NEAL IS AWESOME!! He is very patient and detail-oriented. Starting from the meetings before the wedding, he took detailed notes of what we wanted and remembered them. He is the 1st to arrive at the venue. 1 hour before the setup time began. 4 hours before the wedding's official start time. He is very kind and was the last to leave the venue. He was so busy that he could not even eat his dinner. His DJ skill is super great! He is able to get the vibe from the environment and choose the right music to play to entertain the guests! It would definitely be a pity if I didn't hire him as the DJ!! He did a GREAT job!!

Neal was the kind of DJ we always wanted. He was quick to get back to us and answered all our questions thoroughly. As people who aren't really event planners, Neal's advice and guidance was invaluable. He spoke with us to figure out what we needed regarding both sound and lighting, and didn't pressure us in any way. He's very accommodating regarding the sources of your music/sound. He's easy-going and working with him is as simple as giving him a general idea of what you're looking for, or (as in our case) catering the music choices to fit with your music. Our family and friends were stunned with his DJing. As soon as we finished our scheduled dances (first dance, mother/son, etc.) the crowd hit the dancefloor and it wasn't clear until the place shut down - the truest sign of a great wedding one could ask for! An important note: we made it clear in our first call with him that this was an LGBTQ wedding (we didn't want someone who wasn't interested in working a wedding of two guys) and Neal made it clear he was excited to work with us, and had worked with other LGBTQ couples in the area. Another thing I want to mention about my appreciation: he helped coordinate a surprise for my husband - I had secretly learned to play ukulele, and surprised him with a song following the toasts - went off without a hitch (nerves don't count), and two months later we can't stop saying how it was the best day of our lives. Thank you Neal!

Neal did our wedding in April. He did fantastic and had a great set up! Kept communication open through out the wedding planning process and budget friendly. Kept everyone interested on the dance floor for hours! Even our wedding coordinators got up and danced! Definitely recommend!

Well, we were in the process of booking - consistent communication, quote was provided, phone call and texts - and then we were ghosted. Very disappointing because we were truly looking forward to working with Neal.

Neal was the DJ for our 50th anniversary party and did an excellent job! We started with a happy hour in our backyard and then dinner in a tent in the front. He volunteered to set up in two different places and provide microphones and emcee services keeping us on track. He is very easy to work with and I recommend him highly as a DJ.

He was also incredibly professional and easy to work with. He communicated with me for months before my wedding to make sure everything I had was correct and to my liking. He was a super great guy and super nice! The day of the wedding, He arrived early to set up and make sure everything was in order, and they were attentive to my needs and preferences throughout the evening. He was able to read the crowd and adjust the music accordingly, which made the entire experience enjoyable for everyone. DJ Neal was so easy to work with! We hired him to DJ our wedding reception and I'd recommend him in a heartbeat. He was quick to respond, and easy to work with. We got married back in April. Six months before the wedding, we started looking at Vendors on TheKnot. Neal was the only DJ we even contacted. He was so highly decorated, and his rates were so reasonable that we didn’t even feel the need to shop around. When we spoke on the phone, we knew he was the right one from the start. There were so many embarrassing issues leading up to the wedding. Neal’s e-mails got sent to our spam box before we had paid our deposit, and we didn’t discover it until weeks later. Despite this, Neal had already locked us in for our wedding date, despite being justified in keeping that day open for other customers. Additionally, because our wedding was outdoors and under a tent in our own backyard, the venue could have presented a lot of issues. There was a great deal of uncertainty with our lighting needs. Neal answered all of our questions and worked with us all the way until we settled on our final lighting package mere days before the wedding. He even worked with us to do a choreographed light show with our own smart lighting system for our first dance. Neal is a singular talent. We are so grateful for his endless flexibility, joyful disposition, boundless patience, and gentle, guiding hand as he helped us through our wedding day. We still talk about his lightning-fast reflexes as he ran at Olympic speeds across our backyard to reset the power breaker after the smoke machine had tripped it. But the thing we continue to be completely astonished by is that, on a day that took an entire village to get even simple tasks done, Neal managed to set up an entire infrastructure, operate as a master of ceremonies, and tear everything down and pack it away — all completely by himself. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a professional operate so independently and yet so efficiently. Over 6 months later, I am still astounded by how hard and long Neal worked on the day of our wedding. He’s absolutely incredible. We will recommend him to anyone and everyone who needs a DJ.

He was flexible about time and did not charge extra to set up two sets up speakers at the venue (upstairs for dinner and downstairs for dancing). Neal was our DJ for our July 2018 wedding in Alexandria. He was outstanding, and I would recommend him highly to anyone looking for a wedding DJ. My mother's 75th birthday was quickly approaching and I wanted to do something special, especially since her 50th wedding anniversary would have taken place this year had my father won his battle with congestive heart failure. She had spent so much time taking care of him, I wanted to do something special. She had always loved 50's music and dancing to the Twist. Having never planned a large party, I had no idea where to start but Neal Keller (aka The Angel) had spun at various dance nights I attended in DC as well as spun at a much smaller party I had that was only 80's music. Could he pull of a 50's Sock Hop? And would he be willing to travel from DC to NC? Not only did he pull it off, my mother's friends and relatives were so impressed, they keep asking my Mom 'when's the next party?' They want it to be a regular thing. Neal brought all of his own equipment, set it up, tested it and keep the party going for hours. He is a fantastic MC and even helped put together a video that was displayed for all to see. I've never seen my mother so happy. Nor did I have any idea she would dance ALL NIGHT! If you want THE BEST and nothing less will do, DJ Neal is your DJ!

I hired Neal to be the DJ at my wedding in 2015 and I couldn't be happier with the service he delivered! First of all, Neal is very organized. Before my wedding day, he checked the venue for the best way to get his equipment into the building and what was the earliest time he would be able to set up. That attention to detail is so important to ensure a successful event. Secondly, Neal is very entertaining. He played the role of MC for my wedding perfectly. He got all of the announcements right and kept the wedding moving at a good pace. And most importantly, Neal did an awesome job with the music and lights. We received a lot of compliments on his mixes, as his library definitely has something for every crowd. The moving lights that he used really helped set the atmosphere and got people dancing. I had been going to Neal's DJ events for years so when it was time to plan my wedding, finding the right DJ was a no-brainer. Neal's rate is very reasonable and is a great bang for the buck. He has extensive music knowledge, will understand your music style and preference, and will deliver what you need. He also is a great MC and can customize his style to fit your needs.
