Down a 5th

This band was INCREDIBLE. My guests wouldn't stop saying how great the band was. We asked for a 90s/2000s dance party and oh did they deliver! I actually had whiplash the following day from dancing so hard. I would recommend them to EVERYONE! AMAZING!!!!

Even 5 months later we are still hearing about the band that played at our wedding from our guests! Down a 5th brought so much fun energy to our wedding and were exactly what we were looking for. They played all the songs we requested, and even learned a few for us! But they have a deep catalogue of songs that once they knew what we were aiming for, took it from there. My husband and I often joke that we want to throw a large party just to hear them play again.

Booking Down a Fifth for our wedding was the best choice we made. I constantly hear about how it was the best wedding ever and that was because of the amazing quality of the music all night long. Our venue’s chef sent his staff home so he could listen to the band while he cleaned up! As the bride, I did not leave the dance floor all night long. The band is extremely easy to work with and has a very deep catalogue of songs. I cannot day enough great things about them!

Look no further when booking your wedding band! We knew from the day we got engaged that we wanted these guys to play our special day. After seeing them play many bars and events in the area it was clear how talented they were and their energy was exactly what we wanted for our big day! Dan, the band contact, was very professional and easy to communicate with via email, sending us a form to fill out to make sure he had our musical tastes covered and so they could learn any of our requests. What we really liked about Down a 5th was their versatility; they were able to DJ the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner and then transitioned to live music for the dancing. Dan also made himself available via text for last minute changes, like when I asked him to play something classical for the walk down the aisle the night before. I had no idea what he would come up with but I remember turning to my Dad with such excitement “It’s Clapton! It’s Clapton” after hearing a string cover of “Wonderful Tonight” before walking to the altar. I have gotten many compliments on how amazing the band was, including from my parents who were hesitant to book live music as they “wanted to carry on a conversation without having to yell over music.” The band managed to balance sound in such a way that you could in fact be seated at the table, or in line at the bar and talk to a guest without shouting, something I can say is not true for all weddings. There was a spot on their survey for “can guests come up and sing?”, being from a musical family/friend group they were so spot on and adapted to whomever was up singing, a tribute to their talents as musicians. In the future I would not hesitate to use Down a 5th for any event, be it live or DJ’d needs and I recommend them to all of our friends getting married!
