Originally from Kearney, Nebraska. Joey graduated High School from Kearney High and made his way to San Diego, California. His music career kicked off by landing a full-time drumming position. Drumming took Joey to Los Angeles where he continued with his career as a professional drummer and discovered the world of music production / Djing. Joey began Djing in the local LA scene and shortly after landed a full-time position with Carnival Cruise Lines as the ships Pro DJ. Joey Dj'd the seven seas from 2017 into 2020. During that time his time off the ships was spent DJing weddings in the Southern California area.

DJ Joey Moon was absolutely amazing! From our first conversation with him, we could tell he genially cared about making our wedding special and making our vision come to life! We wanted everyone to be on the dance floor all night, and that’s exactly what we got. He was so energetic, fun, and professional. So easy to work with and made it extremely stress-free. We had so many compliments about him the night of and after the fact. So many people told us this was one of their favorite receptions because of the music and vibes!! Thank you Joey Moon! Joey was AMAZING! In the planning/prep phase he was a good communicator, calling/texting/emailing back quickly. He has a very positive upbeat attitude in all of the conversations. At the reception the vibes were immaculate. He took what we wanted and read the room to create such a fun atmosphere! He picked songs that kept people on the dance floor all night long! So many people complimented him after! Highly recommend!

Joey is incredible! I have never experienced a DJ like him. We were lucky enough to book Joey for our Vegas wedding - Joey has the best energy and really knows how to read the room. Myself and my husband have slightly different music tastes and Joey blended the genres perfectly. Joey made us feel confident before the wedding as he answered all our questions and checked in with us on the lead up. All of our guests commented on how amazing Joey was. Highly recommend!

We cannot say enough good things about Joey. From start to finish everything was well organized. He listened and made great recommendations for the flow of the evening.
He made the bride and groom feel very special and DEFINITELY kept the dance floor rocking. Even took a few dance videos to share after.
He is also just an exceptionally nice guy! I wish we had used him for my first daughter’s wedding. I would highly recommend him for any event. We will definitely use him for our next wedding —-

Booking DJ Joey Moon was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our first meeting back in January, we knew we had to book him for our wedding. Joey was incredibly detail-oriented, professional, and easy to talk to, which made the entire planning process stress-free. We immediately felt confident that we could trust him with the biggest party of our lives—and he delivered above and beyond. Our reception was amazing and exactly what we envisioned. Guests raved all night saying it was the best DJ and dance party they’d ever experienced, and even the venue manager told us it was the best dance floor and DJ performance they had seen at the venue. Joey kept the night flowing effortlessly—from the perfect music selections to smooth transitions and an energy that kept everyone on the floor. Joey was so genuine throughout the whole process and made sure our day was tailored perfectly to what we wanted. We feel extremely lucky he was available for our date and we would hire him 1,000 times over!

DJ Joey Moon was everything we hoped for and more. We knew we needed someone who could blend two cultures, multiple music styles, and a wide range of guests — and from the very beginning, Joey just got us.
My biggest request was that the dance floor stayed full all night… and he absolutely delivered. The vibe was unreal — high energy, seamless transitions, and music that brought everyone to their feet. He read the room perfectly and created a party we’ll never forget.
Now, a month later, we’re still getting texts from guests saying how amazing our DJ was and how FUN and “lit” our reception turned out. Joey truly helped make our night unforgettable.

I cannot say enough good things about DJ Joey Moon. From the second we met him virtually, we knew he was the right person to emcee and DJ our wedding.
He has an incredible bedside manner and will review your musical tastes and make strong suggestions for the event. Going into our special day, we felt at ease that this important decision was made correctly.
It's an understatement to say that he killed it. The music was great, and he knew how to get the party going. We had a family member, a DJ himself, do a set during the wedding, and the handoff back-and-forth went seamlessly. But, again, I cannot state how electric he made the party; we've gotten countless messages saying that this was the most dancing they've ever done at a wedding.
The only reason why we wouldn't want to write this review is because we want him all to ourselves for any future party we throw in Las Vegas. But that would be unfair to Joey. You should not think twice about hiring him. Genuinely great guy who will make your wedding, birthday party, corporate event, etc., a huge hit.
We will for sure hit him up next time we're in Vegas, just because he's that great of a guy. Clearly, we cannot recommend him highly enough.

Joey DJed our wedding on 10/26 and did absolutely amazing! We got so many compliments about how great and engaging he was. Joey did such a great job to keep people on the dance floor and engaged and did such a good job with all the music! We truly believe he is the best DJ out there for your wedding. He will make everything flow with ease and make sure everyone and of all ages has a blast and gets on the dance floor!

DJ JOEYMOON made the top of our list for favorite vendors! He asked us how we wanted our guest to remember/say about our wedding reception. We said “we want their feet to hurt and think wow they really love eachother” and he did just that for you! He matched our diverse music choices perfectly and really matched what he played to our crowd and what songs they were also requesting! We got told by many many guests that our DJ was amazing and that we threw one he** of a dance party!!

My husband and I chose DJ Joey Moon to DJ and MC our wedding reception. From the very first phone call all the way up to our wedding day, he was energetic, professional, and genuinely excited for the celebration of our union. We gave him a playlist so that he would know our musical taste, but also trusted him to read the room and change things up when needed. He did an absolutely phenomenal job. Many of our guests have reached out to us telling us how much fun they had, how much they danced, and how much they enjoyed the DJ. He made sure our timeline did not fall behind as well. He provided smooth transitions from to the cake cutting to the speeches and bouquet toss making sure there were no awkward lulls. We won’t forget the care he put into making our day so special. Absolute knockout DJ in every aspect. He was professional, communicated well, and made sure every detail was exactly how we envisioned. He made the wedding planning process and wedding day a breeze. He did our ceremony and reception and both were outstanding. The music was always right where it was suppose to be and he was great on the mic; never talked to much or too little. On top of all that he was an absolute blast and everyone of all ages had the BEST time!

We booked DJ Joey for our wedding and could not have been more happy with his service, professionalism and energy! It started with our first meeting, Joey took the time to ask us questions and was extremely personable. My fiancé couldn’t make the meeting and he even offered a second meeting the week of the wedding to ensure everything was perfect.
The day of the wedding, Joey didn’t miss a beat! He did a great job hitting all our song cues for our ceremony and brought incredible energy for our grand entrance and got everyone excited! Our venue was spaced out and he worked hard to move speakers around discreetly to ensure dinner and the dance floor had great sound. Also, Joey made sure to finish releasing tables and was the last vendor to eat a meal and was so gracious when we checked in to make sure he would take a break.
The music was great and our dance floor was packed all night long, thanks to Joey! He had a great range of music and included both our cultures and traditions seamlessly. My husband is Lebanese and Joey made sure the Arabic music sets of the night were flawlessly incorporated. At one point, He even gave my friends and I a mic to sing along to our favorite Taylor swift song, which is a new core memory of mine.
Joey has a great attitude, is friendly and can hype up any crowd! We’d highly recommend him for any wedding or event.

We had an annual event at our CrossFit Gym. DJjoeyMoon arrived on time with a smile and high energy, had a professional great looking set up, and did exactly what we needed him to do and way more!
He was able to read the room and rock it out! Plus he’s the coolest, fun person you’ll meet. The music and flow of the event was perfect.
He deserves 10 stars, I’ve hired DJs before. You will be satisfied with Him! I can’t recommend him enough.

From the start of the party, he had the dance floor on fire, spinning tunes that had everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, grooving and having the time of their lives.
DJ Joey Moon knew exactly how to keep the energy high, transitioning from one track to another, making sure there wasn't a single dull moment. The vibe he created was exactly as we had imagined for our wedding night. What blew us away was Joey's ability to understand our vibe and preferences throughout the evening. He curated a playlist that felt like it was tailor-made for us from our ceremony to our cocktail hour and receptions, and finally the after party of our dreams.
Apart from that, he took several candid videos throughout the night that he shared with us, which were all the more special for us to look back on whole we were busy dancing the night away. DJ Joey! We cannot recommend Joey as your wedding DJ enough. When we say he went ABOVE AND BEYOND - it would be an understatement. We had an outdoor wedding venue in Vegas on Labor Day weekend of 2023 - if you were in the area, you know there was torrential downpours and flash flooding. There was a lot of confusion and stress at the venue in the hour leading up to the reception to get us to location that was protected from the rain. During this, Joey kept a positive attitude and moved his equipment multiple times across several floors to be flexible. The weather ended up cooperating after making a game time decision, Joey threw up some umbrellas just in case to protect his equipment, and then he was ready to party. We had compliments all night on our wedding DJ, how much fun he was, and how great the music was. As a songwriter and producer myself, it was important to me that we had a true DJ and musician, not just someone hitting next on a Spotify playlist. If this matters to you (it should!), he had amazing song transitions, was able to read the audience well, and kept people on the dance floor the entire night. He got on a Zoom call with us across several timezones beforehand to run through our exact plans, made sure to play the hits but also songs that were special to us, and kept the energy alive until the very end. Thank you so much Joey for making our wedding an unforgettable rooftop party. We're super grateful to you and can't wait to hire you for our 10 year anniversary party!
