Great venue, great staff, great owners....seriously. Could not be more impressed with the professionalism and courtesy Steve and Jen showed us. They made our big day so easy to plan. If you're looking to get married in a barn style setting this is it. Look no further. The ceremony and reception were absolutely beautiful. They made our vision become a reality. The staff during the reception was very friendly and outgoing and the food was fantastic. Could not have asked for a more perfect day!

The venue is so beautiful and I am so thankful for all the hard work Steve and Jen and their team put into our reception. It was wonderful and all our guests had a good time. It was a little chilly (November wedding) but we had space heaters and a few blankets. Catering, decorating, setting up and tearing down are all handled by Steve, Jen, and the team. Jen handles all the little details and covers all the bases. She has plenty of decor and flowers to decorate to your taste. This venue is perfect for a rustic wedding/reception although we only used it for our reception. We couldn't have had a better reception.

My husband and I were married at Dodson Orchards in October 2018 and couldn’t have asked for a better wedding and reception venue! This rustic barn indoor/outdoor venue was everything we could’ve asked for and more! We held our ceremony in the beautiful rose garden, and had our reception afterwards in the barn. The Dodson’s took care of so much, they made it so easy for us to plan and then actually enjoy our day! Jen did an amazing job on the decor and Steve and the staff made the most delicious meal. All of our guests said they truly enjoyed everything and thought it was such a beautiful wedding! Thank you to Dodson Orchards for making our country rustic dream wedding a reality!

This venue was over the top! Every guest had a wonderful time and I cannot thank the owners enough for creating such a perfect day for us. Our favorite thing was how stress-free the entire process was. We live a few hours away and mostly communicated through email, but this did not put a damper on anything! Steve and Jen always answered my questions and responded promptly. When we arrived for the big day, everything was set up and ready to go. I highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting a simple outside wedding.

Dodson is an amazing place to have your dream rustic wedding! Its a beautiful setting, and the owners are easy to work with. Even tho it rained all day, and we had to move inside the barn, everything was just as beautiful as planned.

My wedding day was everything I could have ever dreamed and then some. Words really cant describe how wonderful this place truly is and now it forever holds a special place in my heart. Steve and Jen work so hard to make sure everything is as it should be. And even if things dont go according to planned (weather wise), they even have backup plans that turn out to be just as great, if not better than the original plans! They are so kind and flexible and do just about anything to make your day as special as it can be. The food is top notch, the decorations are beautiful and the over all look of the barn and scenery around you is absolutely breathtaking.

We were more than pleased with everything at Dodson Orchards! We had a prediction of strong rain the day of my son’s wedding. The owners were well prepared and responded by setting up large tents and provided a beautiful setting in their Barn for the wedding! Everyone that attended was so complimentary of the lovely decorations and atmosphere. They quickly transitioned the Barn for the Reception. The food was amazing and again blew our guests away. They were instrumental in providing a beautiful setting and memorable day for our bride, groom, family & guests!

Our wedding day was the most memorable & amazing day!!! The day (as well as the process) was smooth and perfect! Everyone...& I mean everyone, had a great time! I can't tell you how many people were still talking about how beautiful the ceremony, & wedding as a whole, was days after. We picked the PERFECT venue for our wedding! We fell in love with the venue & property right away!!! If you are looking for a gorgeous, outdoors, home feel venue... THIS IS IT!!! <3 Not to mention, Jen & Steve were very professional & punctual throughout the whole process. They were quick to respond to emails, texts, & phone calls. Most importantly, they are honest, down to earth, & overall amazing people & we enjoyed working with them! We are really hoping for the "Movie Under The Stars Night" very soon! :)

When beginning to plan our wedding, my now husband and I knew that we wanted to be outside and to feel like we were out in nature. When I pulled up to Dodson Orchard for the first time, I was completely blown away by how truly beautiful the venue and surrounding countryside were and knew that it was the perfect location for our wedding before even stepping out of the car. Jen and Steve did such incredible work creating a beautiful setting for our ceremony, and Jen created such a magical atmosphere with her decorations in the barn for the reception. She is amazingly talented. It was such a gift to just be able to show up on the day and know and trust that everything was not just done, but done exceptionally well. They were so helpful, responsive, and lovely in all of their correspondences with us in preparation for the day and my planning session with Jen was such a fun experience. Their staff was also professional and excellent on the day itself. I am still hearing from guests how the food was the best wedding food they have ever eaten, and the pie bar we had instead of cake was unbelievably delicious. There is truly not a single thing I would change about my wedding day at Dodson Orchards, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to any couple looking for an exceptional venue.

Mother of the Bride We live in Illinois near St. Louis, Missouri. When our daughter started looking for a wedding venue she found Dodson Orchards. We made an appointment to visit, loved the place and immediatley book the wedding which took place in October 2017. The Dodson Orchards grounds are beautiful. The owners Steve and Jen listened to us as we planned all the details. We were able to pick and choose items that made the wedding affordable and our daughter happy! On the day of the wedding, Steve, Jen and their work crew were ready to help with all the small details to make our only daughter's wedding special and unique for her and her husband. Our nephew's and niece's with small children loved the open country setting that allowed their children to run and play without worrying about traffic or cars! The food was great and all quests enjoyed the food and atmosphere! If you are looking for a rustice setting for a wedding do not hesitate to visit Dodson Orchards to see if it might meet your needs. So glad we found and book Dodson Orchards! Tip: We bought bamboo sparklers for the send off from: Spirit of 76 Fireworks near Columbia, Mo. You can find them online -we called, they shipped out the same day!

Everything was absolutely beautiful and could not have went more smoothly. I would recommend this venue to everyone! My husband and I had looked around for over a year trying to find the perfect venue and we definitely found it here! Working with Jen and Steve was an awesome experience and they did everything they could to make sure the night went perfectly. All we had to do was show up the wedding day, they take care of EVERYTHING, it was so relaxing and I can't imagine having my big day anywhere but here.

Steve and Jen were wonderful to work with and made everything so easy for us. It is such an all inclusive venue that there really wasn't much left to do once we had the initial planning meeting with them. They kept in touch with us the week before about the weather, and we were thrilled to be able to have it outside although they would have taken care of moving everything inside if we needed to. Jen decorated everything beautifully for the reception and even added last minute touches to make it perfect that day! The food was delicious and our guests couldn't stop raving about how great everything was! We opted to do the pie bar instead of cake and it was delicious. Thanks for making our daughter's wedding day picture perfect in every way!

What an amazing day! Jen and Steve at Dodson Orchards really made our day perfect and special! From the food to the decorating to the overall venue we could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our day! If planning from a distance is a concern these are the people you want to work with! Everything was picture perfect, we would do it all over again tomorrow! Thank you again!

If you want a stress free wedding day this is the place for you! Jen and Steve took care of absolutely everything we needed and ensured that our wedding day turned out perfectly. This venue is a one stop shop as they provide food, beverages, decorations, and a beautiful grounds for both a ceremony and reception. We had some picky eaters and vegans at our wedding and they were able to accommodate their diets without any problem. My only wish is that I had a bigger appetite to eat some of the delicious food!

The venue itself is so country and so beautiful. Most all of the decorations were taken care of by Jenn and she did an amazingly wonderful job at everything. The venue is spacious (we were quite comfortable at 182 guests) and, unless the weather goes sour, there is absolutely no reason not to enjoy your wedding at Dodson. One issue we did have was in communication with Steve over the issue of craft beer. Alcohol selection was very important to us. We wanted more than just Bud & Bud Light at our wedding and at times it felt like pulling teeth to find out what our options were in the way of craft beer. Ultimately, Steve talked us away from going more than 25% craft beer and the result was that we were out of craft beer by 8:45pm, 2 hours before last call. When I did get to the bar around last call I came to find out they had been out of a lot of things for most of the night (tonic, craft beer...) Jack Daniels was the only thing left by that time in the way of "premium" liquor. Overall it was a beautiful venue and we got lots of compliments on how amazing it all was. The bonfire and smores were a huge hit! We would pick this venue all over again if we could (with the hopes that the alcohol situation would go a bit more smoothly).

Dodson Orchards was incredible on my wedding in May. Everything looked amazing! It was as if I arrived and everything was perfectly in place. They were so accommodating and I couldn't of asked for a better day. If you are looking for rustic and country beautiful, then this is the place for you!!
