tiple places and the customer service I received when I reached out after my wedding was mind-blowingly atrocious. I chose Donna Beth Creations due to the volume of good reviews and the actual process of getting my dress altered, I had zero issues with. I had 3 appointments, the people I worked with were lovely and helpful, and they packed my dress in a suitcase for me on my last visit so I could fly to Atlanta. It was extremely upsetting to me that on the day of my wedding, the hook and eye closure on the top of my dress snapped clean off the dress within 2 minutes of putting it on. My mom had to sew me into my dress [to be clear, my body size had not changed throughout the alterations process]. The most distressing though was the complete and total failure of the bustle on my dress. I had a long, lace ballgown style dress where the lining was bustled with ties underneath [no issues with that] and then my outer lace train had an English bustle. I had 5 buttons along the waist of my dress with small fishing line loops on the outside of the skirt. By the end of my first dances with my dad and my husband, 2 of the 5 had failed. 1 had failed irrevocably and had ripped a hole in my dress. 4 of 5 failed by the end of the night and I missed pieces of my reception trying to repair them and was ultimately just holding my dress train for most of the end of the night. THE WORST PART was trying to work with Donna to find a resolution after the fact. It took me 4 months, 20 emails [I counted], and multiple phone calls to resolve this situation with Donna. It took 1 month to get her to review my case and to her credit, she offered a satisfactory resolution at that point. Had it ended there, I would not be writing this review. However, it then took me 3 MORE MONTHS with an INSANE amount of follow ups both over phone and email to receive the refund she had promised me. I went through promises of a check being in the mail [never received], ignored emails where I provided my Zelle and address, and so many excuses that I finally told her I was showing up to the shop. It was only the last one that seemed to trigger a response and I received the refund. It truly felt to me that she was just hoping I'd forget about this and she wouldn't have to follow through on her promise. The dress failure on my wedding day made me sad, but I made the best of it. What absolutely is unacceptable and rage inducing to me is the tragic customer service I received after the fact.
