If you're looking for someone who really listens to what you want, instead of playing just the same 30 songs you hear at every wedding, Josh is your DJ. The music selection process is easy - in addition to check-in calls and zooms, he uses an app, so you can build you can craft the perfect playlist ahead of time. We both really enjoyed adding songs to our app throughout the planning process. But the best was actually hearing the way he was able to combine so many of our favorite songs for our reception party. He had all our of guests (ages ranging from 10 to over 80 years old) dancing all night long. Our first comment from friends the day after our wedding was about how fun they had on the dance floor and how great the music was! I also think its important to add that Josh handled our wedding ceremony music, cocktail music, dinner music and sparkler exits as well- he provided mics, sounds systems, everything we needed, and all of those were executed perfectly. He was on time for set-up, very respectful of the rules/guidelines in places at our historic venue, and he collaborated really well with our other vendors to make sure everything looked and sounded perfect. Also he is just the nicest guy- really responsive on email and genuine- which was so, so appreciated during tho last few chaotic months of wedding planning. 10/10 - highly recommend.

ing where we were able to ask questions, get to know him, and go over the wedding app that his company utilizes to arrange the music and day. (Side Note: the wedding app was a Godsend! It allowed you to import songs from Spotify or Apple Music or Youtube so you could get the exact version of the song you wanted and let you select each song for the segment that you wanted with comments (i.e. stopping the first dance after a minute and half, etc.) and generates a PDF which was helpful to all our vendors. Although Josh was not our day-of DJ, he made sure to come early to our venue to help Xander set-up all of the DJ equipment/accessories. This showed me Josh’s dedication and true ownership of his company and product, Thank you Josh! As for our day-of DJ, Xander did a spectacular job in making sure the music and audio for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were in sync and continuous. He played all of the songs that we had personally requested and was professional and responsive to all of our questions and needs. I cannot express how much I would recommend Josh and Xander for someone’s next event. Thank you for making our wedding as amazing and memorable as it was, we couldn’t have done it without you!

His transitions were exceptional and his sparkling personality made everything fun. He also adapted well to the level of formality that we wanted--we had a black tie optional affair, and he made sure everything was in line with our vision. capable of and a waste of our money. So we stressed to DJ Topedo and DJ Tabasko that it was important to us that the DJ actually mix the music, the way you might hear a DJ mix in a dance club. DJ Tabasko definitely followed through on that and it was much appreciated! There were a few slip ups like he didn’t make an announcement that we were going to do the table picture race so a handful of guests were in the bathroom when that happened. And he cut the music for the father-daughter-family dance about 15 seconds before I wanted him to. (This was actually a learning moment for me and advice I would pass to anyone else planning a wedding , I reviewed my communication with DJ Tabasko and I said I wanted almost the whole song played instead of offering an exact time code , so this slip up falls on me as well. Clear and concise communication is a must for wedding planning.) And the dancing on the cloud didn’t seem like a lot of “cloud” but maybe I was just caught up in dancing and the video will prove otherwise. On the other hand, we threw him a few curve balls that he was able to handle. I added on a screen and projector about a week before the wedding for a surprise video message for my husband and DJ Tabasko expertly handled that. And about an hour and half into open dancing, our wedding planner noticed that a good portion of my husband’s family wasn’t dancing so she asked what would get them dancing and my husband said probably other genres of Latin music like merengue and salsa, we had previously only highlighted bachata and reggaeton music to the DJ. Our wedding planner went to DJ Tabasko and told him that and he played some new music and it did get some of the family members up on the dance floor. I appreciated his flexibility in the moment. Even with the few mistakes, I would still recommend the company as a whole and DJ Tabasko individually. Everyone was professional, the planning app was easy to use and the pricing was reasonable.

he table picture race section didn't have an announcement mentioned. Despite this- after speaking with DJ Heath, he told me that he did indeed announce the table picture race. After all, one of our roles as wedding DJs is to be the MC (Master of Ceremonies) and make announcements throughout the night. It's possible that DJ Heath made the table race announcement while some guests were talking with one another (and not listening) or in the bathroom. Due to your comment stating, "he [DJ Heath] didn't make an announcement that we were going to do the table picture race so a handful of guests were in the bathroom when that happened". We have made a new section in our music planning app about announcements for ALL future weddings. In the future, clients must tell us what announcements to make and what time to make them. Of course, we can't always control if guests are in the bathroom during an announcement. We also have limited control if guests continue whispering to their neighbors after we've repeatedly asked everyone to give us their full attention. Please note that we will document all announcements in our music planning app to all future clients reading this review, so we don't have this type of miscommunication again. Speaking of documentation, you originally stated that DJ Heath cut the father-daughter dance 15 seconds short. However, thank you for updating your review recently and admitting that you were at fault for not giving us an exact time to fade out the song in the app. DJ Heath was very confused when I asked him about cutting the father-daughter dance 15 seconds short... later, to find out that you didn't provide a specific time code. Therefore, saying "it was cut 15 seconds short" was false. We all agree clear and concise communication is a must for wedding planning, which is why we offer our music planning app! Future clients reading this review... please make sure you fill out our app accurately with all the correct information so there is zero miscommunication. We're not a fan of curveballs. I believe that I (DJ Topedo) am partially at fault for not emphasizing the importance of ensuring that every detail is mentioned in the music planning app. For that, I want to apologize publically to you, Natalie. We are doing an additional mandatory two-week final review follow-up call for all future weddings. We need to make sure everyone is on the same page :) Glad to hear that you appreciated DJ Heath's flexibility during the wedding as well! As wedding DJs, we always have to be ready for anything! straight forward with his app and any accommodations that needed to be made were simple and easy to request. Having a good DJ was one of, if not the most important, detail of our day. We wanted to make sure guests were dancing and having a great time. He read the crowd amazingly and was able to get everyone hyped and dancing the whole night. We didn't want the night to end! e night to go with certain genres/flow and he executed this plan perfectly, showing his range in genres, ability to read the crowd and to capture exactly what his clients envisioned. Additionally, we were very pleased with his uplighting, announcing of bridal party/dances/etc., and overall value added to our evening.
