We got the deluxe package which includes everything you need! The most important part was the music and he truly knocked it out of the park. He incorporated all the genres and songs we asked for while adding in songs that fit the vibe perfectly. He was able to create the perfect multicultural medley that fit us perfectly as a couple. It ranged from 2000s hits to cumbias to Marco Antonio Solís to Taylor Swift which may seem like a huge range but he did it all so seamlessly that everyone was having the best time. He did such a great job of keeping us on track that night and followed the timeline we gave him to a T! He also offers so many fun and cool add-ons. We got the Photo Booth add-on which our guests loved as they got to take something home with them. We also had a robot (who dressed up as a gorilla for a bit) and this was the highlight of the night!!! Seriously our guests have not stopped talking about it because it was so memorable and different :) He made everything so easy and seamless so that you just show up on wedding day and have fun! He also put together a picture slideshow of my husband and I which was such a sweet touch. His lighting set-up was amazing and worked perfectly with our venue. I honestly wish we would’ve gotten more add-ons so do it for yours because you won’t regret it! Cut to 2025, and that’s exactly what we did. We’re based in NYC and flew Jesse in from Chicago because we knew how important it was to have someone who could truly bridge both of our cultures on the dance floor, and wow, did he deliver. The energy was unreal. The dance floor never let up -- both families came in and out all night, and most of the time we were all dancing together. It was incredible how effortlessly Jesse moved between English and Spanish. It made both of our families feel included and celebrated, and we heard nonstop praise from everyone (on both sides) about how incredible he was. People were in awe of the setlist, the transitions, the vibe. We brought him to our after-party where we really let the dance floor loose. He's such a smart DJ-- not just pressing play on a playlist. He understands the musicality, the beats, and how to layer songs together; it was seriously so fun. On top of all that, Jesse is just great to work with- kind, responsive, professional, and fairly priced. He truly gets it, and hiring him was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

If you’re unsure where to even begin, it also provides you music suggestions that are popular with weddings. There was a great online system that he offered which allowed you to categorize your songs into three categories, “must play,” “play if possible,” and “do not play”. Once we went through and made our selections, he took the time to review the lists with us and make sure we had a good variety that would hit every demographic at our wedding. He was clear and concise on the microphone when making announcements and worked well with our other vendors to stay on our timeline. He mashed up songs and provided great transitions so there was no down time between songs. At times the transition to the next song was a bit faster than we would have preferred but we were always impressed by the next song he chose and still kept the crowd on the dancefloor. We would recommend his services to anyone looking!

It was so easy to work with Jesse from beginning to very end. Very helpful and honest. We had a 250 guest count with a very diverse crowd. We didn’t chose a playlist instead we asked Jesse to take in account the diversity and to mix it up however he saw fit. Jesse understood the assignment because as soon as it was his turn to take over the music, he got our crowd going up until the very last dance! Not a single person was sitting. He even accommodated us with other unrelated things even though he did not have an obligation to. My only regret is not having more time allotted for the DJ portion as the crowd could not get enough. DJ PERSIST MADE OUR WEDDING a successful FUN event and we cannot thank him enough! Our guests were still raving about the DJ two days later. BOOK BOOK BOOK!

I said that was fine. As the bride, if I want a song, I expect the Dj to play it without any negotiation. There was also a drunk guy requesting to sing to us but was making insane demands. We sided with the Dj and tried to deescalate the situation but Persist was ready to fight. Which didn’t help. Overall, I think he’s worth every penny.
