Dow Oak Photo Booth

The Dow Oak Photo Booth led by Aaron was absolutely awesome at our NYE wedding! We were so lucky that Aaron was the attendant at our wedding. The guests loved him and he made the photo booth so easy to use! He showed up early and had everything set up so the photo booth was ready to go the second cocktail hour started. We would highly recommend them!

Dow Oak was the DJ and Photo booth vendor for a 1 year anniversary celebration party. Dow Oak Events was so great to work with from the very first interaction, all the way till the end. They had every detail covered and had answers for all our questions that were so very accommodating. We also did the photo-booth which our guests loved! Henry did an amazing job at our wedding! His smooth transitions and song choices kept everyone dancing and having a great time! Our ceremony went wonderfully and he even was able to accommodate our surprise first dance which was so fun to do! The photobooth was a great hit too and I loved that we got copies of all the pictures for our own book!

You MUST book DowOak for your Photobooth! The communication was wonderful leading up to the wedding, our attendant (May) was so kind and sweet and the Photobooth was the HIT of the night. The open air concept is actually the coolest! I would peak over at the Photobooth from time to time throughout the night and May had the biggest smile on her face and you could tell she was having fun. She gave us an album of all pictures at the end of the night and I received the digital files in less than a week after. Super impressed. This was very affordable and the service was worth it all. Thank you so much. I would definitely recommend 1000 times.

Erik was awesome! We met Erik in the very early stages of Dow Oak starting and it's no wonder it has taken off! Erik was with us every step of the way and made it all about us. He was truly flexible especially when mother nature decided to drop a few inches of snow at the end of March. You would have thought we planned our day that way. From the ceremony to reception, everything was seamless. Once the party got going, it was like he knew what we were thinking. We left a lot of the music up to him and he did not disappoint. We would throw another wedding just for the music. Step 1 of your vendor search is to hire these guys!

These guys were great! The fastest of any vendor in responding to all emails (seriously within like 30 min or less). They help you to plan every aspect of the reception with timing. They also make it point to get all contact info for your other vendors so if something is going wrong they can help. They did such a good job we had multiple relatives ask for the playlist, definitely would recommend them to anyone!

Erik from Dow Oak Events did an amazing job at our Wedding! Highly recommend using them! He made the whole experience super easy and the online portal was a great planning tool. One of my biggest worries was that guests wouldn't be dancing but he made sure they were on the dance floor the whole time! He also knew what songs to play to get all different age groups out there. He kept the timeline going smoothly after our planner left and the prices were great too. I can't say enough great things about Erik and Dow Oak events! You definitely won't regret hiring them!

We hired Dow Oak Events and DJ Freddie for our wedding. DJ Freddie arrived early to the event to set up, was very prompt in his responses, and extremely professional. The lighting set the tone and the music was great. He read the crowd well and kept the dance floor going all night!

The day was AWESOME! Josh and I both agree that you were one of our favorite vendor experiences throughout that day and Freddie in particular completely surpassed our expectations. He was able to not only roll with our (slightly abnormal) musical tastes, but he rolled with all the punches and surprises (enter the bagpiper that was unbeknownst to me) we threw at him. He did not just agree to do what we said, but he became an autonomous actor in the whole process, understanding what we wanted to hear based on our reactions, the little surprises we had for each other and for our guests, and on our previous discussions. At no point did we feel we needed to address preferences with him or ask for changes. He had seamless music transitions, a great presence at the reception, and was both professional and friendly. We would highly recommend him and your company to anyone in the future!

Graham with Dow Oak Events was such a pleasure to work with! We used Dow Oak Events for our wedding last week and everything was perfect! He did exactly as we asked and made our night so special! Overall, Ryan was a good dj. He was professional, punctual and adjusted well to our flexible plan. However, we were disappointed with one part: before the wedding we discussed that we would like to hear a mix of German and American songs and more international music since we had a multicultural wedding. We provided him with suggestions of German songs for him to play. In the end he did not play any German songs until we finally requested it directly. Then he continued playing only German music until we asked him again to stop. It would have been nicer if he had played a mix of both as we originally requested. Overall, Ryan did a great job and we had an amazing wedding.

Erik was fantastic. He was very professional. He showed up on time and met all of our deadlines. Moreover, he was very polite and easy to work with. He is an excellent DJ, with great skills. He kept the party going and set the tone we wanted for our guests. I recommend others to invest in his extra lights, they were great. His lights really change the atmosphere and had people loving every moment. He has a very deep knowledge in music and was able to successfully satisfy our diverse group of attendees. Give Erik a shot and he won't let you down.

These guys were on it!! They had everyone dancing and moving the whole night, they probably would have kept dancing if we had the venue any later! They helped so much in the planing process making sure I had thought of everything and helping to fill in the missing gaps! Would recommend these guys to anyone!!

Hiring Dow Oak Events is one of the best decisions you can make for you wedding (or any other event needs)! The DJ for my wedding was Erik and I could not be happier with how my wedding turned out! He made the planning aspect easy and was always quick to respond to questions. We spoke over the phone to confirm everything before the wedding and then the day of I didn't have to worry about a thing! Every time I spoke to someone, they were telling me how awesome the DJ was and they weren't lying! He kept people on the dance floor and I was really disappointed when he got on the mic and told people this was going to be the next to last song because I didn't want the reception to end!

Booking a DJ turned out to be the hardest vendor for us to book! We were torn between going with a band or DJ & I was very hesitant to book a DJ. I had been to several weddings where the DJ was "off" on the music & it set a bad tone for the day. With 3 months left till the wedding, we still had not booked anything when I stumbled upon Dow Oak Events on wedding wire. I was impressed by their high reviews, the amazing prices that they offered (especially compared to every other DJ I had contacted) & the wide range of services they provided. So I emailed Dow Oak & within 10 minutes I had a response from DJ Erik, who we ended up booking for our day! Erik was quick & responsive to all our emails & questions. We set up a meeting to go over music styles, what to expect on the day, & overall aesthetic that we were aiming for. Payment was so easy with Dow Oak, as they have an awesome client portal that manages everything. You just fill out the client form with all important songs, speeches, plus a "Must Play List" & a "Do not play list"--which was very important to me, since I had a specific vision. Dow Oaks let us set up a playlist for our cocktail hour/dinner then a separate one for dancing. This was PERFECT as Erik used our exact playlist for the cocktail hour & dinner to set the right jazzy ambiance I was going for. He then used our reception playlist as inspiration to mix awesome dance music to keep our guests on the dance floor! I had so many guests comment on how amazing the dance music was & how it was one of the best weddings they had been to! Erik was polite & fun for all of our MCing & made sure that the entire day was exactly how I wanted it! Take it from someone who was very wary of "cheesy DJs", Dow Oak Events did an awesome job! Ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, & reception, everything was perfect! Definitely reach out to them for your next event!

We had an incredible time at our wedding and alot of that had to do with the incredible music, smooth transitions, and excellent work that Erik produced. He was incredibly professional, timely, and accomodating. He went above and beyond to make it the happiest day of our lives. He serioiusly cared about making this an all around amazing experience. Dow Oaks and Mason did an excellent job at my wedding in January! They responded within an hours of the first email, they were accommodating and the music sheet they give you to help plan the day made everything so much easier! At the event Mason did an excellent job reading the crowd and keeping the party going! All the transitions were seamless and they were very affordable. I would definitely recommend.

Erik and Dow Oak were a God send. They got back to us within the hour after we first contacted them and every time we needed to speak with them they got back to us usually in under an hour. Erik sent us a great wedding planning sheet that helped us organize the music we wanted and helped us tighten up the playlist and kept things interesting. At the actual wedding, Erik read the crowd wonderfully and got them up and dancing whenever we wanted or whenever things were getting slow. When it came to the pacing and scheduled music everything played exactly when it was supposed to with no issues. One thing we especially liked during the reception was how Erik blended the music together. It wasn't just a swap from one song to another but a really nice blending of songs with one bleeding into another. I've seen a lot of DJs just act like a glorified shuffled playlist but Erik actually worked the songs and made them lead into each other. And to top it all off, he was incredibly affordable. I would give Erik a 15 out of 10 if possible.

We hired Ryan for our organization's holiday party (100+ people). Ryan was on time, polite, and even helped with coordination, lights, mic's, etc. He played a smart mix to keep the entire crowd happy! Ryan was awesome! We will definitely hire him and use Dow Oak Events again. A real professional team!

Erik Massengale was the DJ at our recent wedding. We had known him a few years prior as a friend, but never really experienced his work. I, myself, am a high school teacher and have used different DJ's from around the area (within our vendor list, of course). Erik was, by far, one of the easiest and greatest people to work with. Early on, he was prepared with a layout/tentative timeline for us to look at. He was quick to respond and very personable. He has everything you could need for a wedding! He was flexible when things didn't go as planned and perfect at introductions and feeling out the crowd. He was able to work with all of our songs and did an amazing job! Definitely made our wedding night very special!!

Erik, the owner, is a longtime friend. He handled it wonderfully. As someone that is a technical director dealing with shows constantly, he is top notch. He provided a form to make sure all of our music needs were covered. He was on time and prepared throughout the day of the wedding. Handled all of the details just as planned and kept the music rolling and had people dancing all night. I know I'm the lowly groom :P and maybe my wife will write a review herself, but he (and Dow Oak) provide a worry free experience.

I could not have chosen a better DJ for my wedding last night. I had so many compliments on the great music. DJ Erik was able to get people to the dance floor and he really brought the party to life. We couldn’t have been more satisfied with Dow Oak Events. More than the music, which had the dance floor moving non stop, the service was excellent and he took the initiative when necessary to ensure that speeches and toasts were running on time and that each of the participants were communicated with. We were not stressed or concerned about anything all night, and he was very professional. I feel like Erik was a DJ and coordinator in 1, so the price was well worth it. We would highly recommend Dow Oak Events.
