My fiancé and and I knew we wanted a central location for both my family and his before he even proposed. We looked at quite a few venues and I loved the Double Tree because of the location being right downtown and right by the river! I had been communicating back and forth with Lauren and even set up a time for me to bring me fiancé to see. We both ended up leaving our jobs early to drive all the way over to Little Rock to see the place, only to get there and find out that Lauren had forgotten about us (I had confirmed our visit with her again the morning of) and actually left for the day. The Director, Marc, ended up showing us around and even though I was dead set on them already, I ended up leaving a little upset because some of the information he told us and what Lauren had told us was different. I ended up emailing Lauren and she let me know that Marc was new and still learning so, I gave the benefit of the doubt. We decided that we would go ahead and book with them! Despite the miscommunication, we decided to go ahead and book with them. Fast forward and here we are almost 6 months out and my fiancé and I are wanting to explore other options because of the lack of communication. I have literally been trying for a month to get in contact with Marc since Lauren is no longer with them. the last time i received an email from him was the end of February. I had a couple of question and sent an email on May 2 and I have not heard anything. I have called multiple times and have not gotten a call back. If it weren't for the fact that we have both had family call and reserve rooms and such already, I would have pulled the plug and went elsewhere a long time ago! I am FURIOUS! As of this moment, I do NOT recommend this place for your wedding!!!
My husband and I had our wedding at the Robinson Center and stayed at the DoubleTree Hotel the night before and after the wedding. The Robinson Center was amazing, and our Point of Contact was extremely nice and very willing to work with us and answer our questions. Our Point of Contact at the DoubleTree was actually the head chef, and she was more than happy to answer our questions about the DoubleTree and the food we wanted to serve. I would definitely have an event at the Robinson Center again and stay at the DoubleTree again.
I used them for my wedding block and we actually stayed there our wedding night and it was so nice. Great service, nice rooms, easy check out. Great!
Great food! Very professional staff!
We only had to meet with the hotel on 3 occasions to get everything lined out for the reception. Having a reception at a hotel makes everything easy! We didn't have to worry about linens, chairs, tables...We picked white tablecltothes, little mirrors and tealight candles. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our bar ran out quicker than expected, drinks are definately pricey at a hotel. So, be prepared to spend some money or change up to a cash bar if you have a budget to stick to. Our cake people and flower people and band had no issues getting in and out of here. They were easy to work with. The best part, you are already where you plan on sleeping. Everyone that traveled had a ride to the airport due to the shuttle. Guests didn't have to worry about driving home. My only complaint was that it got very hot. It was super hot outside, so we were banking on air conditioner, but it did get toasty with everyone dancing.
