His ability to seamlessly transition between songs from our admittedly eclectic requests was fantastic, and he had a natural intuition to how the crowd was feeling throughout the evening, selecting his next song to match the energy. We had 5 straight hours of a packed dance floor thanks to Colin, and throughout the night we heard talk of how great the DJ was from guests. We opted to hire the optional photo booth from DNA Entertainment as well, which came with an attendant and was a huge hit with guests. Everything was well worth the price, and would recommend DNA’s services, with Colin being a driving factor in that recommendation. He was the best we could have asked for!

First, why a DJ over a live band? - we have a really wide, eclectic taste of music that ranges from Japanese hip hop to punk rock emo. We wanted all aspects of our music tastes represented, which would have been tricky with a live band. Then, why a DJ over using our own playlist? - simply put, our DJ was invaluable in keeping us on schedule, making announcements to corral our guests for events like cake cutting and first dances. Don't underestimate the value of having someone with a schedule that can check in with photographers, your venue and caterers, and the bride and groom to make sure things go as planned! Working with DNA Entertainment was seamless from the start. Anthony responded extremely promptly to our initial inquiry - even going as above and beyond to give us a call when we missed their email as it got sent to our spam inbox instead. The initial phone call went over basics, and we were encouraged that they were open to having a lot of input from us on music selections for cocktail hour/dinner instead of insisting we stick to their premade playlists or genres. We were given a very thorough worksheet/template to fill out with our wedding ceremony timeline, song choices for processional/recessional/first dance/etc, as well as the all important DO NOT PLAY list. They even have a list of common/top wedding songs to help those of you who aren't as particular about your music as we were. Then about a month and a half before our wedding, we reached out. Again the response was prompt, and our DJ was CC'd on the email. They let us know that they'd be in touch about a week before the wedding, which is more than enough time to touch base with your DJ prior to the wedding. We submitted our completed worksheets and sent our Spotify playlists over to our DJ, who reviewed it thoroughly with us via phone call in the week prior to the wedding. Now, a word on our DJ. DJ Christopher was fantastic! He introduced himself to us at the venue and checked in with us through the night. His help during the ceremony with microphones and speeches was truly seamless - no awkward skips or volume issues. He was flexible and accommodating, letting us finish up saying hello to our guests before keeping us on track with the schedule with speeches. He played every song we requested and none of the ones we asked him not to. As a fellow Pitbull enjoyer I was really happy with his song choices all night. He even got my shy mother-in-law on the dance floor for a song, which is not an easy feat! I can't thank DJ Christopher and DNA Entertainment enough for all their help. If you have an event, I highly, 100% endorse the whole team. Thank you for everything!

EXCEPT Colin, which was on me as I had not made the effort with all the other planning I had going on (also probably because my wife left just me in charge of this one), but despite not being provided much info he absolutely crushed the dance mix, nailed the feel of the wedding, and kept the floor full the entire night. We had completely gone off our schedule and he took it all in stride - immediately having mics available and doing masterful transitions for the toasts, and cake cutting.
He also handled the audio for the ceremony, and even though it was windy and we had multiple readings from different people he was amazing at limiting any wind noise and making sure everyone came through at the same volume.
We have been to weddings where the DJ was too much of a personality, making their presence very known, and with as personable and charismatic as Colin is, I'm sure he could provide that if it was what you want, but he was perfect for our event, providing great cues for guests but remaining mainly in the background.
If I ever have need for a DJ again I will definitely seek out DNA, and Colin.

Not only did our DJ come prepared with all of the songs we had pre-selected for various times of the night (first dances, last dances, etc.), he was great with handling any requests our guests had throughout the night.
During our wedding, we even decided to change the time of our cake cutting, and all we had to do was tell our DJ and he went and made things happen while keeping the music going!
Our family and friends like everything from Al Green to Mac Dre, and Anthony kept the party going until the end! We highly recommend DNA Entertainment for all of you out there planning an event that would be made better with music!

To top it off, Andi took candid shots of my dad and I getting ready to walk down the aisle when our photographers were in place for the ceremony. I didn't inbox the next day. That really stood out to me.

s Evan Parker and he was GREAT. He was very detailed and made sure that he had all of the information he needed from me in advance. On the day of the wedding, he DJed for our ceremony and reception, both of which were great. He DJed until midnight and kept the party going all night. People were dancing and just couldn't stop! After the wedding so many friends told me how much fun they had and it no doubt was due to Evan being an awesome DJ. Towards the end of the night, he even joined the dance circle and busted out some break dancing moves! He was very nice and seemed genuinely excited to DJ our wedding. , toast, genre of music to play, etc. It was then that her previous experience as a wedding planner became clearly evident. She had many ideas and knew of the different things that work and things that may not. All stuff that I did not consider or would not have considered not having been married or involved in a wedding before.
During the reception, Andi kept my husband and I on a tight schedule to insure that our reception stayed on track. She totally nailed our vision for an all-80’s night and played all the fun songs from that era. And she was wonderful at incorporating my husband’s and my personal/favorite love songs. Her enthusiasm for our festivities was contagious. It was a dry reception. So it takes a lot of confidence for our guests to get out on the dance floor. But Andi coaxed (really hard) them to get them up out of theirs seats. If you’re looking for a carefree, rocking deejay who will keep you in check for your reception, your best bet is to go with Andi from DNA.

Where to even start? Jon Belmont with DNA Entertainment was an integral part of our wedding reception and planning. If receptions had MVP awards for vendors, he would have won it...
unanimously! We started working with Jon close to a year before the big event and right from the start his professionalism and insights showed through and were a huge help to us. Many of our major decisions were a direct result of his advice not only with his DJ experience but as a consultant for our event rental too. We live in Oregon and were married in Carmel, so to have someone like Jon made planning remotely so much easier. He was highly organized and had checklists and timelines that helped us plan much more smoothly. Our reception had many customized events including special cuts of songs, guest speeches, choreographed dances, multiple rooms, and several activities just to name a few. Jon emceed each one of those things flawlessly and there was never a question of timing or location thanks to him. All we had to do was enjoy ourselves and that we did with ease! We knew the night was going to be great when our wedding party was introduced for the grand entrances into the reception. Jon brought us all in red carpet style to wonderful music and perfect announcing. It made us feel like rock stars! Then, when it was finally time for everyone to dance, his first song filled the dance floor. To this day, many of our guests are still talking about how they never saw a dance floor fill so quickly! And it never stopped. He was great at mashing songs and kept it going to the very end. One of my favorite parts of the evening was when I looked over to the DJ booth and saw Jon with his ear cocked to a set of headphones, both hands on his mixing table, a grin from ear to ear, and dancing to the groove like all of us. It is a vivid memory I will enjoy forever. If the DJ is having that much fun, then you better expect we are all having that much fun too. We loved every moment of working with Jon. We’ll have to come up with an excuse to throw another party just so we can have Jon emcee and DJ it! Thank you ever so much, Jon. You made our special memories golden memories!

Our DJ was Darion, and he played the songs we requested on our playlist (even a couple of songs that most DJs would turn their noses up at, because they are too hard to find!), and...
also squeezed some other fun songs in the mix. He knew exactly when to play certain songs, and helped keep the reception flowing smoothly. Also, I was having trouble with the timeline of the day, and the owner actually called to help me figure out the order of things, which was a HUGE help. I would DEFINITELY recommend them for ANY type of event!

DNA Entertainment provided excellent emcee and DJ services for a very fun reception with tons of dancing for all ages. I thought we'd have a good mix on the dance floor initially ...
but figured later on in the night it would mostly be our friends, with parents and parent's friends/family calling it a night, but Darion got everyone on the dance floor and kept them there. He was great about getting our must plays in and accepted requests, with a great mix in between all the suggestions. He also did a great job of having mingling time for us to toast the tables, but also kept an eye on the clock and let us know when we needed to speed things up to get the dancing started. I would have them all over again!

organized and the only place to book for events in Monterey. They also have Chic Event Designs for your rental needs. Great two companies to work with and set your mind at ease!

The music was ok. Our DJ seemed to play "older people" music way too long. I wanted to hear more top 40's. He didn't get to all my "must play" songs. He was nice and kept the night...
moving, but I wish I heard more music I liked.

We used DNA for our wedding ceremony on the beach, and our reception at the Chart House restaurant. They included everything we needed in the package. Our DJ was great and was able...
to improvise when some things changed last minute. He found all of the music we requested, and added in some of his favorites that fit the theme well. We were very happy with the service!
