Downtown Flowers

While the floral arrangements for my wedding/bridal party were absolutely beautiful and exactly what I asked for, I have to give 3 out of 5 stars because of the lack of communication on the part of Downtown Flowers. It was a DAILY STRUGGLE to get a consistent response from the staff by both email and phone. I understand they are busy, and rightfully so, but the lack of attentiveness and the poor communication on their end was unacceptable. My husband and I live in Atlanta which is 2 hours away from their shop in Toccoa. We tried stopping by Downtown Flowers on two different occasions while we were in town, and their shop was closed both times during supposed open business hours. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, and I never expected such poor customer service from a vendor whose top dollar services I was paying for. We made a slight change to our order several weeks before our wedding day (added one mother’s corsage & ordered extra flowers to put on our cake) and when asked to provide us with an updated invoice, Downtown Flowers continued to send the wrong itemized list with incorrect details. If we didn’t already pay the non refundable deposit, we would have taken our business elsewhere without a doubt. Luckily, they provided beautiful floral arrangements on our wedding day… but the stress leading up to it was not worth it in my opinion. I would suggest that this business considers hiring several more employees to help keep up with the seemingly high demand and to prevent this type of treatment towards paying clients in the future.

Downtown Flowers were amazing! They brought my vision to life, I could not be happier with how the flower and arrangements turned out. They even went up and beyond and surprise me with my favorite flower in my boutique even though it was out of season, really made my day special. Thank you! 100% would use again!

Kaitlin was the best! She was so great to work with and went way beyond to please us. The flowers for my daughter's wedding were gorgeous! Pictures to not do them justice. She was so good about repurposing arrangements to help with the budget. I cannot say enough good things about Kaitlin and her crew. I had never seen her work or knew anyone who had used her so I went on blind faith and I was over the top happy! If you ever need a florist in this area she is the one to use. I also ordered a small arrangement for my niece's birthday at the last minute and it was beautiful!

When my husband and I first went to meet with the team at Downtown Flowers, we were so excited to work with them! They were very kind and willing to help us customize our vision for our April 2020 wedding. When COVID-19 forced us to first postpone our wedding until April 2021 they were very understanding. We eloped and they made us a small bouquet and boutonniere, which we paid for separately. We ultimately decided to cancel our big wedding and let them know in July/August of 2020. The owner said that was totally fine and we would be able to get a refund of everything minus our deposit, but that they would need some time to get the funds in order to return to me. That was September 1, 2020. I messaged on September 30th, October 5th, October 28th, and November 2nd via both Facebook Messenger, Instagram Messages, and direct phone calls and did not get any replies or call backs. Finally, on November 3 I called again and demanded to speak with the owner because I was so frustrated. She agreed to give me a refund minus my deposit (even though it took her 3 months and numerous attempts to get in touch with to even get a response) and then took another week to get the refund check in the mail. My husband and I tried to be understanding about how COVID would affect their money situation and how busy they would be with other clients during a busy season, but the lack of communication and transparency throughout the process was the deciding factor in this review. We are so disappointed with our experience with Downtown Flowers. I was already heartbroken about having to cancel our big day and this added stress over money made the experience so much more frustrating.

Y’all, I don’t even know where to begin. I was blown away by Kaitlan and her husband. From our first meeting to the delivery, it was perfect. They understood our vibe and our boho feel. My jaw literally dropped seeing our flowers and aisle display pieces. I still have my flower crown hanging because it is so so gorgeous and special to me. They were so wonderful to work with and nailed our vision. They are not the cookie cutter wedding florists and think outside the box! I adore them and wish I could have more weddings for them to help decorate!!

Downtown Flowers was nothing short of amazing. I spoke to Kaitlan a couple of times and sent her maybe three photos, I knew what “vibe” I wanted and didn’t really know how to explain it fully but she more than delivered!! The flowers were stunning and the guests definitely noticed, everyone brings them up when we talk about the wedding!! If you hire downtown flowers you will not be disappointed!! Their style is current but timeless & boho chic, I just loved everything about every piece and I could not be more appreciative!

Kaitlan and her and her staff are amazing!!! From the beginning she was so very professional and helpful. The flowers she used are beautiful and bigger than some I've seen. To walk down the aisle and see the arch arrangement they put together was gorgeous!!! It really blow my mind away as they helped to make my day special. Their work was beyond my expectations!!!

Kaitlan made my modern, trendy, bohemian, elegant vision for my wedding day flowers come to life!!! Her creativity and artistic ability is what created the most beautiful accents and backdrop to our wedding day. I did not order a ton of flowers, but I did not even have to because what I got was quite the statement. It was all incredibly affordable, which is shocking considering the superior quality of the flowers. I am forever grateful for the stunning beauty she so thoughtfully crafted to meet my expectations. I would recommend 10000000x over!!!!

Downtown Flowers did an amazing job on my wedding bouquet and Kaitlan was a joy to work with. I gave her a few color suggestions and she did the rest. I was blown away with the originality and beauty of my flowers. They were the perfect addition to my wedding day!

I almost went with another florist, but really wanted to pick Downtown Flowers because of the great reviews I had read and praise some of my other vendors had given them. Problem was, they weren't responding to my emails. Just before I went forward with someone else, they got back to me and now I just think it was meant to be! Turns out they had just gone through an employee change and had gotten behind on their emails, but from then on they were very timely on getting back to me. Things happen, and I was able to look past it. I don't regret it at all! I had no idea what flowers were what, I just shared pictures with DF and they went from there. Thank God for Pinterest links 😄 After a couple changes to fit my budget, I ended up with my dream flowers for my wedding. I am so glad I chose Downtown Flowers ❤

The flowers provided by Kaitlyn from Downtown Flowers were gorgeous! My daughter found a picture of the types of flowers that she would like , and Kaitlyn assembled them in a masterful way. Kaitlyn always answered all my questions, provided an itemized bill, and was extremely helpful each time we talked. However, I can not state enough that she did an amazing job in creating the bouquets, table arrangements and other decor. She is fabulous!!

Leading up to the wedding they were great about Reaching out to coordinate with our schedule and make sure they arrived at the easiest time. They were punctual and very kind and helpful throughout the entire setup. Not to mention the flowers were all such beautiful quality and our rental items were perfect! We recently worked with Kaitlin from Downtown Flowers on a styled one-year anniversary session. We were in need of a table centerpiece and a few other floral/greenery pieces. We shared our vision and ideas for our session with Kaitlin and she created a centerpiece and bouquet that were better than we could have ever envisioned or dreamed of. Her floral creativity was absolutely beautiful and we'll be gushing over her work to all of our brides for a long time to come. Absolutely stunning florals! I gave colors and a few different ideas and Kaitlan used her outstanding skills and far exceeded my vision. My bouquet was beautiful and the centerpieces and detail arrangements could not have been more of what I wanted. So thankful and highly recommend to anyone in the area. If you get a chance stop by the store, super cute and lots of little fun decor pieces!

Amazing job!! I was planning my wedding from afar and Kaitlan and Dillon were wonderful! They were able to create exactly what I wanted based off lots of email photos since I wasn’t able to meet with them in person before the wedding. They were able to work within my budget and made suggestions on how to get what I wanted within my price range. They were wonderful about listing the cost for each individual item so that I could pick things I wanted. They were able to provide things that I didn’t ask for until weeks before the wedding and delivered flawlessly! You can’t go wrong with Downtown Flowers!

Kaitlan and Dillon did an absolutely fabulous job turning my Winter Wonderland vision into a reality in three short weeks. I called Kaitlan three weeks before our wedding when our original plan didn't quite pan out, shared the details of my vision over one call and a few emails and she and Dillon created the most beautiful setting for our big day. I cannot thank them enough for all that they did, for their flexibility and attention to detail. The tables, fireplaces, bouquets, arbor and fireplace were absolutely perfect and in my price range (always important :-)).

MADE MY DREAM COME TRUE!!!! They absolutely were so kind and willing to work with me. I had to move to South Georgia for military reasons and she literally made my vision come true THROUGH EMAIL!!! She nailed my colors without having me come in and pick out the flowers. She made the PERFECT bouquet for me and I want to keep it forever. I will definitely recommend this florist to anyone who need a helpful and trustworthy florist!!

I can not express enough appreciation for the beautiful work Kaitlan and Dillon did! The flowers were better than we ever imagined. I wanted artichokes and she gave me artichokes! The colors were exactly what we were looking for and the arrangements reflected both the season and our personalities! And to think we never had a phone conversation only spoke via email and TheKnot messenger (my choice). =) They even drove to the other side of the state to deliver the flowers and took time to help set up our reception. Amazing work done by an amazing couple.

Downtown Flowers are amazing ! A family member of mine had my flowers done at a different shop in town. Well when I went to pick my bouquet up the day before my wedding, it looked like a funeral arrangement, so I brought it here & they made it look spectacular! I also had to bring my bridesmaid bouquet here THE DAY OF my wedding and it turned out amazing as well. Lesson learned, I will ALWAYS come here for my flowers as usual for any need. They are nice and very reasonable on price. You WILL NOT be disappointed if you go here!!

Kaitlan and Dillon are seriously the best! They helped us stay as close as possible to our budget and still get everything we want and more. Paying is so easy too! They let you do payments or just a big sum, which helps a ton with all the different things you have to pay for during wedding planning. They even offered to build an arch and let us rent it when we realized the venue didn’t actually have one. They literally went above and beyond to make our special day so perfect. The flower arrangements, of course, were perfect as well. Kaitlan got exactly what style I was going for and put it together flawlessly. She did everything I wanted style wise for the perfect budget friendly price! I will recommend them to every couple we know getting married! And will be pack for all future events!!!
