Dream Cakes

ve the chocolate cake of my dreams.

up with us as we leafed through each and every page of her example work. They are also extremely flexible - all three tiers were a different flavor. Dream Cakes has everything down to a very, very delicious science. If you’re thinking about it, do yourself a favor and book with Dream Cakes!

y the end of the night. I was literally so relieved they were able to fit my cake in basically last minute due to poor planning on my part. Literally save me!! So delicious too. Thank you a million!

us, and absolutely beautiful. We could not be happier with our choice to go with Dream Cakes for our wedding and are already looking forward to having more cake on our first anniversary!

t on her menu, and she made it for us, no problem. Her cakes are also AMAZING and received rave reviews from our guests. We're so happy we chose Dream Cakes and would do it again. 10/10!

team is small but mighty! this vendor is easy to work with and communication was smooth! they even threw in some extra cupcakes for us on the day of, a wonderful surprise and a wonderful dessert shop!

ok and simplicity.

olate cake with caramel and peanut butter layering it was super unique and amazing! The cake bites were also a huge hit, would recommend ordering double of what you think for those cause they went so fast!

resh and delicious. If I'm being honest, I still daydream about the cake tasting experience we had with Dream Cakes — they sent us home with 3 mini perfect cakes in 3 perfect flavors, making the decision-making process so much harder (in the best way). Planning was flawless, delivery was flawless, decoration and taste were flawless. 15/10 would seek them out for cake again!

ll as clearly knowledgeable about making beautiful, delicious cakes. We tried three samples (all of which were delicious) and they listened to what we were thinking, providing very helpful advice. On the day of the wedding, the cake was gorgeous and so many of the guests commented on how good it was. Dream Cakes is definitely the way to go - highly recommend!

are so grateful for their amazing work and for literally making our dream cake!

uldn't agree more!

que groom's cake (Lord of the Ring's Tower!) and both looked and tasted fantastic. Johannah quickly got my vision for the tower cake and she executed it flawlessly. We received multiple compliments on both cakes and my husband absolutely loved the Lord of the Rings cake. I would highly recommend Dream Cakes to any Portland bride looking for the best of the best.

our wedding cake. They were apologetic and did offer a partial refund.

nd words . . . . . just imagine how sad the cake appeared with a small band of blush & berry watercolor on the bottom third of the bottom tier - the rest plain white. The flowers on the cake were added after the fact. Thankfully, our florist came to the rescue minutes before the reception began. Not only did they not get the desired watercolor appearance, but they were charged extra for it!?! To add the large single flower that the couple requested (more than the requested 30 days in advance) would have been . . . extra! And you guessed it - $75. Up-sell and along with it - up charge - expect everything to be another $75. How much was spent on this vendor? Too much. No phone – just email. No credit cards, just checks. When we tried to creatively tackle the extra costs with less cake, we were met with a brick wall. Difficult to work with. The cake tasted great. NOT their dream cake.

ct turquoise color we used throughout the wedding. I highly recommend her! :)

pproached me at the wedding to ask about the banana cake; so so good. Johannah was super friendly and easy to get in touch with. I highly recommend Dream Cakes to anybody!

ed caramel filling as well as lemon curd with berries for the other layers.

ke was the first to go for the desserts it was that amazing! Totally recommend her!

en happier with our wedding cake from Johannah. She was very responsivve to emails. We went with dark chocolate with salted caramel and white cake with home-made lemon curd and fresh berry filling (two of the more popular options). I sent a few pictures of cake designs I liked, and when I showed up to the reception, and there was a beautiful wedding cake. And best of all, it was amazing. Our guests loved the cake and so did the bride and groom!

mely responsive to emails and asked for details months in advance, which helped minimize the last minute wedding planning stress. She even helped me plan a surprise birthday cake for my dad and a groom's cake for our rehearsal party. She even delivered it and made a really cool airplane fondant topper for my husband's groom's cake. They were surprised and it was fun to try out some different cake flavors. For our wedding cake, I wanted something different than traditional wedding cakes. I love the look of semi-naked cakes and I also do not like the taste of fondant. We got a three tiered cake to feed 100 people. Other than the semi-naked cake request, we did not have a specific vision for our wedding cake and gave Johannah creative freedom. She suggested a splattering of gold foil and our wedding cake was everything we wanted it to be and more. Our wedding cake complimented well with our wedding decor. Johannah even contacted Something Borrowed Rentals to confirm the dimensions of our cake stand. She delivered our wedding cake in a timely manner to Zenith Vineyard in Salem. We also ordered 40 cookies, which looking back I wish I ordered more. They were a hit! Our guests raved about how delicious and moist our cake was and how fun the cookies were for a late night snack. My birthday is coming up and I have a feeling my husband is arranging a birthday cake with Johannah. She is absolutely amazing and she will do everything in her power to make your day special!

h I can't thank you enough!!!

icious!! Not to mention it was affordable for a gluten free bride and groom cake, for our guests we did Voodoo doughnuts which was a hit. But my husband and I loved our own personal cake!! Thank you so much!

inches of flooding in the area and flooded roads, our cake was still delivered to our venue early and was absolutely beautiful. Would recommend her cakes to anyone that asked! We got so many compliments about how delicious our wedding cake was!

her to everyone I know getting married and will for a long time. Great lady!

ointed! The cake was designed through email and came out better than I could have pictures. There were so many flavors to choose from and it may have been the best cake I have ever had. Even if we could have picked our cake vendor there is no way we could have done better!

design was beautiful--we had both a small cake and different flavors of cupcakes. The cake, fillings, and frostings are all so tasty, and our guests loved them! We had so many compliments on our desserts.

esign ideas, flavor combinations, and was able to execute our vision perfectly. On the day of our first meeting, she had 3 mini cake samples prepared for us to take home, which were excellent and ultimately made our decision to choose Dream Cakes simple. Our wedding was held about an hour and a half away from Portland, which required a delivery fee which my husband and I felt was very reasonable. We would happily recommend Dream Cakes to anyone looking for a personable cake baker with beautifully designed and deliciously moist cake. Thank you Johannah and Dream Cakes for making our day special.

had NO cake left from the wedding and none left on any plate. Be sure to order a small cake to save. Her flavors are fresh and she has a great variety to select from. The cake was moist and delicious. Everyone at our wedding was impressed. She managed a large wedding with ease (we had 145 people), made the cakes perfectly to our specifications, and with materials we wanted, she decorated the cakes beautifully. We were so excited then we saw the cakes at the reception. She delivered on time and made our wedding a truly unforgettable event. The pictures of our cakes look like they were made for a photo shoot. We couldn't have asked for mbetter service from anyone. I would highly recommend her, you will receive exceptional 5 star service for a very modest price.

Dream Cakes deserves all caps. They were highly professional, responsive and the product was of the highest quality. Hire them. Hire them at once.

fessional! The frosting was perfect and everyone raved how good the cake was! Highly recommended!

onally make each cake from start to finnish. She is a gem! She sat down and really got to know us and our personalties and listened to our thoughts and ideas - in the end it was just perfect. Not too mention that her cakes are gourmet! They taste amazing! You wont find better wedding cake in town - Im sorry to say - we tasted our share! So delicious!!

mple one tier cake with no extras to the most extravagant cakes ive seen with beautiful handmade sugar flower creations. My personal vision was a flawless smooth finish with nothing but flowers cascading down. For how smooth as i wanted this cake it was going to be hard to do without using fondant (yuck!) but Judy made it happen. She made me a perfect 4 tier cake with a flawless finish made out of her beyond delicious butter cream frosting. Judy's cakes are so good, I did 3 cake tastings and nothing compared. There was not one single slice of cake left after my wedding. I couldn't be happier!

00 people - and our 75 guests devoured it. My only complaint is that I didn't order enough to have any leftovers to take home - and that Judy doesn't bake for less than 100 people so it will be a long time until I get to taste it again! Our guests raved about the lemon poppyseed cake with lemon custard and fresh whole blueberries for days. My mother loved the chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache and whole raspberries. I'm pretty sure my father-in-law ate the entire coconut top tier. The color also perfectly matched the pink paper I used for my menus and escort cards. It was lovely!

st tasting cake I have ever had. People are still talking about for month later! Judy was so wonderful and easy to work with. She really listens to what you want and even better she makes you mini cakes to share with friends and family as a taster before the event. I cannot say enough great things about her and her beautiful delicious cakes, I will defiantly be coming back!!

e design. In addition to that the price was very reasonable. Thank you Judy!

s. The cake was incredible and guests were coming back for more!

qually delicious and left guests commenting all night long. I would highly recommend Dream Cakes!

tion I had and agreed to store, decorate, and deliver a special cake for me, and she didn't even charge extra!! She was such a pleasure to work with and I will be looking for any reason to work with her again!!
