Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Boston-Andover

I booked the DoubleTree because it was the closest hotel to our venue and offered a reasonable price for my guests. The hotel block ended up being the biggest stressor of my entire wedding planning experience. The link they provided only worked for a very short period of time. The hotel was then "sold out" despite the fact that I had many open rooms in my block. I was told that if people called to book it shouldn't be a problem. I had several guests call and were still told the hotel was sold out and to look elsewhere, I've been told more than once that the people were quite rude about it. I reached out to the sales manager, who was always very kind and helpful. She told me to give her number out to anyone who had a problem which was very nice. Unfortunately, while some did come to me with their issues booking, I know others who didn't want to bother the bride and just made other arrangements on their own. On the day we checked in people's rooms were not ready at check-in time and several people had to move rooms after checking in for one reason or another. The suite I was in was very spacious and gave us girls plenty of room to get ready the morning of. After our wedding we all got a drink in the lobby bar and then hung out in the lobby late into the next morning. The man at the desk overnight was very gracious and never said a peep about us being too loud.

Avoid at all costs. Rooms are grimy. Lobby furniture is flaking fake leather. The bar service is horrific for after parties. We had three weddings in the venue and they had one bartender for 150+ people. Staff look like deer in headlights when you ask them for assistance on virtually an matter.
