Doe Donuts

I always wanted donuts at my wedding. I was never really one to dream up my ideal wedding and the planning process nearly drained the life out of me, but when we found Doe Donuts, I realized my dream to have donuts at the wedding would actually come true. Suddenly the planning became fun, because who doesn't like picking out amazing donut flavors?! We decided to make all of the food for our wedding ourselves so we could keep it all vegan, but wanted to leave dessert to the professionals. We were so happy to find an ALL vegan donut business that was just starting up that we could support. From the moment I contacted Doe Donuts they were attentive to giving me all the information I needed to place the order and made sure I knew that I had options, like ordering mini donuts instead of full size so guests could get to try more donuts and more flavors. Carly opened up her donut flavor archive to me and let me know that they could probably also work with me to creative a new flavor if there was something specific I wanted or even matching colors to a wedding theme. I nearly lost myself drooling over donut flavors for like 4 days. It was the highlight of the wedding planning to be sure. Finally we settled on mini donuts so that we could try more flavors. We had about 45 people at our wedding and got about 8 dozen mini donuts. The donuts were mini only compared to Doe Donuts standard donut size, but they were not miniature by any means. We went with the blueberry earl grey fritter, strawberry milk, chocolate chip cookie dough with choc ganache on chocolate raised dough, and pretzel cinnamon sugar and were utterly satisfied with our choices. For the quality of ingredients, and artisan works of art that the donuts were they were very affordable in the realm of wedding desserts! They were a huge hit at our wedding, vegan and non vegan guests alike were ooing and aahing all evening over the donuts. Our wedding was at the Oregon coast and we needed to arrange an early morning pickup from PDX from one of our guests. Carly was very flexible and understanding with this, even when the pick up time and person changed a couple times once the wedding chaos ensued. The donuts were boxed, beautiful and ready for pick up when my friend arrived. They also stayed delicious and fresh considering their journey for our reception which was that afternoon. The donuts were absolutely one of our favorite parts of the wedding. If you are wanting donuts at your wedding vegan or not, I cannot recommend highly enough the beautiful, delicious works of art that Doe Donuts has to offer for your big day.
