In addition, he was a very kind person to work with leading up to the wedding. We got so many compliments on the music and the party, all thanks to Jerome! We had a huge party planned but unfortunately mandates forced us to cut it down big time. Rome rolled with the punches and still made the day PERFECT. Besides those challenges we had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, a huge list of do NOT plays and tons of MUST plays. Rome ran the show to perfection, mixing everything timely and smoothly. After leaving a lasting impression with all our guest we are 100% planning on a huge bash when things calm down with Covid and plan on DJ Rome being there!

e he had all incredible reviews and was recommended by other vendors we trusted. I walked into the day with zero concerns about him after his intensive planning process and friendly phone calls but that very, very quickly changed. Our venue and other vendors soon realized during set up that he was behaving strangely, possibly under the influence of something, and not at all prepared for our wedding. He did not have our in-depth plan and our venue coordinator had to get our walk out lineup for the reception from me last minute. When we were introduced at our reception he announced us with a completely different last name. The schedule for the night and the playlists that we impeccably planned and discussed were completely ignored. This was very clear to us as the dancing began and we had MULTIPLE people from our bridal party, our other vendors, and even his own assistant for the photo booth go up to him and ask him to play our requested songs and stop harassing guests in the microphone but it was repeatedly not followed. During the reception he began making inappropriate comments to the guests and interrupting songs. He called one of my bridesmaids who made a request “thick” over the mic. He asked me (the bride) to twerk before he would play a song, he asked guests to cheer if they thought I was the hottest girl on the dance floor. All in all, extremely inappropriate. He would frequently stop songs and switch to different ones at times that don’t make sense (who would ever want Shout to be stopped mid “a little bit softer now” for Bad Romance??) I think he only played two of our requested songs. Our vendors who had worked with him in the past agreed this was not his typical style and something was wrong and we were right to be upset. Our bridal party continuously asked him to put on songs that we requested and stood with him as he seemed to aimlessly scroll on his computer before playing a completely different song. This is when it became abundantly clear that he was incapacitated. At one point he stopped playing music completely, babbling incoherently into the microphone and was asked by our wedding venue to leave and security got involved. An incident report was filed by security at Spruce Peak in which they note “an incident occurred resulting in negligence in services provided and harassment of individuals in the Lieb & Mulvihill Wedding Party”. In short, he ruined our wedding reception. There were multiple other details that were not achieved as well, like cutting the parents dances short when he was the one who suggested we play the full songs, having only 4 of the 12 of the uplights that we paid for (and them initially being the wrong color), having an incorrect date on our photo booth prints (June 16, 2031? vs our date of December 11, 2021 - Not even an understandable mistake). All in all nothing he did was at all reflective of his other positive reviews and left a huge damper on our wedding day that was only recovered thanks to our amazing family and friends. He gave us a full refund but no amount of money can ever make up for a ruined wedding reception that we will never get back. There is absolutely no excuse for what happened on our wedding day. Save yourself a massive headache and possibly disastrous wedding day and do not book this DJ.

He answered all my questions in a timely manner, and seriously was my only vendor who responded in a timely manner haha. I didn't have to email multiple times or anything! His voice is super calming and he did a great job MC'ing the event. He got all my music down pat with just me answering a questionnaire. No regrets...cept I just wish I had more events that I could have him DJ for LOL. Our wedding was sooo much FUNNNNNN, and DJ Rome played a huge role in that.

He answered every anxiety-induced question I had with kindness, he replied quickly to all of my emails (there were a lot) and he was so supportive and thoughtful throughout the whole process. He is the guy for the job. My family is not big dancers, and he still had people out there moving. He timed the entrance songs for the ceremony perfectly. He even handled some drama that was happening at the venue, and I never even knew about it until after. He was so flexible with us and went with the flow of the day perfectly. Simply, he felt like he was an old friend instead of someone we hired. He was the best, and both my husband and I are so grateful to him! Hire DJ Rome, you will not be sorry.

Before deciding to change the look of our wedding altogether, we postponed our large wedding to one year later, hoping that COVID would let up.
