Shawn was absolutely amazing! Our dance floor was filled the entire night and he played all the music we requested without issue! We loved Shawn and highly recommend him.
If you want a packed dance floor that will last all night - Hire Shawn as your DJ!
One of the most important things to us was having a dance floor that was packed from start to fi...
nish and that is exactly what we got! It was amazing - he played all the songs we requested and the genres we loved. He made sure that the next song was perfect for the mood of the dancers. When I last minute changed the last song to end the night, he was right on it. (PS Bohemian Rhapsody is THE best song to end on if you want to keep the party going into an afterglow).
We had a acoustic dup that played for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and formal parent dances and Shawn worked great with them and let them use his gear. Everything worked out great!
Shawn also made his rounds to all speakers and made sure they were comfortable with the mic, confirmed the pronunciation of their name, and let them know when their speech was coming up. We didn't even had to worry about it, which was great.
Shawn was thrown a curveball a week before the wedding when my dad called him up and let him know he would be surprising me with a song on the wedding day and bringing his own piano. Shawn made this happen without a hitch or a mention to me. It was the most perfect surprise moment!
All in all, I would highly recommend Shawn - he is great at communicating prior to the wedding and fantastic at pumping up a party during the big day!
Our dance floor was constantly full with DJs North! Our guests enjoyed all the music and its one of the the things they are still talking about after the wedding.

nce to and as it got later to play our favorite types of music. He did exactly that and kept the dance floor filled for every single song he played. So many of our guests have said it was one of the most fun weddings they have been to and that they've never danced so much!

ing moving along at the right pace. He even offered some helpful hints on cutting the cake. A great mix of music including our requested songs, guest requests and his own interpretation based on our picks. His flexibility with his equipment in setting up outdoors made for a memorable night for everyone.
Shawn was amazing to work with. It was clear from our introductory screening call that he was well-versed in Northern Michigan weddings and the DJ business. We sent him a song list...
and he created the remainder of the playlist using what little information we gave him. He even asked us if it was ok to play the request of a drunk guest. Shawn was extremely responsive, flexible and required minimal direction and supervision. I highly recommend DJs North!
Played good music.
