e service was amazing. They were so attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout the event and had drinks on deck ready for my husband and I at all times. They even waited to bring myself and my husband’s meal until we were finished talking to each of our guests so it was fresh and hot. The food was delicious and each of our guests raved about it. Riley Carter was everything we could have asked for and more in an event coordinator. She didn’t miss a beat on anything, answered every question, and helped guide us every step of the way. She is amazing. I highly recommend this space if you’re planning a wedding. You will not be disappointed.

The rooms were very clean and staff was very friendly. We also gave out gift bags to our guests and the staff was very helpful with this and made sure all of our guests got them! I highly recommend staying here and or having your wedding here! The only reason we didn't have our wedding here is because we had to many guests attend and the capacity didn't fit everyone, but if we had smaller numbers I would have loved to have our special day here!

On the day before our wedding we were able to set up and Riley was on hand to help with anything we needed. During the wedding, we had a guest with a cake allergy, without hesitation she got an ice cream in place of the cake for the guest to enjoy. The venue itself was clean and beautiful and every single staff member was kind, helpful and willing to go above and beyond!

you are getting married and need a place to get ready, book the deluxe suites with water view! And your hotel block! The rooms are so spacious and the views are absolutely breathtaking with the bridge and water in the background. And I cannot say enough great things about the sales manager Riley! She helped me for months with all of my questions and concerns and she is even nicer in person. Our block of rooms kept filling up and she assured me she would do the work to get more. She also helped get us transportation to and from the hotel and venue with the shuttle service they use. Her and the entire staff at doubletree port Huron was amazing. We will definitely be back in the future 😊

Her, and the team at the Doubletree, all helped us to coordinate the transportation to the wedding venue as well as hand out goodie bags to our guests. They sent recommendations of things to do in the area and places to visit. It was overall an absolute pleasure working with them. Highly recommend!

o thought I’d start with them. From the first to last time(which was finally face to face the wedding weekend) Riley was fabulous! She was extremely helpful and always professional! Anytime I would email or call her she would respond within the hour usually. And it didn’t stop with Riley. From the front desk staff, to housekeeping, they all had smiles and friendly greetings. The bridal suite and king suite where my son was we’re both roomy and so clean, as we’re all the rooms! And their restaurant within the hotel, Freighters, was delicious! On top of all this the view of Lake Huron and the Bluewater Bridge is all remarkable! This hotel is a gem!

g celebration of our unity. The outdoor space was great for the kids to play and give the adults some fresh air. Everything was exactly what we wanted and made our evening a night to remember!

setup but Riley was awesome and able to get to the bottom of the issue and had it all fixed before we released it to our guests! Sarah was great to communicate with to get the contract setup. It was easy to extend the block once the first group of rooms was booked. Check in and out was very easy for us and all our guests and they helped direct our guests to the shuttle. Rooms are very clean and well kept. Beds were also very comfortable after a very long day! The suite was perfect for our whole wedding party to get ready in - lots of space. Thankful that Doubletree was a part of our big day, and those cookies, yum! Prices are a little high, especially if converting to Canadian and do wish there was a breakfast included but these are small things that don’t affect the great stay we had!

the enough. The food from freighters also was amazing, I was stuffed and wanted to keep stuffing my face! The venue is right next to the river so pictures were easy to get. My mom booked a suite which allowed us to have a big room to get ready in so I do recommend that for my fellow brides. (It was room 310 if you want assistance getting the big room to rent they can tell you what style lol)

fter our big day. The indoor reception space came together so beautifully and comfortably accommodated our guests. We didn't have the opportunity to indulge in the appetizers that we had selected, however we heard that they were great. We went with the Southwest Buffet for dinner - it was an absolute hit with all of our guests! (months later; we're still hearing about how enjoyable dinner was!) Another huge plus to this venue is the ability to book hotel rooms right on the property!! We would absolutely recommend the Double Tree!

nd it didn't come back on until the day after our wedding. However, that didn't stop Sarah and her team! They rallied all their local contacts, worked with multiple caterers, borrowed generators and equipment from other DJs and got everything together to the point that you really didn't notice that that there was no power. A lot of other venues would have just told us that we were out of luck, but I cannot begin to describe how amazing this team was in making sure this "act of god" didn't stop our special day. It was such a pleasure working with Sarah over the two years we were engaged. She always went out of her way to answer my many questions and was really flexible and willing to customize our experience to meet our needs. The venue was absolutely beautiful, multiple guests and vendors also told us the food was the best wedding food they'd ever had. I love these people and we will be returning to the Double Tree in the future to relive our special day and say hello to Sarah. Book now. You won't be disappointed.

utely stunning from the balcony rooms or even the back lot facing the culinary school, staff is AMAZING. Always so kind and hospitable. Our rooms were spotless and even the bar/restaurant had great foods and craft cocktails. 10 stars!

d it was perfect for my bridal crew getting ready together. I can’t wait to see the photos from that. Amazing staff and my kids room was connected to our suite which was so amazing also. So kind of them get that for us. Everyone who I worked with was just amazing! The room was clean and just overall a perfect stay.

e big day. The venue is also gorgeous and absolutely perfect for a wedding. My December, winter wedding was so gorgeous in the Abbey. We were so happy.

the day of helping things to run smoothly and allowing our vision come to life. Before the big day, Sarah was efficient with answering all and any questions we had leading up to it and was super helpful when we asked for suggestions on certain aspects. The venue itself is incredibly beautiful. We received many compliments from our guests saying so themselves. The overlook of the St. Clair River during the ceremony was even more gorgeous than we imagined. It was just overall a beautiful day. The only problem we encountered was that dinner appeared to be a little behind and we had to push back the start of the first/formal dances a bit, but it all worked out and didn't put a damper on the day. I will say for dinner, add the House Made Mac & Cheese!!! Just do it. You won't regret it. A month after our wedding, we still have friends and family talking about how good the Mac & Cheese was. Heck, we still talk about it ourselves too. In the end, we have absolutely no regrets choosing DoubleTree - Port Huron to host our wedding and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a venue for their special day and to highly take them into consideration!

and during our stay. The suites were the perfect size for our bridal party - spacious enough to have 15 girls and the hair and makeup team get ready the morning of the wedding. We were able to have our first look on the patio and that was perfect. All guests were very happy with their stay and we all had a great weekend!

an event that will be remembered fondly for a life time. Any time I had a question or needed help prior to and up time show time she was available. She responses quickly to any questions at any time prior to the event. The serving staff was amazing. There wasn't a single dirty dish or glass on the tables during the dinner service. All of my guests were taken care of. The view is by far the best in the area. The hotel is beautiful with top notch fitness center, beautiful pool, and attached restaurant. I highly recommend the DoubleTree by Hilton on Port Huron. It was truly a dream come true.

tly done through e-mail communication. We used the Abbey room which led right to the outdoor area where the ceremony was held. It was beautiful. It was a perfect location for the American and Canadian guests. The bridge and the water gave a beautiful backdrop. We had a block of rooms for guests staying the night and did everything from the rehearsal, the rehearsal dinner and a continental breakfast the morning after in a conference room reserved for us to use the entire weekend. That room was not the focus but helped us immensely with storage and gathering of guests pre and post wedding. We had a huge bridal suite to get ready for the day. Everything was right on site the entire weekend. They hosted a tasting event months prior to the wedding to help my daughter and son in law make their meal and drink selections. The food was delicious. The service was superb and the wedding coordinators were fabulous. We did not have an unlimited budget, and we got so much for the price we paid. It was very reasonable. We cannot thank Sarah LaForge enough for her attention to detail and for always accommodating us. She took most of the stress away from us so we were able to enjoy the day. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful also. We are extremely happy with this venue and I know the bride and groom feel the same way.

making our big day special since it was a smaller in size. However Sarah and Amanda both took time with us and made us feel equally as special to host our event there. In the months leading up they offered a tasting which was helpful and worked with us to answer any questions or concerns we had. For the day of, Sarah went above and beyond adding some special finishing touches and even stepping in to assit the photographer in achieving some great photos I wanted. Her attention to detail is perfection! The hall itself was beautiful especially with the water view. The staff was great with working with our guests even when special requests were made. Having the hotel available for the guest was so convenient and helpful for "getting ready" before the ceremony. I can't express how happy I am with my entire experience with this vendor. Highly recommend!

the big day! They were prompt with responses to questions, flexible with requests, and full of great ideas and reccomendations that made our day go smoothly. The Abbey and patio area create a beautiful and intimate space that allowed for a natural flow from our ceremony to our reception. All of our guests loved that they had an outdoor space to gather in, that they didn't have to travel from ceremony to reception to hotel, and all mentioned how lovely the space was. I cannot reccommend DoubleTree by Hilton Port Huron enough!!

t above and beyond her job to make sure my day was perfect! she fluffed my dress at every picture she took amazing pictures of my wedding for me she was there by my side every minute that I needed her for anything and I don’t even think that I needed to ask her for anything because she was already on top of it! Nobody could’ve did the job she did if it wasn’t for her my wedding would not have been as amazing as it was! I highly recommend the Doubletree just because of her she will give you amazing ideas as well as making sure that everything is absolutely perfect!
