Dolce Bakery

also delicious!! Would recommend to anyone getting married, and will definitely work with them for future events too!

munication and worked with my husband and I when we needed to make changes to our order. We would 100% recommend them!

e pie tarts. Our wedding was small, so we were thrilled to find a bakery that can provide one tier cakes that are still so beautiful! Everyone talked about how delicious the desserts were, and our cake was so charming. We're planning on stopping back by on our one year anniversary to celebrate!

ing cake came out stunning and beyond our expectations! The multiple flavors for our cake were out of this world delicious. We can not recommend them more for your wedding cake & dessert needs!

any special occasion! Also, I had a dog figuring created to put on the wedding cake to add a pop of our fur child on our day. Dolce was so kind to help out and dig out a small part of the cake and make it look our dog took a bite out of the cake! I mean just above and beyond service!

because of how delicious everything is. I genuinely have dreams about the flourless chocolate tortes!

autiful and they work so hard to make it exactly how you imagine it! Book them now!!!

working with couldn't tell us which sample was Almond and which was Vanilla - we had to taste and figure it out. She didn't have a ton of recommendations and seemed bothered to be there working with us. That being said, you hire a bakery for the cake - not their wedding salesperson - and Dolce is the best! We got a ton of compliments on our cake, and Dolce has great relationships with KC venues/vendors so day-of was very smooth.

c and our need for multiple types of cookie sandwiches. We had them create a cookie cake that looked like a true tiered wedding cake, and it was the biggest hit of the night. Dolce is never anything short of heaven in your mouth. Could not recommend them more for your wedding cake or dessert needs!

ver flavors, design and how many tiers we wanted. The Dolce team has been nothing but kind and quick to respond to all of my emails. The cake tasted absolutely amazing and the design was perfection. We did a solid buttercream around a 5- layer cake (each layer being different cake flavor and filling)- Our guests could not stop talking about how amazing the cake tasted. We cannot wait to celebrate our one year with the top layer that we saved! Thank you to Dolce for designing the most perfect and delicious cake for our special day! :) - Zack and Rebecca Pearson

uickly responsive to any questions I had. 10/10 would recommend dolce for any event.

what we wanted. They even accommodated us promptly when we made changes along the way. Thank you for everything!

ake and eat it at home. We had three different types of cupcakes and a cake for my husband and I to cut. They looked simple and beautiful, which is exactly what I wanted. We had multiple people comment on how good the cupcakes were! Our favorite was vanilla cake with raspberry frosting and my biggest regret of the day was not getting more than just the bite of cake I took with my husband when we cut our cake, but that is obviously on me. My only complaint was that my wedding planner didn't get CCd on an email in regards to order size so we ended up with to many cupcakes. There are many worse fates though and neither my parents nor my husbands parents complained about going home with some extra cupcakes!

desired aesthetic (simple and elegant). The cake and dessert table looked and tasted amazing! Highly recommend them for delicious KC desserts!

ught about getting our wedding cake from anywhere else. Everyone on the Dolce team was easy to work with and made the process stress free. The cake tasting was really fun! We chose a three-tiered wedding cake, with each layer being a different flavor, and all three turned out amazing. Seriously, our wedding guests could not believe how good the cake tasted. We even used their Guinness espresso chocolate cake - which they only offer twice a year on St. Patrick's day and Father's Day - as our groomsmen's cake, and everybody loved it as well. You will not be disappointed if you choose Dolce for any occasion!

- We received so many wonderful compliments from our guests about both! Everyone LOVED the pumpkin spice/caramel cupcakes in particular, but the almond (with a cherry on top) was my absolute favorite - we'll be ordering some for just us here soon if I have anything to do with it : ) We absolutely recommend Dolce for everything from a weekend cup of coffee and pastry to a 10 their wedding cake - you won't regret it either way and Dolce just can't be topped!

how I couldn't wait to have a piece, in the months leading up to the wedding. Everyone laughed and said I wouldn't actually get a piece, because I would be too busy. I laughed back at them and told them I would, this Dolce cake is THAT good! On the night of our wedding, I saw the servers set the cake down and I went to grab it, hid at a table with my aunt, and ate that ENTIRE piece of wedding cake. I can't wait to go back and get another cake to celebrate our year. I'm sure we'll be back in between though.

rk with. They sat us down and walked us through all of our options at our cake tasting. They worked with us to produce exactly what our vision was. I had so many people come up to me at the wedding to express how good the cake and French macarons were. I know I’m going to have to put in a small order soon because I seriously cannot wait for our one year!

h as well. Highly recommend!!!

uper flexible, even when we had to change our order several times due to COVID. You will not regret choosing them!

we decided to use them also. Working with them was so easy. Tasting was great, design process was quick and easy, and pick up the morning of the wedding was a breeze.

cake. Even let us have a custom cake flavor to go with the frosting we LOVED (lemon cake for the raspberry frosting) and the sugared berries were a huge hit! Absolutely the best cake, and we tried multiple vendors around KC.. So many bakeries make their items overpoweringly sweet, but Dolce’s was perfect! We were taking photos while they delivered and set up, but from what we heard from people helping was that they were a joy to work with! We appreciate them so much!!

sert bar. The options for desserts as well as the flavors were endless and so so tasty! From the initial tasting to the final products, everything turned out amazing. For anyone looking for quality dessert and great staff, this is definitely the place!

al times leading up to the wedding, and Dolce always had accurate notes about what was going on. When we postponed due to COVID-19 six days before the wedding, they made rescheduling easy. They even wrote a card to accompany the "consolation cake" I bought for our intended March date. Our final guest count in July was less than we originally paid for, so Dolce yet again modified the side cake plans and gave us a store credit. Our hearts and stomachs were touched by Dolce. I see why all our other vendors recommended them!

ore the wedding to bring to the venue. Upon arrival, the bakery told him they mixed up the dates and thought the pick up date was the following day. They hurried and made the cake but told him he would have to come back that evening to pick it up. We were extremely stressed by this as we had to start planning how to get to the bakery in the middle of our rehearsal dinner that night. The bakery did not offer anything to make up for the inconvenience. It was not until one of my bridesmaids called and told them that the mistake was on their part and they needed to deliver the cake that they did something. They still were not willing to deliver to the reception space but said they would come to the church during the rehearsal instead because it was closer. When we saw the cake, it was decorated very beautifully and how we asked, so I truly appreciated that. However, the next day when we cut into it, we found that it was the wrong flavor. It was really disappointing how the last two days went with Dolce because our initial impression of them was great. Jessica was very nice, answered all our questions and we loved our tasting with them. I just hoped we would have received more professionalism from them when they messed up.

ring the months between the tasting and the wedding, Jessica answered all of my questions about design and rentals and was very helpful. On the day of the wedding one of the first things I did upon arriving at the venue was go see the cake. I was so excited to see how it turned out because I'd spent hours dreaming up the perfect design. I was very disappointed when I saw it. It was not at all like the pictures and design I had described to them. On the up side, they were very nice about it after the fact. They refunded half of what we paid and offered to make us an anniversary cake next year. When looking at these reviews myself and deciding on my vendors, I found it helpful when people gave constructive feedback. So, my advice is to just triple confirm that Dolce understands your vision for your cake. If it's a classic cake, or a scraped design and is fairly simple, you probably won't have an issue. But if you're going for something more unique, just make sure they are completely on board!

atform to fill out all the necessary information you wouldn’t even think you would need with regard to your wedding cake—making it seamless for the Dolce team to execute and requiring fewer emails. Thanks for bringing our simplistic two-tier vision to life and helping us pick the perfect flavor pairing!

vision and ,of course, the cake was absolutely delicious! We also did a dessert bar, which was super fun to put together and they have a huge variety of items to include in it. The cake was a highlight of the night and our guests loved it!

rovider. From the moment I scheduled a consult to the cake tasting with the bakers to the actual day of my wedding was such a breeze. Also, they are very reasonably priced. These ladies truly bring perfection to their baked goods. Frosting was delicious, cake was so flavorful, moist and overall presentation was so adorable! Any time I need a cake order- they get my business. I encourage anyone and everyone in the KC area to give them a try!!!

. When we told people we were using them they would simply say “it’s the only way to go” and man they were right!

They were all delicious, especially the coconut. And the price was very reasonable.

iers since it was delicious and we had several guests asking for a piece of it. Our dessert bar was also excellent - we got the oatmeal cream pies, key lime tarts, and brownie cheesecake. We ran out of the oatmeal cream pies and key lime tarts right away and had guests commenting a week later those were some of the best desserts they had ever had. Dolce was a great choice!

nd all the questions we had before committing. Not to mention the endless flavor possibilities they offer.

en we were planning our wedding, my one request was: I do not want this cake to taste like wedding cake. Jessica and the staff at Dolce Bakery were so wonderful: from the tasting to the presentation and taste of our cake. We were presented with several options, and initially I was sold on the dark chocolate cake with salted caramel cream filling. After the tasting, this choice was SO DIFFICULT! All of their cake flavors were so delicious that I wanted all of them! The cake was light and fluffy, their filling options were all scrumptious, and I could be thrown into a vat of their vanilla cream icing and die happy. We ended up choosing the chocolate cake with salted caramel cream, carrot cake with pecan praline filling, and lemon cake with alternating layers of lemon curd and raspberry cream (the groom’s cake) all covered with their vanilla cream icing. I sent Jessica a photo of my cake choice (a watercolor cake) and then sent her a picture of the purple color I wanted to be on the cake. It was BEAUTIFUL! They did such a great job and everyone kept commenting on how pretty the cake was. And the taste was EXCEPTIONAL! All of our guests and the other vendors kept asking us who baked our cake; it was a huge hit! Additionally, the staff at Dolce Bakery are so accommodating! I wanted to surprise my groom with his cake. He is a WSU Shockers fan and I am an LSU Tigers fan, so naturally I could not let his Shockers groom’s cake go unanswered. I contacted Jessica about somehow making the inside of the cake purple (he had yellow lemon cake layers), and they jumped right in on the fun to dye the raspberry cream purple. They drove our cake 1 1/2 hours to our wedding site and set up the cake. It was gorgeous! We will definitely use Dolce Bakery in the future for birthdays, anniversaries, and just snacks!

helped us decide on our pairings. We ordered a smaller 2 layer cake and sheet cakes for our guests. The red velvet is to die for and we ran out of that one first with leftover with family and friends! We also had the lemon with lemon curd and raspberry filling, as well as a salted caramel cake! All of which were delicious. They are so friendly and helpful with making your cake come to life. Definitely recommend!!

! It turned out to be cake from Dolce Bakery and you can bet it was one of the highlights of our wedding! Dolce prepared the prettiest 6-tier cake for our wedding with flowers just as we had pictured. Dolce made the cake process so easy--they designed a cake exactly how we imagined and everything was set up perfectly day of. We had SO many complements about how delicious the cake was. If you want the best possible cake, Dolce is the way to go :)

s if our cake was the only thing she was working on. She reached out to me for any details needed (which is nice when I was overwhelmed with wedding decisions) and she was helpful in making the cake decisions. Delivery went off perfectly and they provided cake boxes for taking home the leftovers. My husband has already requested the chocolate "wedding cake" from Dolce for his birthday this year. Thank you to Dolce and to Jessica for making our wedding day so yummy & beautiful! We will be back for more!

beginning and executed it perfectly! And it tasted amazing!

omer service as well!
