I would never recommend Amanda to anyone. She usually took days to respond, missed vendor calls with us, and really only communicated with us after we reached out, it was never p...
roactive. She had a spreadsheet that still had another wedding's info in it that we updated and, that I would've just paid for a template of to avoid an inconsistent middleperson.
The worst part was that the fire alarm went off during our reception, and Amanda was allegedly all over it and creating a timeline of events. On our wedding day she claimed "you guys will get this night free now". Days after the wedding (we reached out again) she claimed that she would have a report ready soon so that we could talk to the GM about a makegood for our lost time. My husband and I got that meeting scheduled, and then had that conversation ourselves because we've never heard from Amanda again.
I already contacted her privately over a week ago with zero response. I'd rather take every effort to reach understanding without bashing a business. Since she's sticking with the job abandonment after her paying clients needed her most, I'm sending out this cautionary tale.
I gave one extra star because Dovetail is essentially two helpful sets of hands with set-up and take down.
In the middle of a pandemic and once in a lifetime Texas snow storm with vendors canceling last minute the Dovetail girls were able to secure replacement vendors and host a beautif...

There is no one better in the wedding planning business than Amanda-Lynn at Dovetail. Not only did she navigate my fiancé and I gracefully through planning a destination wedding du...
ring a pandemic she executed an incredible wedding during unbelievable conditions.
My husband and I got married on a day that posed the biggest ice storm Texas has ever seen. On the morning of my wedding, almost every original vendor we hired had to cancel but Amanda Lynn was with us through every hurdle, and not only that, almost every guest has mentioned it being not only the most beautiful, but the most organized and fun event. I can’t express enough gratitude for DoveTail and Amanda-Lynn. The biggest mistake you could make would be not hiring this business to help with any unknown that could happen during the process and especially the day of.
Working with Dovetail Weddings was the best decision we made for our wedding. I am very organized, and many people told me I didn't need a day-of coordinator. That said, my husband...
and I cannot imagine our wedding planning and wedding day without Amanda-Lynn. She was engaged, professional, and so helpful at every step of the way from our very first call. Her expertise in the wedding industry was so valuable, as she helped guide us through the process. Amanda-Lynn worked closely with us to modify our plans given COVID-19, and was incredibly supportive, with decision-making, logistics, and even emotional support as we made tough decisions. Our wedding day ran so smoothly thanks to Amanda-Lynn's diligence, professionalism, and most importantly, her compassion for us and our guests. I would highly, highly recommend Dovetail Weddings.
Amanda-Lynn is simply the BEST in the industry. Even amidst a pandemic, she can make any wedding dream come true. She was not only a phenomenal wedding planner with the best ideas,...
but she was also the best support system!
I recommend her to every bride I know.
She’s also the absolute sweetest human you’ll ever meet!

fixed every big or little problem. Best part- she made SURE we sat down and had a plate of food which is what everyone misses at their wedding. I highly recommend her. Her price is so affordable for the talent she brings.
Amanda-Lynn was amazing on our wedding day! My fiance and I were in need of a day of coordinator. We had gone through the process of finding our own vendors and location in the y...
ear leading up to our big day. As we got closer, it became very clear we were going to need help the day of so we could focus on each other and having a great time with our guests.
Following conversations with a few local providers, Dovetail seemed like the perfect fit - conversations with Amanda-Lynn just felt right and she brought a level of excitement that was above and beyond.
In addition to helping us on our day, Amanda-Lynn provided us with some info that was helpful as we planned out the details of our special day.
On the day of the wedding, she showed up at the venue early, helped coordinate the vendors and set up to ensure our venue was exactly what we wanted. Her and her assistant also stayed late to pick up and organize all of our DIY wedding decor and items so the next day all we had to do was pick up our items from the venue.
The day went smoothly and our guests had an amazing time. Amanda-Lynn kept us on track for our timelines and everything seemed to flow so well the day of - we didnt have anything to worry about. I would highly recommend Dovetail to anyone who is seeking out a coordinator - her and her assistant did an amazing job for us!
Y'ALL. We had a dream team for our wedding, but Amanda, with Dovetail, was by far the star of the show. She was always extremely timely with all of her responses, did things that w...
e never could have expected of her (calligraphy on a mirror the day of + a million other special details), and was a perfect mix of professional and super comfortable with us. I, to this day, want to get drinks with her just to learn more about her. She kept an organized list of all of our vendors (and their payment dates), and she followed up with all of them leading up to the wedding. I was very overwhelmed with the whole wedding planning process since my husband and I have busy jobs, but Amanda made everything seamless and perfect. She is the reason why our wedding turned out the way it did...PERFECT!

ting with vendors, set up, and take down. She even made sure we had food at the reception. We were able to just enjoy the day and celebrate with family and I can’t thank her enough.

give her expert advice. Thanks to her, my wedding day went off without a hitch. I was actually able to relax and enjoy my Big Day without having to worry about a thing. That for me was priceless!

ordinator! She is extremely organized and our entire wedding day was more enjoyable and stress free because of her! Thank you so much Amanda for everything you did for us!
A very “hands-on” bride on a budget, I was reluctant to hire a Day of Coordinator as I didn’t want to feel pressured into more “services” than I bargained for. I was so relieved wh...
en I found Dovetail Wedding Coordination and read about Amanda’s vision for her company. Her Day of Coordination Service was exactly what I needed and was comfortable signing up for.
Amanda was personable and easy to work with, very kind and supportive, and extremely helpful throughout the weeks before the wedding. I can’t emphasize just how invaluable it is just to have someone else by your side absorbing all the logistical information and just “taking care” of things. And that is exactly what Amanda and her team did for us - finalizing details with the vendors, creating the timelines, making sure the decor and details were just how I visioned, and touching base with me every step of the way. I also hired her to run the rehearsal to make sure everything was perfect and it was.
During the wedding, I didn’t have to worry about a thing and the Dovetail team kept us informed and on task throughout the evening. Everything went very smoothly and I was very thankful to have them on board overseeing it all. I highly recommend this trustworthy, sweet, and very talented coordinator!!!
Amanda was amazing and made my day so special!! I didn't know where to start with planning (and booked less than 6 months out) and she helped walk me through it all with calls/text...
s/emails/visits (I am in CA) and helped me research vendors, get quotes, know the right questions to ask, help me with all my indecisiveness :) and more. Rehearsal and day of she pulled off a seamless 200 person wedding which I know was so much work! Everyone enjoyed working with her (especially me!) and I couldn't have ask for a more perfect day! Thank you!
I could not be more overjoyed with Amanda-Lynn and her team. Amanda-Lynn is a wonderful wedding coordinator, it is in her blood. She provided confidence in areas I was unsure of an...
d suggested ideas that I would have never thought of. She read every email I sent and made sure she understood my vision for our wedding day. She even took time out of her Saturday, day before Sunday wedding, to make sure everything was still going well and if there were any issues she needed to know about/handle. The most important part was making sure my mom had a fantastic helper, so she would be able to enjoy the wedding and be there for me. My mom felt like she did not miss a moment and that meant a lot to both of us. Amanda-Lynn went up and above all expectations, following up with the pie company when they were running late, suggested awesome vendors, keeping to her word with all we discussed, was willing to show up for the rehearsal (if needed) and she even ordered us an uber to leave in after the reception!!! Amanda Lynn and her team was a valuable part of our wedding. Without them I don't think everything would have come together as smoothly as it did! Thank you Dovetail Wedding Coordination <3
Amanda made our wedding day stress-free. She is very easy to talk to and has a peaceful energy about her that I loved (and sense of humor too!). The 2 days that she worked with us ...
unfolded effortlessly with her help. Also, her website is super user-friendly, where you can easily communicate and review your event details and timeline.
Without a doubt I recommend Dovetail Wedding Coordination for any wedding or party, big or small.
Thank you again Amanda, for helping make February 11th, 2017 such a memorable day for us and our family/friends. We truly appreciate it!
Love Always,

I am very picky when it comes to vendors. If it wasn't for her, my wedding wouldn't have went as perfectly as it did...Everything ran so smoothly! We stayed on time the whole day and if anything went wrong, we never knew about it! Siann (Amanda's assistant) decorated my reception exactly as I imagined and we really enjoyed having her as part of our day! Amanda is super professional, but also easy to talk to and lots of fun. Trust me when I say, you NEED these ladies for your big day! Best wedding decision I made, hands down!

ntact with all our vendors, and made it her goal to make sure our planning process was stress free. The day of our wedding everything went perfectly! The only thing my husband and I had to do was enjoy our day! Amanda is extremely professional and kind. You get the sense that she loves, and is passionate about her job. I unequivocally recommend Dovetail Wedding Coordination.
Amanda and her assistant Sienna were the day of coordinators at my wedding on March 5, 2017, and did an absolutely WONDERFUL job!!! From the very beginning Amanda was always profes...
sional and prepared, she made me think of things I hadn't even realized were important! We had a pretty rowdy wedding party (lol) yet Amanda was able round everyone up and get everyone to focus and stay involved. She was so sweet and kind, everyone who came into contact with her had nothing but positive things to say! Without her help, I would not have gotten the wedding of my dreams, and I will be forever grateful for that. Please please please hire her! You will not regret it!
