A friend recommended this DJ based on another event, said it was such a fun night so of course we booked him! He was extremely fast to respond, gave great instructions, and had a whole online forum for us to plug in any detail we possibly could give. We did the Silver package, only needing reception service. He played a great MC and no joke kept the dancing going till he turned off the speakers. Our guests danced so hard and had the best time, including myself! He brought his own lights and lit the whole room up. Once the sun fully set, IT WAS SO COOL. Can't recommend this DJ enough! My one downside that I think was on me, I didnt consider the 30 min breakdown time so the dancing ended 30 minutes earlier than I expected.

We were extremely pleased to have Loren of DJ Rock My World work our wedding during the total solar eclipse! From the beginning he was very responsive as well as professional and knowledgeable at what he does. We had a lot of questions that came up throughout the whole process and he was very accommodating with scheduling meetings to answer our queries and put any concerns to rest. Loren was able to play any song or even any version of a song that we requested and made sure to prepare everything beforehand to make for a very seamless experience on our wedding day. He showed up exactly when he said he would hours before the event and made sure that everything was running smoothly at the venue. He can be as involved/outgoing or as reserved/passive as you would like him to be. Also, the online planning system for DJRMW was very easy to both understand and use to select exactly the experience and music that we wanted. Thank you so much Loren!

LONG REVIEW :The first vendor I hired for my wedding was DJ Rock My World. I signed my contract with him on 6/10/2022. At that time, we paid him in full for his services to be rendered at our 9/2/2023 wedding. Before booking, we spoke to Loren personally over the phone and enjoyed his personality and knowledge. During our conversation, he said that he had 3 djs within his team available each night for weddings. He also stated that since we were booking more than a year in advance, he would more than likely be the one to handle our event. Once we booked and paid, we did not reach out to him until 45 days prior to my event because I had not heard from him. On 7/20/2023 (Thursday)I called and left a voicemail for Loren explaining I would like to talk to him to go over our details and expectations for him at out wedding. I had not heard anything back, so on 7/24/2023 I called and left an additional requesting a call back to go over details. On Wednesday 7/26/2023 I still had not heard back and was getting frustrated at this point. I decided to email Loren. I have attached the email thread to this review as well. 7/26/2023 (Wednesday)Loren responds back and answers only one of my questions, and says my DJ is Kyle and he will be reaching out. 7/28/2023(Friday) I still had not heard from Kyle, so I reached back out to Loren via email letting him know that Kyle had not reached out. I also followed up a second time via email, and asked for his contact information so I could reach out. Loren responded back stating that Kyle was setting up for a festival and would reach out to me Sunday 7/30/2023. I will admit I had little faith this would actually happen due to the lack of communication, but on Sunday I did receive an email, however it was from an email address I did not recognize, GOODTIMESPROFESSIONALAUDIO (Email thread is attached to this review) the email stated he would be assisting me at my wedding. At this point, I'm confused, so I ask if he works for Loren or if he was sub contracted out. He responded and let me know that he had been subcontracted by Loren on 7/22/2023. NOW I AM FURIOUS. How in the world could I pay for a DJ more than a year in advance, only for him to sub out for my most important day!!! I instantly reached back out to Loren to voice my disappointment in him, and his lack of culmination. I read the contract and saw that there was a line stating he could do this, however he didn't even tell me!! I even asked if i could contract my own subcontracted DJ and just pay the difference so i was happy and the nerve of him to respond with "im in my contract rights, and no I dont feel comfortable with that". ITS MY WEDDING. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE NOT COMFORTABLE!!!! He forgot about my wedding, scrambled to find a sub only because I called to work out the details, then ignored my phone calls, and proceeded to give no apologies, no empathy, no cares for me, my feelings, or my wedding! How unprofessional! The DJ he subbed for my wedding was grossly under qualified, under my expectations and did not deliver the level of service I paid for. He said he knew how to MC-WRONG-it was so dry and lifeless, my 8 yeat old would have done a better job. He played the anniversary game wrong, after stating he knew how to do it. He didn't play any of the music we sent him and requested him to play during dinner. He didn't test his equipment prior to our ceremony and the guests could not hear the first part of our officiant. He had a whole system shut down (i dont even know how that happens) and delayed our entry into the reception by 15 minutes. He did not blend songs, just dry cut them with awkward pauses... the list goes on and on!!! If I could give no stars I would! DJ Rock My World and Loren-if you would like to discuss this matter over the phone, I will gladly take your call, even though you failed to take mine. Please please please future brides, beware of this DJ and his less than reputable practices.

DJ Loren was INCREDIBLE! He came to set up and check all things WELL before the ceremony, communicated consistently with us, and kept everyone out on the dance floor having an amazing time! We had some pretty difficult requests with portions of specific songs for both ceremony and reception, and Loren made it all happen perfectly! He cut the songs to the parts we liked and sent them to us beforehand to confirm, started and ended songs exactly how we wanted, and was overall so flexible and patient with us! We did an "athlete introduction-type" entrance for our bridal party, and Loren executed it better than we could have ever imagined! We cannot recommend DJRockMyWorld enough. I read the very few poor reviews from others and could not believe in a million years that they were true because Loren was just absolutely awesome to work with and made our day that much more special. Book him ASAP!! You will not regret it!

When we started planning for our wedding, we really didn't give much though to the DJ. We even were toying with the idea of just not having one, since our wedding was low key and at my parents' house. We chatted with Loren and the more he explained things, the more I could see that what he was offering is more than just playing music. As Master of Ceremonies, Loren was responsible for the time line, getting sync'ed up our other vendors (caterer, photographer), and getting everyone where they need to be. It was almost like we had a Day Of coordinator, kinda. Loren's efforts helped us transition from one part of the wedding to the next, seamlessly. I forgot to mention the online music planning system. This was really neat! It was a web app that allowed us to plan pretty much the whole wedding (for what's happening Day Of, that is). We were able to select and put in our music, and we also were able to add info that Loren needed for the day. Stuff like the officiant's name, what we were doing (first dances, bouquet toss). There's also a section where you can choose how your DJ interacts with the crowd. You know, like laid back, lively, etc. We went with lively (but not over the top). It was a wedding, not a rave. LOL! After talking to some of our family and guests, we see that we made a GREAT choice in DJ/MC for our wedding. It was such a relief that the DJ/MC stuff was not something we had to worry about. I was worried about the other things (like not falling face down when dad walked me down the aisle). LOL.

Do not book this DJ! First off, the Monday before my Friday wedding I got an email saying the photo booth was broken. They did refund me the $200 for that but didn’t offer any help or solutions to the lack of one the week of my wedding. Then on Thursday I got an email stating that since they weren’t involved in the ceremony they’d set up at the reception venue at a certain time. They were a part of the ceremony. I had confirmed it with them a few weeks ago. When I replied and questioned if they would be at the ceremony (with screenshots of them saying previously they would be) no one responded. I went into my wedding day hoping they’d show up. Luckily they did. The music and microphone were staticy. Fine. No big deal. Then we get to the reception. I asked for “be our guest” instrumental to be played while dinner was served. They played that then played the song again with all the words. First few songs went well. Then the equipment kept cutting out in the middle of songs. The first time I went to address it I asked if he needed someone from the venue to help him. He said no. The next 4 times he was getting snippy with us saying it wasn’t his fault even though I had already asked the event planner to help him and she said she already tried to but it wasn’t anything on their end. My friend group is constantly on the dance floor at weddings and he couldn’t keep anyone on it. The “song list” he has you make is apparently what he makes a playlist out of because instead of spacing out group dances (cha cha slide- Cupid shuffle etc) he played them all in a row? He also didn’t even play all the songs from my list. Didn’t play any slow songs until the very end upon request. We also put that we wanted a private last dance which was on the list. Didn’t get that. Song wasn’t even played. I didn’t even know it was time for the last song (not watching the clock at my own wedding) until he started playing closing time. They had amazing reviews so I was very confident in booking. This was a total let down and by far the worst part of my wedding.

Loved this DJ service! We had Anthony and his wife the day of our wedding and loved everything about it. His wife was super helpful with organization and making sure everything ran smoothly. She even fixed plates for me and my husband. I cannot recommend them enough.

I CANNOT say enough wonderful things about Loren and his team. He was by far the most reliable, efficient, and competent vendor we had for our wedding! The music selection process was great, the communication leading up to our wedding was above expectations, and Loren kept our guests dancing well into the night. He is flexible and reliable, and we are SO glad he was our DJ!

I would recommend this DJ to anybody! His live and up beat personality made made our day amazing. He supplied flip flops for the bridesmaids which was such a kind touch. Also the photo booth is absolutely worth the money.!

Loren was an absolute blast at our wedding. We booked a little late, and also reserved his officiant services only a week before the wedding and he was so patient and accommodating. The service he uses to get all of your info is so easy to use and absolutely relieved so much stress being able to just input all of that on the site. We gave Loren about 10 songs and he built the entire night around it. Absolutely amazing.

Loren did a great job! Super easy to work with, he brought and set up a photo booth for a couple hundred and it was a huge hit.

Loren was very responsive every time I reached out. He was always open to what we wanted and needed. This was both before, and during, the wedding. He played a great variety of music that always had people on the dance floor.

Loren was amazing! The music was perfect for our cocktail hour and ceremony, exactly what I wanted! He also kept the reception hype all night, and had the perfect vibe going! I am so glad we selected him, he made our wedding day even more amazing.

We ended up cancelling our wedding and eloping due to Covid. DJ Rock My World remained professional, was prompt in answering questions and helped us to transfer our contract to another couple.

Loren was a key vendor at our Laurel Hall wedding. His music platform was easy to work within pre-wedding and the song list never ending! During the wedding, Loren facilitated many announcements to get our party going from activity to activity. Even when we veered off schedule a bit, Loren was so calm and professional and worked everything out behind the scenes. I was not worried about the music for a minute of the pre-planning or day of. Loren is very familiar with Laurel Hall as a venue too and offered excellent suggestions on set up and speaker needs. I would highly recommend Loren to any bride and groom!

From his extensive online music planner to his friendliness day-of, I definitely do not second guess my choice. He came through on everything we had asked for, helped in making announcements, and kept the dance floor busy! I probably danced more than I should have, but my now-husband and I had the absolute time of our lives at our wedding and DJ Rock My World was definitely a part of the success. Highly recommend!

Loren and his son were absolutely wonderful! Very professional very friendly. Very thorough and helped me with quite a bit of my wedding planning. They are very knowledgeable about How the wedding should take place. They were able to play good mix of music and get the people dancing! They were a huge help in keeping The wedding on time, and at one point Loren stepped in to help in all the chaos of trying to keep things going! DJ rock my world helped us throw a wedding of a lifetime. He was prompt with meeting us as well as communication and with helping find the best selection of music for our wedding. DJ rock my work kept everything in check for our wedding allowing us to have the time of our lives while we relaxed and enjoyed our day. On top of being very professional and having a strong work ethic, he was fantastic at keeping the crowd hyped! All in all, we highly recommend!

I am so glad that my new husband and I picked DJ rock my world for our wedding. Loren was incredible to work with from start to finish. He always made us feel like we were his number one priority, from answering our communications right away , To remembering details we told him about our preferences, to talking us through our options when we were being indecisive. My bride and I were well pleased with our choice in DJs. DJ Rock My World customized the package we purchased exactly to fit our needs. He listened very carefully to what we wanted and executed flawlessly. Honestly, you can't ask for more than that. Loren surprised our wedding party by providing special gifts for our groomsmen and bridesmaids. Not only that, but he even provided gifts for our parents. Nice touch.

I can’t say enough good things about how awesome our experience was with DJ Rock My World. We had a blast and so did all of guests. Loren kept the party going and he went above and beyond to help with other things like coordinating with our venue, photographer, caterer, and even the bartender. After looking at many DJs online, Jon and I are SO glad that we decided on DJ Rock My World. Loren was a pleasure to work with. He patiently explained all the options and was never pushy. We picked a plan that worked for us and he customized it to fit our unique needs. We liked the online planner, which really helped us not only with the DJ aspects, but other important planning for our wedding. On our big day, Loren arrived several hours early. He had to set up three systems for our event, because we needed one for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and then the reception. Loren coordinated directly with our caterer, officiant, and other vendors to make sure everybody knew what was going on. I think this is the reason that the entire event went off without a hitch. The best thing for Jon and I was that we were just able to RELAX and enjoy the day with family and friends. I received some calls and emails after our wedding from my family and friends, who just raved about the DJ. That made us feel even better about choosing DJ Rock My World. There are SO many DJ choices in the area. We definitely picked the right one for us. YAY!

Quality, affordable DJ I knew after talking to Loren, he was the DJ I wanted to hire. As my husband is active military, I knew using a Veteran was a smart move. Loren was professional and was able to get some random songs that I wanted to use for the night. He also made a special surprise announcement so we could honor the multiple service members who attended our wedding. That was a very nice touch. I highly recommend him. You won't go wrong with having him DJ your event!

It was so nice to work with a DJ who really cared about us and our wedding day! He always responds quickly to my texts and emails, in like in minutes! Loren was able to work with our special requests. He also helped mic up our guitarist during the ceremony, so his guitar and voice was clearly heard during the ceremony. When it came to our First Dance and special dances, Loren played exactly what we requested, and his dancefloor lighting was very cool and just added to the mood. I'll always remember that. Can't go wrong with this DJ. He's a Pro!

From the first phone call to the last song of the night. DJ Rock My World made us feel relaxed. His online music planning system was great! We were able to put in all the important aspects for our wedding. Loren used this roadmap to coordinate with all our other wedding vendors to provide great day of coordinator services. We couldn't have picked a better DJ. We got our music and so much more!

DJ Rock My World delivered on every promise made. From the beginning he had stellar communication- from the phone call explaining all of our options, to working through technology issues with the music planning system, to coordinating with our other vendors the day of... The music planning system made it easy for all of our vendors to know the plan for the day of because he had such a detailed road map to fill out, which made the day go smoothly. We gave him opportunities for creative control during parts of our ceremony and he did a great job! We had a special dance that needed songs mixed together and he worked on that prior to the wedding and sent it to us for approval so that everything would go off without a hitch the day of the wedding. He managed to get more people out on the dance floor than we ever could have imagined and everyone kept telling us about how great the music was in the days after the wedding. He even had gifts for the wedding party and family, which was very sweet and our wedding party really appreciated them.

DJ Rock My World provided us great service from before the event and making sure everything was prepared, to during the event. He worked with the other vendors onsite to make sure our special day came off without a hitch. DJ Rock My World's MCing and song selections were a big hit with our family and friends on the dancefloor. Couldn't have picked a better DJ

My bride and I were very impressed with Loren's service. He responded very quickly to our request for information in the beginning. This was amazing, because we contacted three other DJs, one of which never responded. This fast response started a pattern of excellent service. Loren took time with us on the phone explaining all our options, and made recommendations on what he thought would fit our needs. The thing I noticed was that he was never pushy like a "car salesman", like some of the other DJs we spoke to. Loren even held the date for us to give us time to discuss it and make our decision. Once Judy and I decided and contacted him, he immediately sent the DJ agreement. This agreement was very well detailed. We liked that. Judy and I wanted to know what we were getting. Loren even had contingencies for anything that might happen unexpectedly. That was cool. Once I signed the agreement, returned it, and paid the online invoice, Loren immediately sent the code for us to log into the Online Music Planning center to get started. His online system enabled us to plan every part of the wedding including the music, the flow, the people involved, and all the activities. As he described it, it was his "roadmap" for the day. I think it was about two weeks before the event, Loren contacted us. He sent a PDF version of our entries in his system. We went over every aspect, which was good because Judy and I missed one or two important things. Planning a wedding is very busy! LOL. When our special day came, Loren arrived three hours early, he set up two of his sound systems. One outside for the ceremony, and his main system inside. He included wireless mics, which was helpful. Also, the inside setup had great sound, dancefloor lights AND uplights (which we thought were a cool bonus). Loren did something that we did not expect. Judy and I did not hire a Day Of Coordinator (which we should have done - Oopps!). Loren stepped in and coordinated with our caterer, officiant, and photographer to make sure everyone was able to work together. He did a good job, as it all went together seamlessly. From the ceremony, to the cocktail, hour, through dinner, and the rest of the reception, it couldn't have went better. Loren even took time to make sure the folks doing our toasts knew the best place to stand and how to hold the mic. Who knew! We were very impressed during the open dancing section. Loren did what he called "live mixing". He had explained to us previously that he wouldn't just put on some songs. This meant a lot to the reception. He would actively keep the dancefloor going with our selected songs, guest requests, and popular songs. Loren did just that. All in all, Judy and I think we made a great choice in DJs. His attention to detail and passion for what he does really shows. We've received some emails from our friends that enjoyed our wedding. A special day to remember for sure! :-)

DJ Rock My World was easy to communicate with and quick to respond to questions. We had a few hiccups with our wedding, but nothing that substantially ruined it and he was very accommodating and willing to listen to our concerns and make them right. DJ Rock My World exceeded our expectations. In addition to following our song requests, Loren went above and beyond to help coordinate the processional, recessional and entrance of the bridal party. It was also really easy to communicate with Loren. We had a really nice relationship with each and every one of our vendors, but we were particularly impressed with DJ Rock My World. Lauren was a great help in so many things with our wedding! Before the wedding he was very thorough and helping me understand and navigate planning music for every aspect of my wedding. He has a huge playlist, and it was very accommodating to all our request. He traveled about three hours to our venue. He was on time and had a professional set up. When it was getting a little chaotic trying to keep the wedding processional in order, he really stepped in and played Wedding director for us! He kept the events of the day moving and fun! He played a variety of music to suit all taste for music at our wedding. Would recommend.

Nice guy, but not a DJ you want for something as special and important as your wedding. 1. He messed up during our ceremony TWICE. We only had him play 5 songs. He began with the wrong song as the grandparents/parents were walking down, and then as we were walking to start the sand ceremony he began the wrong song, abruptly stopped it, and started the correct one. We even had a rehearsal before hand. 2. He didn't bring his own table for this ceremony equipment, and didn't request one until he was starting to setup. Luckily we found an extra one in the venue. 3. He was supposed to dismiss tables to get food at the reception. After maybe 4 tables were dismissed, we noticed there was a long pause and people were getting a little antsy. Then we look over and he's in line getting food! We had 16 tables waiting. We had my stepsister start dismissing tables instead. 4. On his event form (which is actually fairly nice), he had Shoe Game as an option. We thought it would be fun, so we selected it. It was simply a yes/no question. When we had our point person ask him when that was going to start, he was confused as to what it was and then asked us to write out questions to ask. We naturally assumed that was something standard he did and didn't have anything prepared. We just decided it wasn't worth doing. 5. Another option on his form was Anniversary Dance, something also somewhat standard at weddings. He did it wrong and people were confused, so it was pretty awkward. 6. He kept throwing in random sound bits to songs that didn't fit at all and were so loud. 7. We wrote we wanted clean music in a couple different places on the form, and his site even said he played clean music unless the couple wanted something else, but there were a couple songs played that were definitely not clean. 8. We gave a playlist of songs we wanted, about 20, and we don't remember him playing half of them. 9. He played what we wanted as our last dance before he was supposed to, and wouldn't stop the song and play a different one until the song was probably 50% over. Then after our "last dance" he plays his own last song. I'm fairly sure that defeats the purpose of the last song.

Last minute I decided that I wanted to hire a dj for my wedding and I’m very glad I hired DJ Rock My World. He was so understanding even though with everything going on I did not give him much to go by. My only issue was that the song that I walked down the aisle to wasn’t the correct song. It was a song by the same name but not the correct one. That being said had I had more time to actually work with Loren, it probably would have been a simple fix. Our wedding in general was a hectic affair in the midst of so many other life events. He made it easy and took care of everything and that is all I could ask for!

We have met the DJ at one of the Bridal Shows in Indianapolis. I have contacted the DJ and he was really responsive to emails and all sounded great. So we came to the point of signing the contract. The contract states that"This Contract supersedes any prior written or oral agreements between the parties." Therefore I wanted to make sure that everything we had previously talked about is in the contract. The first trial was missing additional hours as well as the ceremony that we wanted him to do. The invoice that he send had the incorrect date listed. After 4 trails of getting the correct date listed on the invoice he send us a 5th one saying he triple checked everything. The date of the wedding was off by over 4 month. I am unsure what he checked but definitely was not the date. Needless to say we did not use him for our wedding. Since we are unsure what date he would show up and we could no longer trust him with the quality of service that he would provide. The contract also states the following:"Client agrees to provide three written reviews (hopefully positive), for the event and performance of DJ Rock my world PRIOR to the full completion of the event. Client further agrees to provide the review online (i.e. WeddingWire.com, etc.), as requested by DJ Rock my world after the event." Even through we never signed the contract I am still writing the review.
