List through Downbeat and I can honestly tell you that they were the best wedding band anyone has ever heard and they were worth every penny. They provided the music for our whole day - ceremony, cocktail hour, reception; and I honestly have no notes. They were SO talented, SO easy to work with, had SUCH stage presence. They had the perfect balance of crowd interaction and they truly kept the energy up all night. I HIGHLY recommend the band we booked!!!

ding was like a concert. They got on the floor with us, created a horns congo line, and even put the mic up to me to sing. I thought we were all going to be dancing on the band breaks with the DJ but everyone was so wiped out from the band that guests used the breaks as a chance to go to the bathroom and refill drinks. We had people say they don't remember the last time they danced sober, and even our venue coordinator said they had never seen that many people on the floor at a wedding. The band was attentive to what we wanted, did a beautiful job throughout the ceremony and cocktail hour and perfectly captured the vibe for each unique aspect of the day. They even learned a few special songs for us. The only thing I'm sad about is that I don't know when I will be able to hear them again. In short, amazing.

and talent of this team. They had everyone from Grandparents to teenagers dancing the ENTIRE reception. It was very memorable and so much fun for all of us. A bit of advice: if you use this band, get a larger dance floor because you will need it. Each singer has an amazing voice, a different sound and they are gifted performers. The artists in the band match the professionalism and quality of the vocalists including the brass section! WOW! Downbeat was wonderful to work with and we are so grateful to Gold Standard for making the reception such a joyful celebration. They are truly the A Team. My only regret is we didn't book them for an extra hour or two. We wish it could have lasted forever!

ed on this questionnaire for 4 days straight so I could curate the perfect vibe that would match my husband, our guests and myself. I even put in some example playlists I created specifically for them to reference, as well as important and meaningful songs my dad and husband had asked for. They sadly played none of them. Not even the 3 meaningful songs my family was looking forward to hearing. If they are unable to play the music based on their skillset, totally understandable. But there was no communication that there were any issues. They are too good and too expensive to just completely ignore a questionnaire they send out for their clients to fill out. If you want today's top 100, they absolutely crush it. If you want to hear a few other things than Bruno Mars putting his pinky finger to the moon, make sure you know they can pull that off before you hire them.

as our wedding band, and an after-party DJ. Each part of the night went off without a hitch and all of the musicians were phenomenal. Downbeat was extremely professional to work with and even took custom requests. My wife and I met and lived in New Orleans, and we wanted a second line at our wedding in California. We worked with the band and the horn section, and they learned several second line songs just for our entrance music and paraded around with all of us! This was definitely a highlight of the night and everyone loved it. They also were very open to the songs we wanted on our playlist for the evening, as well as the DJ playlist for the afterparty. The string quartet for our ceremony played the music we requested and it sounded beautiful! It truly brought a special touch to our ceremony. We continue, even a month out, to get compliments about The A-List and how ridiculously talented they were. They brought so much energy and fun to the night and got people out on the dance floor that usually don't dance! I would recommend The A-List and Downbeat to anyone and wish we could have a second wedding just to hear them again!

They brought so much great energy and kept people dancing the entire night. Even when the band took breaks, the DJ from the band played sets that kept everyone going as if the band was still playing. Many of the band members joined the guests on the dancefloor to play their instruments or sing, and just continue to stay engaged with the party. This isn’t your “The Wedding Singer” type cover band, these are professional musicians coming together to put on a SHOW! The band stole the spotlight! My wife and I were totally fine with that since our wedding is really us, hosting dinner and dancing for our guests. It makes me want to renew my vows next year just to book them again. We got married 11/12/2022 and we’re still living that post wedding high. 100000% recommend Downbeat Agency! This is truly worth the investment.

to hire the A-List (full band plus string quartet) after watching some of their videos and loving the way they performed “Higher Love” by Whitney Houston. We had also seen videos on Downbeat’s Instagram and really liked how performers were able to not only put on a great show but also interact with and work the crowd. Even with high expectations, we were completely blown away on our wedding day. The entire band, vocalists, quartet, DJ were nothing short of amazing - their sound, energy and professionalism. We also really enjoyed their take on our first dance song, “Back at One” by Brian McKnight. (Side note: I don’t know if learning songs that you request is typical for all wedding musicians, but it was definitely a plus!) Our guests were all raving about how incredible the performers were. End to end our experience with Downbeat was fantastic. Diego and Joel, the executive and event directors were very nice and helped us understand how to bring our music vision to life - for example, we originally weren’t sure if we wanted the string quartet but are so glad we added them. They also ended up playing for our ceremony. Thank you so much Downbeat and the A-List! We would be truly honored to have you back for another life milestone.

I am not exaggerating when I say we were absolutely blown away by Collective NYC! We hired them for cocktail hour, reception, and after party DJ music and they were so incredible the entire day!
