We had DJ Sam at our wedding at Parcel 32 and he did an amazing job! From the beginning all the way through planning Dream day Charleston is very professional and great with communication and I loved their planning website that helped keep me in order throughout the craziness of wedding planning. The dance floor stayed busy all night. No one was ready to go when the last song came around!

DJ Sam was amazing. I really liked the planning website that allowed to mark, do not plays , must plays and any dedications. He also texted me ahead of time to confirm our choices which really made me feel like he had it under control. Dream day provided mics for the ceremony & uplighting for the dance floor both of which added significantly to the quality. When it came time for the actual party DJ Sam did a fantastic job of getting people on the dancefloor and keeping them on the dancefloor. I had multiple people compliment me on the DJ after the wedding. I really can't say enough good things about him. He was a great emcee for announcements as well. I would not hesitate to book him again!

10/10. We were so lucky to have Dj Sam at our wedding! He was absolutely amazing and made the entire night! Every guest was on the dance floor all night and he blended music together perfectly. We would book Dj Sam 100 times over!!

We were lucky enough to be matched with DJ Jayson, who couldn't have been better! We were consistently told by our guests that he was the best wedding DJ they had ever heard, with a couple friends even adding him on Instagram so they can reach out to book him in the future. He kept the dance floor going the whole night, and our dance floor was nearly 3 hours long. He played a perfect mix of songs, took requests from the guests, and was just the best time. Thank you Dream Day Charleston!!
Tyler was AMAZING!! We’re not from Charleston and we were planning a destination wedding, which meant trusting a company you aren’t super familiar with. I truly could not recommend Dream Day enough!!! From booking in the beginning, I talked to Sam, who helped coordinate the initial logistics and offered much of his time/personal calls with us to make sure they were aligned with the vision we wanted. Tyler was recommended to us for the vibe we were going for, which was timeless, classic and still a lot of fun! Tyler was the PERFECT touch to our wedding day and I couldn’t count the number of times guests came up to me to compliment Tyler and the music being played. My husband and I feel so extremely lucky that we sound such a great DJ, who went above and beyond for us. We had a few special requests, which included music being played during our ceremony ring exchange, music remixes, etc. and Tyler jumped on each opportunity to make sure he was doing the best job he could for us! Everything played out not only seamlessly, but fantastically. He is a one of a kind genuine human being and anyone would be lucky to have him be a part of their wedding day. Sam from Dream Day Charleston is an awesome DJ! We found him as a recommendation from our planner who had all great things to say. We're so glad he was able to DJ for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. From the start, Sam was responsive and personable. Dream Day Charleston's website and online music portal were great resources that helped us start the music planning process! Sam even provided playlists for pre-ceremony options, cocktail/dinner music, and reception songs for every type of music taste. Sam took time to meet with us before our event to walk us through the day and and help us nail down final song choices and details. He even helped us edit and cut down our first dance song. Execution on the wedding day was flawless. The ceremony was great, Sam made sure the officiant was properly mic'd, our speakers had microphones, and made upbeat announcements to keep our event progressing. DJ Sam got everyone out on the dance floor with his great mixes and was able to take requests. I would highly recommend Sam for any event! His energy, passion, and professionalism are off the charts.

We used dream day for our photo booth they were amazing and so affordable! Very professional and on time. They send you questions prior and make sure you have a portal set up so everything goes smoothly.
Working with Dream Day was 10/10! From the very beginning, communication was clear and Sam was super helpful to assist us with finding the package that made the most sense for our wedding. We worked with DJ Jayson who was awesome! We even had a sax player travel to Charleston and Jayson made it an extremely seamless experience. Our guests were raving about how fun the dance floor was and absolutely loved the photobooth. If you're looking for a DJ for your big day, Dream Day is the vendor to choose!

HIRE DREAM DAY!!! I cannot even count the amount of guests that told me that DJ Jayson was the best wedding DJ they have ever heard. He kept the dance floor packed literally all night and had the best music selection for us and our guests. Sam, the owner of the company, was also great to work with. Dream day is unmatched when it comes to wedding entertainment and they truly made our wedding an unforgettable party.

The professionalism and communication were excellent as well as their portal was very user friendly. We did have some issues day of, our DJ did mess up a few things. It always felt like the music took awhile to start, like he forgot what songs were supposed to come next during the ceremony. He also announced our best man wrong & played our first dance song wrong. He played all of our dedicated songs during the Buffett and while we were making our rounds so I wasn’t able to spend that song with them. Other than few hiccups the flow of the night went great and people loved his playlist during the actual party time.

eview. First, you're right. Although rare, our DJ made a human error with the first dance. He actually prepped and prepared the correct First Dance song...but then accidentally faded in wrong song for a few seconds. Luckily, since the correct song was prepped and prepared - he was able to quickly fix the mishap and bring in the correct song. Still, this was totally our fault. And the result of an honest human error. We are truly sorry for this mistake, as we know it bothered you - understandably so. It's the opposite of what we're known for - which is the ability to execute highly tailored weddings.
We try to be perfect, but perfection is impossible - still we will continue to keep that as our goal. As for Best Man announcement - that was a communication mix-up in the planning material. It's reasons like this that we always prefer to connect with our couples 1 on 1 before their big day. Our DJ reached out to connect, but didn't receive any correspondence back.
We feel the music was played timely and dedication songs were appropriately placed, still, we're truly sorry that you didn't have the 5 star experience you deserved. Thank you for acknowledging the efforts and overall delivery. We are grateful to have been a special part of your wedding and your dance party. I had zero concerns with him taking the reins on the playlist and provided sample playlists to give us an idea of his style. Made planning very easy! Highly recommend!
We hired Dream Day DJ for our April 2024 wedding at Magnolia Plantation and let me just say, WOW. From start to finish - the communication was absolutely amazing. They were so helpful with everything throughout the entirety of the planning process, even with where to set up the photobooth as well as the DJ stand. We used the ceremony services as well as the reception services with DJ Sam and we used the photobooth services as well with Dream Day Charleston. I cannot say enough good things about this company. The vibes were immaculate. Everyone in our family loved the photobooth as well as the music. Everything was executed so perfectly. I still have people raving about the music and the dancing that we all encountered on our wedding night! The photos from the photobooth were also amazing and super easy for everyone to download! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dream Day Charleston to anyone who asks me and we will always be keeping them in mind for future reference!
Sam was awesome- he read the vibe of the wedding and catered the music expertly to what was working. He also made sure to play all of our must-play songs. The wedding portal he had us complete prior was thorough and let us with no doubts that all of our requests would be met. Sam was high energy and fun and we loved him as our DJ. The photo booth was also super fun and we got such great pictures of our guests from it.
Highly, highly recommend! DJ Sam is professional, flexible, and able to deliver a tailored experience. We were really nervous about the music until we started working with DJ Sam. DJ Sam is the best of the best!! We cannot express how happy we were with Dream Day Charleston and of course DJ Sam who brought the party! I was really impressed with Sam's very quick email responses and all his recommendations throughout the wedding planning process. He even made a custom mix for my husband and his mom for their mother son dance! All our guests have still been raving about how fun DJ Sam was and the amazing music he played. We loved how he played songs from our list but also mixed in songs that went with the vibe of our night. DJ Sam really knew how to get all ages on the dance floor and have a good time! We were so happy that we did the full package with uplighting and the photobooth because it made such a difference. The photobooth especially was a guest favorite and was so easy to have guests access all the photos. Having an amazing DJ is something you cannot skip out on for your wedding and we cannot recommend DJ Sam enough!!

I had an incredible experience with Dream Day at my wedding! The music selection was perfect, keeping the energy high throughout the night. Also leading up to the big day dream day was awesome to work with. Totally felt like my vision for the day and what the vibe should be was fully executed. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the amazing music. Also we added on the Photo Booth and it was such a hit with guests and the pictures were AWESOME. If you want a DJ who truly understands how to make your special day unforgettable, Dream Day is the one! Five stars without a doubt.

Jayson was absolutely amazing. He did such a phenomenal job understanding the vibe of the crowd and played music that kept the dance floor full all night! We had SEVERAL guests relay to us that Jayson “was the best DJ they’ve ever heard!” We provided only a few requests for the night and he did a great job accommodating them. Of note, we were glad we did not submit too many song requests because Jayson is an expert at reading the dance floor for song selection. We had the best day and cannot express how thankful we are to have had Dream Day Charleston there to help lead the party!

We LOVED DJ Nikko - he was very professional, honored our expectations and went above and beyond. We especially loved when he allowed us to DJ a song. We also loved when he came out into the crowd and danced with us. We got nothing but great comments about his skills and our dance floor was packed all night long. We highly recommend him for any type of celebration as he perfectly remixed and transitioned the songs all night. We would give him 10 stars if the settings allowed it!

Sam from Dream Day Charleston was INCREDIBLE for our wedding at The Island House! He played all of the songs we asked for and from there he played other songs that got the reception bumping! It’s hard to put into words how much we love DJ Sam. He was so incredibly helpful during the planning process and listened to every request or concern we (mostly me, the bride) had. I had very specific genres and vibes that I wanted for the wedding (even a do not play list) and Sam completely knocked it out of the park for both the ceremony and reception. He showed up early and played music while the rest of the vendors set up and it really created the perfect atmosphere before the guests started to arrive. While my groom and I were taking pictures during cocktail hour we kept whispering to each other “Omg I love this song” “dude, he’s killing it” and he continued to “kill it” all night long.
Sam is professional, reliable, kind and really knows how to read the room and keep the party going which isn’t always an easy task during a wedding reception. Not only that but he was a superb MC. I always think wedding MCs sound a little cheesy but Sam was calm and cool almost like we asked our friend to do it for us.
Our only regret is that we didn’t take advantage of the photobooth add-on and that we don’t have another event that we can hire Sam for! I’m now trying to convince my engaged friends to have him at their wedding because he truly is the best.
Sam was by far my favorite vendor at my wedding! He kept the dance floor full all night long, and played to the crowd expertly. He also accommodated all of my strange requests (shout out to the bridal entrance fake out song!). As a whole, Sam was easy to work with, replied quickly, and truly brought the party to life. I cannot recommend Sam and Dream Day Charleston more!

Jayson, Sam and Dream Day were on top of it throughout the planning process. Their portal is very easy to use and they even gave us some recommendations we ended up using for a few of our special songs. The uplighting was a great compliment to the space and the vibe. We put our full trust in Jayson the day of our event to mix in with the songs we requested and he killed it. We might be a little biased but Dream Day played a huge role in making our wedding the best party we’ve ever been to.

We used Dream Day Charleston for our wedding on 10/15 and can not say enough good things. They were so communicative and made sure we were exactly aligned on what we wanted for our day. We were actually bumming taking pictures because we could hear the cocktail hour music and wanted to get over there so badly lol. They absolutely killed it and all of our guests are raving about how awesome the DJ was!!

I have worked in the event industry for 6+ years and have crossed paths with many DJs. When I was planning my wedding, I did a lot of research, and I found Sam with Dream Day. I had never worked with him before so we scheduled a call and clicked instantly. Sam is so personable and professional and I probably took up too much of his time that day because he was so easy to chat with.
The forms in the DJ portal were easy to complete and Sam was always reachable with any questions. He guided us on editing length of our special songs (first dance, etc.) and even made suggestions based on the importance of the lyrics (y'all, like he listened all the way through our special song and let the lyrics resonate with him before making suggestions). He called a couple days before the wedding to check in and make sure everything was how we wanted it.
Day of he was a total sweetheart and vibed with all our guests. He mixed songs together and MC'd the night flawlessly. PLUS, his DJ booth is so aesthetically pleasing and blended right in with the wedding decor (yaaaay no ugly folding table with black linen). I can't speak highly enough of Sam and, as both a former bride and an event planner, I would 12/10 recommend him for your next event! Don't hesitate, just book him, I promise he's worth it!

Sam with Dream Day Charleston did a PHENOMENAL job with our wedding! Excellent emcee and DJ, fantastic setup for uplighting! If you are contemplating going for the photobooth, do it! It was such a hit with our guests, and it was so much fun to look back through the photos after the wedding! We are still getting compliments on how awesome Sam was at getting everyone on the dance floor and how well he read the room! Sam was so professional and was great with communication before, during, and after the wedding day. We had the Dream Day Package with uplighting and the photobooth, and I wouldn't have changed a thing! 10/10 would recommend this package!! Hands down best DJ in Charleston! I HIGHLY recommend DJ Sam at DREAM DAY Charleston! DJ Sam did our wedding and he was incredible!!! His communication was top notch, the online portal for selecting our songs made it so simple and his set up is beautiful. He called to check in before the event to give us a rundown, and he checked in throughout the night when we had to adjust on the spot due to a crazy unexpected weather event! Anyone looking for a DJ in the Charleston area would seriously miss out if they didn't have Sam for their wedding or event. We hired Sam for our wedding this past May and he exceeded all expectations. I am a very Type A bride and wanted to control as much as possible. Sam was very accommodating and allowed me to create Spotify playlists where I wanted to control the music. He did surpass our expectations during the reception when he was able to play music that had even some of our older guests dancing into the night! There were a few fun moments throughout the reception where Sam's dedicated really shined through, like when we signed our marriage license and he played "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours" by Stevie Wonder. He kept the hot southern evening lively the whole time and played the sweetest message at the end of our last dance. I also shouldn't forget to mention that the very best thing he did for us that day (which earned him 10/5 stars in my opinion) was that he recorded little snippets of us just before the ceremony, dancing with our friends and family, and best of all some of our last dance with our nephew where you could hear that sweet message. Bottom line, Sam gets it. He understands the importance (and stress) of a wedding and was amazing to work with. Thank you so so much for helping to make our day perfect!

If you're getting married in Charleston and not using Sam (Dream Day Charleston) as your DJ... you're doing it all wrong. If you want a true professional, dedicated to giving you the experience you want, who is flexible and responsive, with beautiful equipment (photo booth, DJ booth, lapel and hand microphones) and just overall fun... then Sam is your guy. We had so many friends and family come up to us praising the evening's entertainment - The whole spectrum of guests danced the entire night and now we have the best memories to take with us from the text-to-phone photo booth pictures. I want to hire Sam for every special occasion the rest of my life - but if you need a wedding DJ now don't wait another moment!
Dream day Charleston was fantastic! Hands down the best vendor we have ever worked with. I can’t say enough positive things! Sam was a great DJ and so much fun! My guests were dancing the whole time and had a blast. Sam was SO helpful/organized throughout the whole process. His energy was perfect! We also hired Marissa as our coordinator, and she was a rockstar! Our wedding wouldn’t of been the same without her. I felt like I could relax and fully trusted her to take care of things. Marissa was so kind and went over the top to help make things perfect for our special day. We also got the photo booth (which is a must) we loved looking through the pictures after the wedding and the up lighting which was great for our outdoor wedding. Overall the best wedding decision we made was hiring dream day! Truly made our day so much better!!!

I would highly recommend DREAM DAY Charleston for any of your DJ/MC needs. We had DJ Sam for our wedding and he was awesome! He was very easy to work with, helped us with our reception timeline, and respected any of our requests. He had the perfect vibe for both the cocktail hour and the open dancing. We wanted a party and he gave us a party! He made sure to play a few of our requested songs as well as work off of the guests dancing. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ experience. We were extremely happy with our choice and all of our guests loved the atmosphere DJ Sam created as well!

DJ Sam turned UP! He did a tremendous job throughout my ceremony/cocktail hour/dinner/dancing. He was so easy to work with- all I did was pick out specific songs I wanted (first dance, announcement, walk down the aisle, etc.) and made a few playlists of songs I like for cocktail hour and dancing, and he took it from there! The venue I had my wedding at was a historic mansion, and we had dinner inside. Because of this, we weren't allowed to have amplified music, so Sam went out of his way to ensure there was music playing on small speakers. Highly recommend!!

SAM IS THE BEST. My husband and I got married March of 2022 at Alhambra Hall and Sam went out of his way to make sure we had the best time. I was so happy to have a zoom call with him before the wedding so he knew all of our needs and wishes. He even has an online portal to put in song requests/special songs beforehand. 100% Recommend!

Sam was fantastic to work with the entire process. His website is easy to navigate, and the wedding portal makes it super easy to select songs for special moments and likes and loves.
We gave Sam creativity to read the crowd and play songs to keep people on the floor- and he did just that. From our great aunts and parents, to our former B-girl and athlete friends, the floor was constantly full of people dancing and having a great time.

We recommend Dream Day as a wedding DJ and emcee. Sam killed it at our wedding this past February at the Emeline hotel. Two experienced wedding guests commented that this was the most dancing they had ever seen at a wedding – a testament to the experience he created for us.
Sam was dedicated to understanding the experience we wanted, so he could help bring it to life. He interviewed us in-depth about music preferences, who would be attending, the layout + flow, do’s-and-don’ts, and so much more. Consequently, it was everything we wanted.
He toured the Emeline a month prior to the wedding, working out where to best put the dance floor, lighting, DJ booth & bar.
He created a perfect mix of music that kept both our friends from NYC & relatives from the Midwest dancing all night. We did not need to tell him to skip songs once. He cracked a playlist that appealed to everyone while avoiding the same cheesy wedding music we all secretly hate.
Sam’s recommendation for dinner music was spot on – he created an electric energy all night long.
Uplighting was well done, bringing out the beauty of the Emeline while still being dark enough for a dance party.
Overall, Dream Day is 10/10.

Sam was the most amazing DJ and MC I could’ve ever asked for at our wedding! Leading up to our big day we used the online portal to share our most important songs, requests, and to give Sam our personal style. I provided him with the day of timeline and we were ready to go. It was a stressful week leading into the wedding as you could imagine getting everything prepared and on top of that our trolleys to bring the bridal party to the venue did not show up. When I arrive, Sam was 100% set up and ready to go! He was cheering us on and playing music for the event staff as they finished setting up.
As the ceremony began, the music went flawlessly. As I cried tears of joy through my vows and my husbands, I can’t help but think of how magical everything was. The emotions were high and through the introductions and our first dances, every song was spot on! Next was the cake cutting, I had no idea what song was supposed to be on or what I wanted he played something he thought would be great and it was PERFECT!
I was getting compliments all night long from all of our guests about how great our dj was! It was a magical day and I would not change a thing, highly highly highly recommend Dream Day Charleston for any event you need a dj for!!

Sam provided DJ/MC services for our wedding just this past weekend. Not only was he able to work with my specific music requests/timing for the processional, he was also able to change the sound setup from an outdoor to an indoor ceremony within 15 minutes of us starting. It rained nonstop the afternoon of our wedding, which was not expected. Sam effortlessly rearranged his Bluetooth speaker and nailed our processional, which was never rehearsed indoors!
We also had specific timing requests when introducing our wedding party for our grand entrance song, with which Sam was able to pause our music and introduce the groomsmen/bridesmaids perfectly! We gave him a list of songs that we liked and then let him take control for dinner and the reception. Every single guest that was there at the end of our reception kept saying how awesome the dancing portion was and that our wedding was the funnest one they’d had been too. We couldn’t have done it without Sam!
If you want an upbeat, professional DJ/MC for your event, my husband and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else but DreamDay Charleston. I would hire Sam again in a heartbeat!!!

I have to say DJ Sam from Dream Day Charleston is an excellent choice. He brings so many options from an elegant set up, fun entertainment, great sound system, and custom uplighting of your choice for the reception. Everything was perfect for my daughter’s wedding with great music for everyone! Sam works with you on all the details, the audio for the ceremony, to the special dance songs, then the party really gets rocking! I highly recommend for your wedding. The Dream Day Package is well worth it. ❤️ The digital photo booth is awesome, entertaining, and part of the top shelf package. Sam is very hard working and professional! Had a fantastic time at my wedding on June 6. Sam was a pleasure to work with and he kept people up and dancing all night, despite the hot and muggy weather! Good music and DJ will do that. Also worked with me to personalize my ceremony musician microphones and lapel for main officiant.
Sam was amazing! He was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. He answered the questions I had about getting our music together, the photobooth and uplighting. I had guests coming up to me telling me how great our DJ is. He was also a gem and checked on us while we were doing the family photos (since my husband and I both have big families) and had to do them inside. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to dance due to how long we had the venue.
I also love that the props for the photobooth were nice quality and had a range of style. I would recommend Dream Day ten times over.

The music/dancing was one of the most important things to us when planning our wedding. DreamDay Charleston kept the dancing going all night. We had guests write song requests on the RSVPs and gave it to the DJ. Sam took it and created a mix. We told him we wanted something everyone would dance to because my older relatives love to dance as much as my friends. We pretty much gave him creative liberties, and it paid off. We have been to two other family weddings this season and everyone tells us ours was the most fun. His wife is a great coordinator as well!

Our DJ Sam was amazing from beginning to end. Was punctual and worked with us even when some of our timing was off. As this was a destination wedding for us, he stayed in communication and was always there to answer questions when needed. He was very professional as well as personable at the same time. He kept the crowd going and played everything on our playlist then based all other songs off of that. We had so much fun and didnt want our night to end. His setup was nice and neat with wiring hidden and out the way. HIGHLY recommend him for you special day.

Sam & Marissa were amazing. Sam is a wonderful DJ! He kept the party moving and rolled with all the changes that happened. A chunk of my guests didn't show and the others left super early and he was so reassuring and made me feel better about the whole thing. I loved his music choices that filled the spaces I couldn't. Once again, he was just awesome and my guests loved him. Marissa was also so great. When we decided to shut things down early, she took care of everything we needed and she kept us on track. She went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly for us. I can't thank them enough!

I can't say enough good things about Dream Day as the DJ for our wedding. Sam worked with us one on one to create the best list of music and songs that fit our personalities and the type of wedding we wanted. He listened to what we were after and delivered it perfectly. From the music before the ceremony, the ceremony, the cocktail hour and the reception, he had the right music for it all. In addition to all of that, Sam knows how to work a room. He did such a good job in all the introductions and moments during the reception that were so important to us. He got all the guests out of the dance floor with the best songs and good lighting, and everyone had a great time. Sam is incredibly easy to work with and you can tell he truly wants his brides and grooms to have the best experience with him.
