I can offer event related services for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception - sound systems, lighting, video screens/projection, photo booth, and support for live musicians. I do lots of formal wedding, and casual weddings too. I'm also a top choice when it comes to specialty or theme related events. Themes I've done included Top 40, Hip Hop, 80's, 90's, Disco, Big Band, headbanger, Star Wars, sock hop, Persian and brunch weddings. I spin all genres, including the latest hits. I'm an experienced DJ and have been spinning at events for over 25 yrs. In addition, I've participated as talent, as well as tech and presentation, in music related events all around the region for three decades. I was one of the founders of DC's longest running retro party, 80's Dance Party, which started in Adams Morgan back in 1993. I branched out into doing weddings in the 00's, and it has been great! I love playing weddings and sharing in the joy of the happy couple and their families! I can work with you on developing a set from your specific song list. I'm also great with improvising!

he entire planning process. Our venue had the ceremony site, cocktail hour, and reception all in three separate areas, and DJ Neal was more than accommodating with his setup. Everything transitioned seamlessly and without any stress for us.
He truly went above and beyond with the lighting setup as well. It completely transformed the space and looked incredible—it added so much to the overall atmosphere of the reception and the pricing was very inexpensive. Compared to other DJs we considered, his package options were incredibly well-priced for the level of service and quality he delivered.

idance was invaluable. He spoke with us to figure out what we needed regarding both sound and lighting, and didn't pressure us in any way. He's very accommodating regarding the sources of your music/sound. He's easy-going and working with him is as simple as giving him a general idea of what you're looking for, or (as in our case) catering the music choices to fit with your music.
Our family and friends were stunned with his DJing. As soon as we finished our scheduled dances (first dance, mother/son, etc.) the crowd hit the dancefloor and it wasn't clear until the place shut down - the truest sign of a great wedding one could ask for!
An important note: we made it clear in our first call with him that this was an LGBTQ wedding (we didn't want someone who wasn't interested in working a wedding of two guys) and Neal made it clear he was excited to work with us, and had worked with other LGBTQ couples in the area.
Another thing I want to mention about my appreciation: he helped coordinate a surprise for my husband - I had secretly learned to play ukulele, and surprised him with a song following the toasts - went off without a hitch (nerves don't count), and two months later we can't stop saying how it was the best day of our lives. Thank you Neal!

very busy schedule of events. I let it slip. I should have been more proactive in keeping you informed, I guess in my mind I was thinking I had more time (we were still about 11 months out) or that I wasn't as far behind as I actually was. I handle a lot of bookings every year (pretty much every weekend), I strive to keep things properly organized, and I haven't had any others where this has happened. I figured I would be able to (hopefully) resolve the conflicts and come to you with the good news that I would be available. It was really when I looked at the dates of correspondences that I had to realize that it was probably too late to fix the situation. So I apologize, I'm very sorry I left you both hanging. You're a lovely couple, I enjoyed our conversation, and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to pitch my services to you.
