DJ Phil Does It was HANDS DOWN the best wedding DJ we've ever had the pleasure of dancing to. From the early conversations in listening and noting the songs we wanted (and didn't want) to hear, to his professionalism throughout the event, to his uncanny ability to read the dance floor and throw songs in that we didn't even know we needed to hear, we just couldn't have been any happier with what he brought to our special day. We couldn't recommend Phil any more, and know that he will bring his magic to your event just as he did for ours.

I've known Phil for about 20 years, since he first started DJing parties in college. He's perfected his DJ skills over the years and I was stoked to have him DJ my wedding this past year. Phil completely tailors the tunes to suit your preferences. He's amazing at selecting music to get people on the dance floor, and he will surprise you with his brilliant mixes, like when he transitioned Ginuwine's "Pony" into Mary Lambert's "She Keeps Me Warm" at my gay millenial wedding. He's also got all the equipment and expertise to run sound for whatever you need, including karaoke! Plus he's just an all-around kind, generous, and fun person to work with.

Come for the vinyl bar, stay for the skill I had the pleasure of hiring Phil for my Dallas wedding , since my wife is into vinyl records and he offered a vinyl bar as an add on where your guests can peruse several boxes of vinyls that You've curated for the event. Phil is incredibly well versed, with vinyls covering music from reggaeton to 60s pop. He's also very professional, giving us well designed spreadsheets asking what music we'd like for each part of the ceremony, things to play and what not to play, and other special requests. All of this was nice, but wouldn't mean anything if he couldn't actually dj. I was actually a bit worried, given how mild mannered and quiet he is. Happily, I was proven very wrong. We had nothing but great music all night, excellent transitions, everyone was dancing all the way to the end. All for a very reasonable price. I cannot recommend Phil enough for any event you are planning, this guy can read a crowd and can mix music with the best of them.

Awesome DJ. We were on a budget wedding, so we couldn't utilize all he has to offer, but DJ Phil was perfect. He came on time, was ready when we were ready, and was very responsive on the chaos that was my wedding day. He had a wonderful, organized method for keeping track of all our music selections and played all of our must plays. He has a good skill for mixing and the songs flowed so well into each other. I couldn't be happier with our choice of DJ and will go directly back to him if we have need of a DJ again.

We hired DJPhil to DJ our wedding and it was awesome! He was super easy to communicate with during planning, and his work at the wedding was wonderful. Everyone loved the music and had a great time. I would highly recommend adding his vinyl bar option, it was a hit at our wedding!

Phil was amazing! We decided to reach out as he was recommended by a friend… and she could not have been any more accurate about how fantastic he is. We were the kind of couple that really thrived on chaos and not knowing what we were doing until it was happening. Phil was understanding and so quick to be able to fill in the blanks and wrangle our rowdy group when the time came. The direction we did give, he ran with and made it even cooler. He really cared to capture the moments we needed and made sure the dance floor kept flowing. If you are looking for a real, down to earth COOL DJ that will work with your ideas, listen to your needs and keep the night rolling with a full dance floor—Phil is the guy. PS. Thanks again Phil! Phil was amazing, and couldn't have been easier to work with! He was accommodating, did an incredible job mixing a wide variety of music, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the day we wanted! Not only did he monitor the Zoom recording of our wedding, but he was also able to incorporate some of my grandfathers old bluegrass recordings. We also loved being able to provide a vinyl bar for our guests to flip through, and got so many compliments on the audio quality (we have a few friends who work for ACL). Overall, we can't recommend him enough! I barely left the dance floor the whole night!

Phil is amazing. We chose Phil to DJ our wedding (October 2022). We were drawn to his skill as a vinyl DJ, and how receptive he was to our wishes (no typical wedding songs). We provided him with a playlist to build from for the party, and he absolutely crushed it. Everyone had a great time and had nothing but rave reviews of our reception and the playlist. 10/10 would recommend Phil for your next wedding, party, or any other excuse for an incredible DJ.

I can't recommend DJ Phil Does It highly enough! Instead of just churning out a predictable list of generic wedding hits, he played music that was completely tailored to our night. Phil really got to know our taste and did an incredible job mixing guests' requests with our must-play songs and his own selections. His music made the reception feel like somewhere you'd visit on purpose-- like a cool bar where you actively *want* to dance rather than a cheesy event where you're only Cha Cha Sliding because you have to. Another major plus: DJ Phil had a super streamlined and organized booking process. He liaised with our wedding planner to ensure the timeline was flawless, and he gave my husband and me an Excel document that made it easy to specify which songs to play during key moments. The spreadsheet also allowed us to indicate which bands and artists we liked from his record collection so he could bring our favorites with him. At the reception, he set them up in a "vinyl bar" where guests could look through his crates of albums and make requests. People had so much fun with it! The bottom line is that, although I'm usually the annoying music snob hogging the aux cord, I would relinquish musical control to DJ Phil Does It every time. You can trust him to curate the wedding soundtrack of your dreams!

Phil is the best, truly. I have never been to a wedding where someone understood the crowd as well as he did! And being a bride and groom who focus a lot on "vibe" and have a pretty curated taste in music- he really 'got it' and was extremely amenable to our requests (both the yes requests & the 'no's). All of this is to say: HIRE HIM!!!

Phil totally knocked it out of the park! Nearly all of our guests mentioned to us what a great job he did. As a former radio DJ, the music selections really meant a lot to me. In some instances I had a ton of input, in other instances I let Phil run with it. It all went together so seamlessly, I truly can't imagine a better experience.

I cannot say enough great things about DJ Phil. We had two members of our bridal party unable to attend the wedding because of covid and I did not find out until the day before my wedding, Phil had already pre-recorded our introduction for the reception and had it re-recorded and even edited so it sounded just right despite missing two people. He even edited my father-daughter dance song and was flexible with the mother-son song. I gave Phil the exact way I wanted everyone to walk in and even the exact timing of how we wanted to walk out on our exit song and he did an amazing job making all my crazy requests a reality.

DJ Phil was absolutely fantastic pre-wedding and during the ceremony and reception!! He had a fantastic way of organizing all the songs, must-play's, and specific songs for specific moments as well. On the day of, all the songs flowed perfectly, everyone danced, we even had karaoke which was a HUGE hit!! Thank you for personalizing and perfecting our wedding and making people say that our wedding was the best they've been to! :)

Booking the right DJ was one of the most important aspects of planning our wedding, as my (now) husband is a music lover with wide, eclectic tastes. When we stumbled across Phil’s page, we just knew he would be right for us- and he really was! Phil was incredibly communicative with us throughout the planning stages and was super adaptable and patient with all our needs, questions, and evolving plans. He even offers a vinyl bar which added a unique, fun, interactive component to our reception- it was a hit and our friends are STILL talking about it. Phil can read a room well and was able to provide a fun atmosphere that kept everyone dancing including our friends, co-workers, and even my elderly mother! If you’re looking for a DJ that can bring something unique to your wedding, look no further- we cannot recommend Phil enough.

Truly the icing on top of the wedding cake! DJ Phil was such amazing addition to our wedding and truly made the night as perfect as it was. Phil is very responsive and communicative when curating his music. I am not very good at expressing my ideas yet he knew exactly what I wanted. His set up was fast and visually appealing, looked great in all of our photos. Let me just tell you, he has the goods: records, mics, speakers. He has it all. He really individually tailored everything to our needs. I will always recommend Phil no matter the event you are hosting. He is the best!

DJ Phil Did It. Phil went above and beyond to seamlessly mix our personal music choices with songs that got our guests on the dance floor. He even mixed a special song for the father-daughter dance. We could truly not have asked for anything more from our DJ. Thanks, Phil!

We really enjoyed having DJ Phil at our event this summer. We had a consultation over the phone and described our style and some of the ideas we had. Planning was easy and worry free. At the reception we loved how it all came together. He captured our style and had the guests had a great time! Thank you Phil for being a part of our wedding!

Best DJ, Period. Phil was recommended to my husband and I through our wedding photographer. From our first meeting Phil came completely prepared with questions, and quoted us a very reasonable price. We had initially just hired Phil for our after party at a local dive bar, and a few weeks out from the wedding we hired him to run microphones for our ceremony. Phil did both jobs perfectly. Wedding planning is so stressful but hiring Phil made everything easy. Let's talk about his skills, Phil had us dancing all night, his transitions were seamless, all of our guests were blown away. Literally never a dull moment, Hire Phil, you wont be sorry.

Our wedding was everything we dreamed of but it wouldn’t have been the same without such an awesome DJ!! From the perfectly timed ceremony music all the way through to the dance floor that was rockin all night - he was excellent. Super easy to work with. Attentive to everything we wanted. Great playlist. Kept the party going all the way to last call. I had never hired. DJ before so I looked on Yelp for help. After speaking with several DJ’s I knew Phil was the way to go. He’s extremely professional and organized. He listened to our requests and styles and did an amazing job!! Everyone loved him! Thanks so much for helping make our event a huge success!!

THE! BEST! Let me state is again: DJ Phil is the best! I booked him to play my giant event, The ATX BaconFest, and he crushed it. Phil was so easy to work with. He was professional, responsive, punctual and amazing the entire event. I never once had to ask him to change a song or even adjust the volume. He knew exactly what would sound perfect in the space throughout the entire day and maybe great music that kept people happy the entire time. I would book Phil again anytime in a heartbeat and so should you. Book him right now, honestly, you'll be thrilled that you did.

Phil was totally amazing! We were referred to DJ Phil by a friend and never looked back! He brought all of the music we requested and more! He personalized our wedding party introduction, the music I walked down the aisle to and our bouquet and garter tosses. He was willing to adjust as things changed throughout the night and was all around enjoyable to have as our DJ! He brings his own vinyls for certain special songs and has really helpful suggestions when you aren't sure what you want! We have gotten nothing but amazing feeback on the music from our wedding guest and could not be more grateful to have an amazing DJ to call for later events!

Phillip is an incredibly talented DJ! We hired him to DJ our wedding with appx. 150 guests. The dance floor was full as soon as he started to DJ and didn’t empty out until the venue shut us down! We requested that Phillip play a wide range of tunes - disco, funk, and 80’s, 90’s and some current hits. He blended these genres together seamlessly. He even brought his vinyl collection for guests to dig through during dinner and make requests. Our friends and family loved this and thought it was a really nice personal touch. Phillip was so laid back and happy to accommodate all of our requests. I highly recommend him for any event!

Phil did such an amazing job being the DJ at my wedding! He was a pleasure to work with planning that music and kept people up on the dance floor!
