Joe is amazing at what he does! My husband and I wanted someone who was able to understand both cultures and seamlessly blend them together for the reception. He went above and beyond. From curating an excellent playlist to please all cultures and ages to coordinating live performances and surprise songs he did it flawlessly! Both sides of the family loved having Joe MC and DJ the entire event. The process of working with Joe was amazing! He is very attentive to the couple and paid attention to every single detail. I met with other vendors before meeting with Joe but one meeting with Joe showed me his professionalism and his ability to work the wedding event. I could not have asked for a better DJ and MC and if you are looking to hire someone for your wedding look no further!

We got married 9/24/22- and we had the pleasure of having DJ Mojoe as our DJ and MC! He literally came to our rescue since our original dj canceled on us the week before our wedding- but it was a blessing in disguise. DJ Mojoe was one of our most favorite vendors we booked, and we wished we got to work with him longer! His pre-wedding meetings are extremely thorough, and we loved his custom mobile app where we could upload all of our must play songs for the evening! It really made us way more at ease knowing that he got our vibe and would be able to play music that would be perfect for us and our guests. His DJ setup is absolutely amazing with the lights and his dj table with a screen that he’s able to project pictures of the bride and groom! The entire experience is totally custom and makes you feel like an all star! We received so many compliments on the music from our guests- there was always a crowd on the dance floor! We are huge Disney and pop culture nerds- and he mixed in some Disney/Mario/Nintendo sounds and songs which gave everyone a big laugh and made it so personal to us! I would highly recommend dj mojoe! You won’t regret it!

There just aren't enough good things to say about DJ Mojoe! He was very attentive to our requests and hopes for our wedding, exceeding them in every way possible. Our guests, weeks after the wedding, still, rave about how much they loved DJ Mojoe! From the very first meeting, it was clear he was far more organized than any other DJ we'd spoken with and even gave us some fantastic advice without knowing whether or not we'd even sign him for our wedding. He goes out of his way time and time again to make the day memorable, including making several suggestions on wedding coordination that we could consider trying out. He also customized our MC experience by having us (from groom to bride and vice versa) record special messages to be played before the first dance which made our day that much more personalized and unique. He also had us record messages to our parents right before our father/daughter dance and son/mother dance which brought tears. We were able to use his uplights to create a mood during the entire evening that matched the tempo of the music. Another amazing point was that he created a slideshow of our photos from all of our adventures that just played throughout the wedding and it added yet another personalized touch. Lastly, DJ Mojoe stood out exceptionally because he’s always working on honing his craft by attending workshops and making content to teach others how to improve as a DJ. We absolutely loved that he is a lifelong learner and our wedding day was a testament to how awesome and professional DJ Mojoe is!

Book DJ Mojoe! honestly the best part about having our wedding at a Trademark Venue (Tivoli in Fallbrook) was that we had to go through their preferred list for DJs and that is how we came across Joe's information. On our first meet and greet via Zoom, I already felt great vibes from him and knew he would be the perfect DJ and MC for our big day. I have a big Filipino family and my husband is Black and Salvadorean, he got ALL our friends and family dancing the whole night. Communication was also so easy with Joe and he never made me feel like I was bothering him with my questions. He even helped custom make my father and daughter dance as well as our grand entrance song. Do not skip DJ MOJOE! Honestly you will have the PERFECT wedding night with him!

We knew DJ Mojoe was a true professional from the start when we booked him, but the experience he created for us on our wedding day was above and beyond anything we could have ever expected. DJ Mojoe operates on another level. He flew all the way from California to Virginia for our wedding. Our wedding venue was at a farm and barn, and he and his assistant Darren were able to set up in such a seamless and effortless manner despite having to hand-carry all their equipment and having to DJ in a rustic outdoor setting. He mixed our entire personalized playlist – quite a feat! The equipment and lighting are super high-tech and modern, and the sound was the perfect volume. The transitions were as smooth as butter, and he was able to choose the perfect songs for the perfect moments. He orchestrated the vibe and energy of the entire day like a master-level conductor, from the beautiful quiet moments during our ceremony to keeping our guests extra hyped and energetic during our reception and dance, all the way to the last minute. His voice is the perfect radio voice and added that much more magic to the experience. Nothing ever felt forced at any moment, even with the sudden interruptions and announcements for the surprise events we planned with him behind the scenes. It was such a pleasure to work with and meet DJ Mojoe and we feel lucky that he played such an important role in making our dream day so special.

DJ FREAKIN MOJOE!!! WOW!!!! None of these reviews were wrong about him!! DJ Mojoe was referred to us by our venue, and quite honestly, all it took was one look on his IG and we instantly decided to look for no one else!!! If you’ve seen his stories on IG, it’s obvious that DJ Mojoe knows how to throw a party— no matter what you’re into! We’re from Vegas and obviously carry a standard (LOL) but not only did DJ Mojoe exceeded our expectations, he delivered an exceptional performance from start to finish. Guests were coming up to us all night literally begging for the playlist— in which we had to assure them that this was all Mojoe’s magic! He was both DJ AND MC for our wedding— even at the last minute we asked him to be in charge of hyping up our guests for our wedding games and announcing winners.. he absolutely crushed it and our guests had such an amazing time! They would not stop raving about him.. even days after the wedding! Not only is he a talented DJ, he’s also very sweet and thoughtful— he took the time to get to know us as a couple, what we loved + didn't love, listening intently to what we envisioned for our special day. He’s extremely organized, a great speaker, and really knows how to read the crowd. Whatever we wanted, he delivered and more! Romantic boho vibes, to Arab wedding music, to vegas rave party, followed by some karaoke?! No problem! HE KILLED IT!!!! Our wedding was literally perfect and seamless, and we could not have done it without Dj Mojoe! We are no doubt hiring him for future events… even flying him out here if we have to!! We just had our backyard wedding this weekend and DJ Mojoe hit it out of the park! He is resourceful and knew what to do when we only had one power outlet for him to use. The music still pumped like it was a dance club at midnight. Planning with him was a breeze because of his online questionnaire and planner that transferred all the information we were storing on Google docs, spreadsheets, and my head all in one organized planner. He knew to ask the right questions about logistics, producing sound quality, and how to work with other vendors and staff. The Night ran late because our mass and ceremony went longer than expected but he knew how to course correct and manage the timeline with new parameters he was given. His transitions for music and for speeches were excellent and went smoothly. The Dance Party! Though limited to 30 minutes due to neighborhood quiet hours he put on the best dance session I've ever had! Surrounded by family and friends we were dancing to Our favorite choices of 2000s dance music. He kept it lively and raucous as our dancing climaxed before quiet hours hit. Then quieted it down at our request for quiet hours. He provided great direction and announcements to make sure crowd control was orderly and everyone knew where to go at the end of the night! We are so happy we chose DJ Mojoe for our wedding because his organization, professionalism, and instinct for a good party were all in full force on our wedding day. Keep up the party DJ Mojoe!

Three Words: BEST DJ EVER!!!!!!!!! A couple of things define a Successful Wedding Reception - Food, Open Bar, Flowers/Décor, and MUSIC. I am a very particular and extremely picky person - so picky that I opted not to have a Wedding Planner and planned the entire Wedding by myself ("if you want something done well, do it yourself" type-of-mentality). I went through a whole vetting process before booking any of my Vendors and I am so glad that I picked Joe as our Wedding DJ! Out of everything that I had to plan, Music was by far the EASIEST portion! The entire process was seamless from beginning to end. Joe's Planning App is super easy to use and convenient, as you can make all of your Wedding Song Selections in one place (Processional, Grand Entrance, First Dance, etc...). You can even add Song Requests (as many as you want) for the Dancing portion of the Reception, as well as add any Special Instructions or Notes. DJ MOJOE also has Spotify Playlists for every portion of the Wedding (Recessional, Cake Cutting, Garter Removal, etc..), which were super helpful when it came down to song selections. Once you're done selecting everything, he goes over every detail with you and makes sure that all of your (and his) questions are answered. Communication-wise, Joe was very responsive and easy to reach. Anytime I had a question, I would text him and get an immediate response. DJ MOJOE also offers Lighting "services" and did our Uplights - those totally set the mood to our Reception Ballroom and tied in very well with our Wedding Theme and Décor. You can see for yourself in the pictures! Now on to the actual Wedding Day... The Vibes were IMMACULATE. The song choices played during the Dinner portion of the Reception were perfectly selected. I remember just writing "Chill Vibes" in his Planning App because I didn't know what else to put and DJ MOJOE UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT! My entire Wedding Party (myself included) were grooving and vibin' to the music while enjoying our dinner. Joe was also a great MC! He had a very calming voice and made sure to highlight all of the extra little things we offered to our guests throughout the evening, such as our Photobooth, Boba Bar, Dessert Table, and Late-Night Bites. A talented DJ is a DJ that can read the crowd and play songs that everybody dances to - and DJ MOJOE is definitely one of those... My guest list was made of both young and old folks; and Joe made sure there was something for everyone. He changed the genre of music based on the vibe of the crowd and even included Mashups of old classic songs mixed with today's top hits - everyone loved those! When I tell you that my dance floor was NEVER empty from the moment Dancing started till the VERY END of the night, I am in no way exaggerating... DJ MOJOE ROCKED MY DANCE FLOOR and my guests LOVED him! So much so that they asked for an "Encore" and wanted to keep the party going even after the reception was over! Loool! A few of my guests even went as far as tipping him themselves because that's how much they loved his work! Overall, Joe did an AMAZING job! I would 1000% recommend him to anyone planning a Wedding and I will recommend him over and over again to all of my friends and family that need a DJ for an event! Our Wedding Day was PERFECT, and he played a big part in it... So, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU DJ MOJOE!

Okay, I will be honest, my husband took the reigns in terms of finding a DJ - and boy did he deliver. DJ Mojoe is CRITICAL if you want your wedding to run smoothly, professionally, and especially if you want your wedding to be the most fun night of your life (and your guests lives for that matter). DJ Mojoe is a professional in every sense of the word. He is incredibly thorough regarding your vision during every step of the planning process from ceremony to grand exit. He scheduled zoom calls leading up to the wedding, and gave us access to this incredible interactive app, as well as checked in with us during our engagement to answer any questions. His preparation on the front-end made the wedding itself seamless (and a party!). From the moment the dance floor opened to the last dance, our dance floor was packed and lively. Joe had ample equipment for the entire day to make the transitions from ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and grand exit while videoing the entire day. He stayed until 3am helping my family take down the venue and had a video of our wedding posted to his social media by 10 the next morning. Many of our guests said that our wedding was the best one they had ever been too especially because of our fantastic DJ - and they're right, Joe is the best. He was extremely prepared and did not leave a single detail out when preparing for our big day. He played the perfect mixes of music when guests were arriving, during cocktail hour and dinner. He was great as an MC as well. Leading up to our wedding, we were nervous our guests wouldn’t dance much, but with DJ MOJOE, our dance floor was never empty and was so fun all night long. If you are booking a wedding, or any party for that matter, I highly recommend Joe! We are so happy we did!

BOOK DJ MOJOE! Joe is not only an amazing DJ/MC, he's a wonderful human being. Extremely professional, organized, communicative and helpful. We had plenty of opportunities to speak, video chat and he was very responsive through emails. He makes the process so easy and breaks it down for you so you don't have to worry. Joe DELIVERED day-of and was absolutely phenomenal. Music selection was perfect and top-notch, and song transitions were seamless. We booked DJ Mojoe for a wedding in January 2019, with about 170 guests. From the very beginning, Joe was a pleasure to work with! Joe was open to phone calls, e-mails, and text messages to figure out all the logistics needed to be discussed – and let us tell you, it was the easiest decision we made. After booking, Joe had us complete a very easy (yet detailed) questionnaire online to really find the perfect fit of music for our wedding. After completing it, we discussed some more and BAM everything was set. At our wedding, Joe served as the master of ceremonies, and made sure everything went according to plan. From the ceremony itself, to the cocktail hour, to the reception – Joe was there creating the best and most relaxed environment we could ask for. Then, came the party! Joe stayed right on pace, reading our crowd perfectly, and playing each song deliberately – all while keeping the crowd pumped up and moving! It was truly an event we will never forget – and a big part of it turning out the way it did, was DJ Mojoe. Thank you, Joe. DJ MOJOE was in one word AMAZING! From start to finish, he made our experience stress free and fun! WOW, was it fun! He made sure to get to know us as a couple, how we met, what type of music we enjoyed and what we thought our guests would enjoy. He did a fantastic job mixing our eclectic taste - top 40, the decades, funky/disco sounds, latin music. That's a mix, right? You really will not regret the decision to go with DJ MOJOE - we got married 1/4/19 and family/friends still talk about how great the DJ was! Wish we could do it all over again!

DJ MOJOE - Joe Rivera did an absolute amazing job at our wedding. He supplied the ceremony music for our outdoor ceremony and had a separate indoor area (small and classy) for our indoor reception. We could not be happier with his ability to capture the crowd and what music they are feeling all with including our style and song preferences (if you choose to provide them). His online portal system is seem-less and makes it an absolute breeze to navigate through what song choices you'd like for what, or even what you would like to exclude. So many of our guests complimented us and him on how well of a job he did. Lastly we chose to bring in uplighting for our indoor reception space and it was magical.

My wife and I got married on 2/8/19 and we had DJ Mojoe do our wedding. He's super sweet and truly knows how to read a crowd. The dance floor at our reception was packed the entire night. One thing I loved about choosing DJ Mojoe is his checklist he has his clients fill out before their event. We were able to submit spotify playlists, choose which songs to play at which times, and submit other timeline information all in one spot so everything was laid out perfectly when it came to the day of our wedding. He's also a great MC who led some wedding games we had, introduced speeches and dances, and overall just created an awesome energy for our guests. I 100% would recommend DJ Mojoe.

DJ MoJoe did an extremely awesome job at our wedding. He ran everything perfectly and was able to put together everything we were hoping for. He even went above and beyond with working with us on our weird requests for random song changes in introductions, cake cutting and bouquet/garter tosses. You should work with people you like. We really liked DJ MoJoe. He was always calm and humble, but had a lot of energy and kept things fun. Not only is he a great DJ, but a really awesome person. I’ll break it down on how he was an amazing DJ for our wedding: Pre-event: Ok, so before we hired DJ MoJoe, we talked to him over the phone. It was a great conversation as he told us his philosophy on his services, which is to make sure everyone is having fun. Also, there was no pressure. We even mentioned how we spoke with this other DJ, and Joe was complimentary of the other DJ even though he knew that he was competing with him for our services. That truly shows his character. After the phone call, we scheduled an in-person meeting, and he was just as nice and humble as he was during the phone call. Before the event, we had another consultation to go over the details of what was to come which was also so helpful. Organization: If you want a well-organized DJ that takes off the stress from wedding planning, hire DJ MoJoe. My wife and I were so impressed with his electronic scheduler, electronic playlist and event timeline creator and just all the technology that he used to make sure he had all the details from the songs we like to the reception schedule to how to pronounce everyone’s name. And if we ever wanted to speak with him, we could always call him or schedule a time to speak through his electronic scheduler. Equipment: You can really tell, he uses the best equipment. The sound equipment was of great quality. One thing my wife and I were debating about was uplighting. Our venue did it and so did Joe. We went with Joe and glad we did. He was able to change it to match the mood, which really made the party fun. Also, he had access to the TVs around the reception area and played various clips of videos which also added to the atmosphere. Actual Event: My family and friends love to party, and with DJ MoJoe, that is what we did. Not only was he an amazing DJ that played all the music we love (which is pretty diverse), but his MC skills really helped make the event go smoothly and kept everyone energized. The floor always had people dancing and he just really seemed to know what music to play at what time. We had a money dance and he helped time each dance with each person, which was very helpful. Also, we appreciated the small details like him getting to know the other vendors, which added to the harmony of the event and matching his outfit with the theme of our wedding. So many of our guests complimented how much fun they had and specifically mentioned DJ MoJoe. Do yourself a favor and make your party a great one with DJ MoJoe.

Joe was amazing at our wedding that just happened on May 26, 2018. He was referred to us through my sister-in-law who worked for PawWorks and he has DJ'd their gala fundraising events on multiple occasions and she said she wished she had hired him for her wedding because everyone at their events always has a great time with and the energy is high. Our venue we had our wedding at had a preferred DJ list and if we got someone else to DJ outside of their preferred list we had to pay an extra fee. So before we met with Joe we had received quotes from the other DJs, and their prices were super outrageous and overpriced for what they were providing, and I wasn't really impressed with the DJs on the list. We met with Joe soon after before we decided to book him and we instantly knew we wanted to book with him. Joe's quote for his DJ and MC services were reasonable in comparison to all the other DJ's we had contacted and we had heard so many good things about him already, so I think it was truly was meant to be! (We even paid for outside vendor fee, but it was all worth it) When the wedding got closer, I was super stressed out and basically gave him my playlist very last minute through Spotify, and also gave him all of our songs for the dances (First Dance, Mother/Son, Father/Daughter), processional, recessional, walk down the aisle. He was super easy to talk to and we also told him the general idea of what kind of music to play besides the songs on the Spotify playlist we made. I had no idea what songs to play during our cake cutting, bouquet toss, and garter toss since my wedding planner indicated on our timeline that we needed song choices, so we left those up to Joe to have creative freedom and choose them and he picked out some great songs that I would've never thought of to play. I sent him two songs that weren't on spotify that I wanted to play during the processional and me walking down the aisle. He met with us on our final walkthrough of the venue, along with my wedding planner a few weeks before the wedding to see the setup of the venue, and where he could set up his DJ equipment, and where deliveries would be. During the wedding before the grand entrance, he came around to the wedding party and wanted to double check and make sure he was saying everyone's name correctly (we just had him say first names as it's easier than saying everyone's last name) - and made sure he was saying my husband and I's name correctly as well. The grand entrance was perfect, and he had every one of our guests spinning around their napkins during our grand entrance, which was a nice touch! Everything went so smoothly at the wedding and Joe was just wonderful. I had told him prior went to end the mother/son dance and my first dance songs to fade out since we weren't doing the whole track, and for the father/daughter dance everyone came and joined in on the dance floor because we did a fun dance! The energy on the dance floor was amazing, and we even had a conga line start. Everyone kept on telling us how great of a time they had, and they really loved the DJ! I would highly recommend Joe for your next event!

We were so lucky to have DJ MoJoe run the show at our Indian/Filipino/Salvadorean/New Orleanian wedding! We booked him for the whole day, from the ceremony in the morning until after 2am on New Years’ Eve. Firstly, right from the beginning, Joe impressed us with his professionalism. He has a great business model, has an excellent website, is so responsive with emails, and even had an online site through which we could customize our desired song list! Closer to the day of, we met up with Joe to discuss ceremony logistics, his DJ and lighting set-up and it was such a pleasure to work with him. It felt more like just hanging out, and we knew right then that we would be in good hands. While my family was concerned initially that he had not DJ-ed many Indian weddings, our priest actually complimented him after the Hindu ceremony and said he was the best DJ that he had worked with! He had jazzy standards playing during cocktail hour, and worked with us on some very last minute schedule changes. Because of his flexibility we were able to throw a pre-dinner dance party that was actually the hit of the whole reception. Our dance floor was packed before we had even made the grand entrance! He was a wonderful MC during the reception events, keeping things running smoothly. For the dance music he was able to play so many Bollywood songs and seamlessly integrated them into a truly multicultural playlist that reflected our Indian, Filipino, Latino crowd and pleased our guests that had come from all over the U.S. and even from out of the country! He handled the New Years’ countdown like a boss -- he had a special countdown all ready, so nobody missed out when the clock hit midnight. And unbelievingly, the party just kept on going. We truly feel that it was all thanks to his energy and enthusiasm, and we had many guests express the same. He made fans of all 450 of us by the end. We’d recommend him for any wedding, Indian or otherwise! Thank you so, so much DJ MoJoe!!

DJ Mojoe is awesome! He took the time to meet us the day before the wedding at our hotel to go over the slideshow music in person and every other detail. We found him on Thumbtack and he also provided the uplighting for our reception. His client portal is pretty outstanding and he's up to date with Spotify so he can find all the songs that you want played at your wedding. He worked well with our coordinator and my husband really liked how he felt the crowd and played the fav part of this Apache song on a loop for more dance time. He also played my fav K-pop music and I'm glad we took YMCA off the banned list because it was a big hit. DJ Mojoe only plays clean songs and is a great entertainer. He's easy to work with and I would highly recommend him. My guests and husband commented how he really loves his job and it shows - super high energy and he listens well. Hire him while he's available - I would check well in advance.
