Donna's Custom Flowers

They are absolutely one of the best florists. My florist cancelled on me on Monday. My wedding was on Saturday. Donna put all the flowers together and saved the day. I'm so thankful she was able to put everything together by then. The flowers were beautiful. She added so many details I couldn't even think of.

Donna is incredible. She's attentive, passionate and a trusted professional. Plus she was able to make my dream bouquet a reality with flowers that far surpass any I have ever seen through other vendors. For our wedding I had a huge waterfall bouquet with giant lilies, BOM (blue/purple) orchids and magenta orchids. All the girls had orchids in their hair. So unique, so perfect. Hands down, Donnas Custom Flowers is the best around!

I chose Donna's Flowers when a friend recommended her to me after using her for her own wedding. She warned me that Donna was a little scatter-brained, but told me that was happy with her decision (and having gone to her wedding, I saw for myself the flowers were beautiful). My friend was right, she tended to be a bit forgetful, but the quality of work she did was outstanding. I brought in some photos of what I was hoping to achieve for the wedding at our first meeting and she went above and beyond my expectations, and the price was very reasonable. She is willing to work hard to find flowers within your color scheme without charging a bazillion dollars. I received so many compliments on my wedding day, and I really wish I could have saved my bouquet forever. I would definitely recommend her to a future bride- but do expect to give her friendly *reminders* along the way.

Donna was great! Donna really made my moms vision come true and waking into our reception room my breath was taken away by the beautiful arrangements. She has the freshest flowers I have seen. The vibrant colors of the flowers really made our room come alive. She's also such a delight to work with!

Donna completely exceeded my expectations! My flowers were perfect. She really understood my vision and they turned out better than I expected. She also worked with us to figure out how to keep within budget when we went over budget at first.

Donna was amazing and here's why: 1. She knows here stuff. While some florists told us any flowers would be ok (which they are but cost an arm and a leg). Donna was realistic and said in January these will be the flowers to choose from. 2. She gives amazing quality with an amazing price. The flower arrangements she did were amazing and lasted on a 20 degree in January. 3. Her service the day of was great. Highly recommend Donna's Flowers.

Our flowers were GORGEOUS! Donna knew exactly what we wanted, was a joy to work with, and worked within our budget! My niece had recommended her and said she was the one vendor she never had to worry about! She even added her special touch without asking! We were more than happy! She made everything look stunning!

I interviewed Donna's Custom Flowers as one of the potential vendors to use for the Flowers for our September wedding. When my mom and I arrived, she brought us into the back room and right away wanted to start picking out flowers without hearing many details about my wedding. We proceeded to look page by page through her vendor's websites to literally select the types and colors of flowers for all of the bouquets and arrangements. It was PAINFUL! Donna, although sweet and well-meaning, is not very computer savvy and I ended up giving a lot of tech support as she tried to copy and paste flower images, names, and colors into an email that she would send to me after the appointment was over. Half way through this experience, I was trying to find a polite way to leave. It would have been a great process, if I knew EXACTLY what I wanted and just needed a florist to order and assemble it. I however did not have a clear idea in my mind of the flowers/colors/etc I wanted and really expected the floral designer to fill the gap between what I described verbally and the final visual design. We did not end up using Donna's Custom Flowers because I wanted the floral designer to have a little more imagination in the flower arrangements and not be so prescriptive. I do appreciate the time she spent with me during our appointment and wanted to write a review to let other brides know what to expect when using Donna.

I had a photo and Donna exceded my expectations, flowers were gorgeous, Donna was great to work with, prices were good!

From the table arrangements to altar arrangements, to the bridal bouquet, all were an amazing blending of colors, fragrance, and design. Donna is wonderful to work with and very dependable. She was at our venue to oversee every detail and always returned calls and emails promptly. You will not be disappointed with Donna's Custom Flowers!

My daughter's wedding was last Sunday and all our guests commented on how beautiful the flower arrangements were. We were working with a budget and with Donna's advise we were able to have beautiful and creative arrangements and stayed on budget. Donna was very helpful and everything was as planned, she also added some extra touches of her own that made it even nicer. I highly recommend Donna's Custom Flowers!

I am a little late on my review, but we used Donna's Custom Flowers for our wedding on August 6th, 2011. Donna and her team did a wonderful job! The church was in Elmhurst followed by the reception at the Westin in Itasca. Donna's flowers and arrangements were absolutely amazing!! She was able to bring all my ideas to life! Our bouquets were gorgeous, the boutineers were very elegant and the centerpieces at the reception were exactly what we wanted! I loved the little lights she put in every centerpiece. The view of the entire reception hall from the head table was heavenly. The cake was breathtakingly beautiful! Although there was a slight mishap about my mother-in-law's corsage and my father-in-law's boutineer (they were delivered to the wrong place), we are able to overlook that matter because of her amazing work that day. We loved her creativity and her love for flowers. She uses excellent quality flowers. The orchids she used in our centerpieces at the reception lasted for 1 month and 3 weeks after the wedding! We're very glad we found her just in time for our wedding. I had seen many other florists before I visited her store and I must say that she is the most creative and sincere florist I have ever met. Once again, on behalf of my husband and our parents, we thank you and your team for your outstanding work. She also wore a sari to the reception hall (it was an Indian wedding) which we thought was really cute! She looked amazing in it! :) We definitely recommend Donna to other brides. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and held up well for the entire wedding. Donna had great suggestions for what to use and was very flexible in allowing us to purchase flowers for our centerpieces and put them together ourselves. However, organization was not her strong point and I was a little nervous that details would end up incorrect. She is also not very Internet saavy - bring your own photos of the types of flowers you want to use, it will save you loads of time.

My husband and I were married in Illinois but live in Oregon. Donna spent hours with me on the phone both glued to our computer to find the perfect flowers for my wedding. She even listened patiently when I changed my mind time and again. When I decided that I had to have lanterns hanging in my reception venue she rolled up her sleeves and found a way to make it happen...within my quoted budget!!! Donna has a few ideas of her own and I recommend you listen because she is an expert!

We did a consultation with Donna and after listening to what I wanted, proceeded to show me some pictures of exactly what I had described. Plus she is so excited about the flowers that it makes working with her a pleasure. She has some great ideas and can help work within your budget. The flowers were gorgeous! We held our reception at Seasons of Long Grove and Donna also decorated the tent for us. It was great...Chinese lanterns, lights & Tulle...really helped to make the reception magical. We would definitely recommend Donna's Custom Flowers!

My experience working with Donna was wonderful. We set up a consultation to review budget and wedding colors. She quickly pulled up pictures of bouquets and table arrangements as examples and I fell in love with everything she showed me. It was like she was in my head and knew what I envisioned before I told her. When my bridal/bridesmaids bouquets were delivered, I couldn't believe how beautiful they were! All the flowers at our reception couldn't have been more beautiful. Donna was a pleasure to work and looking back at our pictures, I still can't believe how gorgeous our flowers were!
