Doug Segree Band

Doug Segree and his band definitely made our wedding! The dance floor was packed the entire time -- they read the crowd perfectly and continued playing songs that people enjoyed. We also had Doug and a guitarist play our ceremony and it was elegant but certainly didn't take away from the processional, etc. They came prepared with speakers for indoor and outdoor (our ceremony was outside) and lighting to create a fun vibe in our reception area. Doug was open to us picking most of the songs or giving him songs/artists that we liked and him playing things in the same vein. We chose the latter and he did a great job reflecting our preferences. I would recommend the Doug Segree Band if you want your wedding to be fun and entertaining for your guests!

We hired the Doug Segree band on a recommendation from a friend and it was easily one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding! Doug and I had a great conversation about music that reinforced that we were making the right decision. He was willing to accommodate my specific music requests (no traditional wedding songs, lots of Dave Matthews Band and Grateful Dead) and offer suggestions and thoughts about how to make the wedding friendly to everyone. He responded to emails and phone calls quickly and was very easy to work with. As far as the wedding goes, we could not have been HAPPIER!! Doug and his band played everything we wanted to hear and created an amazing and fun environment. The dance floor was never empty and we have the pictures to prove it. My mother even said she went looking for guests to talk to at one point and everyone was on the dance floor. Months later everyone is still talking about how great the band was! To top it all off, Doug and his band played two of our favorite songs (Dave Matthews Band-#41 and Bruce Springsteen-Born to Run) and let us sing. It created a memory we will never forget. My friends and I want to have another event just so we can hire the Doug Segree Band to play! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Doug Segree Band is TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY you will spend. I have nothing but positive, glowing reviews for the Doug Segree Band. The guys are professional, funny, relaxed, and completely fantastic musicians. Doug really took the time to be accessible to my husband and me to make sure he played music that we wanted to hear. If you have the money, you will NOT regret hiring this incredible band. I cannot tell you how much Doug Segree Band helped to set the tone for our New Year's Eve wedding and be a major reason why it was such an amazing event!

The band made our day so amazing. We received so many compliments and inquiries about them we were blown away. When we began planning our wedding we decided to pick one or two things that were most important to us for our reception. Having a great band was at the top of that list. We wanted a band that would make the night unforgettable for everyone and they far exceeded those expectations. Their versatility did not go unnoticed; from the acoustic set during our cocktail hour, the special songs they learned for us, to just rocking the whole party until the end we could not have asked for more! They really surprised us by learning the Hora and played it as well as we have ever heard. We also rented sound equipment for our ceremony. They did an amazing job setting everything up. We received so many compliments on how well everyone could hear what was being said. You can't go wrong with The Doug Segree Band!!!

The Doug Segree Band was one of our first decisions made for our wedding. We knew right away that Doug and his band would be a perfect fit. We also knew that we wanted Dana B playing as well. Unaware that they had not played together for some time, they played together as if they had been playing together for years without missing a beat. They even brought my new bride up on stage when they noticed that she knew every word to “Bust a Move”! We are still receiving compliments about the band 2 weeks later!

The Doug Segree Band is not a wedding band- they were voted the best local band in the Annapolis area-- we've heard them play a number of times and we asked them to play at our wedding. They were fabulous. Played great covers for all ages, even though they do have their own music! We gave them a specific list of songs...;Make sure you give the band a list of songs that you want to hear, and a list that you DONT want to hear. Also, make sure you have a songlist for them to play at breaks...
