We blocked rooms at this hotel for our wedding and were pleased with how accommodating they were. They let guest book rooms even after the block was supposed to be closed and the p...

rice for the rooms was reasonable. My only complaint was that we provided gift bags for our guests and it didn't look like they were being handed out. When we checked out the next morning there was a ton of them still sitting on the counter and I know I didn't make enough for everyone. Other than that we were pleased. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in downtown Wilmington.

sal dinner Friday and ceremony Saturday. I cannot say enough wonderful things about their banquet manager, Polly. She was an absolute joy to work with and really went above and beyond in making sure all the details were perfect for our special day. She did things I didn't even ask for such as coordinating cocktail hour tablecloths to our colors without my even asking (let alone charging extra). My mother also hosted a breakfast Sunday morning for our hotel guests. Without us even asking or thinking about it, Polly refrigerated all the centerpieces overnight and put that out for our breakfast the next day. Little things like that really showed she cared about us and our overall experience. Everything went smoothly and the food, servers, bartenders and all the other staff were courteous and a joy to work with! In particular our guests loved the bartenders too!

d classy. Doubletree Downtown is just that! The entire staff is just amazing. Any questions I had were answered that day. I was treated like a queen the entire time I was there for my wedding weekend. The chef, Will, really knew what he was talking about and everyone raved about the food. Polly, the day of coordinator, could not have been better at her job. She made the ballroom look BEAUTIFUL and was just plain awesome. She got us what we needed before we knew that we needed it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to have their wedding or event here. After receiving such great service through our wedding planning, we also held my sister-in-law's baby shower here and that was amazing as well.
