We had an amazing experience with The Whidbey Island DJ Collective and DJ Matt Bell. Matt showed up right on time (early in fact) and came fully prepared with all the equipment and lighting for the tent to ensure the day ran smoothly. From start to finish, he made the entire process incredibly easy and stress-free. Prior to the wedding weekend, Matt walked the entire property together with us to discuss placement, flow and sound logistics since we had the ceremony and the toasts & dancing in two separate locations in the backyard, both of which he covered seamlessly on the day of our wedding. Matt asked all the questions we hadn’t thought of ourselves :) even volunteering additional equipment to make logistics easier for the jazz band we hired. He took the time to build us a thoughtful playlist that perfectly matched our music preferences and wove in song requests from our guests. The energy was fantastic, and the dance floor was always packed from moment we opened up the floor. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ to keep the party going and make our special day even more memorable. Matt is an incredible DJ and an even better human being. I would highly recommend Matt and his team for your special event!

Matt was everything we could have asked for on our special day. We started working with him 6 months out from the wedding, and every step of the way he was communicative, flexible and a pure joy to hash out details with. Matt paid close attention to our every request, and on the day of the wedding delivered the vibes we were hoping for. Our guests couldn't get enough of DJ Matt Bell!

We hired Matt for our wedding this past September and it he did an amazing job. We found him incredibly easy to work with and I feel like we put him to a slight test and he passed with flying colors! For our wedding we didn’t want traditional music (we have very eclectic taste), we provided him with a base playlist and he took it and ran with it. He did a great job reading the room and see who was on the floor and what they wanted to hear. Not only were his selections good but his equipment he brings is top notch. The speakers sound so clean and crisp and it had full range of sound from high to low. Standing on the dance floor I could feel the music as if I was at a concert. We like some pretty heavy bass music and his system had no problem pumping out the womps. He also had a full array or lights and effects that made it feel like a night club on that end of the floor. It was amazing He was even nice enough to provide us with some footage of the reception which was totally an unexpected but very welcomed surprise. If you are getting married and matt is available I HIGHLY recommend him, he was just absolutely there to help our wedding be great in any way he could and it was more than we dreamt of. Thanks again Matt!!

Our DJ cancelled on us about 4 days before our wedding date. We obviously where panicking to find a replacement. Lucky we found Matt who was available, reasonably priced and provided all his own equipment and gear for our ceremony and reception. Highly recommend hiring hime for your next event!

My wife is making me write this review. We had a wonderful wedding and Matt was awesome. He seemed to actually give a shit and he played every song we asked him to play. He even stopped playing Bruno Mars 5 seconds after we sent the maid of honor to intervene. He even mixed into the next song seamlessly on zero notice. He played a bunch of bangers and his music system is sweet. Seriously, this guy is good. Also he was pretty affordable compared to the others guys we spoke too.

Matt was one of the best DJ's my husband and I have ever seen at a wedding. All of my friends keep mentioning how much fun they had and asking, "where did you find him?" He was both incredibly supported and helpful in making our wedding a success, while also making me want to dance all night; and I don't dance. Do yourself a favor and at least give him a call. I was very surprised how honest and straightforward he was in what he could offer and what it would cost. I wish other people I spoke with were as sincere as Matt. Hire him, period.

Matt was the perfect DJ for our wedding. My husband and I are pretty particular when it comes to musical taste and Matt definitely delivered! He invited conversation and had a good handle on our vibe, made sure to play songs that we had expressed were important to us, and seemed to sense the energy of the reception really well. Dance party was a hit. Beautiful and very fun day. We came in from out-of-town and were blown away by the whole experience on Whidbey.
