DJs catering was perfect! They were an amazing value for the Santa Barbara area. They clearly have a lot of experience with local venues. Their process ahead of the wedding was easy and their team was very attentive. They clearly have a lot of experience and guided us during our planning process to make all the right choices. We got almost all our rentals through them and it all worked as planned. The food was amazing! We enjoyed all of the passed hors devours, specialty cocktails, and full dinner. The staff was friendly and professional, they were great to work with. All of our guests raved about the food.

The absolute best catering in California!! Big portions. Delicious options. Very easy to work with! We wish we could eat their food on a weekly basis!!

My husband and I had our wedding at Rancho De Las Palmas this past Friday and DJs California Catering is their preferred catering vendor and after the experience we had I totally understand why. DJs catering staff was extremely attentive, professional, and so easy to work with plus the food was absolutely delicious. Our guests loved the buffet style and raved about the bartenders and how good the drinks were. The whole process of working with DJs catering from initial tasting to finalizing the menu and all of the smaller details was such a breeze. We highly recommend DJs catering for your next event.

Doug and his team are simply amazing. Finding a caterer that is within budget but can allow you to have a full plated menu is tough without compromising - or so I thought! Dj’s was simply the best. We had our wedding planner highly recommend them and we were not disappointed. Our guest were blown away with the food and there were so many good options to choose from. I have to say, we put off a caterer as its a daunting task and most of the budget depends on it, but it was so easy to work with Doug and his team. We appreciate all the backend work that went into our day as we had our wedding in a museum - but it went off without a hitch thanks to their expertise. I must say, opt for the full bar option, you will not be disappointed! Thank you all!

The best food and best catering company to work with!! Finding the right catering service can feel so overwhelming because how the food turns out, is definitely something all your guests remember. DJ's California Catering delivers the BEST wedding food. Our guests are still raving about the pasta!!! Doug, Lauren, and team were the best. They were patient and kind and we especially appreciated how detailed their proposal was. From our tasting to the day of, they were professional and incredible to work with. They accommodated special requests we had for a few guests and were just friendly and responsive overall. Any answer you have or change you need to make, Doug and team are ready to listen and help make it happen! They provide rentals, great customer service, and above all, delicious food!! They were familiar with our venue (which doesn't have a full kitchen) and delivered the best dinner to our guests. I can't recommend DJ's California Catering enough! Doug and his team were absolutely amazing! We initially narrowed our choices for a catering company down to two, DJ's being one of them. When we attended both tastings, DJ's was hands-down the clear winner. Everything we selected to taste was drool-worthy, and prepared and plated to perfection. The planning process with Doug was extremely smooth and easy. He was readily accessible and responsive, and accommodated our numerous personal requests - from adding empanadas and watermelon refreshers to our menu to serving lychee martinis as one of our signature drinks. Doug made sure that he and his team delivered whatever was necessary to bring our dream wedding to life! The day of our wedding couldn't have been more perfect! We chose a buffet style dinner and were so impressed that Doug's team was able to serve our ~150 guests in less than 15 minutes! Not only is DJ's efficient, their food is also stellar. We topped off our night with a churro dessert bar, which was a huge hit! Till this day, our guests still rave about Doug's team and how amazing the food tasted.

I had the pleasure of working with Doug from DJ’s Catering for our wedding reception in October 2021. He was professional and easygoing. Doug was easy to reach when I had questions (some vendors don’t respond in a timely manner) and very patient in answering all of my questions and concerns. DJ’s Catering pricing is reasonable and they worked with our budget. His team arrived to the venue on time and took care of everything. The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was flawless. Our guests still comment on the quality of the food! I will use DJ’s Catering for any other events.

We hired DJ's for our wedding at Gerry Ranch. They were one of Gerry's exclusive vendors and working with them was a breeze. We had to postpone our 2020 wedding to 2021 due to the pandemic, and DJ's was accommodating. So many guests complimented the food, the bartender service, the s'mores bar, and even the display. Service was great and everything was beautifully put together.

We LOVED working with DJ's for our wedding. They were really supportive in helping us postpone our wedding and we easy to work with overall. Communication was timely, items were addressed quickly, and we had full faith in them to run our wedding day seamlessly. And not for nothing....their food is INCREDIBLE! We had rave reviews from all of our guests about how much they enjoyed our taco bar at the wedding. Can't recommend DJ's highly enough!

Working with DJ’s was one of the best decisions we made when it came to planning our wedding. They have an extensive menu with so many options that it was hard to pick just a few, but once we had our tasting, we knew that anything we chose would be delicious! They were very understanding when we had to cancel and reschedule our wedding due to Covid and provided lots of advice and recommendations along the way. Doug also ensured that all of our specific needs were met and was absolutely amazing to work with. The fact that they offer event rentals on top of catering is not only convenient, but ensured that the entire setup and breakdown process went as smoothly as possible. Our team of bartenders and servers was extremely polite and attentive and checked in with my husband and me throughout the evening to ensure that everything was running smoothly and to see if we needed anything. We had brought a special sour beer for my husband and me to drink during the wedding speeches and the bartender remembered this little detail and secretly brought it over to us. We were so grateful that he remembered, because amongst all of the excitement, we certainly didn’t! Thank you Doug, for being so wonderful to work with, for providing delicious food and beautiful rental options, and for having such an attentive and hard-working team. We enjoyed every minute of our wedding and our guests raved about the food and dessert selections. We certainly look forward to working with you again in the future!

Such a breath of relief. The staff are all so wonderful and pleasant to set everything up. They are a full catering service, which was amazing to get everything from the chairs to the bartenders all together. They captured my vision and were flexible with substitutes. It has been 2 months from our wedding and we are still getting thriving reviews on how AMAZING the food was.

I have never been to a wedding with better food and were so excited that it was our wedding! We got so many compliments on the food and service. We did buffet style with grilled chicken and tritip with vegetables and mac and cheese for sides and the Rustica salad. The mac and cheese was so good that people were putting some in their cups to take home for later!

Doug and his team went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect. They were amazing to work with - readily available by phone or email. We wanted to bring in some appetizers from a different restaurant, because it was special to my husband and me, and they accommodated us, no problem. Everything that they made was delicious and served beautifully. It was such a gift, to be able to trust that DJs would make everything look so elegant. Our guests are still - four months later -talking about how delicious the food was at our wedding - it was the best!

I had my wedding at Rancho de las Palmas in Moorpark and DJ's is their house caterer. They did such an amazing job on all the food and everyone was super impressed! They also offered to host the ice cream bar and it was such a hit! We did a buffet style and the presentation of everything was absolutely beautiful. As far as appetizers, the mini quesadillas were a huge hit and of course the open bar with the added craft beers went over really well. They offer lots of different options for the open bar that helped us stay within our budget. All the staff on the day of the event were very professional as well and the caterer even sent the groom and I home with to go boxes! The only thing was that I forgot to ask them to save the sugar flowers from my wedding cake and those were thrown out when it was cut. Make sure to communicate! I also assumed that they would leave cake for the bride and groom on the head table as they had done for dinner when they plated it for us, but by the time we both thought of it and broke away from the dance floor all the cake was gone and the ice cream was put away. Otherwise, they did a phenomenal job and everyone loved it.

My husband and I got married in July at Gerry Ranch in Camarillo, and cannot stop raving about Doug and DJ's catering! Every guest I spoke too was gushing over the food, ease of retrieving drinks, kind servers, and the list goes on! I planned my wedding for almost two years, and Doug was there for me from the very start. He accommodated and extremely early tasting, given we were moving abroad, and answered EVERY nuanced question I had quickly and with a great positive nature. I was grateful throughout the entire event knowing everyone so well taken care of and enjoyed every bite and sip from DJ's California Catering. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Doug and team!

We absolutely LOVED working with DJ's Catering. DJ's provided all of the rentals for not only our wedding reception, but also dance floor panels for our outdoor aisle runner at our ceremony, all of the necessities for our cocktail hour, and they knocked it out of the park. Everyone at the reception commented on how amazing the food was, and how they couldn't believe what a great caterer we had found. The service was wonderful, everything was served hot and fresh, and tasted wonderful. We will be recommending them to all of our friends and family, and using them for any of our events in the area again. No need to look anywhere else because DJ's is the best of the best!

I recently got married at the Camarillo Airport hangar, and I could not imagine having anyone else cater my wedding besides DJ's! Not only did they provide excellent food (I enjoyed the tasting so much that I did it twice as I wanted to try their whole menu), but they also provided great table, chair, and decorative rentals that transformed my industrial venue into a comfortable and romantic space for our guests. DJ's also helped us with a lot of the planning since I didn't have a wedding planner, so Doug helped me plan the whole schedule and floor layout, and the reception turned out absolutely perfect. Doug was a quick communicator and very professional and flexible, he incorporated our ideas while also pulling from his years of experience with events. The DJ's staff takes amazing care of you, I'm SO glad I had them do our wedding :) Thank you DJ's!

DJ’s was recommended to us by our wedding planner (XOXO Weddings) and was a perfect choice for us! I can totally see why they are a trusted vendor. They are patient, professional and we got so much for what we paid! We opted for their beautiful wine barrel served buffet tables, which were stunning! They provided us with everything necessary for our catering needs including non-alcoholic beverages, cloth napkins, and stainless silverware. We had a backyard wedding with a pool and couldn’t have any glass present, so they were happy to provide us with biodegradable palm leaf plates and plastic glasses. Further, they provided tables and chairs, a dance floor, space heaters, tables for our guest table and DJ, tablecloths (they have a wide range of colors and fabrics), and trash cans. Best part of all, they hauled away all the trash at the end of the night so my family wouldn’t have to deal with it! They even have other vendors that they work with if you want other services like table and chair upgrades, tents, etc. As for the food, we loved everything! They provided us with a delightful, complimentary tasting at their location in the cutest wedding decorated room. Afterwards, we had our first official meeting in their charming conference room, where they went over all our options and gladly worked with us to suit our needs. Service was splendid! They even provided passed hor d’oeuvres during cocktail hour. We were on a budget and couldn’t do a plated dinner, but didn’t want a casual serve-yourself buffet, so they provided servers at the buffet to meet both ideas in the middle. This was especially nice since one of our three entrees was a cut to order wood fired prime angus tri tip. The thing we loved most was that they provided us with bartenders as well, even though we provided our own alcohol. Let me tell you, DJ’s is going to save you so much time and money since they provide so many more services than amazing catering and you will not be disappointed!

Hands down the best catered food I have ever had! Big thank you to Doug and his staff at DJ’s California Catering for making my wedding the most of incredible experience. Let me start with how easy it was to book them. Doug was always available to talk. He made sure to keep in contact throughout the process. He made the experience as pain free as possible especially considering I was from out of state. Their staff went above and beyond the day of the wedding. The food was delicious, the alcohol even better! They even helped out with the flower and cake delivery. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you are looking for a caterer, DJ’s California Catering is the company to book! I’ll update my post later when I receive photos from my photographer of how beautiful they made the venue. This review is for our wedding which was held on January 6, 2018 at Malibu West Beach Club. DJ's came as one of our venue's recommended vendors, and that showed in how well they knew the venue! And though they were up against a couple of others when we started our search, we chose them based on the strength of the quickness and clarity of Doug and his team's replies--and I'm so happy we did! They were our one-stop shop and so they took care of all tableware, tables, cloths, bartending services (we were able to supply our own alcohol!!) and, of course, food! (!) WHAT WE GOT: Hors d'oeuvres: Ahi Tuba Poke on a Wonton Crisp; Sea Scallops wrapped with Bacon; Petite Mango and Avocado Baskets // Everything here was amazing--all three were solid choices and I still remember them to this day! Buffet Entrees: Grilled Angus Tri-Tip; Grilled Tilapia; Three Cheese Macaroni; Penne Mozzarella Pasta; Rustica Salad // The tri-tip!! So perfect and so tender. The three cheese macaroni deserves all the praise everyone else gave it. And the rustic salad--the delicious dressing paired so well with the smoked apples and gouda! Late Night Snacks: Kahlua Pork Sliders; Mini California Dog // Our guests loved these--and I'd give the edge to the mini California dog! (!) SERVICE: Amazing in every sense. Our tables and napkins looked picture-perfect. We're also happy that we were actually able to eat and enjoy our wedding food! DJ's staff worked with our coordinators and served us hors d'oeuvres after our ceremony. They also prepared plates for us for our entrees when the time came... and they even constantly checked up on us in case we needed anything! We literally wanted for nothing. (!) TIDBITS: Our tasting day was an experience in itself! We drove out to Ventura the morning after we landed in LAX and we were treated very well by Alexandra. Her refreshing positivity and hospitality made us feel energized again! She and Doug were also very clear in explaining everything and in making sure everything was good to go. Seriously hoping one of our friends gets married in Malibu too... and hoping they pick DJ's so we can have that tri-tip again!

Wedding planning was stressful enough, so trying to figure out a rentals, bar services, and food... on top of everything else, seemed impossible to do. However... Doug and his team delivered. They were our one-stop shop for tables, chairs, bar services, and catering services! They were professional from start to finish, reliable, super flexible, and easy to work with. Doug's prices were also very reasonable and competitive. We've been to a few weddings where the food was sub-par, so we wanted to make food one of our priorities. We also wanted to make sure he would allow us to serve roasted pig (which is a part of my culture), and he made it happen! He included that with our buffet table so long as we provided the pig. To this day, people raved about the drinks and food at our wedding, and we couldn't have been happier. Open bar was a MUST at our wedding, and instead of opting for full bar services, we supplied our own alcohol and had pre-made drinks. No regrets! All in all, his bar and wait staff did a phenomenal job serving 230+ guests. You can tell he's been in the business for a really long time, and loves doing it. He will make sure that everything is perfect for your wedding day/event, and more. If you're looking for great food, rental options, and bar services, this is your guy. Food was OUTSTANDING! So many compliments on the food from DJ's. We did buffet style at our wedding, but I wish I could go here for a regular meal from time-to-time. Great staff and management, easy to communicate with.

Loved DJ’s! Being able to do one stop shopping for tables, linens, chairs, and food made it so easy. Everyone loved the food! We even through DJ’s a curveball and asked them for items for cocktail hour they had never made and they pulled it off without a hitch! Also liked being able to provide our own alcohol to save a little money.

We had really positive experiences with all of our vendors, but working with DJ's was an absolute pleasure! They were HIGHLY responsive, working with them was a dream, their food was DELICIOUS, their staff were all friendly and courteous on the day of, and they are absolute PROS. They had done several receptions at our venue so when they came in on the day of, they knew exactly what to do and how to work the space. Our tasting was free and fed us like crazy - we were stuffed and had a great idea of what the menu was going to taste like. We couldn't stress enough how much we loved working with DJ's. They had a great price and were SUPER accommodating. We even had a cancellation two weeks before the wedding and they were able to adjust the numbers.

If you’re looking for a caterer that has amazing food, and does it all, look no further! DJ’s catering is absolutely top of the line, and their service is outstanding. Our Camarillo Ranch Wedding included an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, and a reception in the barn. DJ’s not only catered some of the best wedding food I’ve ever had, they also did ALL of the setup and breakdown for both the ceremony and reception. We also had them host our bar and that went smoothly and efficiently as well. Doug helped us with the planning process and tasting. He was super helpful and easy to work with, as were all of the DJ’s crew that helped the day of our wedding. I have not even one negative thing to say about the DJ’s, their food or the service we received! Thank you for helping us make our day perfect!

DJ's was the best choice we could have made for our wedding. Everyone was so professional and from the start, Doug was very detail oriented and made us feel so comfortable with the process. This was a one-stop shop for us, we were able to do all of our rentals from DJs along with the delicious food. Our favorite was the mac and cheese and pretzel rolls! Our guests were still talking about the meals months after our wedding. I couldn't have asked for a better team and the bartenders that we had at our wedding were fantastic! This was easily one of the best choices we made for our wedding.

Food was delicious. Staff was amazing. Doug (the owner) was easy to work with while planning. They are a one stop shop for all your reception needs (food, drinks, tables, chairs, linens, dinnerware) and take the stress the away from having to get a separate vendor for each. I just can't say enough great things about Doug and the whole team at DJ's Catering! They made the whole wedding craziness way more navigable...and delicious! From the initial contact, through the tasting process, and the ultimate event (everyone went for seconds...and thirds!), DJ's provided excellent service and was attentive to all our requests and needs. The day-of crew (piloted by Joey) was on point - unobtrusive but always right there when you needed them. Choose DJ's - you can't be in better hands (and will have rave reviews from all the guests on how wonderful the food is!).

We hired Doug for my younger sister's wedding reception after reading online reviews and getting wonderfully-priced quotes from him. After we had paid the deposit, we started hearing from other vendors what an awesome job he does... so cool to hear! We had an incredibly tight timeframe for being able to set up the reception and he was very willing to work with us to make sure everything would work well. He was very quick to answer emails and willing to answer the smallest question we had. We ended up not being able to do a tasting with him prior to the wedding.... and boy was the food good!!! We had wonderful comments from our guests. The wait staff was very attentive and did a great job. Thank you, Doug and Team, for helping make our sister's wedding a wonderful time for our guests and very sweet memory for us!

Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious. We constantly had guests coming up to us and telling us how great the food was. He thoroughly enjoyed it. They worked with multiple guests' dietary restrictions. They were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Cleared the plates quickly and even dealt with multiple broken glasses. The bartenders were friendly and fun! They also catered our rehearsal dinner the night before. We did a backyard BBQ. The food again was delicious! Hamburgers and hotdogs with all the condiments! The mac and cheese was amazing and the leftovers got consumed very quickly. Would highly recommend this company for future events!

DJ’s California Catering is AMAZING! From the minute John sent their proposal that broke down everything they could do for our event, we were impressed. Doug was able to provide all of the things we had dreamed of, including really random things like a popcorn machine to hand out popcorn, and all of it at the most incredible rate. He was so knowledgeable and brought to our attention things we would never have thought of. Between the tasting and the walk through of the venue, we could already see how professional they were - their attention to detail, experience and flexibility just made things that much easier for us! His staff, including Randy who was running the show that night, were so wonderful throughout the entire wedding, making sure the newlyweds were taken care of just as much as the guests and always with a smile. Our friends are still talking about their fantastic Mac and Cheese and Fried Chicken – and half of our family is from the South so you know it was the real deal! We are truly grateful to them for making our special day so memorable and stress-free. We cannot thank them enough for all of their hard work!

Where do I even start?!? I worked with DJ's for the catering for my wedding in Santa Barbara, and I could not be happier with everything! Doug the owner is so nice and professional, and we had many phone and in person conversations to iron out all the details. DJ's provided our food (which was SO delicious) and also all of our rentals. Everything turned out perfectly! I was also super impressed with our day of coordinator / head caterer Randi. She made sure everything was perfect, and made sure that my husband and I each had plates full of food and glasses full of drinks. I could not have been happier with DJ's and would recommend them in a heartbeat.

I was Matron of honor at a wedding this last weekend and DJs did such an amazing job! They even pitched in to do a lot of the little things we ran out of time to do. They were very professional and tended to each request we had to move this or that around. I was also with the bride for the tasting and when they went over details and they were so accommodating to her. They got tables, chairs, linens, all the plating needs, heaters, bars, dance floor, and food through them and it was all very well taken care of. Oh and the food! Yum! They had the Mac and Cheese, tri tip, rolls, potatoes, seasoned veggies and a really yummy Gouda, apple salad. All of it was very delicious! I can't say enough good things about them, I can't even think of anything that we didn't like. Thank you so much DJ's, you made my best friends day so amazing!

DJ's California Catering is the best! They catered our August wedding at the Ty Warner Sea Center. The food was amazing. The service was impeccable. They really helped make our wedding fantastic. We could not be happier with everything they did. And they did everything at a very reasonable price. Doug is an absolute saint! He answered all of our numerous questions, and he always did it with a smile. He was such a pleasure to work with, and we will recommend him and DJ's to everyone. Book them!!!

SO so glad we went with DJ's Catering. We were married in October 2016 at the Commemorative Air Force Base in Camarillo, CA. DJ's was one of their preferred vendors and for good reason; they were absolute pros, knew what to do without being told, the food was shockingly delicious (so many compliments), and extremely reasonable. Also, Doug from DJ's was planning with us every step of the way. He always responded to inquiries within 24 hours (which you'll find is extremely rare with most vendors as you start planning your wedding), and answered all of our questions respectfully and kindly. We also rented our tables, chairs, linens, etc, and used their bartending services. Having all of those services wrapped into a single, highly efficient vendor made everything go so smoothly. We are so grateful to DJs! Thank you!

I am so so happy I picked DJs catering for my wedding at Lion's Park in Carpinteria 10/29/16. The food was seriously so amazing, the Tri tip was cooked to perfection, the chicken was tender and moist and the mac and cheese was equally delicious. All guests raved about our food. The staff was so friendly, attentive, professional and did an amazing job setting up the ceremony site and reception area. They were also extremely prompt when delivering items day before wedding and day of wedding. All email and phone communication with Doug was easy, he is so friendly and quick to reply. He was quick to update the proposal with any changes. Would not hesitate to recommend this amazing catering company. My wedding planner, who has been in the business for 15 years, stated she was extremely impressed by the catering staff and food. Thank you DJs!

The food was amazing. Doug was very easy to work with and extremely accommodating. Serving staff was phenomenal!! They checked in on the bride and groom numerous times throughout the reception and made sure they were able to try all of the hor d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. A staff member even offered to give the mother of the bride a new plate of food when he noticed she had not touched her food in a while. Loved working with DJ's catering!

Having great food was incredibly important to us for our wedding day, and DJ's delivered big-time. Their food is delicious, the staff is wonderful, and they were incredibly easy to work with leading up to and on our wedding day. They were by far the tastiest and most affordable out of all of the caterers we talked to and tried. And we've gotten compliments from many of the guests on the food! DJ's really is the best.

We had the best food and wonderful service at our wedding at the Malibu West Beach Club! We heard about DJ's Catering through our venue's preferred vendors list, and we are so glad that we chose them. We primarily worked with Doug and John, and every time we met with them or had questions they were very quick to respond and professional. Jessie was our coordinator on the day of our wedding, and she was so sweet, friendly, and always making sure all of our guests were happy. Not only was the food perfect, but we were able to rent our arch, tables, and much more through them. Their team made our day so special and we would highly recommend them!

Top notch Catering! My husband and I went in and did a food tasting before the wedding to make sure the food was what we wanted . Jon was awesome and made us feel like royalty. The food was so yummy! The day of the wedding the food was out of the world and everyone kept coming up to us telling us the food was fantastic and was the best wedding food they ever had. The food is so yummy

I can not recommend DJ's more highly. They are amazingly well priced for the quality of service and food. They are incredibly accommodating and so friendly. They took care of everything at 2/3's of the price of just food service at other caterers. I highly recommend the tequila lime chicken and the penne pasta in cream sauce. I had to go with a dairy free chicken but when I went to the tasting the tequila lime blew me away. Pick DJ's! It was the best choice I made for the reception.

From day one, Doug and his team were an amazing part of our wedding. What initially drew us to them were their very reasonable prices and after sampling their food, we realized that there was no lack in quality or service. When trying to configure table arrangement and potential add-ons, Doug was extremely transparent and never came off as pushy or trying to up sell. When the week of the wedding came and we found out that rain was inevitable, DJ's made themselves readily available via phone and email and were overall extremely flexible in suiting our new needs. The day of the wedding was spectacular - the staff was professional and kind and the food was better than we remembered in our tasting. We received numerous compliments on the food weeks after the wedding as well. My wife and I can't think of one thing we would have changed with our catering. We chose DJ's for our wedding catering and we couldn't have chosen a better company to work with. They were wonderful at helping us plan for the day, giving us so many options to choose from and were so flexible with the menu (even customizing a few hors d'oeuvres based on our favorite snacks). They were very quick to respond to emails or calls, thorough in every communication with us and were a pleasure to speak with each time. Everything went incredibly smoothly on the day and all of our guests have taken the time to tell us how much they loved all of the food. Their prices were very competitive and it was so helpful that they were able to provide many of the rentals we needed for the venue as well. So happy we chose them!

While we had to choose DJ's Catering because it was required by our venue, they did an amazing job and did not disappoint! The venue coordinator communicated with the company regarding details of our wedding date and size of our party so all we had to do was schedule one meeting for food tasting and discuss day of details. Our meeting with Doug was concise and Doug was thorough in explaining the timeline and what exactly they were in charge of such as all table and chair rentals and setup and cleanup. He answered all our questions and even worked with our budget! The food tasting was delicious and we did not have any doubts the food would be just as great at the wedding! The day of the event went as smooth as possible! The catering staff were very attentive and we did not have any complaints! In fact our guests were raving about the food and the service! We highly recommend DJs California Catering for your wedding caterer! First and foremost, Doug, the owner, is extremely kind, helpful, and flexible. He was willing to change our menu over and over again when we couldn't make up our mind, and offered helpful suggestions to keep our changes within budget. As for budget, his prices were extremely fair, far more fair than over a dozen other caterers in the LA area we contacted, tasted, and considered that claimed to be within the same price range. Doug didn't hide any fees, and his first quote was within the same range as the final price we paid. His food was excellent! We received compliments throughout the night on the food, even from friends that came that are chefs. His table display and presentation was beautiful and exactly as described, and the quality of the food was exceptional. As a side note, he offered endless options for food ideas, and was also willing to make whatever we wanted. Prior to the wedding, I read countless reviews that said that his macaroni and cheese was phenomenal. However, I was insistent on not having mac and cheese at our wedding, because it was too informal. So, Doug worked with us and came up with the idea to put mac and cheese (its a white, not yellow, sauce) and in filo cups and bake the cheese on top as an appetizer. They were beyond delicious, and we received countless compliments that evening and requests for more at dinner. His servers were all extremely kind and had excellent attention to detail. They arrived on time, cleaned up as planned, and were all extremely professional. Overall, we cannot say enough good things about DJs!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience with DJ's Catering. We met with 3 other caterers, and it was a clear choice for us after meeting with Doug. We learned very quickly that most caterers can be pretty strict with their rules, and what we wanted and needed was a company that would be flexible and be willing to do whatever it took to meet our requests. We had a very tight budget, and a specific vision for how we wanted our wedding day to be. Doug worked with us on where we could cut costs, was open to our unique ideas, and was always available for questions or concerns. Other places just flat out told us "no" to our requests, and Doug's response was always either "sure", or "let's see what we can do". THAT is worth gold. It was very clear that his mission was to make us happy, not force us to use their services for things we didn't need or want, just to spike up the bill. On the day of the wedding, I barely noticed the staff- which is an upmost compliment. Their service, set up, and tear down, was seamless- and my husband, guests, and I were able to just enjoy the evening. I always felt taken care of, but not bombarded. The food was delicious (who WOULDN'T want mac and cheese on their wedding night?! So good!), and we were able to customize things to our tastes (even down to the presentation of the salad). I had supplemented some of the flatware with my own collection of mismatched forks and knives, and they were rinsed and cleaned by the staff...even though I specifically said to just dump all of the used flatware into a bucket or box for me to clean later. That so simply shows their attention to detail, and willingness to go above and beyond. A slight communication error did occur in regards to some wine being opened and not used, and Doug, without any hesitation offered to reimburse us even though it wasn't technically anyone's fault. It is customer service like that, which sadly, is hard to find these days. We so appreciated Doug's gesture. If you're looking for a caterer and rental company that is reliable, honest, customizable, and willing to do whatever it takes to make your vision a reality- you truly have to look no further. I was so pleased with our experience with them in every capacity. Thank you again, Doug!

I cannot say enough about Doug and his team at DJ's Catering. Doug covered every detail imaginable and did an amazing job. We are from San Diego, and had our wedding in Ojai. He was so professional and always accommodating. He always responded back to my emails in a timely matter and with such a friendly attitude no matter how many questions I had for him! Not only that, but the food was spectacular! We ended up using Doug for our rehearsal dinner and wedding catering and our guests just raved about the food! Doug always took the time to figure out exactly what we wanted, and helped us out in every way possible. We were married at an estate, and he supplied us with bar ware and ice even though we were using our own bartender. He covered all details no matter how small or large, and always had a smile on his face. Not only that, but his team was fantastic! They were so accommodating, and friendly. They jumped in to bring us extra tables, did a fantastic set up, and were always right on point, bringing us and our vendors food right when we had asked. Joe was there to take care of all of our needs during our Rehearsal, and was so professional and made us have a great time! I can't speak enough about Doug, Joe and his team - they truly are an amazing team and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Doug met with us many times before to make sure he understood exactly what we wanted. He even drove up to Ojai and took a thorough video of the property to show to his team and our other vendors before the big day, so there were no surprises! Doug even gave us a sample of his Tri-Tip Rub because my husband was just raving about how good it was! When we booked our venue for our August 3rd wedding, we were first disappointed to find out that we could not get an outside caterer and we had to use DJ's catering. I have heard a lot of great things about DJ's but we were overwhelmed with the price per person. We just cut down our guest count to make the reception more affordable for us. I have to admit though that DJ's really wowed us and did an amazing job. We all loved the food and staff was beyond amazing. They were all warm and treated us as friends. One of the staff members even helped me with my bustle for my dress! Although this vendor is expensive, we were very pleased with the food and services that we highly recommend them for any event!

From our first meeting with Doug, we felt we were in good hands. He was very attentive and gave us a clear, itemized list of services with prices, which we appreciated. Everything was very reasonable. Many of our married friends said that they loved their food at the tasting, but the quality didn't match up at the wedding. We asked Doug about this, who reassured us that it would taste the same, in part to a special heating technology he used. We were a bit worried but trusted Doug and his reviews. Well, Doug lived up to his word because the food at the wedding was cooked perfectly and very flavorful, just like the tasting. We were incredibly happy and our guests raved about the quality. Last but not least, his team is such a nice group of people - very thoughtful, polite and professional. They were so helpful in getting food for a few elderly family members, and just helpful throughout the night. You won't be disappointed or pay too much if you hire DJ's. They're awesome!

DJ's Catering did an absolutely wonderful job! The tri-tip was amazing! Definitely much better than any other catering company I have tried. The staff was always very friendly and never pushy. Doug was willing to work with us and he always paid close attention to detail.

We used DJ's for our wedding ceremony and reception caterer, and they did a fantastic job at making our wedding beautiful. We had a backyard venue with only 50-60 guests, but they did a wonderful job at setting up all the tables and food stations in a way that made it feel like an actual venue or resort location. The servers and bartenders worked all night long and left around 11:30pm, after carefully placing our items, gifts, decor, extra alcohol and things that my guest left behind in a secure spot. Our server Jessie was very attentive and did a great job at keeping a lively spirit all night, I was super impressed with her! :) Doug was very easy to work with, he never pushed anything on us, we used many of our own things to set up with and he was very open to any ideas we had. We got compliments on everything from the set up to the food, we had tri-tip and the fontina chicken with a spring veggie medley, Caesar salad and garlic mash...we still hear how good the food was. We would definitely use them again. If You are in Santa Barbara or Ventura Counties and need a Vender, give them a call...

My (now) husband and I picked DJs for our wedding catering after finding them through Google and seeing the fantastic Yelp reviews. Their menu selections were so diverse and had exactly what we had in mind. I sent the initial email and Doug helped me with the selections as well as the rentals (chairs, linens, etc). I was a bit of an early bird, we so got the initial plans in place, then waited until about 2 months before the wedding to do a food tasting. The tasting was fantastic, and our meeting with Doug to make finalized plans definitely exceeded my expectations. The actual wedding day could not have gone more perfectly. The DJs crew totally transformed our reception space and brought it to life. They had a temporary bar set up for cocktail hour, as well as a beautiful display for appetizers. Dinner service was impeccable. The buffet was set up beautifully and in such a way that it was easy for guests to move through. The catering staff even got my husband and I our plates so that we could relax. The bartenders were nice and gracious and served our guests to their heart's content. They even gave us tons of leftover food and even boxed up the leftover wedding cake for us. I could not have been happier with DJs. I would recommend them to anybody in need of catering services without hesitation. Perfect service and very reasonable in terms of price but do not cut corners on quality. Thank you DJs!!!!

Hands down the BEST decision for my wedding overall!! Doug and John were very responsive and definitely have a staff that is on top of their game! Everything was perfect from the chocolate fountain to the on-site BBQ!!!

Dj's was so awesome. The food is a soooo good. At the tasting I really liked a particular dish, but didn't like the olives, so they used capers instead, yummo! Our dinner was buffet style and we needed to accomodate some vegans. We were able to choose really delicious vegan options for the cocktail hour, they left the cheese on the side for the salad, the pasta dish was vegan, and the grilled vegetables were awesome. None of the carnivores realized they were eating vegan food because it was so delicous. Also, the staff were awesome! Our reception was at my in laws home, so he came out two weeks ahead of time, took video of the back yard and gave us the lay of the land. We got all of our rentals from DJ's too. The came the day before the wedding and did a lot of the set up. At the end, they cleared out everything, There was no clean up to be done. It was all so smooth and efficient. I could not have been more pleased and people are continuing to rave about how awesome the food was and how much fun the bartender was. Will definitely use again for future events.

My company uses DJs a lot so I was very familiar with their food and service, which is why we decided to use them for our local wedding reception (wedding was in Maui). We kept the theme of elegant Hawaii and had mango chicken and other Hawaiian-type foods for the buffet. The menu was very simple but we received a TON of compliments. We also got to bring home all of the leftovers. The food tasted amazing and the staff was professional as always!

What can I say about DJs Catering, other than they are AMAZING! I dealt with Doug Biggs most of the time, and he was great! So patient, kind, and just overall, a wonderful person. They were so accommodating prior to the wedding, especially considering I booked them over a year out. The week prior to the wedding was a breeze, and the day of the wedding, I can't complain about one thing that went wrong b/c NOTHING did! Almost unheard of for weddings :) Food was great, timely and all of our guests were happy! They also did all of our rentals, bar service, helped set up my candy bar, and coordinated and setup the cupcakes. Just overall, AMAZING! Fantastic! My husband and I can not say enough about DJ's. We used them for our September wedding & everything with them from the first email to the first visit to the day of, was done professionally and perfectly. When you first walk into the office you are a bit taken aback, it is small & there is stuff everywhere! But John had our quote and a computer where we could look at pictures. He had all of the linen swatches & chair types....everything you would want to look at to make your decisions easier. About a month later my mother and I were at a bridal show in West Lake Village, John was there along with the owner Doug. John remembered us (I know he meets dozens of people a day) and introduced us to Doug. We were also able to try some of the food & meet some of the staff. Food was fabulous & the staff was great, and funny! As we were having our ceremony at a private residence we requested to have a meeting with somebody from DJ's about a month prior to the ceremony. They gladly set up an appointment. Doug, the owner, showed up. He was a font of information and insight. We had a few ideas on staging & set up, he gave us some advice and opinions. We made a few changes to where things were to be set up.....these changes made a HUGE difference the day of and really made things better. The day before the wedding they delivered the tables & chairs (which we loved as we set up some chairs around the gazebo to get an idea of what it would look like). On the day of, they showed up exactly on time & got to work. I left a few notes with my husband and they had everything set up in no time. When I walked out it was so beautiful! Better than I had imagined it would be! We decided to go with the Luau themed meal; Kalua (shredded) pork, teriyaki chicken, steamed vegetables, jasmine rice & Hawaiian sweet bread. It was awesome! I am still hearing from people on how good the food was! We aimed to have the whole party shut down by 10 with clean-up done by 10:30. At about 10:20 everything was done with all of the chairs and tables stacked ready for pick-up. I was amazed. DJ's is a professional, organized and very friendly company that I will gladly do business with again. They really helped make our day fun and enjoyable. And at a very affordable cost. We rented tables, chairs, full linen/flatware service, 3 staff members for about 9 hours, plus food, bartender, set-up & break-down, and cake cutting for less than $45 per guest! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

DJ's was the house caterer for the venue I chose, and at first I was a little apprehensive because I hadn't really had any experience with them. I work at a venue myself doing wedding planning, so I knew how important the caterer was to the success of a wedding. DJ's not only met, but surpassed my expectations. Our catering manager Doug was professional, knowledgeable, and he put up with my million phone calls and emails with patience and understanding. He worked with me up until the last couple of days on little details, and made all of my silly questions feel like valid inquiries because they mattered to me. The staff on the day of my wedding was professional, friendly and attentive. We had a buffet, and the staff even made plates for my husband and I so that we could have a chance to eat before we ran off to greet tables and party. The food was amazing, and I got several compliments on how good everything was. Thank you DJ's! I would recommend these guys to everyone!

DJ's Catering was amazing. From the moment we contacted DJ's, the owner Doug helped us in every facet from start to finish. Doug was a great resource not only for catering but many other aspects of the wedding such as rentals, logistics etc. Doug was very thorough, responsive and flexible. Doug answered all of our many questions (and many iterations of our menu) and was great to work with. As for the wedding day; everything was great. Doug's staff was conscientious and very hard working. Many times throughout the night they checked on the both of us to see if we needed anything. The whole staff was great. The whole wedding including the rentals and set up went off without a hitch. And the food was killer..best wedding food I have ever had (no joke). And the prices were very reasonable...much less than other caterers we looked at and much better. We were a little nervous because we didn't do a tasting but everything was amazing. We did the California Grill buffet with Tri-tip and Herb chicken breast. For sides we did the pasta and red potatoes. Everything was insanely good...we received so many comments throughout the night on how good everything tasted. We would highly recommend DJ's Catering! Mark & Mel

There simply aren't enough words to do Doug and his catering team justice. They met and exceeded all of our expectations for making our wedding day a beautiful experience and memory! The food was superb- many guests approached my mother and said that this was food incredible! The catering and rentals were very affordable as well. I had a certain "look" I wanted at the reception and they made sure everything (i.e, wine barrel stands for tables) complimented each other. The staff was so friendly and extremely professional. I was surprised that they served us so we wouldn't have to wait in the buffet line- thank you! I would recommend DJ's again and again for any function, especially a wedding! Thank you, Kami and Josh

DJ's catered our wedding, and we got so many compliments at how great the food was. Doug, the owner, was always responsive with our questions, and the staff on the day of were fantastic. The bartender made great drinks and the wait staff went out of there way to know some of our families names, which was really cute (i.e. my 82 year old dad). They were affordable (as wedding food can be) and delicious and we highly recommend them. They were also nice enough to offer to bring plates over to us (me and hubby) so we wouldn't have to stand in the buffet line. Very thoughtful!

To be honest, i didn't really get a chance to eat the food at the wedding. That being said, I got so many compliments on the quality and taste of the food. We also hired their servers and bartenders. They were professional and friendly.

DJ's Catering was so easy to work with to get the details right. We even did our chair rentals for our outdoor ceremony through them. The servers came early and set everything up in a beautiful arrangement, and all of our guests are STILL talking about how good the food was! We're so happy we used them!

DJ's provided all of our food and wait staff along with linens and tables for our wedding. They were very easy to work with. The food was amazing, all of our guests were raving about it. The wait staff and bartender were great as well. The server who took care of my husband and I made sure we had our food quickly and that we were doing alright. The bartender had a drink ready for us everytime our glass was empty... pretty amazing since he was serving 100 other people as well. The staff worked so fast and set up everything just as we had discussed beforehand... there were no surprises and it took A TON of stress off of us, knowing they were in charge. We made a few last minute changes and they were very flexible and accomodating. I'm looking forward to using DJ's services in the future for other events on our lives!
