They have a portal which is easy to use and keeps everything so organized. The lighting was perfect for our outdoor venue and tent! The photobooth was full the whole time! which really made me feel like he had it under control. Dream day provided mics for the ceremony & uplighting for the dance floor both of which added significantly to the quality. When it came time for the actual party DJ Sam did a fantastic job of getting people on the dancefloor and keeping them on the dancefloor. I had multiple people compliment me on the DJ after the wedding. I really can't say enough good things about him. He was a great emcee for announcements as well. I would not hesitate to book him again!

Dream Day enough!!! From booking in the beginning, I talked to Sam, who helped coordinate the initial logistics and offered much of his time/personal calls with us to make sure they were aligned with the vision we wanted. Tyler was recommended to us for the vibe we were going for, which was timeless, classic and still a lot of fun! Tyler was the PERFECT touch to our wedding day and I couldn’t count the number of times guests came up to me to compliment Tyler and the music being played. My husband and I feel so extremely lucky that we sound such a great DJ, who went above and beyond for us. We had a few special requests, which included music being played during our ceremony ring exchange, music remixes, etc. and Tyler jumped on each opportunity to make sure he was doing the best job he could for us! Everything played out not only seamlessly, but fantastically. He is a one of a kind genuine human being and anyone would be lucky to have him be a part of their wedding day. He 100% will make it more special and perfect. Thank you to Tyler and the whole Dream Day fam! We feel so lucky we got to work with you and couldn’t thank you enough! Dream Day Charleston's website and online music portal were great resources that helped us start the music planning process! Sam even provided playlists for pre-ceremony options, cocktail/dinner music, and reception songs for every type of music taste. Sam took time to meet with us before our event to walk us through the day and and help us nail down final song choices and details. He even helped us edit and cut down our first dance song. Execution on the wedding day was flawless. The ceremony was great, Sam made sure the officiant was properly mic'd, our speakers had microphones, and made upbeat announcements to keep our event progressing. DJ Sam got everyone out on the dance floor with his great mixes and was able to take requests. I would highly recommend Sam for any event! His energy, passion, and professionalism are off the charts.

like the music took awhile to start, like he forgot what songs were supposed to come next during the ceremony. He also announced our best man wrong & played our first dance song wrong. He played all of our dedicated songs during the Buffett and while we were making our rounds so I wasn’t able to spend that song with them. Other than few hiccups the flow of the night went great and people loved his playlist during the actual party time.

fessionalism, communication, planning portal, and ultimately the fun dance party that was delivered. We feel our couples deserve some insight into this review. First, you're right. Although rare, our DJ made a human error with the first dance. He actually prepped and prepared the correct First Dance song...but then accidentally faded in wrong song for a few seconds. Luckily, since the correct song was prepped and prepared - he was able to quickly fix the mishap and bring in the correct song. Still, this was totally our fault. And the result of an honest human error. We are truly sorry for this mistake, as we know it bothered you - understandably so. It's the opposite of what we're known for - which is the ability to execute highly tailored weddings. We try to be perfect, but perfection is impossible - still we will continue to keep that as our goal. As for Best Man announcement - that was a communication mix-up in the planning material. It's reasons like this that we always prefer to connect with our couples 1 on 1 before their big day. Our DJ reached out to connect, but didn't receive any correspondence back. We feel the music was played timely and dedication songs were appropriately placed, still, we're truly sorry that you didn't have the 5 star experience you deserved. Thank you for acknowledging the efforts and overall delivery. We are grateful to have been a special part of your wedding and your dance party. The vibes were immaculate. Everyone in our family loved the photobooth as well as the music. Everything was executed so perfectly. I still have people raving about the music and the dancing that we all encountered on our wedding night! The photos from the photobooth were also amazing and super easy for everyone to download! All our guests have still been raving about how fun DJ Sam was and the amazing music he played. We loved how he played songs from our list but also mixed in songs that went with the vibe of our night. DJ Sam really knew how to get all ages on the dance floor and have a good time! We were so happy that we did the full package with uplighting and the photobooth because it made such a difference. The photobooth especially was a guest favorite and was so easy to have guests access all the photos. Having an amazing DJ is something you cannot skip out on for your wedding and we cannot recommend DJ Sam enough!!

. I had very specific genres and vibes that I wanted for the wedding (even a do not play list) and Sam completely knocked it out of the park for both the ceremony and reception. He showed up early and played music while the rest of the vendors set up and it really created the perfect atmosphere before the guests started to arrive. While my groom and I were taking pictures during cocktail hour we kept whispering to each other “Omg I love this song” “dude, he’s killing it” and he continued to “kill it” all night long. Sam is professional, reliable, kind and really knows how to read the room and keep the party going which isn’t always an easy task during a wedding reception. Not only that but he was a superb MC. I always think wedding MCs sound a little cheesy but Sam was calm and cool almost like we asked our friend to do it for us. Our only regret is that we didn’t take advantage of the photobooth add-on and that we don’t have another event that we can hire Sam for! I’m now trying to convince my engaged friends to have him at their wedding because he truly is the best.

w of our special songs. The uplighting was a great compliment to the space and the vibe. We put our full trust in Jayson the day of our event to mix in with the songs we requested and he killed it. We might be a little biased but Dream Day played a huge role in making our wedding the best party we’ve ever been to.

I have worked in the event industry for 6+ years and have crossed paths with many DJs. When I was planning my wedding, I did a lot of research, and I found Sam with Dream Day. I ha...
d never worked with him before so we scheduled a call and clicked instantly. Sam is so personable and professional and I probably took up too much of his time that day because he was so easy to chat with. The forms in the DJ portal were easy to complete and Sam was always reachable with any questions. He guided us on editing length of our special songs (first dance, etc.) and even made suggestions based on the importance of the lyrics (y'all, like he listened all the way through our special song and let the lyrics resonate with him before making suggestions). He called a couple days before the wedding to check in and make sure everything was how we wanted it. Day of he was a total sweetheart and vibed with all our guests. He mixed songs together and MC'd the night flawlessly. PLUS, his DJ booth is so aesthetically pleasing and blended right in with the wedding decor (yaaaay no ugly folding table with black linen). I can't speak highly enough of Sam and, as both a former bride and an event planner, I would 12/10 recommend him for your next event! Don't hesitate, just book him, I promise he's worth it!

t! It was such a hit with our guests, and it was so much fun to look back through the photos after the wedding! We are still getting compliments on how awesome Sam was at getting everyone on the dance floor and how well he read the room! Sam was so professional and was great with communication before, during, and after the wedding day. We had the Dream Day Package with uplighting and the photobooth, and I wouldn't have changed a thing! 10/10 would recommend this package!! Hands down best DJ in Charleston! We are SO glad we booked Sam for our wedding! THANK YOU SAM!!!!
