We love DJ Mav! From the start Mike has been a great contact. He's organized, level-headed, and has a great sense for what is needed to make a great party. There were many little details to work out that I was stressing over, such as timing the processional music correctly and sending over mp3 files for our special first dance track. Looking back I really didn't need to worry because Mike handled everything perfectly. We booked him in the partnered package with PsPi studios which I highly, highly recommend. (I'll give them a separate review shortly.) The musical intuition during the dancing portion of the night was phenomenal -- somehow he picked banger after banger. I think not too long into the night Mike figured out the kind of crowd we are because I had some friends who danced ALL NIGHT. We actually saved a lot on liquor because they were too busy dancing to drink. Some of the older guests were marveling at the younger crowd for knowing all the lyrics to a lot of songs! DJ Mav played a huge role in making our special day totally perfect and I highly recommend them.

DJ Mav was great to work with for our wedding. Our DJ from the group was Joe, and he was the best! Everyone was dancing the whole reception, and the music went from current songs to throwbacks to current so seemlessly. He played songs we wanted to hear, stayed away from what we didn't want, and I just can't say enough about how fun it was. We also did a photo booth, and there was always someone getting their photo taken and someone waiting for their turn. Thank you, DJ Mav, for being the soundtrack to our wedding.

We used DJ Mav Entertainment for our wedding this fall. We had DJ Joe who seamlessly mixed songs throughout our night that kept our family and friends on the dance floor the entire time. The ceremony music and first dances were mixed perfectly as we had some unique requests. DJ Mav exceeded mine in my husband’s expectations! He answered any and all of my questions in a timely manner, and the planning couldn’t have been done more smoothly. He had every person up and dancing the reception. I had people texting me the following days telling me how much the legs are still so sore! The photo booth was also a great hit for all of my guests as well. I cannot speak more highly for their professionalism.

Mike was communicative from the beginning, so accommodating of our unique venue and itinerary, beyond professional, and an amazing Master of Ceremonies. Mike and his team were amazing. It was actually his birthday so it was very gracious of him to show up and make the day all about us. Everyone raved about the music. He also did a phone call beforehand that put me at ease knowing we talked everything through. DJ MAV was a referral from a friend of mine and wow was I happy to have made the decision to book him. I incorporated some live musicians into my processional and he worked it all out perfectly and was understanding and accommodating. His vibe was priceless as we had a large part of our party up on the dance floor all night. My now husband had to take his shoes off and wear a pair of the woman’s flip flops because he was dancing so much. Highly recommend for a great time!

I cannot say enough about DJ Mav. He nailed everything. Every detail, every request, he was on it! Took several opportunities to consult with me on the music choices, even had great recommendations when I struggled to pick certain songs. Friendly, efficient, dependable. I really appreciated how he was available the night before for a last-minute change and did not seem inconvenienced in the least. Great host and all around, a class act! I wouldn’t highly recommend and use again in the future.

Our DJ Loren was amazing. He was really good at reading the room and playing music that people enjoyed through each phase of the night. We wanted my mom to sing the song for our first dance, and they made sure they had the track she needed and the microphone to handle it all too. We had a couple last minute tweaks and unplanned speeches and the DJs were constantly checking in with us to make sure things were going smoothly and adjusted the timeline as needed throughout the night. They did the perfect amount of MCing based off what we wanted, not too much talking but enough to keep everyone engaged! They were totally able to capture our music taste and vibe that we were trying to achieve. They respected all of our requests and made sure the guests (and assertive in-laws) did too! We are so thrilled that we decided to get a DJ, and in particular, that it was Loren! He was incredibly helpful in planning our ceremony procession, cocktail hour, traditional dances and the reception - and not just with music. He helped us figure out the best flow for the day and gave us a lot of helpful advice. He was pleasant to work with, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect day. There wasn't one song played that we (and our guests) didn't love. Loren has a some kind of sixth sense when it comes to what to play and when! The emcee, Jimmy, was fantastic at keeping us aligned to the program all day long and it honestly wouldn't have been the same without him there hyping up the crowd during our reception. The booth, the lights – everything was absolutely perfect. Beyond what we could have dreamed up. They did so much more than just playing music and announcing the wedding party; they created an atmosphere that is unmatched by any other wedding we've been to. Not being biased because it was our wedding! The guests all said the same! We didn't originally plan to hire a DJ/emcee. However, after meeting/talking with Mike at our venue's open house, we realized hiring DJ Mav would take a boatload of stress and responsibility off our plates. And it cost a lot less than we anticipated! We definetly got more than our money's worth - and happily tipped them more than we originally set aside because they were THAT GOOD! If you're on the fence about hiring a DJ - get off it! It was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Five stars for DJ Mav - highly recommend!!

Mike and his crew were AMAZING!!! We spoke several times during the "planning phase" before the wedding. Both times, he was punctual, professional, and personable. The day of the wedding was even better than I had hoped for! Not only did he play a wide variety of music during the cocktail hour and dinner, it was also exactly what I had requested. THE DANCE FLOOR WAS PACKED after dinner!!! Everyone was having such a good time that we asked if he could extend his time with us (which he did willingly!) because no one wanted the night to end! After all was said and done, the comment we heard from EVERY person we spoke to was "your DJ was the BEST we have ever experienced". Without a doubt....I would HIGHLY recommend DJ Mav for any event!!

Hiring the DJ was not my task, but as mother of the bride, I was thrilled with Joe and his crew from DJ Mav Entertainment. During the planning process, he asked the bride and groom for their play list and their “do not play” list, and seamlessly wove their selections into the evening music, reading the crowd like only an experienced DJ can, keeping the dance floor occupied all night. He handled introductions and announcements with ease, no “cheese,” and kept his talking to a minimum. We had our wedding at an expansive outdoor venue, and he and his crew set up the sound system for each area - ceremony, cocktail hour, and then reception - perfectly and unobtrusively, including accommodating a live guitarist for the ceremony. The entire venue, the whole day, had continuous, lovely music as guests moved about. I promise you will be happy and have no worries if you hire DJ Mav Entertainment!

I just got married and DJ Joe was our DJ for the day/night. I cannot say enough good things about Him. He was easy to work with, extremely prompt in communication, very clear with everything and when it came to the wedding he followed all of our instructions perfectly (we had a lot of songs that started at certain points in the song), played the genres we wanted and wow the transitions were so smooth!! He played all the right songs at the right times and it was just so perfect. He also followed any changes we made during the day and you wouldn't even have noticed. DJ Mav Entertainment is a true professional, the BEST wedding dj with the best prices. You truly get a 5 star experience from the beginning to the end. Our wedding venue recommended DJ Mav to us and we found the company on The Knot. We were impressed by all of the 5 star reviews and thought this was our choice before even speaking to them. We spoke with Mike (DJ Mav), the owner. His responses to us via email were almost instantaneous and he was very easy to get a hold of. He gave us his cell phone number and we texted him as questions arose and had a long consultation. Being able to get a hold of our DJ easily was very important to us. We were thrilled that Mike was our DJ, which was different from other ‘bait and switch’ djs out there. His online booking platform was easy and fun to use. We just picked the music and traditions we wanted to do, did a review call a week prior and that was it. We did not have to worry about anything! Our guests danced all night long. The dance floor had an incredible energy to it. The dance floor was packed all night and he played all of our requests. One of our friends wanted his contact information to book him for their wedding. We were having so much fun we decided to add an hour of overtime, just 10 minutes before the party would have needed. Mike had a way of playing a variety of music that everyone liked. His transitions and mixing was spot on and the music quality sounded perfect. We are so glad that we picked DJ Mav Entertainment for our special day.

We are from New York and got married outside of Ocala, Florida in February. For our wedding, music was the most important part. We wanted people to leave remembering our night. Mike of DJ Mav Entertainment KILLED IT and exceeded all of our expectations and some. He was SO NICE, and was super interactive with our guests in all the best ways. I wish he could DJ my life! Not only was Mike the jam, DJ Mav Entertainment provided an extremely user friendly portal where you could make your own playlist, a 'do not play' list (which is equally important), and also add what songs to play for what event (i.e. first dance). Mike definitely played a lot of songs off our playlist but he also threw in songs that aligned with what our "style" was. Needless to say, the dance floor was never empty and we have a ton of videos to prove it was the dance party we've ever thrown. So many of our guests are still talking about how fun our wedding was, and we owe a great amount of that to Mike! DJ Mav was fantastic! The music was the number one thing I cared about during our wedding, and I’m so glad we hired him as it was everything I wanted for the day. He’s punctual, polite, upbeat and really listened to the vibe we wanted throughout the evening. We had a call with him ahead of the wedding to go over our music selections and wish list to make sure we were totally comfortable the day of, and he listened to everything we asked for. He did a great job reading the room as well and making sure the dance floor didn’t die down! I had so many people come up to me to say the music/DJ were great. My day-of planner also caused some confusion on when the speeches were happening, and DJ Mav stepped in to fix it and made sure it ran according to plan, which we were very grateful for. Would definitely hire him for any wedding or party needs!

We had DJ Joe perform at our post-elopement celebration. He listened carefully to the unique music taste my husband and I had. He brought so much fun energy and kept the crowd going for our dance party! As a customer, I felt heard and understood. You can really tell that Joe cared about our experience and always kept the party happy and uppity. I'm so appreciative to have had such an amazing DJ at our event and I 10/10 would recommend him to anyone.

I can never say enough good things about the DJ Mav team! I've worked with all of them for both personal and professional events and they kill it every time. A good DJ is imperative for a successful wedding/event, not just to keep guests happy and entertained, but also in helping keep to the timeline. They're responsive and adaptive, and really make an effort to get to know their clients so they can provide the best service possible. You can be sure that no matter who your DJ is, you'll have an awesome event. Mike, Joe, Loren and Ethan...can't wait to hang out with you guys again!
