Doug provided us with a photo booth for our wedding and we were absolutely amazed at the service provided. Communication was very easy leading up to the wedding, and day of the wedding the setup process was stress free and everyone enjoyed being able to take pictures together all night. They even created a little book for us with all the pictures taken that evening, truly a gift we will cherish forever! We HIGHLY recommend Doug if you need a photo booth at your event.

Could not have asked for a better company to take pictures for my wedding starting from engagement photos to us getting ready to the ceremony and reception. Dougs all inclusive package was probably the best decision I made to have all photos,DJ,photo booth,and streaming all through him made my life as the bride so easy with the planning process. Will definitely be using Doug for any photo need I will have the rest of my life.

I cannot even put into words how amazing Doug & his team were for my wedding. Not only did he capture great photos that we are obsessed with, he also helped move things along & keep me sane during my big day. He really cares about his clients and really goes above and beyond.

I am writing this review in hopes of helping another couple avoid going through what my husband and I are still experiencing with this company. Our experience was so terrible that I felt it necessary to communicate that with other couples trying to find a photographer/videographer to capture one of the most important days of their lives. Issues with DMP: 1) Engagement session was cancelled same day (scheduled initially for July 19th, rescheduled for following Thursday, cancelled, engagement session happens on 8/25) 2) Reached out for a meeting on 5/30. Heard nothing. Followed up via email on 6/3 3) Timeline for wedding day was promised 5/19. Never received. 4) Did not show up to wedding. Did not inform bride or groom. Neither knew until a different team showed up day of. 5) Wedding photos asked about on 7/20. Pictures were promised 7/23. Followed up via email on 7/25 when no pictures were sent. Pictures were then promised on 7/26. Followed up again via email on 8/1. Photos received on 8/4. 6) Email stating songs to put in wedding video were sent on 8/7/19 and discussed at an in person meeting. Songs requested were not included in the wedding video. 7) Initial email sent about wedding video on 10/11. Followed up on 10/18 via email. Doug responded on 10/19 and promised the completed wedding video in 2-3 weeks. Follow up email is sent 11/5. Then again on 11/7. Doug responds and promised completed video on 11/14. Video received 11/18. 8) Link to proof wedding album is sent 12/8. All pictures are delivered via flash drive, date unknown. On 3/5 I follow up via email to ask about changes made to album. Follow up on 3/19. Changes requested have still not been made. On 3/19, album is approved pending 2 changes and said to begin printing and delivered in 2-3 weeks. Doug promises to follow up on these changes on 3/19. On 4/4, I follow up again regarding the wedding album. Doug blames Coronavirus pandemic and says that’s why album is not done. In short, he cancelled our engagement session the same day, made promises only to disappoint, and did not even show up on our wedding day. He sent others in his place. This company is awful and not worth your money. We had so many wonderful vendors on our wedding day, and it really showed that this company was lacking. Find someone else that truly cares and wants the best for you.

Doug and his team were very easy to work with. We love our wedding video and the drone was an added plus.

Working with Doug Melvin was a great experience! Doug took care of our photography, DJ, sound, lighting and photo booth. Doug offers so many services and packages for everything you are looking for. Doug and Russ did an AMAZING job for our wedding on November 2, 2019. Doug kept the entire day moving, took beautiful photos, used amazing creativity and went so stealth to be completely unnoticed during the entire event. Doug and his team were wonderful to work with! We could not have asked for a better group! We did photo, video, photo booth and the DJ. The photo booth was a hit and you get to keep a copy in a book of all of the photo booth prints. Our photographers were the BEST! Doug did our engagement pictures which were beautiful (we even had to reschedule these the day of because my now husband woke up with the stomach flu) so easy to get in contact with Doug and reschedule! Then we had two others (Steve & Steve) for our wedding day. The two on our wedding day were perfect! They knew exactly what to do set up all of the poses for us (we didn’t have ideas) and kept us on schedule too! They went out of their way to make the day flow with ease from the church to the reception venue. They always made sure my dress, veil, shoes, flowers whatever it was were in the perfect place for the picture. Seriously the best! Videographers were both wonderful as well! They made sure to capture every detail of our day! Both the photographers and videographers were perfect and I never felt like they were hovering around us like I’ve seen at some weddings. And the best part... our pictures are GORGEOUS!! You get a google drive of all of your pictures! Our DJ Adam was exceptional! We sat down with him and planned out our reception and timeline and it was perfect! Everyone stayed on the dance floor and loved the music and dancing! Adam really knew how to judge the crowd and get everyone out of their seats and dancing. If you want the best, Doug and his team are the people you are looking for!

Amazing! Doug has been the best, even when he was sick and probably not working he showed up on time to be big day made no complaints and got all the pictures I wanted and more. His team was amazing all so nice and professional. I am forever grateful for my photos of the big day. He is truly passionate about his job and knows what he is doing and what photos to get and how to pose you. He knew the photos I wanted and did not want much of and kept them moving perfect. He worked with my game day plan hoping for no rain and being ready to switch at any moment which was awesome. I will have more photos than I think I’ll know what to do with. I got them back quick too it took him about 3 weeks. Thank you Doug and your team you captured our big day beautifully!

Doug was so professional from the beginning! He took amazing engagement photos and gave us support up until the big day! We had a vendor we were struggling with and he called and spoke with them to take some stress from our plates. Russ & Kate took pictures on our big day and they could not have been more wonderful, they were easy going and flexible with our large crazy bridal party! Jason the videographer was friendly and involved as well. I would recommend Doug to anyone looking for a photographer!!

Doug did a great job on our engagement photos and wedding photos. And even after the wedding I'm super excited for the wedding book he is putting together and prints. I can't stop looking at all my photos I love them so much! Doug is also really easy to work with and get ahold of.

They truly made my wedding day so special and really spend the whole day with you and made sure not one moment was missed. His work product is incredible. All my guests had so much fun at the photo booth and it really was a great extra to have. I would recommend him ten times over!!

Doug really went above and beyond for our big day! It was a long day for our vendors starting at noon and not ending until 11pm. Not once did they drop the ball. Doug and his crew had our photo booth kicking, was on top of our videography, and worked seamlessly with my photographer and DJ making our day perfect! I can’t wait to see the video!

I cannot say enough great things about Doug and his team. We planned everything last minute and he was so helpful in planning everything with us and he even adjusted the whole plan to our budget. I’m beyond grateful for the whole team! Everyone who came to click pictures just felt like a part of the family and how involved they were in clicking pictures. The backdrop photobooth was a major hit at the wedding! All of our guests loved it! We received a book of all the photos, a digital copy of all of the photos and a DVD of the videos taken. It was so fun to look through them all. Definitely one of the best parts of our wedding.

Doug was such an incredible photographer to work with. His company provided photography, video, and a photobooth for us. Everyone loved each aspect!

We used Doug Melvin for our Photo Booth at our wedding. They provided a scrapbook/photo album for the guests to sign next to their photo strip that we used as our guest book. It was such a good decision. The guests loved it and we had such a great time looking through all the photos the next day. Another plus was that you get unlimited prints, so each guest gets a strip to take home. They provided props and helped guests operate the booth. It was a hit!

The photobooth was great. Everyone had a great time with it and we have all of these fantastic pictures afterwards that we’ve loved looking at ever since. We’re terribly glad that we did this for our wedding. The photobook that was ready at the end of the night was great and then getting all of the digital copies later was wonderful.

As the mother of the bride, I was delighted that Doug Melvin was our photographer. His photos are outstanding. He always took the photos we felt he should take. He seemed to be everywhere, but never disruptive. Doug is also, so pleasant to work with, I only have one problem: choosing which photos to put into "MY" wedding book or enlarge for the wall.

Words can not truly describe how well Doug did with our engagement session. He was timely, passionate, and was very prepared. His enthusiasm was amazing. He kept us smiling, laughing and having a great time. Doug is a very personable photographer and really gets to know the bride and groom to full connect with them. I definitely recommend Doug to all my family and friends!!

I cannot express in words how happy I was to have the experience we had in our engagement session. He was on time, very personable, a great person to be around and had amazing ideas for the shots. Sometimes when taking pictures it can feel fake, but he made it such a great and natural time! I absolutely cannot say enough great things about Doug Melvin! This guy is amazing! His eye for detail, and for the incredibly perfect shot, Is just out of this world.... And talk about a pleasure to work with! He was always early for everything we did. He knew exactly when to let us "feel" a moment (and wow could he capture that moment!) and when we needed suggestions. He blended in with our group and we never felt like we had a "photographer" there - it was like he was a part of our family. No kidding! Everyone was so comfortable with Doug and that comfort showed in the great candids he got of us AND our guests. I will, truly, never use another photographer. My husband and I LOVED working with Doug! He was a pleasure to work with and always made use feel comfortable when taking pictures. We had so much fun when we took our engagement photos and he had a lot of fun ideas. We expect our wedding photos to be even more amazing! He and his assistant made the whole process of taking photos while getting ready and before/after the ceremony so fun on our wedding day; we honestly can't wait to see the photos. His photo ideas definitely captured the romance and fun of the day! We also cannot recommend enough their photo booth. The attendants were always on hand and they brought so many different props for us to use! We were so pleased to see that they had personalized print outs of photos from the booth with out names and wedding date on them. And not only did we get a whole book of photo strips from the booth, but they also printed off extras right there for our guests to take home! Doug and his team made our wedding day so special and any couple getting married should work with them if they get the chance!

Doug was absolutely amazing!! He helped us plan out our day and what photos we would like in and around our venue and was on time and kept everything on schedule. We felt comfortable and had a blast. We requested for almost all of our photos to be done before the ceremony and he did exactly that! We also used his photobooth and it was amazing! We lvoe our photobooth album and the men who ran it were so great! Our guests had an amazing time. We highly recomment Doug Melvin to anyone! You won't regret it!

Doug's photobooth at our wedding was a huge hit! They had great props to choose from, allowed us to customize our own photo strip, and even gave us a scrapbook at the end of the night with everyone's pictures included. The photobooth attendants were also extremely nice and helpful throughout the night. Great, professional photobooth and would highly recommend.

Doug, Evelyn, and Tom were great to work with. Doug was very helpful in setting up the engagement with his team. Evelyn and Tom were our onsite photographers. They arrived early to scout the area and find good backdrops/places to take our photos. They also were very good with our two families and friends, and were very accommodating with our requests. We would definitely recommend Doug's company to our friends and family!

Doug and his team are amazing. Our pictures were beautiful, and Doug is such a great guy. He drove all the way out to Hocking Hills to shoot our engagement photos. Doug and his team were amazing with our whole wedding party. I gave Doug an extra large task of wedding inspiration photos and he did his very best to accommodate every wish that I had. I have never been one to photograph well and I felt totally at ease with Doug and his team. I like that he actually took the time to get to know me and my now husband and made our wedding something we will never forget.

Doug was GREAT! I booked way far in advance and he still made sure to call me for follow ups and email me to let me know that everything was still booked and ready to go. The booth was very well managed and looked great at our outdoor garden wedding...and the guests loved it too. The cherry on top is that Doug is a REALLY nice guy and so easy to work with, which I really appreciated more than anything else!

Doug was great to work with during our engagement photos and wedding. He was very flexible with scheduling. He was patient with our dogs and us so we could get a great family shot both during our engagement photo session and the day of the wedding. We have 3 photographers the day of the wedding. It was like having paparazzi at the reception. We received all of the photos in 2 weeks and it's crazy how many we have. There were a few specific shots I wanted that we didn't get but we were behind schedule and it was freezing outside. Doug and his team are amazing to work with!!!!!!!

He was right on time, helped keep everything on track, and he and his team offered great coverage for my whole day. We used Doug & Russ for our wedding day photography and we absolutely love our photos! Russ came to the rehearsal to meet our families and the priest, which I thought was very professional. Both Doug and Russ were so easy to have around while getting ready for the ceremony, and weren't intrusive at all, which was really important to me! Our photos are beautiful, they really captured special moments of our day in unique ways. Doug's team did our video as well which we haven't seen yet but I have no doubt it will be just as amazing as our photos! Highly recommended!!

Our first meeting with Doug told us he was very nice, professional, and open to our suggestions. We did an engagement session and loved the pictures. He even spent a little extra time with us to finish up. I gave him ideas for some formal pictures on the wedding day and he did them beautifully. We also worked with Russ, and it was nice to have a second photographer. Overall, we liked his pictures because they were natural and pretty, not fake, filtered, and re-touched. Incredible value and all pictures are given on a flash drive included in the price. He's a great photographer and proves you don't have to spend a ton of money for great professional pictures.

I would recommend Doug Melvin Photography for weddings. We enjoyed working with Doug and Russ. They were laid back but also helped us stay on time. They helped organize people. We are pleased with how the pictures turned out and the quality of the photos. If I was to do one thing over I would have given the photographers more specific ideas about poses and been prepared with ideas.

Doug and his team worked well with myself and my family during the wedding and reception. I would suggest being specific on what poses or details are important for you to have photographed. I copy and pasted a bunch of ideas I had from my Pinterest page on to a word document. I printed it out and gave it to Doug at our engagement session (which happened to be two weeks before our wedding because I procrastinated getting the session set up). Doug and his team made sure to replicate the ideas that I was looking for. Just like any vendor you need to be specific about what you are envisioning for your big day. I would definitely recommend!

Doug & his team were fantastic and can handle the heat! I would recommend them to anyone! I received over 900 photos and I would have preferred a large group shot and some more family photos but I am VERY pleased with the turnout and the willingness to share the progress throughout the day...the helpers even helped carry our props! Thank you Doug!

Doug and his crew helped do our video for the wedding, as well as our photography. He was very professional, worked quickly and captured beautiful moments that we will cherish for a lifetime. The best part was that he was quick to contact us after the wedding, sending over pictures that we were able to share with our families. We had a great experience with Doug! He was very laid back, put us at ease, and has over 20 years of experience shooting weddings. He was one of the least expensive photographers of who we looked at and shot with another photographer and an assistant. We ended up with hundreds of pictures with all the shots we wanted plus so many more and they were all beautiful!! And we got a CD with the images in digital form.

Wonderful pictures! Great price for time and quality. My package included an engagement photo shoot and video of wedding. I recommend having an engagement shoot so your photographer can get to know you and your fiances personalities and what you like before the big day.
