If I could give DJ Spence 10 billion stars and a high five I would. He absolutely crushed it at our wedding reception. We and our guests LOVED him. There is a lot of pressure booking a good DJ - but if you are looking for one in the Asheville, NC or surrounding area, this is your guy. He kept our dance floor packed for hours, read the crowd for changing up the tempo, and respected our do not play list. You might even catch him on the dance floor for a second. He made the planning super simple and on our own time with (a clearly very refined and experienced) google doc that made us think about things we hadn't even considered. On our pre-event call with him, he suggested some alterations to the order of events to keep the flow of the event smooth. On the actual day, he was calm (but hype), reassuring, and ready to start the festivities. He did a great job directing the guests, setting up for our speeches, and keeping everyone happy. All around, he is an awesome DJ, emcee, and a genuinely fantastic person too! Our night could not have been so memorable/fun/special without Spencer!!! He also comes with 2 booming speakers, microphones, and a great light setup!

rk! For our reception, we gave him the description of “sweaty high school gym dance” and boy, was he the epitome of “say less”. We still get compliments to this day (almost 3 years later) about how fun our wedding was! Not only did he slay the playlist, he was such a wonderful emcee and kept everything so organized and light-hearted. Spencer listened to everything we needed and wanted to make our day perfect. The perfection was largely in part to Spencer’s dedication to his skill. We can’t thank him enough!

When we had to pivot our reception space because of a pop-up thunderstorm, he didn't work well with our venue contact to make changes. And despite the several meetings we had prior to our ceremony, he messed up our first dance and our speeches, two of the most important pieces of our night. Otherwise, our playlist was great and our guests had a wonderful time dancing. But it's hard to overlook the mistakes he made when they could have been avoided.
