He sat down to plan everything with me for nearly two hours, offering song choices and suggestions for things I wasn't sure about. After the first meeting with him, I was so excited about the reception. The day of the wedding, he arrived early and had everything ready with plenty of time to spare. The ceremony was perfect, his coordinator made sure everyone was lined up correctly and was a huge help. The reception was even better, he played a variety of music that pleased all of my guests and got everyone excited and dancing. He knows how to keep things fun and is great at what he does. His pricing is very reasonable and his fun personality is hard to find, he truly made my reception perfect. I highly recommend DJ Roo to any couple that wants a fun and upbeat reception!

DJ Roo and Mouse did an excellent job of providing the music for our wedding. They did seating music before our ceremony and then they did our ceremony music and reception. It was wonderful. I felt at ease working with them and knew I had nothing to worry about the day of with DJ Roo and Mouse around.

DJ Roo was awesome. He made our wedding reception so much fun. My guests were dancing all night long and truly had a great time. I am still hearing how fun the night was, and a big part of that was DJ Roo. Not only did he keep everyone dancing, but he was also a great MC for toasts, introductions, and special dances. DJ Roo's prices are extremely reasonable and his enthusiasm and professionalism are top notch. His goal is to create the perfect party for you and he will take the time to make sure that happens.

DJ Roo came recommended to me by my wedding photographer, whose parents own a venue where DJ Roo does a lot of weddings. Our first meeting with Roo took place at his house in Fredericksburg, and his wife "Mouse" joined us - she's his assistant/right-hand woman when he's on the job. The first thing we noticed about Roo was his strong personality - his enthusiasm will pretty much knock you over. He clearly LOVES weddings, and he's very clear about wanting to create an event, not just provide background noise. We were on the same page on almost everything, and if I wasn't a fan of one of his ideas, he would immediately drop that idea and move onto another one. I have to admit that his fee, because it was much lower than his competitors, worried me at first - I was thinking it was a reflection of his quality and experience. I was, thankfully, very, very wrong, and very impressed by what we paid in exchange for what we got. Quality-wise, it's an understatement to say this is a good deal - he could easily charge more, but he's so honest about his costs, etc, and loves his job so much, that he doesn't want to. His song list is huge, and has a ton of variety. He has everything from disco, jazz, and blues to 2013/14 top hits, "line dance" songs, and instrumentals. I was worried we'd have a lot of the typical "wedding oldies" like the Electric Slide or Kool & the Gang. Instead, though, we got super-current pop music and old hits, mixed with country and slow jazz. It was perfect. His big sell is that he can "guarantee a packed dance floor" and I have to say, the dance floor was definitely crowded. Everyone had such a great time and loved the music! Roo is also fantastic with the logistics. Our reception schedule ran behind a bit (don't they all?), and instead of panicking and rushing everyone, he worked very well with the photographer and the caterers to rework the timing of everything. Mouse was also there, and did a fantastic job as a go-between with the other vendors to make sure everything from the cake cutting to the toasts and the bouquet toss were going as planned. What most impressed me, though, was that Roo came to our sweetheart table at the beginning of the ceremony to not only offer his congratulations and give us each a hug, but also to reassure us that he would have everything taken care of, party-wise, and wanted us to just relax and enjoy the party from then on out. At the end, he came and thanked us and was really very sweet in offering us his best wishes. All in all, I have nothing but great things to say about Roo - he was professional, experienced, friendly, and above all, fun.

Roo is awesome. First 10 minutes when I met him, I was a little hesitant but once the ice broke, it was smooth sailing. He has so much experience and advice! He really knows what he is doing and can cater/adapt to the guests to keep the dance floor hot! AND, you seriously will not find a better deal -- anywhere! He included pre-ceremony seating music and of course, the actual ceremony music in the cost, no nickel/dime crap with him. Amazing value!

Loved DJ Roo at my wedding! He was fantastic! He got everyone up and kept us up dancing all night. Very professional and high energy, but not obtrusive. He even taught us the wobble! Love him and would recommend!

I was very hesitant to even have a DJ when I started researching costs. When I discovered the cost of DJ Roo I thought it was too good to be true. Him and his wife Mouse were amazing. You can tell from the moment you talk to them on the phone they don't do this for the money, they do this because they love to. Roo goes through all the steps ahead of time to make sure things go smoothly. He looks at your venue to plan how to move in the equipment, he communicates with your other vendors and Mouse is basically your clock. She asks you a few minutes before each wedding event such as toasts and cake cutting. They are very flexible in all they do, they listen to your wants and make it happen the day of. His music selection is perfect, everyone at our wedding complimented "the great DJ". Our photographer even wants to hire him for his daughters wedding! The best part was how much fun Roo is. He will get out on the dance floor and teach dances to your guests. He is just so much fun! Mouse is also great, she is right there to make sure things go smoothly with family members, vendors and bridal party. Talk about a sweet heart! She is there for advice and support as well. I could go on and on about how great these two are, but honestly they are just the best they are- professional, punctual, flexible, knowledgeable, personable, and genuine people. Hands down the best value for DJ services. They truly want your day to be the best day, and that is exactly what they made happen at our wedding.

We used DJ Roo on recommendation from our venue. He cannot be beat for price, and he did a nice job with the wedding. Our prep meeting with him was a little rocky. He did not seem to approve of some of our choices (like not serving hard liquor and not doing any special dances besides bride/groom, father/daughter, mother/son), but he was very professional on the day of the wedding. His wife, Mouse, is delightful, and she acted as somewhat of a mediator when things were not getting communicated clearly between us and DJ Roo. I would recommend him if you want a budget-friendly DJ who will do your wedding the way you want it done, but I would caution you to be prepared for some interesting interactions ahead of time.

Dj Roo was awesome! We were in constant communication, he was extremely upbeat and flexible and you can tell he genuinely likes what he is doing. My husband and I wanted to work a couple of silly bits into the mix to keep thing entertaining and Roo was totally up for it! He is definitely one of the best wedding Dj's I have ever heard and an absolute pleasure to work with.

DJ Roo was great!! He really listened to our needs and gave us a great ceremony and party! He was so helpful during the music selection process. We really had no idea what we wanted, and he just read our personalities and showed us the perfect music. He's good for all audiences too. Very sensible and appropriate for a big family event. We had SO much fun at our reception! DJ Roo works up a program for the night so you know exactly what is going to happen. He announces all the important events and people. It was just perfect! And he loves to have a good time! He even got up and taught the crowd a few line dances that they didn't know! And for an UNBEATABLE price!

DJ Roo is a Wonderful DJ. We would highly recommend him for a wedding or any other event where you'd like your guests to have a memorable time. Roo's wife Mouse serves as a coordinator during wedding receptions And helps everything run smoothly. In addition to being great at his job, DJ Roo is economical. His price won't break the bank, and your guests will have a fantastic time. A word to the wise: trust his advice. I was reluctant to incorporate two of his guest ions into our reception, but I was so glad I changed my mind because they were the biggest hits of the party!

Roo and his wife Mouse did an amazing job making our night special. From surprising us with "Hail to the Redskins" to those specail dances that kept the night going. Our guest and us had a great time thanks to DJ Roo and his wife.

DJ Roo did an amazing job!! We danced all night and the music selections were awesome! I got married at The Rock Hill Plantation and they suggested DJ Roo to me. I trusted them because they hadn't steered me wrong anywhere in the wedding planning process and booked the DJ without even meeting him. We butted heads a few times during our initial meeting (1 month before the wedding) because I wanted some nontraditional music for the ceremony and he didn't think it would sound good. I appreciated that he was so good at his job that he felt comfortable telling me that some things wouldn't work, but we compromised and found some amazing song selections that everyone loved and he got many compliments on it all. He's very personable and knows how to keep a party going. Everything was PERFECT! I highly recommend him :)

I used his services to DJ my wedding reception. We met with Roo at his home a few weeks prior to the wedding and he went over every detail. He gave several suggestions that were helpful and things I hadn't thought of. When you book Roo, you also get someone who genuinely wants your wedding day to be wonderful. And he is by far the most reasonably priced DJ in the area!
