There really isn't a way to accurately describe how unbelievably incredible Dogwood Gatherings is - THIS is the team you want on your side as you plan your wedding, we promise! From the very beginning Addie was our cheerleader, advisor, friend, and fiercest advocate. She wowed us right away with her warm and friendly presence, commitment to excellence, and dedication to a true partnership with us in the wedding planning process. New to the state and certainly new to wedding planning we knew we wanted (and needed!) someone by our side to make our dream day a reality and we knew immediately that Addie was the right choice. The knowledge that Addie has about planning a wedding in general is fantastic and the knowledge she has about individual vendors in the area is so impressive. We truly knew nothing and Addie right away knew what vendors to go with that would match our vision, be in our budget, and be LGBTQ+ friendly which was very important to us as a same-sex couple. She laid out our options, gave us the facts (and her honest opinions!) and let us take the reins in selecting our vendors. Not surprisingly, every single vendor recommended to us was PERFECT. If any issues ever arose Addie shot it to us straight and let us know what was going on but stayed by our side and advocated for us in making sure everything was exactly as it should be. She didn't sugar coat but also didn't let us spiral by presenting facts and solutions. She was truly an advocate for us. She was always able to calm our nerves, answer our hundreds of stupid questions, and always did so with kindness and honesty. On the wedding day, Addie managed everything with ease. She rolled with the punches, was quick on her feet to problem-solve, and managed our large family with ease! We know now that there were [small] issues that came up on the big day but we never even knew day-of because Addie was so swift to make everything perfect. We could rave about Addie for hours but we'll leave it with this - if you want someone who truly cares about you and your wedding and will advocate for you and be with you during one of the most exciting times in your life, go with Dogwood Gatherings. We had the pleasure of working with Addie for the last year and a half for our wedding. Our venue recommended Addie to us when we had an emergency situation. Our previous planner suddenly decided to no longer work on my wedding, so I had to pivot and find a new planner. From the moment I spoke to Addie on the phone, I knew she was the perfect match for us! She quickly sprang into action and reassured me that she would help me every step of the way. She helped with everything from vendor recommendations to communication with vendors and scheduling monthly check-ins leading up to the wedding. I frequently relied on Addie for her expertise and knew she was always just a call or a text away. On the day of the wedding, Addie and her team ensured everything ran smoothly. We were able to relax and fully enjoy our day, knowing that all the logistics were taken care of. Addie was right by our sides to ensure we were on schedule, had refreshments, and were comfortable. We would have been totally lost without her. Our guests were equally impressed and had a fantastic time. I could not have asked for a better wedding day. We worked with Dogwood Gatherings (Addie & Michael) to plan our wedding for almost two years and could not have asked for a better experience!! Not only did Addie field our numerous questions at all times of day and respond very promptly, but she also eased all of our concerns throughout the wedding planning process-guest list, family preferences, seating chart, quality vendors to recommend...you name it, and Addie is there! Addie goes above and beyond her job-she even came with me to my final dress fitting to offer support and advice. Her organization, communication, and thoughtfulness are incredible! During the week before and the day of our wedding, Addie was a complete QUEEN! Having worked together for almost two years ahead of the wedding, Addie got to know our personalities and preferences and was able to make our special day seamless! Truly could not have asked for a better experience with Dogwood Gatherings—if you are considering them for your wedding planning services, DO IT!!! You will not regret your decision!

We used Dogwood Gatherings to help plan our mid-sized ( < 100 guest) wedding this past summer using their partial planning service. Throughout the entire process, Addie made herself perpetually available and eager to answer all of our questions. Whether by text, phone, video call, or in-person, Addie was a wealth of information at our disposal day and night. Particularly helpful were her curated lists of trusted vendors, especially because we were rarely in town and so often had to evaluate vendors remotely. All of her recommendations were excellent, and we felt as though she was as invested in the success of our event as us. Her husband was also a great resource on our actual wedding day, assisting with whatever odds and ends we needed help with. We would recommend this service for any couple looking for wedding insight in the Triangle!

Choosing Dogwood Gatherings was one of the best decisions I made during my wedding planning. Addie was extremely helpful, thoughtful, and always available to me during the entire process. Our special day could not have gone more smoothly thanks to her! She relieved so much stress and answered any and all of my questions. The services that Addie and Dogwood Gatherings provide is the steal of the century. So reasonably priced for ALL that they do. Addie herself is a delightful person and so wonderful to work with. I was a pretty apathetic bride without much of a knack for design and decor. She went above and beyond to cover my blindspots and make our wedding beautiful - all along the way intently listening to what we wanted and our budget. Her recommendations and connections all over town for vendors makes her invaluable. She knows seemingly everyone in the industry here in Raleigh that made everything a breeze (some of whom even gave us discounts because we were working with her). Dogwoods inventory of decor also saved us a small fortune. That is yet another added perk of working with them. I cannot recommend Addie, her husband Mike, and this company enough. They are SO much more than "coordinators" -- they are there to help with anything and are just really great people.

Addie is AMAZING. We had to reschedule our wedding in 2020, and she made that a breeze. She was such a fantastic help in planning and even came with us to pick out our linens, plates, and silverware. We were so overwhelmed, but she walked us through everything and made it a lot easier. She helped us with our timeline, design, and layout, and that was all before the wedding day. On the actual day, Addie and Michael were WONDERFUL. I really felt like I didn't have to do anything except sit back and enjoy getting ready. Because they took care of the room flip, my husband and I were able to mingle with our guests and really spend some time with everyone. I really did feel like a guest at my own wedding! If you're thinking about hiring a coordinator, stop thinking and hire Addie. Wedding planning (and your wedding day!) will not be stressful or challenging. You can really focus on yourself and your partner at your wedding!

Addie did an AMAZING job for my husband and I. She was super fantastic leading up to the wedding and helpful with decisions we needed help with. Answered all of our questions or would find answers. She would give her honest recommendations on other vendors as well. Week of the wedding, our day of forecast changed from just cold to predicting 3+ inches of snow. Addie helped with calling and confirming vendors, changing plans, changing plans back, make sure we were taken care of, and showed up day of ready to go! Day of, Addie helped set everything up like we designed, road to the ceremony, figured out our cake was never delivered and worked to find a solution. She stopped at the one store open on the way back to the venue and got all of the cake she could. End of the night, no one knew our cake was ever missing and everyone loved what we had. She helped take care of us and all of our guests. I have recommended Addie to all our recently engaged and soon to be engaged couples. She was so easy and fun to work with as well! Amazing amazing AMAZING!! I’d give her 10 stars if I could!

My wife and I hired Addie to assist with coordinating our wedding. During the whole planning and implementation process she was very easy to reach. She was quickly to respond to any calls/ texts/ emails at any reasonable time of the day or night, even over the weekend. We asked her assistance in reaching out to some vendors and she did a great job coordinating their work and payment, even arranging a discount when possible! She accompanied my wife to the catering tasting to give inputs about the menu and went with her to the venue to plan and arrange how things would be laid out. For the day of the event requirements you'll want to ensure you are detail oriented and quite specific with everything you need brought or things you want to happen during the event. Some small things either didn't happen or were not used. Nothing a guest would notice, but it meant some of our costs and work did not bear fruit. She was extremely flexible though, and always did her best to accommodate any requests we made. She did make herself very useful with things like making sure the sword used to cut the cake was promptly cleaned and things like that. She was great with the setup and super great during the cleanup afterwards. She made sure everything was taken care of and cleared out, and even got on hands and knees to scrub a stain out of a carpet!

Addie was absolutely amazing! She was such a great help with our wedding! Addie and her husband set up our venue the day of the wedding and it turned out even better than I imagined! It started to rain right at the end of our ceremony when cocktail hour/family picture time was supposed to begin and Addie managed to rearrange the schedule seamlessly so that we could get everyone inside for dinner and THEN do pictures after the rain stopped. All the guests said that they thought that's how it was supposed to be and had no idea changes to the schedule were even made. She also did a great job not only the day of but also with the planning process. We went with a few different vendors that she recommended (photographer and DJ) and they were amazing as well. She helped me fit everything we wanted to do into the schedule and always had a solution for any little problems that popped up. Dogwood Gatherings is amazing and I would HIGHLY recommend!!!!!

Addie was instrumental in my wedding planning! She was very familiar with my venue with was amazingly helpful. Having someone to manage everything on the actual day was extremely necessary and I was able to completely enjoy my wedding day! Even with the craziness of lots of rebooked COVID weddings and what I'm sure is a very full calendar, I felt like I always got individual attention leading up to my wedding. A day-of coordinator is a must-have and Dogwood Gatherings was so helpful and a great value!

She helped put my mind at ease every time we talked and took care of everything day of so my friends, family, and myself could just enjoy the whole day! She even took care of flowers and decor!! Her husband Mike helped us for the rehearsal and day of and was so great! Loved having them for my big day! Wouldn’t recommend anyone else ❤️

Addie and Michael did an AMAZING job throughout the wedding planning process! They both helped keep me and my now husband (feels weird to type lol) and our families calm and relaxed. The day of went so smoothly and while obviously little things here and there didn’t go exactly as planned, I never knew about it because they both made it work and smoothed out everything. I can’t recommend them enough!

Hands down the best decision I made for my wedding. Addie was available for anything anytime. Text, call, email, she responded so fast. The day of the wedding I had no worries because I knew she would make everything perfect and she went beyond my expectation. Every question I had she already handled and was always a step ahead of me. She truly made my day 100x less stressful. I would not and could not do it without her!

This company is the best. Addie saved me from a terrible wedding coordinator that vanished without any explanation. Addie and Michael did everything to help, please and assist us and their service is AMAZING. Absolutely love them! Addie is amazing and I could not have done this without her. I used to plan events for a living so I know how much is involved in planning/coordinating an event like a wedding (that's why I hired a planner). She exceeded all of my expectations and more! She was on top of EVERYTHING. My friends commented on how relaxed I was leading up to the wedding. I had unlimited contact with her and she always responded in a timely manner. She provided advice when asked and always laid out my options clearly. She also managed the challenges at our venue so that I would not have to stress about them. I cannot explain enough, how much Addie contributed to making my big day wonderful and worry-free. She is amazing!

Addie is a genius! Our wedding could never have happened so flawlessly without her. Many brides reading this review know how stressful it is to plan an event, and how much additional pressure a global pandemic puts on the day. When I hired Addie to help with coordinating my wedding, she sincerely wanted to help us have the best wedding day, and she and Michael absolutely delivered! She helped us through a venue change, a guest list cut, and many seating chart revisions. She helped me stay calm and collected even when I didn't know what to expect. She made my reception space look absolutely breathtaking, and let us really enjoy our special day while she handled the details. Addie even helped us track down wayward vendors and helped me figure out details I may have been missing leading up to the wedding. If you work with her, you are doing yourself a huge favor!

Addie has been fantastic helping us navigate handling our wedding during the pandemic. We hired Addie to serve as our month of coordinator. Right off the bat she was quick to respond by email, text and calls. Even after we decided to cancel our wedding Addie has been there to help us navigate working with our other vendors. She kindly invited us to be a part of a styled wedding shoot where we got to dress up in wedding attire and take photos. It was a fantastic day and such a joy during an otherwise difficult time to be planning a wedding. I would highly recommend Addie- she's trustworthy and GREAT at what she's does!

We worked with dogwood gatherings and events for our wedding. We highly recommend them. They were very sweet and took on our wedding less than a week before it started. We had some issues with our first wedding planner and ended up hiring dogwood gatherings and we were so glad we did. They went above and beyond! They were very easy to talk to and we would definitely hire them again in the future.
