We had a wonderful experience with our wedding photographer! He was incredibly kind and took the time to thoroughly explain his services, making us feel at ease throughout the process. His attention to detail and professionalism were exceptional, and we couldn't be happier with the beautiful photos. Highly recommend!

For our special moment, we needed someone who would be able to capture everything as it was. We were looking for someone who could put together a simple production from our wedding day. We wanted the final production to be raw and Joel was able to give us just that. He is a professional at his craft and was a gem to have at our wedding.

Joel at Document the Wedding LLC was so great to work with! He was easy to schedule and was always on time, he was super flexible with the bride’s requests and - most of all - the videos were so great!! Joel is a master at the documentary style videos so he does interviews with all members of the wedding party and the Bride and Groom! He offers multiple video formats and was always so easy to work with! I would recommend Joel to anyone for any video needs, when you need an expert!!

Joel was a stand out vendor for my daughters wedding. A true MVP. His work ethic, honesty, communication skills and integrity stood out to my entire family. We consider ourselves blessed to have found him on The Knot. The quick pics he sent us are phenomenal. The videos are perfect and were delivered promptly. If you need a videographer for your wedding - hope you can get him. He should be booked up every weekend.

Wonderful job on our wedding video! Joel from No Frills Video came to our rescue after the first video company we'd booked went bankrupt months before our wedding, and we were left in a lurch. Joel is dependable and cares, and that's what we could immediately see through his work and his detailed, intricate process. Day-of, he showed up early (every couple's dream) and captured so many moments we would have otherwise never gotten to witness on our special day. His documentary style provided us with complete (not clipped) memories of our beautiful ceremony, first dance, etc. So special. There were definitely some tears shed throughout the family when we watched it back! Joel was a professional and worked great with our photographer, which was booked through another company. Speaking of professional, his scheduling was perfect, allowing enough time to set up his equipment, capture our first look, and be ceremony-ready. Following our big day, he stayed in touch regularly to update us on his progress, and he delivered us all the footage around 1 week later (extremely quick, especially considering this was over Thanksgiving!). Again, Joel really cares, and what more could a bride and groom hope from their videographer? Can't wait to show our future kids these memories one day. Thank you, Joel, for everything!

Exactly what I had wanted. Joel was able to capture the full day from the church ceremony to the reception. He was very prompt in sending the materials after the wedding. Quality was very good and we have enjoyed watched the videos with family.

If you’re looking for a videographer to capture the memory of your wedding day for years to come, Joel is your guy! He arrived early and captured so much content. He really knew what he was doing and was super intentional. The day after the wedding, he had pulled tons of stills from his multiple cameras and sent those over to us. So we immediately got to relive our wedding day through those photos! Although not a replacement for a photographer, it was wonderful to see the photos so quickly. When he delivered the finished video (less than two weeks after the wedding!!), the product was amazing. We are so so happy we booked, Joel! And would recommend him to any other couple

Joel was great! He arrived early to our venue and was able to take footage at several different angles. He gave us exactly what we wanted-- a documentary style type of video. His prices are also very reasonable and he finished everything in a timely manner!

We received a recommendation for No Frills after completing a search on theknot.com. No Frills is a very affordable option. Joel is a highly skilled videographer, with years of experience. He took the time to explain his process to us and captured every moment documentary style, all of the beautiful moments we loved about our wedding day. Joel is fantastic, he came all the way to Lampasas to do our wedding for a very reasonable travel fee. He was always professional, dedicated to his work, and was completely understanding when we had to delay the wedding due to covid! I would absolutely recommend him.

Joel provided a boatload of footage, both raw and conveniently put together which captured wonderfully our special day. He provided the materials in a very timely manner. Note: I ended up not having Joel film my wedding due to COVID complications. I am leaving this review because of how great he was to work with through the whole process. We booked Joel before COVID times, and the month before our wedding, we consulted with him. He adjusted his shooting practices a little to keep himself safe while at weddings, and was very transparent with us that he couldn't guarantee our final product if our guests weren't safe and wearing masks. We were a little anxious about that and were going to cancel altogether but Joel actually offered to set us up with some other videographer he knew who would be able to suit our needs a little better and on short notice. Even after all that, he sent a picture of our ripped up retainer check. Joel is an interesting guy who just wants to help out however he can, and he showed us that through great attitude and honesty during these crazy times. I would highly recommend working with him.

Invaluable in time of COVID-19 challenges! As my daughter's wedding approached on March 21, the Federal Government declared a national emergency on March 13 and local government and church officials advised weddings had to be no more than 10 in the church, presider and happy couple included, and no reception. Grandma at age 92 and the other out of town and local guest could not travel to Galveston. In the midst of this we scrambled for a videographer so we could send a delayed broadcast to those in lockdown. I contacted Joel and his guidance and technical advice was golden. He followed up daily in the run up to make sure the wedding would be captured on film. His approach was true compassionate and professionalism and giving, long after we mutually determined that logistics and lock down dictated (and fortuitous luck enabled) sourcing at the last minute a Galveston based videographer. In fact Joel had even offered for me to borrow his hi-def camera so I could shoot the wedding myself when it appeared I had no options. Joel cared that we got the moment captured, documentary style, hi-def, so we could share the memories with those in lock-down at home. It mattered not he was not to do the job. I am truly appreciative of his efforts, a simple yet great example of people extending human courtesy in time of tumult. Thank you, Joel!

Joel worked with us on a one week notice! I was stressing out and didn't know if we were going to be able to afford a videographer. However, Joel worked with us and his style of videography was exactly what I was looking for. I also loved the stills that he sent! I was able to show them to family and coworkers. I Will definitely recommend to friends and family in the future.

The videographer was very thorough and detailed on what to expect at the wedding/reception and gave us a set of expectations on how we would receive our video products. The quality of the video was very good and edited really well and we received the video in a timely fashion. My only feedback is for future weddings the videographer be sure to capture a video shot of the front of the wedding venue.

Joel delivered everything as promised! He was very thorough and told you right up front exactly what to expect. He had pictures to us within a couple of hours after the end of our wedding, and that was so nice to receive while you are still "riding the high" of wedding day. Joel lived up to his reviews. The quality of the videos were great! He even caught pictures that the photographers missed. Receiving stills from the wedding and reception the night of (yes that is correct), was amazing. We had pictures and videos to show our friends and family faster than the photographer. Expectations were set and delivered. Joel even came early and stayed late to make sure all aspects were captured. We would definitely hire Joel when we have another event needing video documentation!

Joel was very responsive and communicative and gave us all of his files from recording the wedding. He delivered on exactly what we agreed on. During the wedding, he was very actively involved in what was going on and was far more noticeable during the event than the photographer. If there are specific things you want him to do or to not do, you should be very clear and detailed about what you would like to happen.

Joel made the videography part of this easy on us. He fully explained everything in extreme detail in our meeting early on when we were booking, and everything he mentioned would be done...was done exactly the way he said it would be. He's very responsive and obviously has tons of experience doing this. We were receiving updates periodically following the wedding, including a "sneak peak" video that was sent to us around 4-5am, only hours after our wedding had ended. Made for a nice surprise when we woke up the next morning. Easily the most detail-oriented vendor we dealt with, and extremely easy to get a hold of if we needed anything or had questions. He even assisted me with my bowtie and cufflinks when rain threw a wrench in our well-planned festivities. You also get stillframe pictures from the video itself, which is fairly awesome, especially since you also get these a day or two after the wedding is over. I highly recommend Nofrills/Joel and am glad we hired him to be our videographer for the wedding. Thanks, Joel!

No frills video, don’t let the name fool you! The team sets up a number of cameras takes wonderful angles blends in with the crowd and just simply documents your event. I am so excited to see my footage and to have the memories that will last a lifetime! They have already shared some of the quick shots and they are outstanding!

We are very happy we went with No Frills Video for our videography needs at our wedding. Joel truly delivered on what he had promised us. Joel is very professional, detail oriented, and a stickler for preparedness. He was always upfront, honest, and clear on his scope and deliverables. On the day of the wedding, he was very aware of his surroundings and ensured he wouldn’t get in the way of the photographer. In fact, they seemed to work well together. The night of the wedding he sent us several still shots from the video. I loved that I was able to share photos from the wedding with our family at brunch the next morning! He provided all of the final deliverables promptly (a week after the wedding). He gave us several copies of DVDs/Blu-ray discs containing our complete wedding video and divided it into chapters (ceremony/first dance/cake cutting/ etc…) to make it easier to navigate. He also made a short video and provided all of the raw files to us in a hard drive we brought over to him. This is not a cinematography production, it is purely documentary style, but the picture quality was great and he did several edits to ensure consistent lighting and smooth transitions in the video. His services were truly a great value and we would definitely recommend No Frills Video to others. TLDR: Joel is very prepared and professional, and truly strives to make the experience smooth and to live up to the agreed upon expectations. He is very honest, open, and upfront. We were most impressed with the next-day deliverable of previous snapshots and the final deliverable of the wedding video a week later.

Joel was the perfect videographer for my husband and me - detail-oriented, responsive and most of all patient! Prior to our big day, Joel was very easy to work with and was amenable to our “ground rules” (e.g. photography takes priority to video, wear a suit, etc.) On the day of, Joel was everywhere and that allowed us to get a couple of scenes we never would have thought to capture. The still frames he sends the night of/early the following morning make for a fun honeymoon treat as you wait for your formal photos to come in. And then he will spare no excuse to ensure your dvd is cut the way you need it. He even downloaded a new lighting software for us! No Frills is names appropriately. It will not provide you a cinematic masterpiece made for prime time. But if you want a true-to-spirit time capture of the raw emotion of your big event, search no further than Joel. Joel is very detailed oriented and that showed in his work. He captured every detail of our wedding day! He is very personable and I received multiple compliments about him from our wedding guests! He sent us pictures on our wedding night so that we could have memories to share and see already! During our honeymoon he sent us pictures and videos.
