for our ceremony, another for our tented cocktail hour on location, and his main set up for our reception in an adjacent ballroom. He emceed perfectly - kept everyone in the know as to when something was coming up (first dance, cake, etc). He was funny and personable, and kept the party rolling smoothly all night long. He provided 2 or 3 different lighting set ups, both romantic for our first dance and colorful for the open dancing songs. He was SO unbelievably organized - from his planning website we used for the year we were planning the wedding, to the wedding itself, lining up the wedding party up and confirming everyone's names, offering suggestions, and every so often met up with me and my husband throughout the night to make sure we were all set for the next event. This DJ was amazing to work with. He truly knows his stuff and shows his experience. His music choices that I left up to him were so perfectly what I wanted. I will always recommend him.
