I'm so glad we decided to hire Dan for our wedding photos. I am the type of person who loves looking through old family albums and memories, so having quality pictures of my own wedding was very important. This review is long overdue, where do I start!? Dan is genuinely amazing. He was so incredibly professional and patient and was a joy to work with both leading up to and on our wedding day! Our photographs turned out beautifully, his work speaks for itself, and I couldn’t be happier! From day one his communication was great and he even worked out a timeline early on so that I could loop all my other vendors in. The day of he was so good at directing and working with our families, he kept things moving along and everything went smoothly. He went above and beyond for us (from scouting out our shooting locations beforehand, getting our first look orchestrated, sending us our photos in a beautiful box, etc) and was just so thoughtful in every way! We had the best experience with Dan at DMPFamilyLife. Dan was the first vendor we hired and he really helped our wedding planning go smooth and fall into place. He had other great vendor recommendations that we used. He also helped us craft and curate our wedding day timeline around all the unique requests we had for photos the day of the wedding. Dan was extremely organized and professional, he met up with us a month before to make sure we had a cohesive list of all the groupings of family photos that we wanted organized into the allotted photo time. When it came to the wedding day Dan, and his second shooter Chris were really nice at making us feel comfortable since we aren't very comfortable in front of the camera. Dan and Chris got every shot we envisioned and captured the day perfectly. We did about 3 hours of first look, couple photos, and family photos before the ceremony, 30 more minutes of family photos during cocktail hour, and about an our of dancing photos into the reception overall from 2pm to 10pm 8 hours worth of photos. Dan processed the photos so quickly even during the busy season and we got a link to all of the photos to an online album, a flash drive with all the photos and 25 photos printed out too. I couldn't recommend Dan enough his experience and knowledge for the profession really was outstanding and the photos had a lightness and quality to them that was perfect, thanks Dan!

Dan contacted me numerous times before my wedding to discuss the ideas I had and the main shots I wanted to get. He listened to everything I said, but also gave so much helpful feedback and suggestions. Dan went to the church and reception venue the week before the wedding to scout out good back drops for the photos. On our wedding day it poured rain, but that didn’t matter; he was still able to come up with creative indoor and outdoor shots to work around the weather. The quality of the photos is amazing, and you wouldn’t even know it rained because he edited the lighting so beautifully to make them look nice and bright. WOW, we had such an amazing experience with dmpfamilylife. We got to work directly with Dan who is super friendly, kind and a magical photographer. When searching for a wedding photographer, we were referred to dmpfamilylife from a friend that had used him. We was well priced and went above and beyond. Prior to the wedding we had phone conversations, exchanged emails and he even came onsite to check out ideas of what types of locations we should use for the day of the wedding. For the day of event, he showed up EARLY (yes, not on time but actually early) he was very punctual and we even got to take more photo options than we talked about. He was open to any ideas that we had and he was really great. During the ceremony and reception the mother of the bride mentioned that he was so great, and didn't even feel like he was there. He did great at taking candids on the dance floor and got a lot of great photography. We highly recommend!!

Dan makes photos available via online gallery, mobile app gallery, and a USB that comes beautifully packaged in a keepsake box with some complimentary 4x6 prints - such a lovely touch! Updated: We got our photos back just about three weeks after the wedding (so fast) and they are PHENOMENAL. He captured every single moment of the day/night. Everyone we showed is amazed at how perfect the photos are! We are so happy we chose DMP for our wedding. Plus Dan treated us like family before and after the wedding!! Dan is AMAZING! We just had our wedding this past weekend, but we know the photos are going to be phenomenal. He made us feel so comfortable and natural, we could not have asked for a better photographer. Like alot of other brides, we had to postpone our celebration to another day but still decided to get married on our original date. That is when I saw Daniel's ad on Facebook for a micro-wedding which is exactly what we needed. We hired Daniel to capture a few getting ready shots, the church ceremony, and portraits of family/ friends and my husband and I after. We got our pictures back in less than a month and they turned out extremely beautiful and better than I ever could have imagined. In the 3 hours we worked together, he managed to capture the most beautiful, perfect shots. I absolutely love the quality and lighting of his shots. We walked down the street to a "park" and he used his skills to capture such beautiful shots with the trees and lighting and the background that i didn't even think could be possible. We can't recommend Dan enough! Due to COVID we have rescheduled our wedding twice and Dan has been patient, flexible and reassuring that we'll have the perfect day next year. Dan was a pleasure to work with! Due to COVID-19, my husband and I had to completely re-do our event last minute and reduce our wedding down to an intimate backyard event. Dan was extremely helpful in helping figure out our photography needs for our atypical wedding. Every time we met with Dan it was evident that he really cares about his clients, and wants to make sure that we get beautiful photographs that we will be able to cherish for the rest of our lives. He really worked with us on our budget and was flexible with timing and adding on additional time when we asked last minute. He was punctual and professional the day of and several friends and family commented on how good our photographer was! I would and do recommend him whenever someone needs a wedding photographer. He and his assistant were great and we love our photos! We had our photos just a little over a month which was before the deadline he gave us ( also really nice to know when we would have the pictures by - our Vidoegrapher left us in the dark about estimated time which was frustrating). You have to book Daniel for your wedding photographer! He was absolutely wonderful and the photographs exceeded our expectations. He was excellent with communication and aligning expectations the whole way through, and was easy to work with - a great mix of accommodating our asks and making recommendations of his own. The day of he was patient, spent time in advance to figure out exactly the right areas of the venue for lighting and detail, and was fun to have around. The photos - stunning, gorgeous, and perfect.

Thank you Dan for making us feel so comfortable on our wedding day! I actually let my husband choose our photographer because he has a great eye for photos. We went through a bunch of vendors on the knot and he immediately chose DMP. We spoke with Dan, who fit our budget and availability of our Sunday morning wedding. He put us at ease on our phone call and with his work online that we made the decision to hire him without ever meeting him! Best decision ever. Some of our family does not get along and he handled them no problems. Our ceremony was at 11:00am and he got our reveal photos done as well as bride/groom portraits. All of the guests commented on how hard he worked and his attention to detail.

Dan is out of this world! We had a two year engagement and hired Dan not too long after we got engaged, so we worked with him for a while leading up to the wedding, including for the engagement shoot. I'm naturally a very nervous person and am awful at being the center of attention, which makes posing for photos a bit of a challenge, but I felt so comfortable around Dan for both the engagement shoot and the wedding - and the photos turned out amazing! Dan is incredibly skilled, personable and professional - even a month after our wedding, our guests are still raving about how much they loved him. Highly, highly, highly recommend working with Dan!

I wish I could give Dan more than five stars. From the second I saw his website I knew I wanted him to shoot our wedding. Honestly, picking him was the easiest and best choice I made in the wedding process (besides choosing to marry my husband)! He was with us from the getting ready process to the end of the night and was constantly the hardest-working photographer I've ever seen. He captured so many beautiful moments between myself and my husband, our wedding party, our family, and our guests. He chose where to take our portraits, and the locations he picked were all beautiful. We don't know Philadelphia all that well and weren't sure what we were looking for, but we were in great hands with Dan! He had so many brilliant ideas for how/when/where to photograph us. My husband and I have nothing but kind things to say about Dan. Choosing a photographer was one of the hardest decisions my husband and I had to make. After speaking with Daniel over the phone however, we knew we found the right person. Daniel was very professional and took the time to find out what pictures we wanted throughout the day. He frequently emailed us to give us updated timelines and schedules to ensure we captured specific pictures. On our wedding day there were 5 other weddings going on at our venue. This could have easily interfered with the locations for our pictures but Daniel did an excellent job at getting the pictures we wanted at those locations without running into the other parties. We had an assistant for the first part of the day to get the groomsmen shots as well and she was fantastic! All of my husband's pictures were perfect. Daniel also did a great job at getting our pictures done in a short time so we could enjoy the party, which was extremely important to us. We highly recommend his company.. you won't regret it!

Dan did an amazing job capturing our wedding day. We chose Dan because of his candid portfolio. Both our candid and staged photos came out incredible. On the day of our wedding he was punctual, polite, and took the initiative to get photos we loved. We had a tight schedule that Dan rolled with even after rain changed everything last minute. I couldn't recommend anyone higher for their wedding day. Out of all the stresses with planning a wedding; not having to worry that Dan would go above and beyond to get what we wanted was a big relief.

Where do we even start with how Amazing Dan was? From the first call he was organized, thoughtful, had great ideas but made sure to incorporate what we wanted. We were planning a wedding from across the country, so needed to rely on him for ideas, timeline etc. He was quick to respond anytime we reached out, super thoughtful to some stressful family situations, and his photographs were FANTASTIC! Our wedding planner and guests also commented on how amazing he was - what more could we ask for? Cannot recommend him enough!

I found Dan online after an extensive search. We met with him about a year before the wedding, and I immediately knew he was the photographer for us. He is extremely professional, has a great personality, and of course takes beautiful pictures! I am so happy that we went with him, and will use him again for any photo need in the future. Dan did an amazing job photographing our wedding. Being an out of town bride, all of our discussions with Dan leading up to the wedding we’re done over the phone. He made sure to help us plan a timeline for the day and make a list of all the photos we wanted. Since we hadn’t met before, Dan came to our rehearsal at the church to meet us as well as our priest so he knew any rules and could figure out where best to take photos. On the day of, he was prompt and organized which made everything flow smoothly. Our wedding was on a particularly cold April day. Dan worked efficiently to get plenty of shots in different settings and made sure to check in on us to ensure we weren’t getting too cold. During the reception, he was able to get some good candids without us noticing he was there. Dan got our photos back to us very quickly with in three weeks of our wedding. We love our photos. Absolutely stunning! We probably researched photography the most throughout the wedding process and we are so happy to have found Dan. We really didn't know much about photography or what to expect, but Dan was helpful the whole way through. He answered all of our questions, was great with phone conversations, and truly knows his craft well. We are pretty shy in front of the camera, but Dan worked with us and made us feel comfortable throughout the whole process. He even scouts out locations beforehand to make sure he gets us the best shots. Dan arrived on the day of and got straight to work capturing all of the details that we worked so hard on to bring together. The end results were completely gorgeous. Where do I begin? I reached out to Dan almost immediately after getting engaged a year ago. After doing tons of photographer-stalking on The Knot, like most bride-to-be's do, I stumbled onto his page and fell in love with his work. It was really important to me that we had a photographer who could capture the emotion and personality of the day - not just the cliche "Pinterest" shots. His work spoke to me (maybe that sounds cheesy but it's true). Dan was incredible to work with from the very first time I reached out to him. He went out of his way to personally meet my fiance & I (in person) to learn more about us and show us more of his work. He was always quick to respond whenever I had a question or idea. He did so much prep work prior to our big day - including visiting our locations to get ideas for "perfect shots". He even had inspo shots saved that he thought we would love. I think Dan's work honestly speaks for itself, but the icing on the cake was his personality. He was super calm, which really kept me from freaking out that day. Wedding days can be stressful, we all know it. There's so much going on, it's easy to get overwhelmed. Especially when you have a large bridal party like we did. He is so great about keeping you (and your rowdy bunch) on schedule, getting the shots you want, and then some. We didn't miss a beat at all the day of the wedding. Dan of DMP Family Life was my photographer for my wedding last month. He was incredible. The photos he took were gorgeous and he is great to work with. I liked him from the first time we talked details on the phone. The day of the wedding his calm professionalism and sense of humor made everything from getting ready shots to formal pictures go smoothly. We found Dan through the Knot, which was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He was such a pleasure to work with. We met twice prior to the wedding. Dan helped us to finalized our timeline and went through shooting details. When planning for our wedding, I stressed to my fiancé one thing- we HAVE to hire an excellent photographer! To me, all those minor details and frills never mattered. During the ceremony and reception, it was if he wasn't present.
