Hi! I’m DJ Mark , aka The RunMC. I’m a United States Marine who was honorably discharged right here in beautiful San Diego. Needless to say, I decided to stay in San Diego after my contract ended. I started a business as a personal trainer, developing many different prevention-related initiatives and a dance fitness program for fitness. For many years I also worked hand in hand with underserved communities in the San Diego County area, providing these same services for free. Little did I know that my passion for health would lead to an exciting career as a nationally requested DJ and MC. My career shift started when I was invited to warm up thousands of runners for the Hollywood Half Marathon. It went so well that I was invited to do it again and again for many different events all over the country. I could have never guessed at the time that my ability to lead thousands of people with warm-up choreography, love for music, and energetic personality would allow for an easy shift into emceeing and DJing. Since my MC and DJ debut in 2008, I have traveled the nation hosting and DJing events both small and large. I DJ, emcee, host Weddings, Corporate, running/athletic, and Non Profit events of all kinds! I also excel at conferences, parties and interviews. We hired DJ Bryant to DJ our wedding of 130 people and he was great! Super professional, responsive throughout all the planning, and had a great set list. He has a background in instrumentals and really knows his music genres and how to create a great playlist for everyone to enjoy. 10/10 would recommend!

Mark was an awesome wedding DJ! From the start, he brought great energy and got the crowd involved with fun shout-outs like "make some noise!" and "how’s everyone feeling tonight?" This kept the party going and made the atmosphere lively. Mark also played all of our favorite songs and did a great job reading the crowd. He even freestyled a bit when the vibe was right, which kept things fresh and fun throughout the event. Mark was also helpful with facilitating wedding games and announcements. He made sure everything ran smoothly and on time. When we had to move the wedding indoors last minute and no longer needed to rent his projector screen, Mark was super understanding and worked with us to update our contract. His flexibility was genuinely appreciated. Mark was professional, easy to work with, and helped make our wedding day unforgettable. Highly recommend him if you’re looking for a DJ!

This is the best DJ in San Diego. DJ Mark did not miss a beat! He transformed our wedding reception with music, lighting, sparklers, and a photobooth. We highly recommend DJ Nathan from DJMC Events Consortium as a wedding DJ! He was wonderful to work with from start to finish! He took the time to get to know us and our music preferences right from the get go and also took into account our wedding guest makeup to ensure every song he played would be a hit! We had a DJ portal where we could input ceremony songs, cocktail hour and dinner music selections, do not play songs, play if possible songs, and the must plays. Nathan made sure to touch base with us as well our wedding coordinator closer to the wedding day to run through the entire day’s schedule. He was punctual, professional, prepared, and got the vibe exactly right for each part of our day. We appreciated his mic presence which was effective in the right moments and in no way over the top, exactly what we wanted. He played our first dance song and parent dance songs from the precise start and finish points we requested. During the open dancing, he was flexible in playing songs requested in the moment by our guests and mixing everything seamlessly. We had so much fun! We are so happy we picked Nathan to be our wedding DJ and we recommend him highly for your wedding or special event!

From start to finish, working with DJMC Event Consortium was nothing short of amazing. Our wedding was a little bit different in that we set up on top of a rock in a national forest, this required some flexibility from our vendors and DJMC Event Consortium was incredibly helpful. They answered all our questions and helped us think through the best options for us, keeping our best interest in mind the entire time. Not only that, but DJ Bryant was so friendly, professional and just all around amazing. He listened to our music preferences and the unique set up of both our ceremony venue and our reception venue and executed all of it perfectly. We couldn't be happier with the outcome! We even had a last minute issue with a power source for the ceremony which he was fully prepared to step in and help with. Multiple guests told us it was the best audio for a ceremony they ever heard, which is extra impressive given the location and near technical issue! We also got the 4 hour photobooth and that was a huge hit with both adults and the children at our wedding. When they didn't have a backdrop we loved, they went above and beyond to find one that we would. And they brought a bunch of props! Thank you for everything, DJMC and DJ Bryant!

DJ Nathan is the best! DJ Mark was simply amazing and truly made our wedding unforgettable! From start to finish, he kept the dance floor packed and brought incredible energy. He has a real talent for reading the crowd and choosing the perfect songs that had everyone up and dancing until the very end. As an emcee, DJ Nathan was fantastic—he ran the show seamlessly, and we could relax knowing everything was in his hands. We gave him only a few "must play" songs, and in hindsight, it was the best decision. DJ Nathan knows how to read the room and make those music choices that really fit the moment, so let him get creative—you won’t be disappointed! I’m super picky (oops), and he didn’t let me or my husband down at all. We also didn’t want our “special moments” dances to play the entire song, and he timed those cuts perfectly! I can't recommend him highly enough—10/10!

Great company; everybody loved dj mark! Communicating with the company was very easy, always answered my questions so quickly. Website that they used to plan songs and timeline was also easy to use and straightforward. DJ Mark was incredible. Everybody loved him. He was so amazing to work with. Especially when he was doing the dash game and the bring me game, everybody was laughing and having so much fun. He really knows how to get everybody up and dancing. He even showed people how to do the Cupid Shuffle on the dance floor for those who didn’t know how to. We had an incredible night and we are so thankful for mark!

He brought the energy and enthusiasm from our first consultation over the phone and it did not waver until the end of the last song at the wedding a year later! During our last meeting, he was extremely cognizant of the wide variety of cultural backgrounds and made sure that everyone felt included which we appreciated so much. DJ Mark was able to accommodate our wide range of song requests seamlessly and read the vibe of the party correctly at every turn! Whether it was warming the party up during cocktail hour with emo music, starting the party with our parents on the dance floor with some 80s classics and cumbia, directing the Cupid shuffle by joining on the dance floor himself, or even turning the wedding into a rave, DJ Mark exceeded all expectations! Besides the amazing energy he brought to the dance floor, he was able to emcee having last minute changes the itinerary as well as last minute venue change due to the rain. He made our day super special and guests could not stay off of the dance floor! tldr: DJ Bryant exceeded our expectations. For our wedding, we wanted to ensure everyone had a good time. When asking our friends, we were told finding a great DJ tends to make or break how well a wedding can be. So with a search, we found DJMC Events Consortium and were so glad we did. This veteran-owned company exceeded all our expectations. We had good communication throughout, we were able to customize a lot of things, and even coordination with our wedding coordinator was effortless (however, they also provide wedding coordination services as well). In particular, DJ Bryant was respectful and kind. His voice really defined our wedding event and he guided everyone so well. Prior to, he met with us a couple of times to get a feel for what we like, and nailed it during our wedding. His song choices were perfect and he transitioned from one song to the next seemlessly. I highly recommend him and the rest of the DJs from this company because they are not only great musicians, but they’re respectful and kind as well. Highly, highly recommend!

If you are looking for DJ/MC services for your event, look no further than The RunMC and DJ Mark Jones. They have the best prices in town, their team is fantastic, and they know how to work a wedding as seasoned professionals. We were honored to hire DJ Mark and The RunMC services for our wedding reception on 09/30/2023 at The San Diego Natural History Museum. Our reception was 4 hours long: 1 hour cocktail hour where guests could explore the 2nd level of the museum and participate in a scavenger hunt, followed by dinner/dancing on the 1st level. While MC'ing two floors may have been difficult for other MCs/DJs, especially since the guests spoke three different languages, DJ Mark ran the show amazingly. He ran our reception smoothly, hyped the party with his amazing vibes, and ensured that everyone had fun on the dance floor. One of the night's highlights was when DJ Mark got on the dance floor to teach the group how to do one of the line dances. All of our guests loved it, making many who had not thought about joining the dance floor get up so they could join him. We also used TheRunMC's photo booth for the dinner/dance portion of our wedding, and let me tell you, that photo booth was incredible. Our guests loved the props, and the lines moved fast, allowing many of the guests to return and take more group pictures in the photo booth. Special thanks to Margaux as well, DJ Mark's assistant. We may not have met in person during the wedding planning process, but she was terrific - fast in communication, gave excellent planning advice, and was overall a great person to work with.

We had DJ Bryant come out for our event and he was amazing from the start! We collaborated prior to the event and he was so personable and had great energy. The night of the event, he was kind courteous friendly and definitely brought the fun, hype and excitement I was hoping for! Dj mark is the best! When we were considering who to have as our DJ for our wedding, we knew we had to have someone with a lot of experience since your DJ ultimately sets the tone for the whole wedding. We did a ton of research since we are from out of town, and we ultimately landed on DJ Mark. If you are considering DJ Mark, HIRE HIM!! He made our day feel so special and didn't miss a beat. He was communicative before the wedding to make sure we had everything we wanted, and the day of our wedding, he surpassed our expectations. DJ Mark or Bust! Our experience with Dancing DJ Productions made our wedding planning so much smoother. Payment was easy and affordable in my opinion. We really loved having full access during the planning process to choose our playlists for the big day from cocktail hour, dinner, must plays, and do not play. Our minds changed several times about music as time went on, and it was so easy to make the changes on our end. We really enjoyed DJ Mark’s energy, similar music taste as well as his versatility in music, and kindness as he checked in with us and made sure our wants were met. Bryant was professional, communicated well, and made our wedding day perfect! Leading up to our wedding day he repeatedly checked in with us and was available for all of my questions. He showed up early on our wedding day to go through the timeline and have plenty of time to set up. He had mics and great speakers. He was a perfect MC for the ceremony/cocktail hour. My wife and I had a difficult fusion of island music and mexican music and DJ mark made it flow seamlessly. He came dressed to impress with a good attitude. Would recommend it to anyone, there wasn't a single negative review we could think of.

Mark Jones was an incredible DJ! We had told him that dancing was important to us and that we wanted to make sure people were on the dance floor and he delivered! Everyone was dancing from young to old and it was truly great. We got compliments after the wedding about how great our DJ was. He even got on the dance floor with us at one point for the Cupid Shuffle. He was truly awesome!!

We couldn't be happier with DJ Mark! Their communication throughout was professional and proactive - it really felt like they were on top of things. DJ Mark made it a point to schedule calls with us to discuss the vibe we were hoping for, and was totally on point during the wedding. DJ Mark made our big day that much better with his energy and personality last weekend! After the second dinner ended, the dance floor was full for the next few hours with all our guests (of all ages). He didn't make the day about him (as we have seen wedding DJs do at other weddings) but he catered to our requests and needs PERFECTLY. The photobooth team we hired through this same company was also incredible! There is no other company to look for if you need a DJ for your wedding. Thank you guys for making our big day a blast!

DJ Mark was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. Communication was simple and his response were prompt. We provided him a large playlist of songs for the day and indicated which ones we wanted at specific points in the night, for the ones we weren't too sure, we let him decide where to play them. We also asked for very high energy introductions and we got high energy all night! On the day of, things progressed smoothly and he checked in on us throughout the night to make sure things were going as planned or if we wanted to make any adjustments to the timeline. The music was great and plenty of people were on the dance floor. I had made some requests for specific songs to be immediately played and he transitioned to them without any issues!

DJ Mark was the best!! He had the dance floor going all night for us. I especially loved that he came out to lead us in the Cupid shuffle so we knew what to do. He was also dressed to impress, which I really appreciated. Hire these DJs. The price is fair and they are super easy to work with. By the time the wedding was close, I was over making critical decisions and they make the process so easy and stress free. Highly recommend!

Dj Nathan was AMAZING!!! I can’t say enough good things about him! Loved that he was so in tune with our timeline and our theme (Harry Potter) and played every genre of music we asked for! His timing during the ceremony and reception for every song transition was superb! He was so upbeat, happy and just really helped make all the moments even more magical!

DJ Mark and his team are attentive and kind. They are the only vendor I worked with who were very easy to get in touch with, and even pushed me to be prepared for the big day. DJ Mark took the information we shared about music preferences and guest's age groups and SHOWED UP with a playlist that stole the show. Mark did so much more than DJ our event. He checked on us. He made sure the timeline was being followed. And he looked good while doing it. Do not hesitate, HIRE MARK!
