Donna is a very talented amazing photographer. She puts her heart into her photography, you can tell when you are working with her that she truly enjoys what she does. Donna was able to make my husband and I feel so comfortable during our elopement. The pictures came out more beautifully than we could have imagined. She really gets you to be yourself in front of the camera, you forget it is there. You are just having fun with the one you love and enjoying the whole experience with them!!! She also worked closely with our wedding planner to make our day intimate and special in every possible way. Finding the perfect spot for our special day, the views were stunning and everything we wanted and more!! This was truly a fairy tale wedding that my husband and I could share together. The memories will last us a lifetime. Being on a glacier it was a bit chilly, but Donna was ready to go with hand warms to keep us nice and toasty in between pictures. She was able to capture the love my husband and I share towards each other so beautifully and naturally. I would recommend Donna for any of your photography needs. She really does go above and beyond and even worked with us to be able to get some night campfire shots!!

Donna is amazing! She is a wonderful person and such a talented photographer! Donna was helpful every step of the way! She helped us create a wedding timeline and determined when taking photos would work best within the timeline. I was nervous having a winter wedding with the limited day light, but she has perfect vision for photos using the light available. She has you fill-out a questionnaire that is very thorough, ensuring you get all of the photos that are important to you and family combinations. I would book Donna again for my wedding in a heartbeat, I can’t recommend her enough! If you need a photographer for your wedding, Donna is your girl!

Donna was fantastic on the day of our Wedding. When my wife and I got engaged, we decided, with the uncertainty of COVID, we didn't want to keep making plans and changing/rescheduling so we decided on a simple elopement, but she insisted on a kick-ass photo set. After much researching, my wife picked out Donna Marie, and couldn't be happier. Donna not only helped her get ready on the day of, but kept the party going, along with our planner Madison (AK Wild Hearts). From the First Look, to the Helicopter Flight, to the Hike, the Ceremony, the Picnic, and the flight back, her camera never stopped. We just got back, and the final album of digitals is still being actively reviewed and processed before we'll get a chance to see them, but if the sneak peaks are any indication, we're VERY excited to see what's in store. We knew as soon as we were engaged who we wanted to capture our special day. Donna completely blew all our expectations out of the water from our first engagement session to our final wedding photo gallery. From the beginning, Donna was very easy to communicate with and also more than flexible. We ended up having to post-pone our wedding an entire year due to COVID-19 and Donna was 100% on board. Her planning platform and questionnaires are very fun and easy for her clients to use. She makes sure to understand interesting family dynamics before your wedding day to avoid any awkward photo moments. She takes into account any special requests or photos that you would like. She also was very helpful with the day of timeline and the overall planning process. On wedding day, Donna was absolutely amazing! She was running around like crazy (from what my MOA said) and even was texting with my MOA to not miss special moments if she was in the groom's suite and something great was about to happen in the bridal suite. Donna is super fun and worked great with all of my vendors. She was also beyond patient with my family and the craziness of family photos. Donna flew out to Knik Glacier with us and captured the most beautiful photos of us. She was 100% on top of all the great shots. She made us feel very comfortable and natural during our couples shots. I never was stressed out knowing that Donna was on top of things. You won't regret hiring Donna Marie Photography to capture your wedding day or any other special occasion. She will bring a tear to your eye every time with the final product! When we decided to elope in AK, we knew we wanted a stellar photographer to capture our day, but we also wanted someone to help us navigate all things AK since we are not from the area. Donna EXCEEDED all our expectations; she provided ample resources from places to stay, places to eat, things to do/see AND she takes amazing photos. We got married in the off season, so we got our gallery back quicker than I thought - and she sent us sneak peaks! She captured our day in a way I didn't think possible. She made us feel like the only 2 people in the world and incorporated the smallest of details both in the photos and in her prompts for our pictures. She was so thoughtful (brought handwarmers, leggings, snacks, and everything you may need). I wish I lived in AK so she could capture all our moments.

Donna is incredible! She was my wedding photographer and I wouldn’t have had it any other way! She was amazing on the wedding day, I adore every picture I got, everything was so perfect. I will definitely be a repeat customer, and look forward to photo shoots with Donna as my family grows!

I highly highly HIGHLY recommend Donna for anyone needing a photographer, especially if your looking for a small wedding/elopement!!!! My husband and I flew in from the lower 48 to AK for an intimate wedding with our close family and friends and we absolutely LOVED having Donna as our photographer! We were not able to make a trip up before the week of the wedding and she was a HUGE help with suggesting venues and being flexible with the location! We would not have found such a beautiful spot for our ceremony without her help. Not to mention how much we are all in LOVE with every single moment she captured from our special day! Every image was unique and MORE than we could’ve wished for! Her positive and adventurous personality, reliable communication and easy going attitude made working with her such a stress-free experience. We will definitely be booking a follow up session on our next visit to AK!

My husband and I were blessed with the opportunity to have Donna be our photographer. Our session took place outside at the end of November in Alaska, needless to say, it was freezing... like -3°f freezing! Donna came prepared to our shoot with a wide variety of props, hand warmers and other items to add extra dynamic for our shots and to help make things easier. I’m so incredibly awkward when it comes to having my photos taken. I never know what to do. Donna made me feel completely comfortable! Her extensive knowledge of poses, lighting and landscape were the major key factors that were able to set my mind at ease and made the session a breeze!! I had my engagement photos done by Donna and she was absolutely amazing—met us in subzero temps and, despite our lack of professional picture experience, made us feel completely comfortable. Instead of stereotypical poses (which she would totally do too if you wanted to!!), she made sure to capture moments that were sincere and completely us. Donna is absolutely amazing! When I first inquired about having her photograph our intimate wedding, I knew she was the person for us. Very down to earth and willing to help us find the best places, since we had never been to Alaska before and didnt have much planned.
