I’m Stephen, a professional musician and wedding DJ based in the Triangle. I’ve spent my career working in music, both performing and teaching, which has shaped the way I approach weddings. I care deeply about how music supports a moment, how energy builds over the course of a night, and how thoughtful planning leads to an experience that feels natural and effortless.

When I DJ a wedding, everything is customized. From ceremony and cocktail hour through the final song of the reception, I work closely with each couple to understand their musical taste, guest mix, and overall vision. Rather than relying on preset playlists or generic wedding formulas, I curate music intentionally so each part of the day flows smoothly into the next.

I regularly DJ weddings throughout Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill and am comfortable working in a wide range of venues, from intimate spaces to larger event settings. In addition to music, I provide ceremony audio, wireless microphones, and simple, tasteful lighting designed to enhance the room without overwhelming it.

In addition to my work as a DJ, I’m a professional composer and musician with multiple degrees in music, including a Ph.D. in Music Composition from Duke University. My music has been performed by professional artists worldwide, and I bring that same passion and attention to detail to every event I DJ.
