He also used an app that he shared with us and allowed us to make a list of songs we wanted to hear at the wedding, and he used this as an inspiration for picking other songs through the night. He reviewed this playlist with us after we made it as well, which I found very helpful. We have gotten so many compliments about how great the music was that night. We had a great playlist for dinner, and then once the dancing started we had a full dance floor the rest of the night! I attribute this to the fact that DJWest is very talented at reading the room and deciding which songs are best for the moment. He was also en excellent MC and kept the night and order of event moving smoothly. In addition, he also did the uplighting in the room which was a lovely soft white light during dinner and then he changed the colors while we were dancing to help the atmosphere feel more fun! He and his wife are a great team, and are also very responsive. They always answered our emails and questions very quickly, which really helped my wedding planning stress a lot! We had a wonderful experience, and would definitely recommend working with Westley and his wife for your wedding!!

DJ West did an amazing job reading the crowd and getting them engaged on the dance floor. His MC services also really helped keep the day on schedule and make everyone aware of what was going on. We also contracted for a photo booth - which was a huge hit! Shina coordinated with us to create a template that matched our wedding colors and theme. We loved how quickly we received the digital copies of the photos. Overall, we had an amazing experience with DJ West and Shina. Because of the meetings and forms we filled out, he knew exactly what my husband and I wanted our guests to feel- and how we wanted to celebrate! Due to COVID-19, we ended up having a very intimate wedding but that didn't stop DJ West from getting our guests to party! He had everyone on the dance floor the entire night. DJ West! I hired DJ West with a little over a month to go to my wedding. Planning was rushed, but he made me feel so at ease with the process! Our wedding had two completely different cultures mixing (Polish & Spanish) which he was able to corporate both types of music to truly involve ALL guests. He not only was capable of doing this, he encouraged it so much!! If you have a wedding with mixed cultures or a specific culture, DJ West will go above and beyond to research and execute! He will also party on with your guests if the night keeps going strong! I'm a big believer that if you have a vendor that offers multiple services, hire those services! It makes it less stressful for your planning to deal with less vendors. DJ West offers uplighting which came out beautifully for our wedding! Not only that, but his wife runs a Photo Booth called "A Party Booth" which I would recommend in a heartbeat! DJ West and his wife are a dream team and I wouldn't recommend ANYONE else! I don't care to know how other DJ's/photobooths work because these are the only two I will forever recommend!! You both know we can't thank you enough!!!!!!!!

He was thorough when ensuring how to announce the names of our bridal party correctly. An added bonus to DJ West is his wife, Shina. She was compassionate, caring, and attentive to our needs throughout the wedding planning process. The night of our wedding, she was the most fun photo booth attendant that you could ever have! Her bubbly personality and awesome smile makes her the perfect person to interact with your wedding guests. The dynamic duo of West and Shina are everything and more than you could ask for in a wedding DJ and photo booth vendor. Your wedding deserves the best and DJ West Ent is the best of the best!

the intimacy of our wedding and reception. I remember leaving our planning meeting feeling completely at ease and excited for him to handle our day! We sent him some Do Not Play songs and made him a playlist of our faves (including soca- my husband is west indian) and he made this bomb playlist that had us all sweating and laughing all night! We were so concerned that with such a mixed age group that we did not know what to play, but he got all our guests involved in games and the reception that people told us later they had never experienced it at a wedding before! Not only that- we were shown that not only is he a creative and talented DJ but he really MEANS it when he says he is here for your wedding day and to serve you in excellence. Our pastor coming from Norfolk, VA to Williamsburg (an hour drive if you don't know) was late due to traffic up and down the interstate. Only for him to come and not have our communion for our ceremony. Unbeknownst to me- I watched DJ West from my limo literally SPRINT out our venue and to his car and take off driving (15 min after our ceremony was supposed to start) later I was told that he ran to the store and got things for our communion so our ceremony could be complete! He never said- "that's not my job" or "they didn't pay me for that" he just jumped in and served. THAT is the kind of vendor you want for your day!

Not only did he play great music and the artists that we asked for, he also read the crowd and knew the exact moments to play certain songs. Needless to say the dance floor was packed the entire night. West and his wife are super professional, very detailed, and easy to work with. They also worked seamlessly with our vendor team to make everything align perfectly. Family and friends are still telling us how much fun they had at our wedding! DJ West made our night perfect. We would 100% recommend to anyone!

eline of our reception that we weren't sure about. They offered great advice from their experience but still let us plan our day how WE wanted it. DJ West had no problem setting up a bit earlier at our venue in order to have music for our first look (2 hours before our ceremony started) and stayed high-energy all the way through until closing time. He was an AWESOME emcee, even when we had a non-traditional timeline of events in our reception. He made it out on the dance floor with us multiple times, which we loved! Guests asked me for his name all night long and are continuing to do so because they loved his energy so much! One of my personal biggest fears during our 16-month wedding planning process was having a dull dance floor and hiring DJ West was the smartest move I made. Hoping I can come up with some reason to need a DJ again in the near future! Thank you, West!!!

the only stipulations being 4-5 MUST HAVE songs to be played, and gave him the green light to just run with it and do his thing. Believe me when i tell you he did his THING. We had a large wedding with 131 people in attendance and he kept the crowd LIVE, happy and moving for HOURS! Not only did my guests have fun, but West threw himself into the fun as well and it was so pleasing to see. If you need a DJ that’s going to hype up your crowd and have your family and friends still talking about it for days and days (which i know is going to turn into weeks and weeks) DJ West is your go to man. 10/10 will use him again if i need a DJ in the future. He’s genuine, accommodating and not only did i get a DJ, but i made a friend and that’s something that can’t be replaced. Hats off to you Westley! You definitely made our wedding the BEST day of our lives!

Our dance floor was PACKED the entire night, for over four hours--until the venue literally had to turn on the lights and force everyone to leave. The energy was AMAZING! We had a staggering amount of alcohol left over from our reception because everyone was on the dance floor the entire time, making very few trips to the bar. Music is extremely important to us--and for us, can make or break a party vibe. With that in mind, we gave DJ West a TON of very specific music requests, including specific playlists and requests for each of our cocktail hour, dinner, and dance floor portions of the evening; song mixes; dance floor sets (think: an 8-minute Beyonce segment, cleverly and seamlessly jumping from track to track); MC instructions; equipment requests, etc., and he delivered on EVERY SINGLE ONE. DJ West took it super seriously when we communicated our taste and vision, and we cannot say how much we appreciate it. He exceeded our expectations--and, not to mention, in a week when he had SIX weddings (on a holiday week, at that). I couldn't recommend DJ West enough. He and Shina are true professionals and just all around lovely people.

Here, we listed endless song requests, a timeline with any and all details we wished for, and moments during our reception that we may have requested for a certain song to be played at a particular moment. He made the crowd really enjoy themselves by encouraging them to let loose and have fun, while respecting those who wished to sit and watch. We chose DJ West because we had 3 other couples recommend him to us. My sister is the next friend to have him in her wedding and we are so excited to celebrate with West again! Aside from being a wedding DJ, West gives back to the community by sharing his time with local schools to provide school systems with a trust worthy, responsible, respectable, and of course- fun DJ to host school sponsored events. West is not only the perfect fit as a DJ, but he is also a well rounded top notch kind of guy :). We love you West! :-D

His assistant could even be seen escorting some guests with an umbrella when they left the covered area (seriously, we couldn't have asked for more!). He also knows how to read the crowd and plays a good mix of music based on what he thinks will get people up and dancing. His online portal was super easy to use and we had a lot of fun picking songs we wanted played, too. Overall I just think there are main points to get right for a good wedding: good food, good atmosphere, and good music, and he definitely provides the last two. I highly recommend DJ West!!

He works with your coordinator and teams up with the photographer to make the event run smoothly. I didint have to worry about a thing. I am always a bit leery when it comes to hiring friends for something big. Wes was very professional the whole way through and made everything so easy. He met with us and checked up on us to make sure he knew what we wanted. Looking back at our wedding now, we are so glad we went with him. Our catering was late but on the fly, with the approval of our day-of he lead the reception in a fun game that became a great memory. If you want your wedding to be a party go with DJ West

Missed queues at the end of the ceremony, attitude with my coordinators and not abiding by the order of music from the Bride and Groom showed a big lack of respect which was shocking and sad.

Westley was happy to meet at the venue location prior to the wedding day and was able to quickly determine the best location to set up his equipment. His assistants were a pleasure to work with, and they were able to quickly and efficiently set up the up lighting, DJ booth, speakers, and conduct the necessary audio/sound checks. The best part of the setup process was how relaxed and down to earth they all were. They knew what needed to be done, how long it would all take, and were having a blast getting everything in order. Our favorite part of working with Westley and his crew was how personable they were - both with us - his clients - and our guests. I can’t stress this point enough. We had numerous guests approach us during the reception with countless praises of how incredible our DJ was. It seems none of our guests have attended a wedding where the DJ was so interactive with the crowd - from hyping up the crowd during the grand entrance, commanding the attention of the guests during the formal wedding events, and engaging/participating with the CONSTANTLY packed dance floor. If you are ever hosting an event that requires a DJ, and are looking for someone that makes you feel at ease throughout the entire process, DJ West and his crew is the perfect match.
