Mike, the founder of the service, has a strong passion for the music industry and has been providing unforgettable entertainment since middle school. DJ PowerPlay Entertainment is a sole proprietorship and understands that every wedding is unique, possessing a natural ability to adapt to each client’s specific vision for their special day. Additionally, they are fully insured and always have back-up equipment on site at every event! **Currently (as of March 2021), we only have select dates in December available for the 2021 Rockin Reception Tour. All other dates outside of December 2021 are no longer available. We have limited availiblity on our 2022 Rockin Reception Tour. Please reach out to inquire about our available 2022 dates! DJ PowerPlay Entertainment also aims to deliver seamless service, allowing clients to utilize the online interactive event planning tool, a do-not-play-list, and a one-event-per-day policy so you always get the owner of the company as your DJ. Mike provides an array of premium equipment including a 14,000 watt sound system powered by Presonus, intelligent programmable full concert style light show, wireless microphones, and more, leaving you with memories to cherish for a lifetime. Iowa City and Davenport is their home base but have performed at weddings all over the Midwest including areas of St. Louis, Minneapolis, Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago and Dubuque. His punctuality and professionalism early in the evening is top notch. When the party ramps up, he's great at reading the audience and plays the right mix to keep the party going all night long. Book him already! Seriously! You won't regret it.

stem for the ceremony and he provided some music for our cocktail hour. He double checked all our bridal party members names and how to pronounce them before he announced us into the reception. Then he did a great job keeping the evening moving when it was time for toasts. And obviously the best part was the amazing party on the dancefloor! Every song was perfect! Our guests danced the entire time, the dance floor was never empty! He definitely brings the party with his lights and awesome sound system!
