DJ Solstice

All the roses to this guy right here! My wife Rachael and I had our wedding at Aliso Viejo Wedgewood and DJ Solstice far exceeded my expectations and those of our guests! I spent excruciating days and hours combing the internet, listening to plenty of vlogs and samples from DJ after DJ, for anyone that can match the vibes my wife and I were seeking for our wedding and Matt absolutely delivered! He continued to work diligently with me as we worked through our vision for the wedding day and he was noting short of a consummate professional through the whole processes despite the obstacles, definitely worth every bit of time and budget we had set for him! Every single guest we had come up to us loved him from his transitions, to his control of the dance floor and vibes, and even his ability to MC was far above what we have experienced in other weddings! Not to mention all the lights, sounds, and CO2 cannons he brought out! Certainly at the grade and level he promised when we first met and more! We asked for an EDM Set and he gave us one way above anything we ever expected, and we've seen plenty! For a day we don't ever plan to replicate again in our lives, I'm glad my wife Rachael and I were able to share this day with Matt and his team and they have our highest recommendation we could give to anyone for ANY of your music genre needs! If you want an epic dance party at your wedding, this is your guy! We loved having DJ Solstice at our wedding, and we got SOOO many compliments on our DJ. He was communicative and speedy with his responses, and he honored all of our music requests (e.g., to not play too many overplayed wedding reception songs), while still showing us his skill and style. The photo booth and lighting were great too. We highly recommend!

One non-negotiable for our wedding: having DJ Solstice as our DJ. We even chose our wedding date based off his availability! Matt really understood the vibe we were going for which was alllllllll over the place lol (Hannah Montana, E40, One Direction, Morgan Wallen, David Guetta, NOTD, Cheat Codes, Gryffin, Backstreet Boys and so much more). He is so easy to work with and is very responsive. He is also sooo hype and really knows how to work the crowd. Our friends were talking about how lit, hype, and fun our DJ was. Felt like we were at a music festival. Many of them asked for the playlist! Highly recommend booking DJ Solstice for your wedding or next event! You will not regret it!

He was our MC/DJ, provided the photo booth, up lighting, and our neon sign. He provides WAY more, but our venue had restrictions and we could not utilize everything. This DJ really wants you and your guests to have a good time, and will go above and beyond to do so. Matt absolutely met every expectation and you can tell me loves his job. Now this next part is a HUGE example of a great DJ, and a terrible DJ, and why you want the great DJ... The Bad DJ- We went to a friend's wedding the week after our wedding, DJ'ed by someone else, and this DJ did not listen to my friend's requests at all! They provided him songs to play and he did not play even half of them. They love Frank Sinatra and had a few of his songs on the list. Their DJ played all the Sinatra songs back to back.. They did not know he would just press play and walk away and flirt with the coordinator the whole time. Second, they stated no song requests from guests, yet when guests walked up, he would play it! Later on we realized that we heard some of the same songs 2-3 times. The Great DJ (a.k.a) DJ Solstice- My Husband and I have a broad taste in music. We love Oldies, R&B, Rap, Club, Hip Hop, Alternative, Banda, Cumbia, Reggaeton, etc. And I was a very involved bride and made a playlist for each event and had every song picked for every moment, all very different. I sent DJ solstice all these playlists and he played every song we requested, and did it well. He abided by our must and do not playlists. His transitions were literally perfect. I've never been to a wedding and heard something like that before. Even with our broad taste in music, he was able to make everything flow so well. My husband loved it so much that he asked him if he could have the set list, which he did give us haha! Every song we requested for the ceremony, recessional, entrances, cake cutting, dances, last song, every request was fulfilled and on time. I danced with both of my dads and mother, and he was so accommodating to play each song just long enough as to not have the guests get bored with 3 different dances. Also, there was a particular Mexican line dance told him was a must and that he could not play it without me. When he decided it was right to play the song, he made sure to call the Bride over the mic so I didn't miss it! He would not let the song officially start until I go to the dance floor! Ugh we just loved Matt! The lighting elevated everything! It was in sync with the music perfectly and the colors were so vivid. We got our photobooth photos the next day! A month or so after the wedding our link expired and I was not able to download them, but Matt was very accommodating and resent the link to me. The photobooth was great and the photos came out bright and clear! My husband is 6'1 and hates having to crouch for photos, but the booth was adjustable and made it so easy for taller guests and big groups! You get to pick your own template and text. And for the neon sign you get to pick the type of lighting, and color, and comes with a mount and a remote for when you take it home. We had multiple guests come to us at different times during the night to say their goodbye's, but then 30 minutes, 45 minutes, an hour later, we would still see them on the dance floor! I walked up to them and asked "I thought you were leaving?" Their response: "We couldn't leave, these songs are too good." Thank you again for everything Matt, and for being a part of making our day perfect.

DJ Solstice was amazing! We immediatley booked him for our wedding, and he did above and beyond for our wedding. He communicated with us any updates and made planning so easy, our wedding guests cant stop raving about the enviroment he created at our wedding! And the CO2 gun is a must for anyone who is on the fence about it!

My husband and I absolutely LOVED having Matt (DJ Solstice) play at our wedding!! He was so awesome to work with during the planning process, answering any and all questions we had promptly and professionally. I mean, what other vendor can you text at all hours and they respond right away? Matt kept the energy high throughout the reception, which was a huge task considering it was 100 degrees with limited shade. However, once we got to dancing he turned it up again and it was one INSANE dance party! I got so many compliments on the dance floor about how fun DJ Solstice was. One comment shouted over the music to me was my bridesmaids saying "YOUR WEDDING IS LIKE A CLUB" which is exactly what we wanted! I wanted the energy to be crazy on the dance floor and Matt truly delivered. The dance floor was packed all night, and guests of all ages - even my grandfather-in-law - were out there getting down. I 1000% recommend hiring DJ Solstice for your DJ, he's truly the best! The pictures speak for themselves, and he even captured content for us to share. Thank you so much for everything!

DJ Solstice was the perfect pick for our wedding. We met Matt at a Wedding Expo and he was very personable and knowledgeable about servicing weddings. He had an awesome set up that was visually appealing and great packaging options for events. He was also highly recommended on The Knot. DJ Solstice provides more than just music - he provided us with different lighting options, sparklers, and a custom LED sign with our last name which really set the environment and our wedding turned out beautiful! Matt was very responsive during the planning process. He was prompt and accommodating on any requests that we had for his service. He was a great MC for the night and kept a solid schedule of events following what our coordinator had sent to our vendors. The sparklers and CO2 guns were such a wonderful added touch - my husband and I were very happy with them. The guests LOVED the interactive touches to the night! We sent playlists/song requests to Matt which he played and added in his own mix and that worked out great! Matt nailed our Grand Entrance for the lighting, music, and vibe - he pumped up the crowd! The dance floor was full of guests dancing the entire night - we had a blast! He knows how to read the crowd and set the energy for a fun time.
