My now-husband and I have been together for 7 years, and I have 7 years worth of awkward photos of him where he clearly hates having to pose and have a photo taken.. so it was important to me that I find a photographer he clicked with and enjoyed hanging out with so all of the photos from our wedding weekend wouldn't look like he was in physical pain (ha, but seriously). We met with one photographer who I was ready to book that day. I kept my meeting with Drake because I had read a review on The Knot from another bride (the review explained how she was sifting through her wedding photos and found these great shots of her husband and his groomsmen in a circle having a great moment together and the photo was from above. She couldn't figure out how Drake pulled it off until her friend who attended the wedding mention she had seen Drake climbing a tree to get the shot. That review is what made me keep the meeting with Drake!). After reading that I just really thought I needed to meet this guy who clearly sees opportunities for incredible photos and does whatever he needs to get them. About 5 minutes into talking with Drake I was sold and my now-husband was sold as well. I completely forgot about the first photographer I had loved just a few days before my meeting with Drake. To reiterate, I LITERALLY haven't seen a photo of myself in about 6 years that didn't reduce me to tears from being so uncomfortable with the photo. When we got back our wedding photos, I was so anxiety ridden over my fear of not liking a single one. I think Drake picked up on how uncomfortable I am in front of a camera and somehow captured the joy instead of all of my insecurities. I was crying from overwhelming joy looking at our photos, and I still am 5 months after our wedding. Drake's wife was unable to shoot our wedding with him, but the other female assistant (I hate that I can't remember her name) was so wonderful. They both had the most incredible energy about them, full of excitement for our day, like they were honestly invested in our marriage and the celebration, not just doing a job for a day. They were practically invisible for most of the wedding day, and getting beautiful detail shots and capturing the most special, smallest moments between me and my friends and family. I honestly don't have adequate words to express how phenomenal Drake is as a human and photographer. I promise you he will capture timeless, stunning photos of you and your loved ones. He will exceed your wildest expectations and has an infectious zeal for what he's doing as an artist that makes you so excited as his client. He was so kind to everyone, and managed our circus of a family so beautifully that everyone felt respected and didn't realize they were being corralled, photographed, and excused in record time. After being in countless weddings I've had experiences with pushy, rude, and disrespectful photographers and I've had the pleasure of working with fun, efficient, and talented photographers. Drake and his team are the best of the best. I can't say enough wonderful things about him and his talent, so I'm going to continue gushing over our engagement and wedding photos for the rest of time : )

e price was right. We are so thankful to the both of them. Drake’s wife Ashley was such a sweetheart in helping me not be nervous and did not make it feel awkward, she pulled us all out of our shell during getting ready and was able to laugh and join in the fun. Drake is the same way, so easy to work with, gets you the best shots by putting you at ease and just an all around great guy! We were really stressed because we had a 5 pm wedding in the fall and were were fighting the sun. Despite the time crunch we got so many beautiful photos to cherish! We can’t wait to see the videography! I’m so glad we chose to do video last minute because I lost my vows and did not have a copy. If anyone is on the fence on videography, I recommend doing it because pictures can’t capture the heartfelt words. We are so excited to see our wedding album and loved the personal engraved box they sent us with the drive that held our photos! Turn around time on photos was faster than expected too! They even had a drone to capture some aerial shots of our big day. oot our wedding at Crooked Willow this past October and the pictures he took perfectly captured the incredible day! He is an incredibly friendly and fun person who is very easy to work with! Just to share a little bit about how far Drake will go, we were shooting some pictures after the ceremony by a pond and Drake wanted to get some shots from the opposite side of the pond. He climbed up a rock wall, only to have to jump down 4 feet to get to the spot he wanted. He slipped on his landing and went face first into wet grass, staining his pants and shirt! Thankfully he wasn't hurt and his camera was unharmed as well. When he finally got to the spot and snapped a couple of shots, the sprinklers started to go off! Drake had to run back to the wall and scramble up and back down to save the day. In the end, we were left with a great story that we'll remember forever and INCREDIBLE pictures! We chose a package that included a 12x12 photo album, a variety of prints. Drake did an incredible job organizing the album and it is very high quality! The prints turned out great and he sends you ALL of the pictures he took, not just the "best ones", on a flash drive. We would highly recommend Drake for your special day!

He is able to get the crowd to have fun while also being organized and efficient at getting everyone organized for the perfect photos. He made everyone feel so comfortable and my husband and I really enjoyed spending time with him and Ashley. Not only did he get all the group shots and amazing photos of my husband and I, but he got some special candid photos and action shots on the dance floor. I love how they captured all of the small details throughout the day - my jewelry and dress, the wedding program, the flowers and centerpieces, and the architecture in the church. They did a great job capturing our family and friends, which was very important to me. They also created creative shots throughout the day that may our photos look unique. They were totally committed to doing everything possible to get the best pictures, which included spending 30 min outside in the freezing cold and snow. And they were great people to work with! Drake was very helpful throughout the planning process. He responded promptly whenever I had questions or specific requests. ur wedding day, Drake and his assistant showed up to the site promptly, ready to go, and full of energy. They arrived at the perfect moment to give their opinion on setting up the arch for the ceremony at just the right angle. Then they whisked away the dress, shoes, suit and rings to take pictures. Then each of them took pictures of the bride and groom getting ready. When it was time for our first look, Drake coordinated the timing perfectly to capture the special moment. At one point, he had us stand on a bridge, and he went off tromping down the hillside towards the creek. He doesn't let anything get in his way, and is fearless in capturing the shot he wants. He consistently gave us pointers on where to look and what to do, which I found extremely helpful. He choreographed our wedding party in a few different locations around the property which turned out amazing. During the ceremony it started to rain, and Drake passed out about a dozen umbrellas that HE had brought. For pictures after the ceremony, he pulled over a handful of chairs himself to arrange people in a group. He directed people where to go and how to stand, so that the spacing in all of the pictures were perfect. He consistently went above and beyond, all day, and into the evening during the reception. I couldn't be happier with the pictures that Drake and Haley captured. Everyone who has seen the pictures has commented on how awesome they are!
