Dream Light Art Photography

We were very happy with our wedding photos shot by Guillermo. He knew the venue well (The Butterfly House), and as a result was able to find some amazingly beautiful shots. Everything turned out a very high quality at a reasonable price. Overall we would recommend his services, we just have a few small qualms that I am leaving here at the end because we know overall most wedding photographers have great reviews, and sometimes the small negative things can be important in making a decision. These "complaints" only mildly reduced our satisfaction with the final product. First, Guillermo and his wife (his shooting assistant), are friendly, but not the easiest to work with. They can be a bit disorganized when searching for the "perfect" shot which led to a lot of running back and forth during our pre-ceremony shoot trying to cram everything in. We had pretty standard requests (shots with bride and groom, family, and wedding party), but it still took a full hour and a half out in the sun before the ceremony even began. The duration was planned ahead of time, so it's not like it was a surprise, but in retrospect it could have been much more efficient with more organization. What's more, we filled out this long list of all the specific shots we wanted ahead of time (bride/groom/grandparents, bride/groom/parents, etc.) to ensure everything was covered the day of, which I thought was wonderful; however, the day of the wedding him and his wife didn't check off the list as we went through, so half way through they were asking us which we had and hadn't done and everyone was trying to remember and keep it all straight. I think we got everything in the end but it was definitely an unnecessary stress. Finally, it was a little disappointing that there were almost no shots in the final product from the non-dancing guests at the reception. Nearly everything was of the dance floor, so some of our older relatives didn't make it into any shots. The dancing definitely had some amazing shots so I understand why that was the focus, but we would have preferred at least some time spent with the sitting guests. If you want the rest of the reception covered, not just the dance floor, specify this ahead of time with Guillermo. To sum up, if your main priority is stunning photography, Guillermo is an excellent choice. However, if you're looking for a completely seamless experience where the photography runs smoothly without much oversight on your part, you might want to consider exploring other photographers within their company.

We love the photos we got from Tom and Guillermo! They look absolutely amazing! Tom did a wonderful job capturing our day from all different angles. Guillermo was quick to respond with updates and was able to retouch the photos as requested.

We hired Dreamlight Tom Casey as our daughter’s photographer for her wedding at the forest park. Tom was so professional and dedicated. They delivered the products within 5 weeks, which is so ahead of schedule. We love the work ethic and services provided by Dream Light! Highly recommended for sure.👍

We loved everything about working with DreamLight Art! Our photos for both the engagement session and our wedding day are stunning and everyone was flexible with scheduling and responsive to communication. Emily was very organized and creative during our shoots and helpful with working through the wedding timeline, and attentive to our requests and details. We utilized 1 photographer for 10 hours on our wedding day at a very competitive rate but no sacrificing quality. The image processing was fantastic with about a 6 week turnaround from each shoot. We will definitely use them for future photo sessions and recommend to all in the St. Louis area.

We booked with Dreamlight Art in Dec 2023 for my daughter’s June 2024 wedding in STL. I could not have been more pleased with the entire experience. The cost was reasonable, especially with all that is included. We just received our link to the finished photos today -- they are magical! It was a magical day; but between the Photographer, Rebecca Haas, and the finished color processing by Guillermo, I/we are totally blown away. Our expectations were exceeded. Rebecca captured the best light, smiles, and emotions. We don’t have another wedding anytime soon but we will be booking Dreamlight/Rebecca/Guillermo for family shots in the fall.

Before you make a final decision on your wedding day photographer(s), take a second to look at the hundreds of 5-star reviews on Dream Light Art Photography... If that doesn't persuade you, I don't know what will! If there is one thing I could go back and thank myself for, it would be calling Guillermo and booking Dream Light Art to photograph our wedding. They worked with us for year and a half to plan each and every detail, involving both photos and timeline! Through the entire process, Guillermo and Emily were both patient, kind, and equally as excited for our wedding day as we were! Emily was the main photographer on our big day, while Guillermo served as a second photographer during our ceremony. They were both nothing short of creative, upbeat, and amazing. I would recommend Dream Light Art a million times over! When we received our wedding photos back, we were even more confident that we had chosen the right team. We are absolutely OBSESSED with the photos and cannot wait to hang them all over the house. You can tell they put countless hours of time, passion and detail in the photos. We would highly recommend Dream Light Art Photography! We initially were drawn to Dream Light Art because of their flexibility and very reasonable cost. Our daughter was having a small, family focused destination wedding, so we were looking for a photographer that would be willing to schedule us for only a couple of hours, not an easy task, but then we found Dream Light Art. We worked with Guillermo, who was wonderful from our initial conversations all of the way through until we received his beautiful photographs. He took the time to find out what shots we wanted and provided great suggestions based on his extensive experience during a planning session prior to the wedding day, which helped reduce a lot of anxiety knowing we were all on the same page. He was punctual, well prepared, and very professional on the day of the wedding. Finally, he was very efficient with the processing of the images and had them sent to us within a couple of weeks! I highly recommend using Dream Light Art for any photo's, but definitely if you're looking for a wedding photographer. We worked with Guillermo and Warda and they were wonderful! The communication through the whole process was great. We met before the wedding and went over the whole day and what pictures we wanted, and expectations were beyond met. The pictures turned out amazing!! His use of light and eye for color were better than I could have ever imagined. Love, love, love our photos!!

I had an excellent experience working with Guillermo and Gara. Gara shot my sister’s wedding a decade ago, and I was so happy she was available for mine in July! Despite that our wedding day was extremely hot (95? 100?…duh, STL in July), Gara took wonderful photos; my husband and I both expected that we’d look tired and sweaty in every shot. Somehow, we don’t! (Okay, there are a few, but the majority we look just fine!) I attribute 90% of this to Gara’s skill—she is intuitive and able to capture people at their best angles, and she is ready to hop in a car and go “off-location” for a 10-minute photo set. (It was a couple of blocks away, but still!) Plus, she takes a LOT of photos which leaves plenty of room for subjects (like me) to “ruin” a shot and still have a ton of nice ones to choose from. Gara did a bang-up job, and before the end of the wedding, we were happy to call her a friend and guest—not just “our photographer.” Guillermo promptly sent us a flash drive with all of our pictures, and he was extremely accommodating and communicative from the beginning, when we initially discussed hiring Dream Light. I had a really wonderful experience, and it was 100% worth the money. (They have competitive pricing, too.) Thank you, Guillermo! And, again, thank you so, so much for capturing our wedding, Gara!💖

I had an amazing experience with Guillermo for engagement photos and would have had him for my wedding if it wasn’t in another country. He arrived on time and was very patient with us. The pictures came out really beautiful (I was surprised I was photogenic!) and only took a couple of days to send them to us. The price you pay is more than affordable for what you get. Will be recommending to family and friends.

I had a wonderful experience working with Dream Light Art for my wedding! Rebecca was our photographer, and she was so helpful in giving us direction throughout the day so we had a perfect mix of poised, natural, and candid pictures. Guillermo did a great job processing the photos- they look really high quality. We used Dream Light Art Photography for our wedding and we chose Dominique as our photographer. We didn’t have a traditional wedding and they were able to work with us and meet our needs. Dominique did an amazing job with our photos in such a short time we had him! Would highly recommend!

She communicated everything she was doing and got so many different pictures in a 6 hour time frame. She’s amazing at staging photos so it does not look like a minute was missed. When we received our sneak peak, her work was so stunning, it made us anxious to see the rest of her work. Even if you don’t use Gara, I’d use Dream Light anyway, they’re just amazing!!

I loved working with Dream Light Art Photography. Everything went so smoothly and they suggested so many wonderful poses and beautiful backgrounds for our pictures. I can't say enough good things about our experience.

We absolutely loved working with Guillermo and Rebecca! They went far and above on all fronts and we hadnt made it easy. We hired them on short notice after replacing our original more expensive photographer when we found out we had to pay our original photographer per individual photo even for social media files and extra for edited images. With Dream Light we had 1400+ images in multiple quality sizes all color graded and made available as part of their standard package. When confusion about the hours came up from our end and shifted last minute they adjusted and offered a few solutions that would be a loss for them to make it all work out. On the day of Rebecca was amazing working seamlessly with our videographer to get all the important shots and we were amazed with all the candid work she got throughout the evening we would never have seen. She made the bride and the guests all feel comfortable and was very quick and kind. I was a little distracted during the ceremony but I have no clue how she managed to move around and get some of the angles she did without causing any distraction or disturbance. Then Guillermo got all the images edited and back to us in less than a month which was amazing compared to the average of 1 to 3 months our wedding planner told us to expect. We cannot recommend them highly enough. You will not find a better value of kindness and skill anywhere near their price.

I am so happy with my wedding photos from September 2021! Rebecca was my primary photographer and Gara was a secondary with Guillermo doing all of the photo editing after the date. The day of team was fantastic to work with - we set a schedule via email prior to the date since I was coming in from out of town and both photographers were timely and very professional throughout. They were also a good balance to each other, each with different ideas about lighting and location - they helped capture some AMAZING moments! Despite rain, my photos and all of the colors are fantastic because of the way the images were taken and the way Guillermo had them edited! I would absolutely choose this group again (not to mention how affordable they are and how they will work with your budget to get you exactly what you want & need!)!

My fiancé and I met at WashU, so we wanted to do an engagement photoshoot there, and the photos came out amazing! Gara was very accommodating and even met us bright and early at 6AM to shoot a sunrise photoshoot. She was very detailed and told us exactly how to pose. We moved to Illinois 9 months ago since we have a baby on the way and we decided to do our wedding at our house, we looked for some local photographers and we reviewed a little of their work, finally we decided to do it with Dream Art light Photography, from the beginning they collaborated with us with the entire organization to take the photos of our wedding, we cannot be happier with their work, they captured all the special moments without leaving any detail behind, we fully recommend them as they made us feel like family.

The fiancée and I were looking for a local photographer for engagement and wedding photos. We ran across Dream Light Art contacted them. Guillermo was very easy to work with and very flexible in making plans for both of them. We had Gara for a photographer for both occasions. Gara is good at what she does. We spent an hour and a half with her for the engagement photo shoot. She had plenty of ideas for them and they were really good. Gara captured our personality and had fun doing it. She did the same for the wedding! Gara made sure to capture every moment of the wedding. She was taking pictures from an hour before the wedding until a couple hours into the reception. We made stops on the way to the reception to take pictures as well because she saw places that would be nice for our occasion. All of our engagement photos and wedding photos came out really good. You can tell Gara loves what she does because she has that energy that only comes from doing what you love.

His skills with editing and color processing are unparalleled. Rebecca Haas has such attention to detail and is exquisite with posing direction. Rebecca even went 20 minutes over on her time for shooting our engagement session, ensuring that she included all of the poses I sent her in email attachments. You get all the rights to your images, 3 different sizing formats (for social media sharing, printing, wall prints, etc.), file shares via a dropbox, and a flashdrive with all versions of your photos. They absolutely give you it all, with quality, at a VERY affordable price! We had a bad experience with a previous photographer and lost out on a HUGE deposit. Don't let DLA be your redemption photographer - choose DLA first! Rebecca Haas was our engagement photographer, and Gara will be our wedding photographer. 💕
