Desiree is AMAZING! Not only as a Photographer but also as a person. She goes out of her way to make your big day so memorable and unique. We were her first Indian wedding she covered. She managed to capture all the key moments from the ceremony as well as the reception. She is our go-to Photographer for weddings, engagements, and portraits.

From the second I met Desiree a year before my wedding, I knew she was the photographer I wanted for our wedding day. From that day on, she was so responsive to all of our emails throughout the entire planning process & shared in the fun of planning our wedding! The day of, seeing her familiar, friendly face at my parents’ house was so relieving! Desiree knew exactly what pictures & moments she wanted to photograph from the second she walked in the door. The entire day was a blur, but was so happy to have such an attentive, calming & fun presence around. Desiree felt like family! The pictures are absolutely stunning and we are so happy with how they turned out. Desiree (and her amazing second photographer John) was able to capture every single moment! Since the photographer is with you throughout your entire wedding day, it is important to have one with great energy, enthusiasm and sensitivity to detail. Desiree is just that! She was my favorite wedding vendor that we chose for our big day. What I appreciated most was her ability to go with the flow when my husband and I wanted to go to specific locations in the area to get specific shots. Her vision was spot-on and we have over 700 hundred photos from our big day (love them all). Also, we hired a friend of a friend to do the videography and they worked really well as a team. She was happy to make arrangements with him and exchange emails/phone numbers leading up to the wedding and the day-of. Her turn around was fast, we received the photos within a month or so after the wedding. I know this can vary a lot with the season but I have a few other friends who had weddings months before us who waited longer than after we received ours! Also she was so reasonably priced, especially for the NY metro area!

Desiree was an amazing photographer and is a wonderful person! She did our engagement shoot along with our wedding and the photos were beautiful! Des was attentive, thoughtful and really worked hard to make sure that we were happy. She stayed later than we had agreed and was super gracious and kind about it. She was also very responsive and offered suggestions and made changes when it came to our album. I highly recommend Des to anyone looking for a wonderful, patient, and talented photographer!

I cannot stress enough how much I love dmdc photography! Des is FANTASTIC to work with. She is so creative and fun! Desiree came highly recommended to us and after our first meeting we knew why. She is very down to earth and we instantly felt confortable with her. We had a great experience with Desiree who not only takes beautiful photographs but is also such an upbeat person she put us at ease. My husband hates getting his picture taken but he loved her and felt comfortable. On the day of the wedding she took so many photographs but I never felt like she was in my face. While being assertive Desiree was also so professional, with a friendly, happy and energetic approach. At times you wouldn't even realize she was taking pictures as she is so quick and quiet on her feet. The end result was more then we had expected. Desiree has a keen eye for color, design and chooses unique locations to shoot. Each shot was beautifully executed. We are delighted with the memories she helped to capture.

I used DMDC photography for my March 9, 2013 wedding. Desiree took time prior to the wedding to meet with my family and I to get a sense of the kind of pictures we wanted. She was also sure to obtain a list from us of everyone we wanted photographed. Just two months after our wedding we had access to our proof gallery and saw that not only did Desiree & Kenny photograph those we listed, we think they managed to photograph everyone who attended the wedding! They were there from start to finish, not just snapping away, but being positive & upbeat to tame any pre wedding jitters. They were everywhere all night and that was evident when we saw the proofs. Also, the formal pictures before guests arrived were a beautiful mixture of posed & candid shots. Having a March wedding, we were limited on outdoor photography, but DMDC made it look like the middle of June. We feel very fortunate to have had DMDC photograph our wedding and would recommend them without hesitation!

Gary and I knew from the moment we met Desiree that we met the person with whom we wanted to spend our wedding day. She is energetic, funny and everyone wanted to smile for her. She captured the essence of our gorgeous outdoor wedding, the innocence of the young nieces and nephews in the wedding party and just the entire amazing experience. There are so many wonderful things I can say about Desiree. From our very first meeting, she was friendly, enthusiastic, and eager to fulfill our photography needs. She immediately made us feel comfortable in her presence -- something that you want when you're choosing a stranger to shoot pictures of one of the most important day of your lives. My husband and I knew right away that she was the right choice for our wedding day. Desiree remained completely engaged and flexible to our needs the entire time. Every once in awhile, you come across a person that emanates enthusiasm and friendliness in all that he or she does, even e-mails. Desiree is one of these people. She was super dedicated and willing to work with us to keep us happy. For our engagement session, she agreed to go on a 5-6 mile hike with us in order to shoot at Ramapo Forest ruins in northern NJ. The pictures came out phenomenal, and even though we experienced a minor accident, Desiree never failed to keep our best interest in mind. (Seriously, she's got a scar on her knee to prove it. Ask her about it and you will know how dedicated of a photographer she is!) She was timely and organized on our wedding day. She made us all feel so comfortable during our pictures and kept us laughing the entire time. This was something I greatly valued in her! Last (but certainly not least), her turnaround for our album and images was completely surprising! I have heard of couples who have had to wait one to two years to receive their album. Desiree had our album completed and our DVD of images burned and delivered within 6-7 months of our wedding date. If that isn't dedication to her clients, I don't know what is! Working with Desiree was proably the easiest and most fun part of my wedding planning experience. From the day that we had the pleasure of meeting Desiree, we fell in love with her. Neither I nor my husband like being in pictures, so she insisted on an engagement session. We've never felt so at ease in front of the camera and our engagement photos were just beautiful. On our wedding day, she arrived early, she had already made sure that she knew of any and all special requests and formal portraits and was ready to roll. She didn't make the photography part of the day take over the way other photographers do, again made us feel at ease and just made it fun. She brought an assistant who worked alongside her and was wonderful as well. UPDATE: Well the pictures are just stunning!! For a pair of people who really don't like to be in pictures, we can't love them any more! Desiree continues to be super in every way. She's a professional through and through. We couldn't have made a better choice in our photographer for our special day. She is truly amazing!!

Desiree was an absolute pleasure to work with. We got along so well and always had a lot of fun whenever we worked together. Our wedding pictures came out unvelievably gorgeous. We have gotten so many compliments on them - and still do! She blends fun/quirky photos with classic ones - the perfect balance. Sensing my husband and my quirky personality she brought along goofy glasses for us to wear for some wedding photos... we loved it! She infuses every session with laughs, which in turn, make you laugh and make your photos come out great. After the wedding, we also hired her again to take photos of our newborn son. Fantastic again!
