We hired Jesse for our wedding knowing that we needed a professional that could cater to the varying musical tastes of all of our guests and he did that flawlessly. If you’re considering booking DJ Persist – DO IT! Best decision ever. He had our dance floor packed all night long! Our wedding was a mix of English speakers and Spanish speakers so we were nervous how we would execute a smooth and fun night for all and DJ Persist did it with ease! He did all announcements in both English and Spanish, knew the right music to play for all to enjoy and have a great evening. Besides his excellent DJ and MC skills, he also was extremely professional and patient with us the entire process. He has a really nice software for you to use while planning your timeline and music selections. If you’re unsure where to even begin, it also provides you music suggestions that are popular with weddings. We also utilized some of his upgrades (cold sparklers, uplighting, and upgraded dance floor lightings) and those truly took our night up a notch! We can’t recommend him enough!!!!

DJ Persist was great! He was clear about communicating the services he provides and was able to provide guidance on which add-ons would best fit the vibe we wanted for our wedding along with what would work best with the venue. He helped us edit our first dance songs to give us smoother transitions and time out the songs to be similar lengths. There was a great online system that he offered which allowed you to categorize your songs into three categories, “must play,” “play if possible,” and “do not play”. Once we went through and made our selections, he took the time to review the lists with us and make sure we had a good variety that would hit every demographic at our wedding. He was clear and concise on the microphone when making announcements and worked well with our other vendors to stay on our timeline. He mashed up songs and provided great transitions so there was no down time between songs. At times the transition to the next song was a bit faster than we would have preferred but we were always impressed by the next song he chose and still kept the crowd on the dancefloor. We would recommend his services to anyone looking!

It was so easy to work with Jesse from beginning to very end. Very helpful and honest. We had a 250 guest count with a very diverse crowd. We didn’t chose a playlist instead we asked Jesse to take in account the diversity and to mix it up however he saw fit. Jesse understood the assignment because as soon as it was his turn to take over the music, he got our crowd going up until the very last dance! Not a single person was sitting. He even accommodated us with other unrelated things even though he did not have an obligation to. My only regret is not having more time allotted for the DJ portion as the crowd could not get enough. DJ PERSIST MADE OUR WEDDING a successful FUN event and we cannot thank him enough! Our guests were still raving about the DJ two days later. BOOK BOOK BOOK!

We could not have had a better DJ for our wedding than Jesse. Jesse was great! He has great communication and kept us informed the whole way through. He has a portal to plug in a timeline and song requests that is extremely thorough and helped us plan the day of the wedding down to the minute. His portal is very user friendly and was the key to helping Wedding day go smoothly. Jesse was also great the day of. He showed up on time and with his assistant as we had a roaming photo booth which was a huge hit with our guests. The had their photos sent right to their phone and the photo machine also created awesome GIFs. Jesse did a great job reading the room and kept the dance floor jumping! Working with DJ Persist was a great experience. When meeting him for the first time, he had a majority of his equipment visible to let potential clients know how to enhance their wedding. Once the date and pricing were set, we had a few virtual meetings to discuss further details. Online forms were provided to be specific about announcements, music cues and do/do not play lists. All of these were helpful in making the wedding flow more smoothly. Although our exact first dance song and a few song sets discussed prior were not played, the entire wedding as a whole was incredibly fun and forever memorable.

DJ Persist did an awesome job for our wedding. Everything was seamless, from the introductions during dinner, to the music he played on the dance floor. We gave him our list of suggested songs and he ran with it from there, he did a great job reading the room and keeping everyone on the dance floor. On top of that, the photo booth was a big hit, glad we added it. He was also very professional to work with, having several zoom calls before hand to confirm all of our details. This review is way overdue. DJ Persist did my wedding last year at the Garfield Park Conservatory. He is very professional, polite and organized. He helped us get things back on track when we were delayed. Most importantly, the music was spot on and my husband still talks about how good the music was. I just recently spoke to a friend who attended and she was very surprised to see so many people dancing at my wedding. Thanks again for for all of the great memories and getting people out on the dance floor.

Dj Persist, was very professional and had great tools to make sure we got the songs we wanted. He made sure everything was on time and went well. The Hora Loka was fun! However my mother requested an oldie song and he said no. I had to go up there and ask him myself. He tried to tell me he would have to completely change the genera for the next hour in order to play it. I said that was fine. As the bride, if I want a song, I expect the Dj to play it without any negotiation. There was also a drunk guy requesting to sing to us but was making insane demands. We sided with the Dj and tried to deescalate the situation but Persist was ready to fight. Which didn’t help. Overall, I think he’s worth every penny. If you are looking for a PROFESSIONAL dj for your party, he’s your guy.

DJ Persist is your go to DJ. He is so organized and listens to your wants and needs. It was important to my husband and I to find a bilingual DJ and was familiar with the traditional Latino dances. The day of the wedding, he made sure that we followed our timeline and everything ran smoothly because of him. Not only that but he played all the hits. Jesse is a PHENOMENAL DJ! He played at our wedding yesterday (8/26) and he was amazing! He had all of our guest on the dance floor it was such a good time! Mixed ALL the genres we picked to perfection. He is very professional and very pleasant to work with. Music is the biggest party of any big party and he did not disappoint! DJpersist (Jesse) is hands down the best DJ to have at your special event. My wedding was 07/02 and from our first FaceTime meeting prior to booking I already knew this was the vendor I needed to have. Jesse was so professional and pleasant, he also managed our timeline for the reception event he made sure that we stuck to the timeline that we agreed on he helped us tremendously with that aspect. Coming from a Mexican and Ecuadorian family he was able to mix all music where everyone had an awesome time and was dancing the whole night. Do not double think definitely book with DJ persist! The LED Robot had everyone on their feet we have family still talking about our special day and how the music & robot completed our night!

We hired DJ Persist for our wedding in December of 2021. He was great to work with, we used an online planning form to organize the details of the evening and it was so easy. What an amazing and professional DJ! Jesse acted not only as our DJ but as a coordinator as well. He ensured we were on schedule throughout the entire ceremony and reception. Music was on point throughout the entire night....one of my bridesmaids even came up to me during the wedding and said this music is all you! He was able to catch our taste in music perfectly and our guests loved it! Due to covid, we were able to meet virtually about a week before our wedding to go over music and timeline. His online system is easy to navigate and features "top _____" to help with ideas to pick the right song for garter/bouquet toss, first dances, etc. Very helpful! And my absolute favorite thing about him is he ended our night in the best way possible! He played our last song of the night as expected but then he played 2 other songs that are close to both of us but aren't necessarily dancing type songs...BUT, he did it and the floor was packed for both of these. I don't even know where to begin because I have so many amazing things to say about Jesse! We (very naively) waited until about 4 months before our wedding to even start looking for a DJ for our ceremony and reception. I found Jesse through my online searches and saw how many great reviews he had and I knew we had to book him. Unfortunately, his website said that he was booked through 2021. I reached out anyways and I am so glad I did because he had our date available! Jesse was extremely helpful and reliable throughout the entire planning process. Our venue requested that all DJs do a venue tour prior to the event day and Jesse had absolutely no problems choosing a day and making the drive out to do so. The online planning tool that Jesse uses is super simple and user friendly. About a week before the wedding we had a final meeting that helped me feel completely at ease and confident that the music on our big day would be perfect. At this meeting, Jesse suggested adding an anniversary dance and I could not be happier he did - it was so fun to see all of the couples at our wedding dance and we got so many amazing pictures from this moment! Jesse executed the day flawlessly. He kept our timeline on point. I am naturally a micromanager, but I had so much trust in Jesse that I never once looked at a clock to make sure that we were on schedule because I knew Jesse had it. Our wedding was mixed - my family being white and my husband’s hispanic - and I can honestly say that there was music for absolutely everyone throughout the night. We had the perfect balance of oldies, hip hop, 90’s rock, 00’s pop, bachata, salsa, slow dances, line dances and more. Jesse read the crowd perfectly and the dance floor was literally never empty. I may be biased, but thanks to Jesse I can honestly say our wedding was the most fun I have ever attended. I will recommend Jesse time and time again to anyone looking for a DJ and hope that we have events in the future that give us the opportunity to book him again. We booked DJ Persist for our wedding in October. In our initial conversation with Jesse me and my then fiancé had one goal in mind and it was to keep our guest and ourselves on the dance floor. DJ Persist did not disappoint, he understood the assignment! We had an amazing time, had so much fun and he got our vibe to the tee. We stayed on the dance floor all night. We had dj persist DJ our wedding in September. He helped manage our timeline so we could enjoy the day. During the reception, everyone danced the Entire time and he kept the party live with a good music mix with matching music videos. The slide show with music was also a good touch. Highly recommend!

DJ Persist was truly amazing!!! I’ve been eyeing DJ Persist for many years because his music always has me on the dancefloor, and I never want to leave. I had always known I’d want him as a DJ at my future wedding and he was actually the first vendor we booked. Thinking back now, little did I know that having Jesse as a DJ at my wedding would mean the whole package, not just bangin’ music. Leading up to our wedding day, Jesse was prompt, organized, and intentional behind all aspects of our wedding reception timeline. He has systems in place that made it easy for us to think through what music/genres we wanted (and what we didn’t want). He was quickly able to grasp the vibe we wanted our guests to feel during our cocktail hour, dinner, and dancefloor, and was able to make our vision a reality. After our wedding, our guests have told us that our reception timeline ran so smoothly, and Jesse played a huge role in making that happen. There was even a moment where I wasn’t sure if we were on time, and he quickly put on his “counselor” hat and reassured me we were right where we needed to be with a smile. Jesse is not a just a DJ who plays music. He does everything in his power to hype up the crowd by being a great MC, which allows you, as a couple, to take a step back and let him take care of everyone having a good time. He’s seriously a jack of all trades with so many add-ons on top of his DJ services. We are so grateful he was a part of making our wedding day so special. Thank you, Jesse! Jesse was absolutely phenomenal!! The best DJ in the world! He was the key piece in our magical wedding day and handled everything flawlessly. Last minute changes were executed perfectly and even prior to our event he was always on top of everything. Very responsive and so helpful in every part of the planning process. He handled our multicultural crowd and all the different music genres effortlessly. It’s like he knew exactly what we all wanted to hear. Everything flowed so well and the dance floor was never empty. We can not say enough good things about Jesse! He made our dream wedding come true and it was truly the best day of our lives!!!
