m day one, Pete was on top of everything - planning out all the details for sound for our ceremony, reception, and after-dinner dancing. Our wedding was at a non-traditional venue, where power sources were few and far between. DJ Pete had technical solutions for all the different spaces, and everything went flawlessly. The sound for the ceremony was loud and crystal clear, and he set up mics for a guitarist and a singer. He even recorded sound for the ceremony, and sent us an audio file after our wedding - the recording is captured beautifully, and we are so grateful for having it. On top of the ceremony, DJ Pete set up live sound for a contradance band, including a keyboard player, fiddler, mandolin player, and vocalist. He also provided lighting for the dancing, and made the space fun and eventful. For a one-man operation, DJ Pete truly did the job of five or six people. On top of that, he is incredibly kind and easy to work with. He helped us put together a playlist for dancing, and took all the requests we wanted. After the contradance, DJ Pete kept the party going and everyone had an amazing time. He is truly the best. THANK YOU, DJ PETE!

He is entirely in the background, allowing the joy of the day to take center stage, all the while pulling all the levers and doing a massive amount of attentive, personalized work to make sure that your long-considered visions spring to life. For us, he went so far as to manually calibrate the color temperature of the uplighting to match the hue of the candlelight at dinner. He accommodated every single request we made and, most importantly, chose a dance playlist that had almost all guests dancing like jovial lunatics all night. We could not possibly imagine our wedding without him, so we hope you hire him and see for yourself!

Pete made essential announcements throughout the night, like our wedding party/bride/groom introductions, and he also made other announcements, like when our trolley was leaving and when the late-night snacks were coming out. Not only did Pete emcee and provide great music throughout the night, but he also provided lights for our reception room and a microphone/speakers for our ceremony. After our wedding, Pete provided us with a recording of our ceremony, which we didn't think we wanted at the time, but I think it'll be great to listen to years later. ause he was friendly, accommodating, and told us that getting people up to dance was his specialty! One of my husband's main priorities for the wedding was dancing, so this hooked us immediately. He offers recordings of the ceremony, as well as the toast speeches. In addition, he provides uplighting for the dance floor and during the reception. I recommend this service because his lighting makes the dance space look inviting and fun. I cannot speak enough to Pete's responsiveness and attentiveness. He edited our first dance song and was able to cut it to our desired length within 2 days of my email request. He helped us create a timeline for the day's events and discussed in detail the way he would make announcements, and say our names and the names of our family members. In the week leading up to our wedding, I emailed and texted him with several updates and announcements I wanted him to make. He took note of each and made every announcement as we requested. The day of the wedding was a blast. The ceremony music was well timed, our entrances were fun, our first dance went seamlessly, and everyone hit the dance floor! Our guests loved DJ Pete, and his music was perfectly tailored to our crowd and our tastes, based on the form we provided him. There was overall a good mix of music that everyone enjoyed. He set up and took down all of his own equipment. Pete was a pleasure to work with. Professional, friendly, and great at what he does.

He came with a glowing recommendation from my sister (whose an event planner) because of how well he listens and caters to what the clients want and also how early and prepared he arrives to every single event. He was so communicative beforehand and has a form that you fill out that really helps him get a feel for you and what you like and did awesome building a playlist off that for the whole night. And if you're booking with Pete, get the extra lighting package!! I had no idea how much lighting could change a space until I saw it. He literally created a backlight color for the whole room based off our decor and it just tied the whole space together in the most amazing way. And once dancing began, the light effects definitely help get the party going. Pete added such a sweet, calm, but also upbeat vibe to our day and did so well to keep things moving smoothly throughout the night and getting people on the dancefloor and keeping me and my husband happy and having the night of our lives!! We are both fairly low-key people and wanted to create a fun atmosphere without leaning heavily on cheesy hits or overly hype-y music/commentary. DJ Pete nailed it. Everyone was dancing and the night felt like a real reflection of us. His supplementary lighting was also very cool, and the sound was crystal clear for the ceremony/toasts. Pete audio recorded the ceremony which is something we will always treasure. He added so many touches that really set the tone for the reception. Even during dinner, we heard so many songs we loved. When looking for a DJ I knew that I didn't want a DJ that would be annoying on the microphone throughout the reception but you do not need to worry about that with Pete. He lets his knowledge of music do all the work and he is very friendly and professional! He also set up speakers for our ceremony and the sound quality was excellent. Would definitely choose him again!
