DJ Rome was the perfect choice for our wedding. He truly listened to our music requests and gave us a reception that fit our event perfectly! We made some last minute changes to the schedule of events day-of and he rolled with the punches, quickly shifting gears and keeping the night running smoothly. He even helped with some surprises, like the secret song I sang to my husband during our vows, which Jerome supplied extra equipment for. We are so glad we chose Jerome as our wedding DJ! From the beginning Jay AKA DJ Rome was a constant professional. He communicated with us through his website, phone call, and in person to make sure he knew what we were looking for. His music choices matched the energy of the room every time. His song cues for during the ceremony and all of the first dances were right on point. We had DJ Ray Hill fill in for DJ Rome 802 at our wedding, and he was awesome! Our venue was all outdoors, with separate ceremony and reception spaces, and DJ Ray Hill totally nailed it when it came to setting up the portable speakers and mic for our ceremony, and then dealing with the generator setup in the reception tent. The sound quality was great, and the song changes and transitions were perfectly timed. DJ Ray Hill was very well prepared, followed our ideas and suggestions for the music we wanted to hear, and threw a great dance party for us! Thank you, DJ Ray Hill!

DJ Rome did an outstanding job with our small, non-traditional wedding day vision. We wanted to keep the day simple and minimize the typical wedding traditions and cheesy announcements, which he completely respected. He effortlessly blended into the background and delivered us the dinner-party vibe turned party that we were looking for. During the planning stage, he was responsive and pleasant to work with. On our wedding day, he made sure our ceremony music was right on cue and cut at exactly the right spots. He blended our favorite tunes tastefully during cocktail hour and dinner to set the mood for guest conversation. DJ Rome canceled on us 2 weeks before our wedding even though we booked him 3 years ago and kept him updated (and he confirmed) on our new wedding date when it was postponed due to COVID. After confirming the new wedding date, we did not hear from him and when we reached out again, he didn't respond until 2 weeks before our wedding saying that he had "unexpected travel" and pedalled some unknown person to us saying that was our new "lead DJ". We had never heard of this person, we didn't agree to it, and the price was the same. This is horrible and we are heartbroken and we are now scouring to find a new, reputable DJ 2 weeks before our wedding...

We hired DJ Rome to do the Winterball for my university. Being a college student and a lead point person for vendors was stressful, but DJ Rome was there to answer all of my questions and he made the process stress free. We hired Jerome for our winter wedding and we could be happier. He made the booking process easy and we really appreciated him checking in to see how the planning process was going. From the first time I reached out to inquire about his services he was very responsive and very flexible in working with the different packages and timelines of the day! I got married at Mountain Top Inn and our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all in different locations. He handled this with ease! I had the privilege to work with DJ Rome for the first time for a Winter Wonderland Wedding in Vermont! Before the event he was responsive and attentive. Day of he showed up early, was flexible, accommodating, and so easy to work with. He definitely brought the party! As a wedding planner I would definitely recommend DJ Rome!

Please save yourself from heartache and regret. We had two phone calls with Jerome leading up to our event where we discussed the genres of music we enjoyed, the schedule of events, and do- and don't-play songs. He seemed very thorough and he gave us the illusion that we would be taken care of. Almost immediately after our ceremony, Jerome made it clear to us that he was not as competent or prepared. Our event coordinator came to us right before our bridal party's reception entrance asking us to write down the names and the order of announcement of our bridal party. We had already given him this information twice. Even after we provided the information again, he failed to introduce my parents, he called our bridal party members by the wrong names, and ultimately did not announce our newly shared last name but rather some unintelligible mumble. During my wife's first dance with her father, he cut the song short even though he explicitly suggested that we don't cut the dances short! Jerome had our schedule and was responsible for moving the night along. However, he did not keep the night flowing and our other vendors had to coordinate the start of the speeches by getting the microphone from Jerome, despite it not being their responsibility. We had to ask Jerome twice to open the dance floor and start the reception music. Once he did, he immediately started playing songs that were not in line with our expectations. We sent many people to him throughout the first 30 minutes of music to try to get him back on track, including friends, family, vendors, and his own photo booth attendant. He shrugged, made comments under his breath, and continued playing whatever he wanted. When he played songs that were on our list, he interrupted them by harassing our guests and my wife. He called one of the bridesmaids "thick" and kept restarting "Mr. Brightside", my wife's favorite song, telling her that he wouldn't play it until she twerked. It was inappropriate, and the security at our venue filed a report citing “an incident occurred resulting in negligence in services provided and harassment of individuals in the Lieb & Mulvihill Wedding Party". Jerome frequently started songs over. Additionally, there were many frustrating moments when a song was climaxing and he switched songs right before the "drop". The final straw was when Jerome stopped playing music altogether and murmured nonsense into the microphone. At this point, we knew that Jerome was under the influence of something. Our venue's event coordinator removed Jerome from the stage and brought him into a separate room where he was questioned by venue security and deemed too incapacitated to leave. If this sounds dishonest, I implore you to verify with the Lodge at Spruce Peak's security department. Jerome left us with no music during our wedding reception while he slept off his drug-fueled come-down. After my wife left a similar review for DJ Rome 802, he texted her acknowledging what an awful job he had done. He said "I received some bad news the night before and I messed up by trying to drink it away". He let personal problems get in the way of the most important day of our life and we don't want anyone else to ever experience what we experienced. He has given us a full refund. However, a refund does not make up for the stress and trauma he caused and the bad memories he created in a day that should have only consisted of great ones. DO NOT HIRE DJ ROME - it is not worth the risk.

#CovidWedding in upstate NY. We hired Rome for our perfect day well before the pandemic hit. We chose him because , no offense to the other DJs in the area but Rome is the only DJ in the area that's not 1 dimensional. We are party people and listen to ALL types of music. After tons of research we found that Rome was the only DJ for us. We had a huge party planned but unfortunately mandates forced us to cut it down big time. Rome rolled with the punches and still made the day PERFECT. Besides those challenges we had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, a huge list of do NOT plays and tons of MUST plays. Rome ran the show to perfection, mixing everything timely and smoothly. After leaving a lasting impression with all our guest we are 100% planning on a huge bash when things calm down with Covid and plan on DJ Rome being there!

DJ Rome was INCREDIBLE. He was very communicative and detail oriented to make sure our day went smoothly. He took the lead and ran the night perfectly. DJ Rome was better than I could have ever imagined a DJ could be for our September wedding. From the beginning he was easy to work with, asked for our opinion to perfect the playlists, and was flexible enough to incorporate a surprise happy birthday during our reception. He had people dancing the entire night, from reception to after party. He knows how to alter playlists for the type of party and crowd. I’m sure you’re shocked to see this one star review in a sea of five star reviews. That’s just a fraction of the shock we felt on our wedding day with DJ Rome. We booked him because he had all incredible reviews and was recommended by other vendors we trusted. I walked into the day with zero concerns about him after his intensive planning process and friendly phone calls but that very, very quickly changed. Our venue and other vendors soon realized during set up that he was behaving strangely, possibly under the influence of something, and not at all prepared for our wedding. He did not have our in-depth plan and our venue coordinator had to get our walk out lineup for the reception from me last minute. When we were introduced at our reception he announced us with a completely different last name. The schedule for the night and the playlists that we impeccably planned and discussed were completely ignored. This was very clear to us as the dancing began and we had MULTIPLE people from our bridal party, our other vendors, and even his own assistant for the photo booth go up to him and ask him to play our requested songs and stop harassing guests in the microphone but it was repeatedly not followed. During the reception he began making inappropriate comments to the guests and interrupting songs. He called one of my bridesmaids who made a request “thick” over the mic. He asked me (the bride) to twerk before he would play a song, he asked guests to cheer if they thought I was the hottest girl on the dance floor. All in all, extremely inappropriate. He would frequently stop songs and switch to different ones at times that don’t make sense (who would ever want Shout to be stopped mid “a little bit softer now” for Bad Romance??) I think he only played two of our requested songs. Our vendors who had worked with him in the past agreed this was not his typical style and something was wrong and we were right to be upset. Our bridal party continuously asked him to put on songs that we requested and stood with him as he seemed to aimlessly scroll on his computer before playing a completely different song. This is when it became abundantly clear that he was incapacitated. At one point he stopped playing music completely, babbling incoherently into the microphone and was asked by our wedding venue to leave and security got involved. An incident report was filed by security at Spruce Peak in which they note “an incident occurred resulting in negligence in services provided and harassment of individuals in the Lieb & Mulvihill Wedding Party”. In short, he ruined our wedding reception. There were multiple other details that were not achieved as well, like cutting the parents dances short when he was the one who suggested we play the full songs, having only 4 of the 12 of the uplights that we paid for (and them initially being the wrong color), having an incorrect date on our photo booth prints (June 16, 2031? vs our date of December 11, 2021 - Not even an understandable mistake). All in all nothing he did was at all reflective of his other positive reviews and left a huge damper on our wedding day that was only recovered thanks to our amazing family and friends. He gave us a full refund but no amount of money can ever make up for a ruined wedding reception that we will never get back. There is absolutely no excuse for what happened on our wedding day. Save yourself a massive headache and possibly disastrous wedding day and do not book this DJ.

I don’t know where to begin but I’ll start by saying before a dj, Jerome is such genuine person and just made us feel like friends from the start and I truly believe one way or another that statement will remain true! My Fiancé and I as well as our guests did not leave the dance floor! We did not want the night to end, we had the most fun we’ve had in a long time! The smiles and laughter was like nothing I’ve ever felt and boy did we move like nobody was watching! All in all, AMAZING!!!

I don't think I can say enough kind words about DJ Rome to do him justice. After a hectic morning working with our venue folks, DJ Rome's professionalism and music really made it all fall together. We had a really small and intimate wedding, and I was afraid nobody would be dancing. However, DJ Rome's music really got the whole crowd dancing. He answered all my questions in a timely manner, and seriously was my only vendor who responded in a timely manner haha. I didn't have to email multiple times or anything! His voice is super calming and he did a great job MC'ing the event. He got all my music down pat with just me answering a questionnaire. No regrets...cept I just wish I had more events that I could have him DJ for LOL. Our wedding was sooo much FUNNNNNN, and DJ Rome played a huge role in that.

There just isn't enough words to explain all the good things to say about DJ Rome. Like most brides, the idea of planning a wedding started off exciting and then quickly became daunting. There were moments where hiring vendors was tricky. DJ Rome, never made it tricky. He made it easy and comfortable and is such a kind human being. He answered every anxiety-induced question I had with kindness, he replied quickly to all of my emails (there were a lot) and he was so supportive and thoughtful throughout the whole process. He is the guy for the job. My family is not big dancers, and he still had people out there moving. He timed the entrance songs for the ceremony perfectly. He even handled some drama that was happening at the venue, and I never even knew about it until after. He was so flexible with us and went with the flow of the day perfectly. Simply, he felt like he was an old friend instead of someone we hired. He was the best, and both my husband and I are so grateful to him! Hire DJ Rome, you will not be sorry.

During both the ceremony and reception DJ Rome absolutely crushed it. During the ceremony, everything was really well timed and he was able to fulfill our requests that likely differed from other weddings! During the reception he also welcomed the idea of trying a new challenge with open arms and it was executed flawlessly. After dinner the dance floor was NEVER empty, and stayed that way until the end of the night! 10/10 recommend.

Due to COVID, my partner and I were unable to hold the wedding we had planned and instead, are now planning a small intimate gathering. Although I did not witness firsthand Jerome's DJing, I can speak to his friendliness, organization, and professionalism. Before deciding to change the look of our wedding altogether, we postponed our large wedding to one year later, hoping that COVID would let up. Jerome was understanding and flexible, two things that are not guaranteed in the wedding industry. I would book again in a heartbeat. Lastly, if you need an extra boost of organizational support for your big day, Jerome is your guy. Unfortunately due to COVID & being out of state, we were unable to hold our initial wedding. We had an immediate family ceremony that didn’t allow for a DJ. I can’t speak to his Dj skills but I can speak to his professionalism, response time & overall greatness. If our budget & time allowed a large wedding- you bet your booty we’d have Jerome there. He was so incredible with our schedule, putting things on hold, rescheduling & even our deposit. We knew we were in good hands from the moment we spoke to him on the phone prior to hiring. Upon my initial search, many DJs and Bands in the VT area came up and I was overwhelmed. After having DJ Romes name, I searched his pages to find a comprehensive webpage and facebook page detailing the services. We decided to book DJ Rome based on his informative websites, quickness in responding, the services he provides (photo booth, wedding planner) on top of just DJ services. We are so glad we did. Sadly, our wedding was postponed and DJ Rome was happy to work with us and kept the customer in mind over his own business needs. We really appreciated his support and ability to work with us in coming up with a solution for our non-refundable deposit. We will reach out to DJ Rome for all of our future VT DJ'ing needs.

We originally booked DJ Rome for our July 2020 wedding. After completing some research online, we heard great reviews and once we reached out he was quick to respond, incredibly friendly and we felt very comfortable with the service and rates provided. Like many others, Covid-19 impacted our original wedding vision. We have had to have a drastic change of plans and are no longer having a reception, however due to the level of professionalism and service, if we ever are in need for a DJ service, DJ Rome will be our first stop. Allen and I were devastated after making the difficult decision to cancel our Vermont wedding this October. I was really looking forward to working with DJ Rome, he always provided timely responses and was extremely helpful with planning our musical selections for the event. Unfortunately, like so many other couples, we've had to canceled our wedding this year due to COVID-19. Out of all of the vendors that we've had to work with through this ordeal, DJ Rome has been by far the most understanding.

Jay was AMAZING! All of my guests are still raving about him. He was punctual, understood our "vibe" just from reading our music list, and was very responsive to song requests. We love some good old school Hip Hop and R&B. He played just the right amount of it and plugged in his own music that he saw fit. NO ONE left the dance floor the whole night, which was our goal. My husband used to be a DJ and has some pretty high standards. I have to say, we were both very pleased with Jay's service and will never forget this night solely because of him! DJ Rome 802 kept the party going all night!!! All of our guests commented how amazing the DJ was, and asked where did we find him? My wife gave me the task of finding the DJ for our wedding, since I was personally a DJ myself. That made our decision even more critical. We had Cody from DJ Rome 802 and he was awesome. He was flexible with our impromptu ceremony set-up and helped organize everything for our meal (calling tables, announcing us, etc) and our first dance. He played great music, was open to requests, and even found a relatively obscure Guatemalan tune for the groom's grandmother. Would absolutely hire again.

DJ Rome was friggin' awesome. He was a pleasure to deal with as he was always responsive and professional in the lead up to the big day. He has a great questionnaire that you fill out that gives him an idea of your style. We were very particular about our music choices and gave him (probably too many) notes on what were must-plays and what were no-gos and he killed it, taking our notes and turning the dance floor into an unforgettable experience. Our guests were covered in sweat from all the dancing, but they all had smiles plastered across their faces. His set up is great, and he comes prepared with extra gear such as microphones and light-show equipment just in case you need it (we went with the light show, it was awesome!) He knew how to fit discreetly in our reception space without his gear spilling out all over the place, or it feeling like the center of attention. DJ Rome was a pleasure in person, knew how to keep the speeches moving along, and had a great voice himself. The flow of the night was perfect, the mix of the songs fantastic, and he even took some requests to the delight of our guests (but also knew to say no to some of the more... inebriated guests). His assistant was super helpful and kind and even snapped some beautiful photos of the wedding for us (can never have too many of those!) We would recommend him in a heartbeat and can't thank him enough for helping us host the greatest night of our lives.

DJ Rome was PERFECT and so supportive for our wedding. He was so organized, totally got what we wanted and had every piece of equipment we needed. He helped us to execute some different sound/musical needs (we had friends play guitar and sing during our ceremony, and perform during the reception) flawlessly. He was so easy to work with, so amiable during our event and most of all, kept the party going until our venue made us leave! We sent him some playlists to give him an idea of our vision and he got it COMPLETELY! DJ Rome was amazing to work with, extremely professional, organized and quick to respond. Even when we didn't have the share drive completely filled out he made sure to ask what we needed days before the wedding. Photobooth was a huge hit with print outs at the wedding, we even got a photobook with all of the pictures inside that guests could sign. He played great music and kept the party going all night. He and his associate were even able to bring a speaker and microphone up the mountain for our ceremony. Nothing but complements for him! 10/10 recommend for any event! All our guests even raved about how good he was in the days following. Hes super accommodating and flexible. A pleasure to work with. I wished I lived in VT I would hire him for all my parties! I do not have enough good things to say about him. Do yourself a favor and hire him, you wont be sorry!

The DJ Rome team was an ideal partner for our big day. After seeing their work at other events, we knew they were our top choice! Our venue heard we were going to be working with them and excitedly told us “they’re great!” They were. Communicating early and often, we had full trust they would execute the perfect soundtrack for our day. DJ Ianu helped direct guests during dinner and provided helpful updates when it was time for our shuttles to depart. They were quick to accommodate on the spot requests, and they were very flexible, professional and kind! We really enjoyed the videos DJ Rome posted after our event to capture small moments we missed during the big day, especially the behind the scenes video of our reception entrance. Responsive, Friendly and Kept the Party Going! We loved having DJ Rome 802 as our DJ company. In the time leading up to wedding, Jerome was responsive, helpful and supportive. He listened to our needs and made sure we were getting the best service possible. Whenever I had a question, he would answer quickly and thoroughly. DJ Ianu was our DJ for the night and he was wonderful! From his first email to us before our wedding to the end of our wedding, he was consistently friendly. He had a huge smile on his face throughout the night and kept our guests dancing. Our guests kept saying how nice our DJ was and how he was consistently friendly to everyone (even the ones who had indulged at the bar a little bit too much haha). You could tell he really loved what he was doing and that he was happy to be there. From the get-go Jay was organized and professional. He was in contact us early on with a spreadsheet of our likes and dislikes so we were comfortable going into the day. On the day of he was great in reading the crowd during cocktail our and our reception— we got a lot of compliments on the choice of music, and people were dancing up until the last minute which is exactly what we wanted. He was also really accommodating on set up both our outdoor mountain ceremony and indoor reception which were 15 minute drives away. His assistant was also great on taking some really nice pictures which was a great surprise outside of our professional wedding photos. All in all we would absolutely book Jay again and are so glad we chose him for our wedding. Thanks Jay!

DJ Rome and his crew were absolutely incredible! Ceremony music and mics were setup in great positions. Walked into the reception to great music. We cannot thank DJ Rome and his amazing crew for keeping the music going all night to dance our asses off!

Jay made our wedding a true celebration, our friends couldn't stop raving about how much they danced and the wedding! Jay knew how to read the room and play just the right songs and the right time. People where full on dancing while waiting in line to get food! not to mention Jay was very friendly and professional during all of our interaction leading up to the wedding which was very re-assuring to us. 10/10 would recommend!

Rome did a fantastic job. He was very thoughtful in his preparation, making sure he exactly knew what we wanted and how we imagined our reception to be. He made the day easy on us, the only time I thought about the music was when I was enjoying time on the dance floor. Constantly my friends and family are bringing up the great time we had on the dance floor and Rome really helped to facilitate those great moments. He is a great guy, extremely professional, and I would use him again.

DJ Rome is the best around. One of the things we wanted most for our wedding was a packed dance floor and good music. DJ Rome kept a perfect flow through the evening in order to keep everybody from sitting a song out. He made sure to stay away from our "no-plays" and was extremely professional before, during, and after the event. My wife and I have been to many weddings in this area, and DJ Rome is by far the best we've seen. I can't express how thankful we were to have him at our event. You rock!

Jay was very great at responding to any questions we had. He got back to us within 24 hours. During our wedding, he showed up five hours prior to the start of our wedding to set up. DJ Rome did an amazing job! We were looking for an MC that wouldn't steal the spot light, and he respected that. He anticipated our crowd and played a great mix that got everyone dancing. He even went above and beyond and saved us a slice of the wedding cake since he saw that we didnt have a chance to eat it. his rates were super affordable and it was literally the most stress free decision we needed to make for the wedding.
