Our entire guest list was ranting and raving about how wonderful of an emcee DJ Rey was for the entire night, picking up on cues and changing up the music accordingly. His light banter on the mic, lively announcements, and ability to really liven the mood was amazing. We even asked for him to make an announcement for guests to wear their masks (we had a lot of older family members who were going to leave because some of the guests refused to put on masks), and he did it with such finesse that everyone was running to put their masks on. It’s not just his DJ skills either - he has such an outgoing, friendly, high energy personality and phone calls with him to work out our music choices was a really fun part of the planning process. We also chose to book the photo booth through him as an add on service, and I highly recommend doing that! All of our guests had such a blast with that and we were given a take home album with a copy of everyone’s pictures from the photo booth. Overall, one of our big goals was to have a party that people would look back on and think of how fun it was, and DJ Rey exceeded every expectation. We couldn’t recommend him more!

ning our wedding we knew all along that this would be one of, if not the MOST IMPORTANT decision as we wanted a huge party. This would be especially challenging as our family's are from different ethnic backgrounds (Haitian and Colombian) and many of our guests were only English-speaking. Additionally we had guests ranging from 5 years old to mid 80's so we were nervous about how the different groups of people would integrate. When we had our first phone call with Rey, he enthusiastically gave us ideas for the music, for how to get song ideas from family members, and shared our same level of excitement for our big day. This is before we even hired him! He showed that he not only has a passion for his craft, but also for his clients. We immediately knew we had to go with him. He did NOT disappoint. He was incredible at communicating, and even sent us a questionnaire in advance that accounted for every part of the timeline and allowed us to customize our experience. This included everything from song styles/choices to the type of MC-style we wanted from him (we, of course, wanted him very engaged and lighting up the party). On the day of the wedding he showed up on time, extremely well dressed, his DJ set up was beautiful and added to our decor, and he comforted us as we were pretty nervous. He immediately got the party started with very lively introductions, kept the mood elegant with soft music as requested during the dinner, then played every song we wanted at just the right times. The best part was that he kept our guests on the dance floor! Everyone was dancing all night - from the little kids to our elderly family members. It was incredible how Rey could mix songs in a way that blended our different cultures and we found that people from both sides of our family were dancing to music they had never heard before because Rey blended the music in such a thoughtful way! Our friends and family cannot stop talking about how much fun they had. One of our groomsmen is actually a DJ himself and commented on what a great job Rey did. He also made our parents comfortable when giving their speeches - always letting them know what was going on and he remembered the wedding party's names and would cheer them on when they were on the dance floor. Aside from all of this, Rey charges a very fair price and I honestly would have paid double for the level of service we got from him. He is also well respected in the wedding vendor community. When we told our photographer that he was our DJ, she could not contain her excitement. All in all, I cannot say enough good things about DJ Rey. I will be recommending him to EVERYONE I know that is getting married or hosting an event. He made our wedding day so much fun and gave us the party of our dreams! You will not regret hiring him!

We had some rain on our wedding day and most of the events were outside, but Rey quickly and easily adapted. He even agreed to host a short trivia game for us during the reception, and did such a fine job!
